    I booked a hotel for an upcoming weekend and used the book now pay later option (the only good thing about Expedia). I ended up cancelling my plans therefore needed to cancel the hotel. I was not to be charged ANY fees if I cancelled by the 15th, which I did cancel my reservations by the 10th through the app. I received my cancellation email, and even refreshed my trips screen and the hotel was no longer listed. I then looked at my bank account the weekend I would’ve been staying and the hotel charged me for the weekend stay (showed up as pending charges). I called Expedia who put me on hold as the CS Rep stated he was going to call the hotel. He came back on the line not even 20 seconds later and said never mind, that I actually needed to call my bank to have the charges removed. His reason for the hotel charging me was that the hotel needed to see if I had the funds to stay, which I stated they never should’ve needed to see that because I CANCELLED the stay. I told him he was wrong and that this has nothing to do with my bank, it wasn’t my bank charging me, it was Expedia and the hotel but the CS Rep insisted I call my bank. I called my bank who stated that Expedia was incorrect in telling me that (figured that) but they would refund me the pending charges for the time being, but if the hotel charge went through I’d have to call back and file a fraud complaint. I then decided to also call the hotel, and they researched further and stated that while I cancelled through Expedia, Expedia did not communicate that to the hotel. Thankfully they are refunding my money, but the wasted time I spent on this issue is ridiculous. Expedia should’ve communicated with the hotel on the 10th when I actually cancelled. Since they didn’t, Expedia then should’ve contacted the hotel for me to straighten everything out since that’s who I booked through. The CS reps alsoneed more training as I was receiving an INCORRECT scripted response over and over from the guy I spoke with. If I didn’t call the hotel myself, I would still be dealing with this as the hotel didn’t know I cancelled. Very disappointed with Expedia.

    I recently traveled to Mexico and rented 2 minivans through Expedia, I was told that liability insurance was included with my rental, but when I got to rental agency it was a completely different story I had to pay an extra $400 for each vehicle just for liability insurance $800 that was not on my expenses plan, never again Expedía!!

    Was very easy to book hotel. Only problem was trying to add to my wallet, it offered to do so , but an error ensued, I suppose it makes no sense to put a hotel reservation in apple wallet

    I cannot log into the app. It keeps saying “oops something is wrong”. Furthermore, when I booked my trip I accidentally pressed the best price match button and Expedia will not refund me my $24. Very unfortunate that they are willing to lose a good customer over $24. I will NEVER use Expedia again.

    The mindless (being nice) design of the “Shared Trip” feature has completely failed. “This trip does not exist”. Yea? Really? Well my family is aboard a flight right now and I have no idea where/when to pick them up. I have a 3 year old for pete’s sake. Please get out of our lives.

    If I could give a negative I would. Was so excited about my reservation that I booked for the summer and even more excited that i could pay once I arrived at hotel. Too good to be true right? Right! Wouldn’t ya know i was charged half the price of my cost without my knowledge which charged me to go negative in my account! Do not use this app!

    The last time I used he Expedia app I booked a hotel and we showed up and they told us they didn’t have any rooms available and that I shouldn’t of been able to book that room on there app. I then used the app again to get another room when we got to that hotel our reservation never popped up on their computers. They ended up being really nice and letting us have a room anyways. But I ended up having to pay for those first two rooms that I booked in the app even though I never got the rooms.

    Service was horrible I am us citizen. But people ist pick up we’re foreign speaking individuals that u could not understand and they got angry they had to stop and start over on reserving process 3 times and then had to get someone to help I was there over an hour in line just to pick up a car. I was told which vehicle I would get but got another. Reckon I’m lucky I got one at all Poor poor service. With multi language barriers. Try getting some Americans to work for u or at least people that can speak and understand our language

    Just lost all of my history and points earned while being “assisted” by phone, when all I needed was assistance with my password. Then after the last person destroyed my historical data, I was transferred to someone who was supposed to help me with the password setup, and she had no suggestion other than to enter my email and wait for the return message to reset my password, as if I would haven’t already tried that standard procedure! Very, very frustrated as have used this entity for 15 years+!!

    App is difficult to negotiate. There is no customer service. I have been trying to enter a claim for airline cancellation and there is no answer to my emails and no number for claims. I had a similar problem last year after booking directly with airline and claim was attended to and paid quickly. Travel insurance was also less expensive.

    I have used Expedia to book before. Had no problem, so I booked last month and was suppose to receive double points since I used the app to book like advertised. To my surprise I open the app and only received just the normal amount. Why advertise for double points, and even have my double points pending if you’re not going to give them to your consumers. I should’ve screenshot my points pending.

