Awful app 1/5
Trying to use the app this morning from my iPad and I cannot get to anything. If a large company like IHG is going to offer an app, then they should at least put the time into it to make it useable.

We love IHG!! It makes things so easy to have all your travel information in your phone or tablet. We go on and make our reservations, we get a email with the confirmation number and all the info is on my account on the sight, and that’s it, we are set to go. If by some chance we need to modify our stay, no problem I can do that on here without calling in. I really love the past stay section. I can go back to find a hotel we stayed at so I can book it again when in that area.
Most of time app won’t work for iPad 1/5
I use the app to book most of my leisure travel. It always works with iPhone. Almost never functions with iPad. I can’t login to account or search for hotels. Need a bug fix.

Great app but it has some issues. Every time I go to the app even though I have my remember sign on in enabled, I still have to sign on every single time. Also my canceled reservations still show as active reservations when you go onto the app. And then other times there is just an error in the in the app will just not work. The app still does all the normal functions as far as for booking a reservation and shows Great hotel options but it has a lot of glitches that just really make it inconvenient. If you have thousands of members who are loyal to you I think you should work a little bit harder to make sure that everything is easy and accessible.
Booked hotel on line pick hotel because had good reviews and said it had a hot tub got there the took the hot tub out and didn’t up date the website everything else was ok room didn’t have any charging ports and plugs were in bad spots

This app has upgraded several times , but it still cannot open. If I log in to my account, the app will suddenly quit bak to desktop.

Went to the local hotel website and made a reservation for myself just to get away. Credit card was charged the next morning which was cool that meant everything was ready. I get there and the desk clerk states oh we won’t be able to rent you a room because you don’t stay 59 miles or more from here. I have no problem with that but it needs to be stated on the website. So when I asked for my money to be returned to my card they say oh that may take up to 10 business days. Uh no it didn’t take y’all 10 business hours to take it. Thanks to my card services and many many calls to this company I was able to get my money back next day.

I purchased a trip through JetBlue getaways that included a flight form NYC to New Orleans 3/8-/11/19. The hotel included was the Indigo in the Garden District. It was a very well deserved girls trip. We were celebrating a birthday during Mardi Gras week. At check in they requested ID and a credit card for incidentals. They hold on the card was supposed to be $50. They next day I checked my bank account and noticed the hold was $500.49. I immediately notified the front desk and they were very apologetic and assured me it would be released in it’s entirety at check out if nothing was charged to the room. I did not charge anything to my room and confirmed that at check out that I did not owe the hotel any money and again my $500.49 hold would be released in 5-7 days. I checked my account 3/12/19 the very next day of checking out and discovered the hotel charged my account $450.49. I tried calling the hotel directly but no one answered the phone. I called several times and stayed in hold for an extended period of time. I called their toll free number which was their guess services and I spoke to 2 guess service managers Sam and David. They were both very apologetic but didn’t act as if this error was urgent which gave me the impression that this was not the first time. I was assured it would be investigated and they would get back to me. I am not totally convinced one because they had no idea what the charge was for and they told me they couldn’t reverse the charges themselves. It almost appeared as if they could not see anything in their system other than I was charged and I actually stayed at the hotel. This is a lesson learned for me to always have a prepaid credit card with just enough required for the minimum hold for incidentals. I don’t feel as customer service is a priority to this staff so I will be sure to remember this in my next search for hotels. Also as a side bar I was with 5 other people that are just as unhappy about this incident and will make sure to be mindful in their future searches for hotels. We travel a lot for pleasure and business so this might be a bigger mistake than the hotel realizes.

Now just “spins, spins, and spins” after multiple attempts to use App with cellular connection (no WiFi). Useless.... Come on IHG, please fix asap as there are numerous folks indicating serious problems.

