Nearly every time I try to use the app to Reserve a Car I get an error “Unable to Connect to Hertz” - this app is useless. Other apps work, connectivity is fine, there is an issue with the Hertz app. Just a terrible experience to use this app.

Every time I pick a location and submit to book a new rental it will fail telling me to pick a pick-up point. Repeat. and fail again... well either it’s the wrong error message displayed or the app is s***. As it has never been any good, I tend to believe the latter.

I too had the error where my phone number was not entered and essentially had to go through the booking steps again. Not terrible, but could be better.

I find the app not easy to use. Also the website is terrible.
When I went to the website initially it kept taking to a logon for a travel agent. It was not easy to navigate
And having to put a nickname on my review is also stupid

Among major corporations this has to be the worst app that I have used in the service industry. Aside from the most basic reservations it is not a viable way to do business with them. In 2019 this is inexcusable. I’m curious as to how much business they have lost over this issue because besides being my preferred car rental company they have lost mine more then once. Honestly it is just perplexing that it is easier to rent a hertz car from the Expedia, Hotwire, kayak, etc. apps then it is from the hertz app itself. Poor business performance to say the least.
App should be upgraded to facial recognition

Worst App for such Reputed Organization. Neither work properly and nor has many basic functionalities.
Hertz must spend some $$ as this will certainly ruin their future if not fixed immediately.

Very easy to use, convenient, and straight to the point!🌟😁
Easy to use app but you have to enter frequent flyer info every time. Would be nice if info is saved in your profile.
It took over two hours to get the app to reserve a car. The hardest thing to resolve was finding the place to enter the missing phone number or to fix the missing age. It needs some work.

The app wanted my credit card expiration date but only accepted the month, not the year.
Why is airline flight number required? 2/5
I am a pilot of a private aircraft. Why must you always enter an airline flight number when arriving at a rental location that is listed as PRIVATE FLIGHTS ONLY? I am forced to invent a flight number in this situation in order to complete the reservation without error message. Please fix this glitch- it also exist on Hertz website.

Where’s the update for iPhone X(S) screens? Also, when you try to book, select dates then try to select the airport, the text dialogue won’t allow for airport code entry.
Is it possible that this company doesn’t have the ability to load your card into apple wallet? And why can’t they allow us to access our account full details and make updates on mobile devices. Old and antiquated. Their back office doesn’t match their front office...

At this point I’ve had this app for years and it’s never a smith process. It’s not intuitive. Very antiquated and it takes me usually 15-30 mins to complete a reservation. It also never remembers me. And the updates via text are delayed by days sometimes.

I literally have to close the app 4 to 5 times when booking. Also love the error message “No internet connection” when it was clearly the app having trouble. Love Hertz, terrible app
I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app to make it work but then I still get “No internet Connection” error when I have connectivity.

Cannot Reserve - please select an age 1/5
Logged into Gold account, so Hertz knows my birthday. Entered location and date and get message "Please select an age [NRX185]". There is no place to enter an age in the app. Fail.

Every time I use this app I have trouble. Either it won’t take me or let me access to the areas it says needs corrected or the keyboard or scroll is not responsive or accessible. Recently, I had to put my member number and password back in for no reason at all.

Well it works. You can rent a car. But don’t try anything fancy. If you accidentally get locked into the pre-paid prices, forget about using the app to change and similar challenges. Extremely clunky in my opinion.

The app does not have a profile so you can never find your customer number. Many times after updating the app I have to reset the password which is super annoying. Once you are in it is fine. But those glitches alone mean I have used Sixt and National more than once.

It crashes all the time. Keep saying I don’t have internet connection when I do. Have to go in through the website on my mobile all the time.

I live in Austin, TX and I speak English. When I travel the world, I CANNOT understand your app because it’s 100% in the local language. Do you simply assume I speak Chinese as soon as I land in China??? Do you assume I automatically want to see the cost of my rental in the local currency that I have to use a separate app to convert?? I mean, these are epic misses, IMO. Hertz Mobile has a long way to go before it’s respectable. It pains me to say, but even Avis has the language thing figured out. Digital Product VP, time to roll up your sleeves and work with your team to get smart about your app.

Perhaps a focus group to gather feedback on the app? Could use it on my iPhone8+, the options/choices wouldn’t display and it kept telling me to complete a section that I couldn’t get to; it wasn’t displaying on the screen. Worked better with my iPhone6 but still feel it could more streamlined.

It’s a very good looking app but the functionality is no good.
The layout makes sense but the common sense flow could be much better and the app hangs up on simple stuff. Overall “not good” and a bit frustrating.
A tired and embarrassing showing by an international player. Explains why Herts fell to the No. 3 spot in this year’s T+L ranking. Compares unfavorably with all the hotel, airline, and bank apps I use for travel alongside Hertz. Does not calendar my rentals. Does not store rentals in Apple Wallet. No ability to share rental information. No explanation of what Gold Points are or how to redeem them. Cannot see, let alone change, my stored preferences. Now for their lack of soft skills: No warm welcome, no sense of reward or accomplishment on booking, no anticipation buildup, no sexy imagery or even vehicular “eye candy” to inspire me to rent more or better vehicles. This app is just ridiculously bad by every measure. There’s no excuse. Get with it, Hertz. You’re all dinosaurs.

Good app. It’s better than the phone service I have to wait throughout then try to speak into the my iPhone to get my reservation information in. The next reservation will be better than the first one, but it’s good.
