Hopper’s fantastic. I love that it’ll keep watch and notify me when to purchase my flights!! One improvement I would suggest is enabling payment for baggage fees to be included in the booking process for an airline such as Allegiant.

Hopper has no contact number. The only way you can communicate is through a chat in the app which doesn’t reply at all. I’ve spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in my ticket and due to COVID-19 and travel restrictions I had to cancel my flight. I contacted the airlines for refund as there was no way to contact hopper and they confirmed they have full refund policy but since I booked with hopper only hopper can provide me my refund.
I am having really hard time getting my hard earned money to get back from hopper. Please understand you customer’s situation. This is really bad customer experience, I will never use hopper again but first please give my own money back!!! And the worst thing is I have to write a review for asking for refund.

This is my first time making a review because usually I am a pretty easygoing person but Hopper has scammed me and has made this experience HELL. I booked a flight back almost a year ago for a flight in March. Due to COVID, and shelter in place orders, we could not go on the flight as scheduled. However, it was too late to cancel and at that time, Hopper was not offering refunds for cancelling due to COVID. Therefore I could not cancel my flight and had to miss it. In trying to get a refund because now they are refunding for cancelled flights, they tell me they are bound by the airline and can’t do anything. Also, because I did not cancel my flight I cannot get a refund, yet I did not take that flight and couldn’t cancel because Hopper told me basically there was no use as I would not get a refund for cancelling back in March. Yet, I call Interjet who tells me that they are not bounding Hopper to anything, and it is Hopper who must refund me. I even paid for Trip Protection and have gotten $0. I hardly go on trips because of my financial status, and to lose $600 for two tickets I bought is a big financial blow. Ella from Hopper has been ZERO help. If someone from Hopper reads this and can provide me with a refund or travel credit, please do because there is no way to reach out to anyone outside using the chat on the app. I am fed up and will never use this app again. Do not waste your time with this app, it’s not worth it!

Good luck getting any help using a company that has no customer support. I booked a flight that was cancelled due to Covid, the airline refunded my money, but Hopper never delivered that money to me. There’s no customer service line for me to call, I’ve tried refunding the flight through the so six times and it’s never successful.... Hopper stole my money and there’s nothing that I can do about it. Avoid this app at all costs.

Booked through Hopper and ended up having the hotel cancel due to COVID-19. They claimed they would pass the cancellation onto me, they didn’t and it was ridiculous trying to contact them. I ended up filing a visa dispute. Then they ended up fighting the dispute. DO NOT USE HOPPER.

I’ve been trying to contact an agent for the past 3 days and I’ve gotten absolutely nothing. I get an email from hopper saying my flight has changed but doesn’t tell me what changed or anything. So I call American Airlines and they tell me I need to call Alaskan airlines to find the issue. So I call them and they tell me I need to call hopper but the problem is I can’t contact hopper.

I had frozen a price for a flight and when I went to purchase the flight it gave me an error. I automatically contacted support which was very hard to do and confusing. I kept trying until the price freeze expired. I was unable to use the price freeze or book the flight. I still have no been contacted back and this was beginning of June. I will not use this app again.

I’ve lost so much money on this app. There is absolutely no way to talk to a human being. I missed my price freeze by minutes and then it wouldn’t let me change the dates of my flight. I finally called the airline and they told me to cancel my flight, which I did. Then when I booked it again the flights were unavailable!!!

With this whole coronavirus thing happening and with having to cancel my flight back in March, I have been disputing with Spirit airlines and my bank for the past 5 months. There is no customer service with this app and I cannot get in contact with anyone to show that I am the one that bought these tickets for my family... they are not giving me a proper refund (hoppers receipt does not show that I bought the tickets) never use this app this is horrible waiting 3+ hours on hold with the bank and spirit

Booked a hotel June 22nd showed up and the floor boards were coming up holes in the wall and the hotel smelled of weed. I asked for a different room and spoke with the front desk who I asked why the pictures online look nothing like their hotel she said they are remodeling it.. They would need to tear down and rebuild to get it to look like the pictures I seen 😂. Contacted hopper and they said they look into it. It’s been 9 days and I haven’t heard from anyone! Don’t waste ur time!!!!

We purchased trip insurance and our flight was subsequently cancelled. Hopper confirmed they received our request for refund and assured us it was in process. After 3 weeks Hopper ceased all communication, they’ve basically ghosted us. It’s been 80 days and the airline won’t discuss with us because we’ve used Hopper. I will never use Hopper again.

I have been trying to solve my issue since my flight in April. There is no customer service help. They only have automated chat so do not ever expect to speak to any real person phone, email, chat, they do not respond.
I purchased the flight cancellation so that I could cancel without “trouble” as COVID was just starting to cause abrupt in my state. This voucher seems to just be a way to hustle you out of your money. I even tried calling the airline to rebook but they said that it has to be rebooked through hopper.
Save yourself the trouble and book through the airline directly. Hopper isn’t worth your time.
June 2020: received a reply from hopper asking for information on the flight so they could “help” but there is no contact info provided. The “link” to contact then brings you right back to their automated system. Very disappointed. Wish I could give 0 stars

I canceled a booking with hopper 5 minutes after booking. I received an email stating that my ticket was canceled and refunded. It has been almost two months and no refund. I have emailed them through the app as they ask you to do for customer service and have never received a reply.

