Freezes whenever I attempt to initiate any kind of function whatsoever. Have tried to open up my account, reservations etc and now having to just use the regular website.

Does everything I want and very stable but can be a bit confusing when trying to find out info on your booking or you offers ( always tells me I don’t have any offers and then 10 seconds later they appear). Also keeps asks if I want to have English as my default every time I use it. Come on guys that’s what cookies are for. Overall I love the app but as in any relationship there are always a few annoying things that drive you mad. That’s life hey!! 🤣

This app is completely unreliable and buggy to the extreme. Today when I tried to use it for on my phone it would not let me search. Then when I tried to use the ihg web site it would let me search but not log in to make a reservation. I have been (trying) to use this app for many years but I have had no end of troubles with it. I like IHG hotels but this app is just terrible.

This is the worst app for hotels. It auto signs you out then cannot use your pin to sign back in. Have the finger auto print to sign in and that does not work. Click retrieve pin and and just repopulates to the sign in screen. Absolutely the worst hotel app!

Annoying Promotional Notifications Break App Store Rules 2/5
The app is mostly fine. It does what it needs to do in the same way similar hotel apps do.
My issue with the app is the spammy notifications. Who wants a buzz on their watch that says “Save 20% on during our global sale when you book through July 31”?
According to Apple App Store guidelines:
“Push notifications should not be used to advertising, promotions, or direct marketing purposes.”
I’ve disabled all notifications for the IHG app and will no longer worry about it. Still, that’s an annoying app “feature”.

They list that you get free breakfast. That’s if you are the first 20.... 2 out of 3 mornings they ran out of milk. All 3 mornings they had no orange juice. They say you get free coffee in your room.... wait that’s only the first morning..
They offered me free points, why would I want free points to a place with bad services.
This is perhaps the first time that I’ve actually use this app to find a hotel, and it is a fail. I opened the app, I clicked the button to find a hotel, and I entered Chicago, Illinois.
Unfortunately, before I could indicate the dates or the number of rooms or the number of people traveling, and before I hit the search button, it went into search mode and simply hung there.

After checkout or a week later it’d be nice if app would let you print receipt that looks like the actual receipt. Hilton’s app does a perfect job of printing an actual receipt. IHG is Soooooo much better we should be able to as well.

I would give this 5 stars except you do not get a quick response from the hotel on this app. Calling the front desk gets a quicker result. I made a request yesterday via the app and I am still waiting on a response. Seems like the request should be sent to the front desk as urgent so they can respond.
The room smells 1/5
I’m so disappointed with these place. I’m so surprised this is IHG member. The room smells. The carpet really looks old. The place needs a big time update. If not only I checked in at 1:30AM I would walk out and look for different place. The only plus is the room is big but it doesn’t matter if the room smells.

I was really impressed with the quality of this hotel. The staff was very friendly. I am slightly handicapped and they made things very easy for me. It may be a little expensive but it was well worth the stay. The breakfast was great the pool was clean and the rooms were very clean. I will definitely be staying there again.

We brought 27 students and 3 staff to the National Beta Convention. Everything was absolutely wonderful—we couldn’t have asked for better. The rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. The staff was out of this world. From front desk to housekeeping to shuttle drivers, everyone treated us very well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Recently (twice) the app stated I was not connected to WiFi. I was using my cellular service as I was on the road far from cell service. Thus, I could not book with the app. This was in an iPhone XR. Otherwise the app is very user friendly.

I’m currently on the phone with a reservations person. It’s my second call. Both people were incredibly nice and helpful. It has been a rough week and to receive friendly customer service means more than usual. I’ve stayed at Intercontinental hotels a number of times, but never an Evens. If the service at the hotel is this kind I will repeat.
Don’t waste money on IHG 1/5
No customer service. This is an international company. Finding a phone number for customer service that works is difficult. Stays purchased through the app cannot be cancelled. Reservations are paid in full and cannot be reimbursed. I cancelled a reservation and when I realized the penalty was the entire cost of the reservation I called to ask to keep the reservation they told me it was already cancelled but I could rebook the reservation at full cost again.
I fully recommend Expedia. Prices are the same and you have a larger selection hotels. The reservations are fully reimbursed. Used it for years but like Holiday Inn Express so I thought I would try their rewards program. It was a costly mistake.
I will avoid IHG and all its member hotels in the future.

I try and try to use app - on cellular- and it never works! It does on WiFi, but if you’re looking for a room- and not near WiFi- it doesn’t work. Period. Figure this stuff out you guys !! I’ll stay at Hilton instead!

I always use the app to make my reservations. When completed, you get a confirmation number. I always take a screenshot of it as a backup to the app, but I’ve never needed it. I’ve never had a reservation lost, cancelled or overbooked using this app. Plus as part of the rewards program you can build up points for a free or discounted rate.
The app will show current offers and deals. You can search cities or favorite destinations such as a theme park or aquarium and it will show you the closest hotels to that destination. I find it better to use the app then one of the big name hotel search websites where I’ve actually had them lose my reservation or overbook.
Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge are our go to.. and this app makes it more convenient. If you made a reservation several weeks in advance, I recommend calling the hotel phone number which is right on your app reservation and confirming your stay.

Fix Face ID sign in 2/5
I work for Holiday Inn Express and multiple guests wanting to sign in to their app using Face ID, and it does not work. Face ID does not fill in the PIN under the rewards members log in. Fix this, it’s an ongoing issue since the Face ID capability was enabled. USELESS! It redirects them to call the support number, this not only makes the guest frustrated it embarrasses us because we don’t know their PIN only their reward number.

Crashes frequently, logs me out for no reason, then I cannot log in back easily without calling support, messes up with my profile info asking me to update (when is up to date) I have decided multiple times to use different hotels just because this app.
Add to Apple Wallet not working 2/5
I was excited to see that I had the option to add my reservation to Apple Wallet. However the button doesn’t actually do anything. If this feature is fixed it would be 5 stars.

Most recent update is very buggy compared to previous version. The upcoming trips shows past trips. The search for hotels function stalls. Some of the profile links are not working and the app thinks I'm not signed in when it shows that I'm signed in...🤷🏾♂️ Hopefully will be fixed in next release.
