    Hey I purchase the original black box hum when it came out. I was traveling off the RFK bridge in Harlem near motor vehicle on 125 street. Nypd stopped me traveling south on 2nd Avenue. I told the officer why you stopped me . He said I saw you talking on your phone. I told him I have an hands free device. I said call your supervisor. He said license and registration. I gave it to him. Gave me a ticket. Went to court back in November 2018! Judge looked at the receipt when I purchased the item. Brought in the items from hum. Brought in pictures how it’s mounted to my vehicle. I beat the cops nypd At they nonsense so thank you hum for being creativity for what you done to avoid accidentally car accidents and tickets. Y’all must advertise more. That should be the scenario beating a ticket! Rate y’all an easy 10!

    When I had a 0420 code pop up on my auto health section I took my car to the dealership and had my Catalytic converter replaced. Now I have driven 2600 miles and I still show I have a 0420 code. I have called hum customer service on multiple times and let it ring for about 10 minutes and no one answers the phone to help.

    This has to be the worst product that anyone has ever sold. I’ve had 5 replacements and it still doesn’t work. Does not locate my car and the WiFi has only worked 1 time in a year across all 5 devices. Any review that is positive is a fake paid for review from Verizon trying to up talk the device so they can sell them.

    This product was working fine the first month but then just stopped communicating from the vehicle. After attempting to reset the device by removing and replugging in AND opening a ticket with support it has been 5 days now and I still do not have a working device. Since no one can seem to solve this problem I will be looking at returning and removing this device from my account. It’s unfortunate since when it worked it worked well. When it stops working, no one takes ownership of support to get it functioning again.

    I went to Verizon to get Hum because my hubby has a “condition” and drives an older car. I love everything about Hum and I know it will help if ever a medical emergency happens. I tell other senior citizens about it all the time!!

    Hum Account Name is your Verizon plan primary owner even if your a paying customer on that account and customer service says they can’t do anything about it. The safety score is a great idea though it’s not smart enough to recognize when your not even in the same vehicle where the hum is installed. Had my score go down tremendously from riding as a passenger in a friend’s car for phone usage.

    I work for Verizon so full disclosure there. I have the Hum+ and HumX. They work flawlessly! The WiFi for the HumX is as fast as a dedicated hotspot. The product honestly pays for itself if you use the discounts offered through the app. Hope you all enjoy!

    My Hum worked for the first day or so. It now is no longer working and is just beeping at me. I called the customer service line, they were not much help and told me I would get a call back by their technical support team so we can “troubleshoot”. No clue when to expect that call. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone.

    My husband put the Hum in my car due to my travel locations. Worst gift ever. Well, my car was hit by a rocket disguised as a deer. Both side airbags deployed and it now takes an act of Congress to open and close my driver side door. All I had to do was press the button on my Hum and I was connected with emergency help. They knew exactly where I was located, as did my husband, and in short order everything was under control. Best gift ever.

    This app, or perhaps the Hum device, is near worthless as far as accuracy. Accident response requires accurate information as far as location. That doesn’t give me confidence! Additionally, how can I drive 121 miles and not use any fuel? I definitely do not have an alternatively powered vehicle. Back to location, my vehicle location does not jive with position shown in the location sharing section. I mean it is way off! I can’t believe I let Verizon lock me into a two year contract on this near worthless system. Beware! **This is a real review from someone who actually purchased and uses the system and app.”***

    Perfect device for tracking my 19 year-old. Aside from occasional buffering, the device is very close in providing real-time location of the vehicle. I recommend it for all parents of drivers to under 21 years of age.

    We have two units. Both stopped working fairly quickly after purchasing them. One was replaced a couple weeks ago and worked for awhile but then stopped working again. Thankfully these save us on our phone bill so at least there’s some benefit even if they are completely useless for what they’re intended for.

    I've been a Verizon HUMx user for the past few months, and my experience with the device has been great. However, my review of the application has some suggestions and feature requests which I believe would add to the value of HUM. First, I think the navigation portion of the HUM app needs to be seriously reviewed. It has a tendency to crash and close on me when I am using it for directions, which means it needs some serious redesign or it needs to be removed and redirected to either Google or Apple Maps. Second, the Safety Score seems to be especially sensitive to sharp cornering and hard braking. I think the parameters by which the application judges those instances should be adjusted to be a little more realistic. Lastly, HUM should automatically detect when I am a passenger or when I am driving by just determining whether my car is on or off. It's a bit annoying that I need to tell HUM when I am driving and when I am not. Overall, my experience with the device and application has been great but Verizon has the potential to make it better.

