I have friends and families across the world who have been affected by the COVID19 pandemic and have been unable to see a doctor since their nature of the medical visit is a non-emergency. Sharing HealthTap with them has given them comfort and peace of mind to be able to speak with a doctor and have their health concerns reviewed quickly. I would like this service to be offered in other countries around the world for a price that is localized to their market so that many other families can benefit from this service!!

The best teledoc
HealthTap is an amazing company that erases the distance between you and the physician. HealthTap managed to establish an environment where communication with a doctor became so simple and natural than ever. Today medical help closer then you can imagine. I definitely recommend having this application on your phone. Even if you don’t need medical help right now, one day this app could save you.

This is an excellent app to have I am a diabetic and have always wondered what a normal blood sugar reading was it took me five seconds to look it up and I got an answer right away by a doctor that had already answered that question for someone else it was very convenient the doctors on this app are very knowledgeable about different things they have doctors in every specialty on this app thank you so much Health Tap you are awesome and keep up the good work

I’ve tried to use this service to avoid urgent care waiting rooms full of sick people. It’s a crap shoot. Always a different Dr and half of them won’t step up and actually treat you, especially now. There are lots of these services now. Plenty of competition. Try any of them before this one.

First time using the app. My doctor was nice with pleasant nature. I m a type 1 diabetic and I needed an antibiotic for a cut that has become infected. With the coronavirus going around I did not want to go to a doctor or clinic. It took about 3 mins to connect to a doctor. We had a 5 mins convo and he sent the script to my pharmacy. Nice, quick and easy. Will definitely use again.

Waste of time and money they charge you 50+ dollars to tell you about home remedies or common sense related things there are better virtual care apps that are more willing to help, pretty much a scam sadly
A doctor’s office visit without sitting next to Mckenzey and her 8 year old flu! My call was quick and easy, meds sent to my local pharmacy. This app actually gives me hope for the healthcare system.
Tedious and unproductive 2/5
Spent about a half hour setting up the account. Including having to troubleshoot past their birthdate page. Then off the input loads of things with their AI. Paid the $49, sounded like the doctor had gotten out of bed. Groggy, disinterested, and clearly hadn’t read anything that I input. Listened for about a minute and said I should see someone locally. Kept asking if I had any other questions, as if not waste my $49. Rated low, and then got a series of emails asking why I would do such a thing. Seek out another app.

I have tried to use this app to access information regarding my health symptoms but have been trying to log on for the past 30 minutes and have yet to achieve any ounce of success. I would say that this app is totally not user friendly. If you need health information regarding your chronic health concerns do not I repeat do not use this app. You could get more effective treatment and care through your local emergency room or ems. Who were the creators of this app hoping to serve. I guess not any consumer. Confused consumer🤔

I want a refund. Use a different service as there are plenty out there. I’ve tried several in the past and NEVER had service this horrible. Worst bedside I’ve ever had.
Dr Brad Goldberg was a total jerk. I was on around 12:05 and his last communication with me was at 12:09 and I waited till I was kicked out for my 30 mins for him to respond again and typed questions for him with no response. The call ended with no further interaction from him. He didn’t even ask questions about symptoms! He did address my issue which is why I called in today so I’m leaving with 0 - nothing to fix my sinus infection. I offered to supply my recent visit for my annual Doctor appt 2 weeks ago and he refused to respond to that as well. HE IS TERRIBLE!! RUDE, disrespectful of MY TIME and money, and useless since he didn’t address any options for treatment. I WANT A REFUND!!

As a former user of the service and now coming back to the app I can better recommend Healthtap based on how I think the information is better tailored to help users with their individual lives and the goals they have. This starts with the app as I think the redesign from previous versions is a step up. Just the change of the logo and application color from red to blue brings a more tranquil experience to the user experience. The app is easy to navigate and searching for what you may want is less cumbersome. It is still easy to post a question for a physician to answer in case that is all you are interested in. For those who want more a big addition is the care guides which are guidelines set by a physician to reach a lifestyle goal whether it is to be healthy, get flat abs, care for your child, etc. The guides are easy to follow allowing users to enroll at the tap of a button. The app still makes it easy to centralize all of your health data but for those like myself who prefer to use another platform for this task, such as Apple Health, That data to can be incorporated.

I love this doctor ! He listens, he cares & he makes sure to prescribe appropriate medicine without interaction. HE DOES NOT JUDGE PREEXISTING conditions! I will not use other apps for drs because this one is so friendly & caring & efficient & again does NOT hold me having lupus against me. Doctors on other apps have discriminated me because of lupus & refused to treat me. If you have an autoimmune issue this is the dr for you when you kno you’ve got a bacterial infection. You will not be punished or made to feel bad for feeling bad. EXCELLENT CARE
First time using it & I am so glad I tried it. I was skeptical at first & afraid it’d be a waste of money, but it IS real y’all. A bit pricey (not going to be a $20 copay like a regular ol doctor visit) but it is SOOO worth it. Literally you can talk to a doctor either through video chat, phone, or text. I’m very anti social lol so I was so glad to just be able to text back and forth right away. No getting dressed, driving to the doctors office, waiting to be seen, etc. it’s literally right on your phone. For mild illnesses where you pretty much know what’s wrong & what you need but can’t get because it’s prescription only, this is great. I already knew what was going on with me & needed diflucan because OTC treatments don’t work for me. Told the doc my symptoms, he asked some questions, etc. and within about 5 minutes he sent a script over for diflucan to the pharmacy that I use & boom I picked it up an hour later. Love it. So much better than waiting a week just to get an appointment for my doctor, dragging myself there when I’m already miserable from whatever I got going on, & then waiting to be seen.