    I have been an Expedia member for years now and haven’t had problems until 2017. I always book through the app since they tease with double rewards. The prices are sometimes better on the app compared to Expedia.com site as well, which I think is a bad customer experience. I work in the Ecommerce industry so I have a good understanding of how this works and the business reasons behind promotions and marketing. For almost a year now, I haven’t been able to complete my transaction on the app in all my iOS devices. Everything is fine until I go to pay and the transaction does not go through. I know it’s not my credit card because the card works when I’m on Expedia.com. I had to call Expedia each time because of this problem and have wasted many hours trying to troubleshoot. The last time, several months ago, I had to book it on the site and the customer support adjusted the points for me. However, when I called Expedia today (May 13, 2018), they said they couldn’t help me adjust the points on my account. They all sounded like non-native speakers so I guess Expedia outsourced booking and customer service to another country as well. They had no idea how to help and could not give me tech support. I asked several times to speak to a tech support agent and they said they don’t have such team and kept repeating they can help me book over the phone (which would not credit me the “points”). Finally, the “customer support” agent said they are rebuilding the Expedia app and it’s taking longer than expected so they can’t apply the points but will provide me a small credit for my bad experience. ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM? If the app is faulty, why is it still on the App Store??

    Zero stars !!!. I booked a flight for April 10, 2018 from Tampa, Florida to Newark. When we got to the airport we found out Expedia had booked it for July 10, 2018. We called Expedia and they said they couldn’t do anything and that it was our problem. We had to ask the United people if we could change our flight date and she said that all the flights that day were sold out and they won’t help us , I had to ask to speak with the United flights supervisor after pleading for help, she could help us book a flight for the next day but we had to buy new tickets. Because of this I almost lost my job and my kids missed an important test that day. Once we got to Newark I made a dispute and they said they would resolve my issue in 2 weeks. I called in 2 weeks and was told that we would not get a refund and that it was not Expedia’s fault for changing the date on our flight.

    I used to use Expedia for all my trip booking from hotels, rental cars, and flights. But this last time I booked a hotel somehow it got mixed up and I ended up getting one that was 20 min from the one I was wanting to book. When I called in, to tell them this mistake, they said I would still be charged a night which was 150$!! I do not want to have to drive 40 min to get to the place where I’m on business at. I hated that I had to drive 20 min from the closer place already! I am so angry with the customer service of Hampton Inn and the accessibility to service on Expedia.

    This duplicitous company will sell you services that are not acknowledged by the airlines, car rentals and hotels that you can book with through Expedia. You will pay Expedia for a service that you expect from your hotel, airline or car rental, and you're just flushing that money down the toilet, because you won't get what you thought you were getting, and you will not see that money again. You can do nothing. Basically, you just pay Expedia for additional services like flight insurance, for example, but it isn’t recognized by your airline. You just gave more money to Expedia for nothing. Do yourself a favor and avoid these people, use another service or go straight to the airlines themselves, if you must fly. Their customer service people are rude, and they speak very poor English. Attempts to straighten out issues are met with a terrible language barrier, and a complete lack of understanding, or anything that resembles customer service. They literally don't care about the services they offer, and that is reflected in their cold, uncaring attitude. Why in the world would anyone subscribe to a service just to be treated badly? There is no reason. I'm driving from now on.

    When you search for a hotel in an area it will start with what is around you and include everything that’s fully booked. Not a bad thing but mildly irritating when you are looking for a place that’s open. If you use the map feature to “quickly” look around the area you will have to keep re-loading the map feature for it to “look” instead of loading as you scroll around the map.

    Time and again when searching for flights on Expedia the price goes while I am inputting my information. Then I have to go directly to the airlines own site to buy he same ticket at the original price. It seems like Expedia has some kind of scam going on.

    One star is a lot for this company they don't deserve any star, and you will know why! 😤😠😡🤬🤯😳😱😨😰😥😓👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 We made reservations with Expedia while in the US to visit Canada. We were supposed to stay at Motel 6 and we informed Expedia that we had a dog. We drove from Pa to Ontario, arrived at Motel 6 and we were turned away because Expedia failed to mention the dog. Motel 6 is pet friendly but had no rooms according to the clerk. We spent the next 4 hours searching for a room and went to the Ramada hotel which was much more expensive. Contacted Expedia once again and they refunded the cost of the room at Motel 6 but we want them to further compensate us. They were asked to pay for our stay at the Ramada and refused. Our vacation was nearly destroyed all because someone from Expedia failed to mention that we had a dog. We had a lot of trouble with the internet and using our phones was very aggravating. Someone from Expedia actually had the nerve to hang up on us while we were scrambling to find a room.

    I was trying to book a hotel for one night when my flight arrives in Toronto. I was in the list of hotels checking out a few, had my filter set the way I wanted it...accidentally hit the x to close. Could not get back to that list format again. Tried several times. Instead had a list with photos and not much info.

    Extremely convenient app! I love how I can save my searches as well so that I don’t lose my future trip planning. Booking is simple, and I love the point system and member discounts. Customer service is very friendly and all contacts are right on the app— including hotel contacts, which is very organized. It’s also convenient that I can book my room ahead of time without having to pay on the spot. I can easily set the funds aside in savings for when I arrive at my hotel. I’m definitely using this for all future trips. I’m very impressed with Expedia, and highly recommend them to everyone.

    Worst customer service and experience. I had reserved an all inclusive trip to Mexico but call to cancel within the 24 hours period. Expedia issued incorrect amount and if I had not noticed on my credit card statement I would have never been refunded. It took 45minutes with their customer service to succesfully submit refund. This was Expedia’s mistake, but they are not accountable and as always it is the customer who pay. This is a huge trust breaker.
