Difficult/impossible to communicate w hotel through this app. Only my first (booking) communication is listed- hotel‘s response is email, my 2nd communication with the hotel -through this app!!!- is nowhere to be found!

Do NOT book through this app! It will not let you change or cancel your reservations with charging you an outrageous fee!! My conference got changed to a different weekend, I tried to cancel and they were going to charge me $500! I then tried to change they still wanted to charge me $500! When I called the hotel they said they couldn’t do anything because I had booked through a third party and they couldn’t even find my reservation to begin with! This is absurd and complete robbery!! VERY dissatisfied.

I booked a hotel that Hotels.com app said was pet friendly. When checking in I was assessed a $50 cleaning fee for pets. There was no mention in the app anywhere of an additional fee. I’ve been using this app for about seven years and never had this issue.

I just simply wanted a refund for a stay that I was dissatisfied with, after being in the room 5mins I left. But hotels.com after being on the phone with them for 45mins, just hung up on me. Never using this app and I will have to go thru my bank for my refund

Every time I collect a stamp hotels.com removes the stamp months later. Reward program is a joke. Tried contacting customer support three times to resolve issue and kept getting rerouted with no help or answers.

I recently booked a trip to Chicago and I received my booking confirmation number but it doesn’t show up in my account for upcoming trips and when I search for it and enter the itinerary number it cannot find the trip. The only way to communicate appears to be through a virtual assistant in a chat box. All I’m getting is automated responses saying I have no upcoming trips. I have two, one in October and one in July. The October booking is in my account.
The second issue is that I have apparently earned a free hotel night valued at approx $160 but it must be used in 3 weeks. This was the first time I received notice that I had a free night. Trying to follow this in my account has proven to be quite challenging so I did not realize I had this free night which I could have used. I tried to get information but am not getting any response from the virtual assistant. I’m going to cancel my account with Hotels.com and try another booking company.

On the surface it’s an easy reward system for frequent travelers. When I got close to my required stays, my nights stopped getting collected. I tried to trouble shoot on my own. Yes I was signed in at booking and yes my hotels counted towards nights. I tried contacting customer service through multiple avenues without success. The customer service number connected to a location in the Bahamas that no one answered. I received responses from social media assuring I would be contacted. Still no contact. I had all my stays for a free stay with an average price of $275 a night…but not according to the app.

I have been using this app for years and yesterday nightmare experience was an eye opener that this company needs to do it’s due diligence in confirming what pictures are send by the hotel that they’re up to date because the hotel we had reservations for yesterday was nothing like advertised it was a literal dump crack and roach infested hotel saying it was disgusting it being to nice we are out $85 for the night had to drive 1 hour more to find a decent hotel to rest on our 18 hr trip back home I’ve ask for refund and hotel refused and I contacted hotel.com neither could reach the manager of course not after doing a late research I saw the real reviews on google whom I’d trust for now on some reviews on this app don’t tell the truth or are monitored to only put the decent ones.

This is the most dirty, broken and unsafe place to anyone stay. The walls are dirty have foot print, have holes on the wall. One of the doors are broken and both doors are dirt if hand and foot prints. The bathroom had hair the bad smells. The TV remote control was broken. When I complain to the front desk they send a gentleman to make a spacious the room and he told me was not so bad. But if you don’t feel safe to stay in the Hotel if your kids it’s okay. In the end they charmed $100,00 . I don’t know why. I never going to used this again for book anything anymore. And I going to tell all my friends and family about that.
Do if you plan to travel do not used this app specially this Hotel Clarion in Kissimmee. It’s super bad.

To the app redesign decision maker(s)… launching a new app logo that is so generic, 2005 is calling and you answered the call? Free consultation… rollback your app to the version with greatest app review rate/user. BUILD from there with user feedback.
To the app redesign leader… this is a legal money heist with a
[email protected]% app update. Look at the newest reviews! New update has screen dark mode and then I click on the reserve button and then day mode loads? Who approves a launch an app with inconsistencies? Just because you have an app, it doesn’t mean it has to be regularly updated especially with major changes!
Learn this lesson… Allrecipes app screwed their business with unnecessary app updates making user experience worse after each app update until users said enough; Hotels.com app/business is heading that direction.
FYI, I am using my free reward nights and will use more user friendly apps until this
[email protected]% is fixed. And, this is my first app review; it has value if you value it.
Open your eyes and swallow your pride. Side note… I can’t believe I am trying to make your company better without compensation, when high paid positions make poor decisions.

For the last month the app is been darn near impossible to use.
I can see the upgrades I get the updates over and over and it really works.
I've been using this app for well over a decade and I've never had this level of problems.
I hope they upgraded so it works very soon.

Frequently asked to log in after I’m logged in and click on a link. Graphics are olde and text heavy. Not easy to see what’s a link and what’s just text. Blow it up and start from scratch