If I could give this app a “zero” star rating, I would! I have worked with three medical/health record apps, and this is the worst electronic medical/health record app so far! The app and the healthtap.com website does not talk to each other. Reporting app issues to healthtap.com is a nightmare. I then looked at where they were based... California!

Don’t bother. Questions don’t get answered. Customer support gives you the run around by saying that they don’t see any unanswered consultations........ can’t wait to see what they say after seeing the screenshot I sent proving they blatantly ignore people. This app needs to be removed.

I was charged $45 and not given any type of service beyond a greeting. I filed a complaint and they refused to refund me. The customer service is poor and the medical treatment is egregious. Do not give this app your credit card info.

Ever since this new update whenever I post a question it’s been answered by the same doctor who is a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist has no business answering an internal medicine question. Please bring back the other variety of doctors.

It’s been about two years now since I have started using HealthTap. I don’t have health insurance and seeing a psychiatrist is so affordable with the app. I mainly use this app for psychiatry and I have yet to find another medical app that’s as affordable. I have also experienced great customer service. I have reached out to them multiple occasions with different issues and it’s always kindly and reasonably solved. I believe HealthTap has two types of subscription. I’m subscribed to one of them. The app isn’t perfect and depending on how you use it, you might not be as satisfied as me. I see it improving over the years though and they have added new features. As of now, I’m definitely going to continue using it. Thanks HealthTap for making healthcare more accessible!
Poor communication with drs 2/5
The theory of this app is great, however it is meant to save you time but in fact the doctors have 48 hours before they have to reply to you. This is not stated anywhere in the app before you pay. So if you need antibiotics for strep throat don’t use this app. In 48 hours you’ll be so sick you’ll have to go to the hospital. So much for convenience. I’ll stick with Doctor on Demand app.

I was able to log in but as soon as my account loaded, the app wouldn’t let me get passed the “are you pregnant” question. Every time I submit my answer it does not load correctly even when I restart the app.

...the Symptom checker part of the app is awful and has been for quite some time. Each time you attempt to add a symptom, the HealthTap symbol circles, as if “working” for 30 secs-several minutes...for EVERY symptom! I got up to 30 symptoms (yes I have that many) and it wouldn’t let me add anymore. (Getting to 30 symptoms took me over 45 MINUTES due to the “working” symbol. THEN I finally just hit the button for “Results”...(there’s that stupid symbol again), but did nothing (asking me to add another symptom...but I couldn’t bc 30 is max. So I tried “Results” again...(WORKING HEALTHTAP SYMBOL)...then back to the “Add a symptom page”. In other words, I wasted an hour of my day today for nothing more than to add to my frustrations, anxiety, irritability, and depression!!! Thanks HealthTap!!!

I just paid $44 for an appointment, the call was “dropped” mid consultation and the number I was given to contact the dr to complete the consult was disconnected! I called customer service and the tech support dept was the only dept available. She said the dr closed the consultation out and I’d have to pay for another consultation. Of course I pitched a fit and she said, well I can issue a refund, but it’ll take 4-5 business days to process. Are you kidding me?!?! I said isn’t there some way you can just give me another consultation? Not unless I pay again! Ok, that’s ridiculous!!! She said she’d try to call the dr but there’s no guarantee they’ll respond to her since it’s a holiday. Well ok, maybe if you can’t promise service on a holiday you shouldn’t offer services on holidays!!! So frustrating. I’m still sick and no meds!

Unless you are looking to subscribe to a doctor access or a simple second opinion it’s a waist of money! This app began as the perfect solution to all the money spent for those of us who will never meet our deductible. Now it’s pointless. I just told a doctor e were unable to be seen by an ophthalmologist for an emergency and needed a diagnosis and medication. She literally said seek medical attention immediately... and that cost me $49!

Amazing that you can get health answers from US doctors for free. And after getting a free answer, you can make a virtual appointment with a specialist, or drop in to a primary care doctor visit without any waiting.

Prescription was out of stock at all pharmacies, since it is an online consult there is no doctor to call to change it to a lower dose to get it now. Called customer support to try to get some help and was told it was not their fault and I would have to pay another fee to get the prescription changed. Which is annoying, but not a huge deal. It was the incredibly rude “helper” on the phone who really set me off. To already be sick and frustrated and then be told to basically go screw myself is a joke. Can’t have sympathetic customer service? Then watch your reviews go right down the toilet.
I was told by the app I could live chat about a current medical issue, waited and no one ever was available. Then it had me submit a form and said someone would message me. Hours later I got a note that someone was ready to chat then, turns out that was also a form, and now it says 24 hours for someone to reply. Meanwhile I was charged $54. Total scam! I have emailed twice about refunds and gotten no where. I am sick and was trying to avoid going to the ER. Do not waste your time or money.

Will charge you for every text even though it says chatting is free and will not necessarily connect you with the right doctor. You may be charged to see a doctor who says they have no authority to help you with your specific request and have to go back to the start and try to be connected with a doctor that can actually help.