    This app is not working!! It still shows Trax parked at wrong address and last fueling in March 3018!! The replaced devise has started beeping every 5 minutes just like it did last Fall!! It took over two months to get any response from HUM or Verizon and get a replacement devise. I’m just about ready to cancel everything and demand refund.

    My Tahoe battery went dead on me the other day parked in my driveway. I did receive a text warning me about the battery has dropped below 11.8v and may not start. I don't drive a whole lot, I am a disabled vet so I am home alot or out on 1 of my spyders. The warning was given real early in the morning and I must have missed it some how. I guess what I am trying to say is that it needs to be a little bit more texting customers every 4 hours or something until problem solved. I have a special setup seat for my 2001 Tahoe that turns out and down so I can transfer from my wheelchair. With out power I am stuck in and out. I bet there is a setting for something, there always is. I am purchasing a portable power pack so I can get a jump if needed, not a bad idea for anyone if you think about it. I like the fact that you can check out the condition of your truck just by using my iPhone. I think that's a step forward for the disabled bigtime and I can think of a couple of others items that could be useful in an emergency or just some help. It's a good start as far as I can see. The Wi-Fi version sounds interesting to but I don't spend much time in my Tahoe as I once did. To me it's like I having someone else watching my back and or truck makes me feel safer with the Hum+. Finding your truck in a huge parking lot is a snap. I look forward to seeing it evolve into a huge personal vehicle electronic device. There's a lot of information about your vehicle at your fingertips and what app actually grades your driving skills, it is pretty cool idea. Try it out for what it does for you, it's worth it.

    The customer service for Hum is worse than 1 star !! I have been trying for approx 1 hour to ask a question. The only way to even get a human to answer is by saying you want to order a Hum. Shame on Verizon for peddling this item with absolutely NO customer service 👎🏻👎🏻. If you’re even thinking of ordering one DON’T

    I’ve spent 3 hours with Verizon Tier 2 Tech Support and HUM on the phone trying to link my HUM to my phone (which is done) and still have no toggle button to turn Numbershare on/off in my HUM app. No one seems to be able to fix. HUM server keeps saying it’s down. Cant enter VIN on HUM.com, HUM tech support can’t seem to figure out. Had a previous HUM (original model) and worked fine. Now all I am doing is wasting time because my HUM is still not doing everything it says it can do. Neither tech support can fix. Such a waste of money and time.

    The Hum was something we never really used, got it from Verizon due to a promotional offer and it was just 10. a month so figured why not. That was until 1 day our vehicle was taken into a service center, for tires & an oil change, which they took on a very fast joy ride, while sitting in their waiting area, got a call from a family member asking why the car was being driven at high rates of speed very reckless on an icy snow covered road. So pulled up the Hum App to see it was being driven 80 mph. Long story short we confronted them and reported them for recklessly driving our vehicle. Without the Hum we’d have never known. Always nice to have a set of eyes looking out for a vehicle because it does happen more then most even realize.

    I really, really like this app. I use it to track arrival and departure time for various jobs and to capture addresses for contacts. I wish I could keep two weeks’ of data in it, but I’ll cope without it. But the device? Despite a million assurances at the Verizon store, it has yet to record any diagnostic data from my (older) car. I need to call customer support about it, but haven’t been able to at a time during daylight when it isn’t too cold or wet outside to go out and unplug/replug/etc since it’s at a very awkward angle in my cart that basically requires me to almost lay on the ground to insert it. And although when I bought the device it was $15, the restocking fee would be about $200. The first one I had was declared to be broken, but the second is doing the same thing. It doesn’t even update the official location of my car. Very disappointed in the device. Need to call CS this weekend for sure b/c have appointment at mechanic at dealership on Monday and maybe there’s something they can do to help.

    Great features... if they actually worked. Only feature that somewhat works is the gps which isn’t even accurate, it gives me a general location of the vehicle. All the other feature do not update you enough on the status of your car. It is still showing how much gas is in it from Jan 26. In all it is really just a gimmick.

    If you have Apple devices and share a plan with your family, find my iPhone works a million times better than Hum. Hum is ALWAYS lagging behind in locating a vehicle and almost always freezes before the vehicles arrives at is destination.