From reading reviews on this app, it appears customer response is FAR more responsive here than they are in the app. My husband and I had a trip to Australia booked for August. We booked our flights separately but had two hotel reservations booked through Hopper. The flights were cancelled by the airline, so we reached out to the hotels directly about a refund or credit. They told us they were willing to work with us due to the circumstances, despite reserving rooms at a non-refundable rate, but we had to come to an agreement through Hopper. So, we messaged Hopper through the app requesting cancellation of our hotel reservations and also explaining the conversation we had with the hotels. All we got back was an email saying the reservation was canceled and we would get refunds “if applicable,” but in giant red letters underneath saying that our rooms were non-refundable. No other notes or questions. Completely unclear if they reached out to the hotel. All that’s left to me is to leave a message for them on chat and pray that someone actually does their jobs .... Which, after reading all these reviews, I can see they don’t. If you haven’t used this app already, STEER CLEAR!!!!! Save yourself!!!
Trying to cancel flight, no response 1/5
I purchased the cancellation insurance and have been trying to cancel my trip for 2 months. It keeps saying someone will contact me but no one has. Tried using the chat option in their app today and my question just sits there with no response, 1 hour and counting. No message saying there’s a wait time or anything, just unanswered.

It has been over 90 days and I have yet to receive a refund! Unfortunately my CC company said I had to wait for Hopper’s 90 day grace period, which passed on 6/16/20. It is now 6/27/20 and I haven’t heard from Hopper! I’ve tried to escalate it as much as I can with my CC company, but no luck!

I have been requesting a change of my flight over 2 weeks and still got no response. There’s no email address to contact customer service or even a phone number. Being unable to change my flight immediately will cause me lots of problems, rippling effects depending on this flight. I’ve been using Hopper ever since before theyre doing the official app this is gonna be probably my last.
Beware of purchasing from this travel agency. I spent extra to ensure that my flight would be refundable and they did not honor that for me nor did they respond to multiple texts and emails over months (pre covid) They will always pass responsibility to the airline and the airline will send it right back. Also my seats were always in the back and I could not make changes to my reservation each time I asked the airlines they said “if you had booked it with us it would have been different” never again will I use this app to buy a ticket but maybe to track the price then just go the airline directly.

I love the concept of this app. Unfortunately, every time I try to create a log in to actually book a flight, the app does not have a next or done button. It lets me type in my name, number, and email but after that there’s no option but back. Which then closes out my sign in attempt. I hope this is fixable because I would love to use this app.

I had to cancel a flight in March due to Covid and I’ve been trying to reach customer service for 11 days to reschedule and use my refund and I’m getting absolutely no response! $440 that I wanna use for a flight in 3 weeks that I now can’t use because prices are going up and I need to book! Don’t use this app if you want any kind of customer service ever! Mind you when I cancelled my flight, I got no one either! I had to do it through a chat which took me 6 days to do and had to go directly to the airline and they contacted hopper.

I purchased a ticket for my daughter and due to the Covid 19 pandemic obviously the ticket has being canceled.
I try to rebook with the Turkish online and every time I book Hopper is not accepting so the Turkish online had to cancel the flight.
I contacted hopper and no response by their side.
This is the first and the last time that I will book through this app and I don’t advice anyone to book since it kind of impossible to get in hold with an Agent.
If someone from Hopper is reading this try to solve this problem please if you care.

I understand that the travel world has been turned on its head due to COVID, but I have had to wait 76 days for a refund on my flights that were cancelled and when I finally got confirmation of anything from Hopper it was to say that I was getting a travel credit, even though the airline’s policy was to issue full refunds. No way for me to contact customer service, no phone number listed anywhere. Do not waste your time with this app, whatever money they can save you on a flight is not worth the headache you’ll get from trying to work with this company.

I have been using this app for over a year. The app is fabulous unless there’s a problem. We had a death in the family last year and it took FOREVER to figure out even HOW to contact a person! Then, they said they would refund my ticket because I had to change flights due to this issue but they never refunded my money or provided me with the free ticket they said they would provide. So, as long as you know FOR SURE that there will be no issues....this is a great app. But if you have any problems what-so-ever... your pretty much out of luck!!

When scheduling my trip, I was very pleased with Hopper as it was easy to navigate and the notifications on flight prices was very convenient. Yet, I found out the day before my flight that the outbound trip was CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY NOTICE FROM HOPPER. Thereby giving me no time to plan my trip, no notice of a refund, and worst of all...IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Will never use again.

I have picked a freight on hopper and purchased a price freeze. When things were settled and I booked the flight within the price freeze period I received no refund. I am trying to find any contact number or email for their customer service e we other no success. Deceptive “refundable ticket” policy 1/5
I purchased two tickets with peace of mind due to Hopper’s refundable ticket policy. However, when I tried to cancel, I was informed that the refundable ticket policy I paid for was not valid because airlines were offering free cancellations. But the cancellation the airline offers is a travel voucher. Not a refund. I tried to contact Hopper with no success. They don’t answer the chat on the app. I got one email stating that it will take three months for my cancellation resolution. Not acceptable.
Also, airlines were offering the free cancellation option when I purchased the refundable ticket policy. So that even offering it was a scam. They knew that the airline policy would take precedence but allowed me to purchase the refundable ticket policy anyway. Total scam.
Flights changed without notice 2/5
I purchased flights for my daughter and son-in-law to travel from Washington State. While we got a good price on the tickets, I will never use this service again. Is it called Hopper because they make you hop at the airport? Without any kind of communication, their connecting flight was changed from a three-hour layover to a one-hour. They almost missed it. Their return flight was changed from 4:00 p.m. to 2:35 p.m. with no warning. The app still had the 4:00 p.m. flight, at check-in the day before the flight was still 4:00 p.m., but a few hours before the flight they noticed the status had changed. This may have been the airline, but somehow purchasing through this app caused a lapse in communication. No one received any notice of the flight changes.