Glitches Galore 2/5
This app is extremely glitchy. Today, I was looking around and trying to get to the Rewards Catalog. I was able to find it then left the app to answer a text. When I went back in, it took me several minutes to find my way back to it. Every time I click on rewards catalog, the app flashes between several screens that I didn’t navigate to. It has a mind of it’s own.
In February, I was looking at prices on hotel rooms when all of a sudden, it was booked without me clicking on anything. I kept the reservation because the room was at a good price and I would get reward points but it’s pretty frustrating when the app doesn’t work smoothly.

Last week, it took me hours to make reservation. I started with App, then finished on the phone. Same thing this week.
App has lots of problems. The biggest one is credit card processing. I enter card. Then has error code. I try again. It has a box that pops up that symbols and dashes aren’t allowed even though there aren’t any.
Then I call reservations and they have trouble hearing me. “Saying if you can hear me, our phone system is having problems “

I was excited to see that I had the option to add my reservation to Apple Wallet. However the button doesn’t actually do anything. If this feature is fixed it would be 5 stars.

Unless you are connected to WiFi this app will not work. I have tried multiple times all over the US and just get the error “you are offline”. Too bad as your competitors do not have this restriction and thus receive my $$’s for a room.

The app made it quick and easy to find. and book rooms at better rates than could be obtained standing at the front desk of the hotel.
For the past two months the app has not worked. I simply cannot login despite using what I know are correct credentials (they work on the website).

We had an emergency in our home and needed to stay in a safe and convenient place while the emergency situation was addressed. The Holiday Inn was our first choice. The staff was empathetic, professional and accommodating. The restaurant and room service was very very good and delicious!! We Loved the salmon, the made to order burgers and the quesadillas!
Housekeeping was especially accommodating and efficient!! THANK YOU for taking such good care if us !!

Used to be in Account Activity you could tap on your rewarded points and see detail about which stay the points were from. Now you can no longer do this.
It’s a regular thing to not be awarded points properly and this change makes it all that much harder to figure out exactly which stay hasn’t been posted.

IHG has become a huge disappointment and this coming from a Spire member who has invested a considerable amount of time with them. I’ve been trying to track down the status of my Reward Nights Faster, but that’s virtually impossible apparently. I don’t know why IHG has to make it such a secret to find. Secondly as a Spire member you’d think that my stay preferences would be at least somewhat honored, but nope I’m usually on a lower floor and close to the elevator... exactly the opposite of what I prefer. Thirdly when I do stay at a Hilton or Marriott I get a room that matches my preference and almost always upgraded with just basic status. Lastly it’s really nice that Hilton lets you pick the room location of your choice within the category you booked. This is amazing and makes you feel like you’re preferences are valued and they want to empower you to have options. It’s been a enjoyable 12yr run with IHG, but I see my time coming to am end with them over simple oversights constantly by IHG.
Virtual Card is gone from app 3/5
This app had the virtual card and now on iPhone it is only in wallet and not on iPad at all. I don’t want it in wallet. I want it in app. Please fix. I tried the support link and there is no where to leave feedback but it explains the app and shows the virtual card.
The app is super convenient and I love how easy it is to book a room. But the rooms are a little pricey. First, the points system is dumb. The points take a lot to earn and then they don’t get you much. Same thing with the Gold Elite junk. Doesn’t get you much. But my biggest complaint, I’ve found that I can save a few bucks by getting the room through Expedia, Orbitz, or anyone besides IHG even with the “member discount”. It’s not a discount, it’s an up-charge.
No email Confirmation 2/5
Called HIG directly, No rooms at Holliday Inn Resort Panama City Beach. I call front desk at Resort-had rooms for the week. HIG called Resort and booked me with two confirmation numbers. 30 days later no email confirmation. I called Resort & the confirmation numbers were under a different name.. I then had the Resort book me with my HIG member #. This is twice in one year. Never had a problem in 10 yrs. HIG & the Hotels must get their computers linked correctly.

Even when they send updates, the app still doesn’t work. No wonder these companies are losing money. Just trying to make a simple reservation and it gets stuck every time after I submit what dates I’m looking for.

I attempted to book a room. What it said was 15000 points and 99 so I have 15700 points and it would not work. Disappointed!! I am wondering if I should continue to use this program.
