Intune Company Portal App

Microsoft Intune helps organizations manage access to corporate apps, data, and resources. Company Portal is the app that lets you, as an employee of your company, securely access those resources. Before you can use this app, make sure your IT admin has set up your work account. Your company must also have a subscription to Microsoft Intune. Company Portal helps simplify the tasks you need to do for work: • Enroll your device to access corporate resources, including Office, email, and OneDrive for Business • Quickly reset the password to your work account if you should forget it • Find apps that will help you with your daily tasks as provided by your company • View and manage all your enrolled devices – and wipe them yourself if they get lost or stolen • Get help from your IT department with easy-to-find contact information A note about Intune: every organization has different access requirements, and will use Intune in ways that they determine will best manage their information. Some functionality might be unavailable in certain countries. If you have questions about how this app is being used within your organization, your company’s IT administrator should have those answers for you. Microsoft, your network provider, and your device’s manufacturer do not know how Intune will be used by your organization.

Intune Company Portal app reviews

  • Zero stars 1/5

    By Rob'n'ood
Worst piece of crap ever. Hijacks the phone, forces you to change the PHONE passcode to uselessly complex one. Randomly locks the phone until you jump through their stupid hoops. I am forced to use thus utterly horrible manhle of code in order to see my job’s emails, but i am considering renouncing to mobile email access just to avoid thi program
  • Intrusive 1/5

    By Bnote23
It is unacceptable that this app is intruding on my personal AppleID
  • Terrible 1/5

    By JGMak13
Worst ever. I only have this app installed because the company I work for requires it. Don’t trust this app, seems like it makes all kinds of changes to data who knows what else.
  • Operations Manager 5/5

  • Failed to launch app when deployed over VPP via AC2 1/5

    By AcidBase96
I have 3000 iOS device that I am going to let it enrol into InTune MDM. As I do not have DEP yet from Apple, I am supervising the devices manually using Apple Configurator and push the Company Portal app via VPP with Apple Configurator so that my devices can then launch the company portal app and enrol the devices into InTune MDM. However, after I push my app via Apple Configurator 2 via VPP, when I launch the app, it crashes immediately on my devices running iOS 11.4 and 11.3.1. Signing in to App Store with my own Apple ID and downloading the app via the app store works but VPP distribution fails.

This is the worst app ever. It refuse to recognize touchid and wants to control your device. Make it actually work with iOS and try again. Learn how to build compatible apps first. Stop letting interns and first year grads build your apps MICROSOFT! Hire experienced professionals for a change.

  • Allows companies to spy on employees 1/5

    By Somedumb Guy
Mobile device and application management allows your employer to view your data, often in return for the “privilege” of getting work email on your personal device. That should be enough to scare anyone into not installing or using this.
  • Hate Big Brother 1/5

    By Moreland_Familia
Don’t like being forced to comply with corporate IT policies on my own device. I realize this has nothing to do with the app itself.

  • Great apps 5/5

    By amokeontop$
    Work sweetly made easy
  • Not well thought out 1/5

I think it’s unfair for companies to create a culture where employee compensation (eg bonus or promotions) is affected by responding to emails after work and then force employees to install this without providing or paying for a phone. I think it makes employees feel less appreciated for doing so.
  • BS 1/5

    By Samarthmshah
Microsoft employee here. This app is BS
  • Bit unnecessary as iOS supports these controls 1/5

    By Cicorias1
Makes device management simple but removes expertise as to what this actually does. For example the IT management folks say it cannot delete data outside of managed apps, but the policy is clear in iOS. Boils down to making each app better and secure data management, this allows app creators to be lazy and wish for the best and rely on this as their excuse for not implementing a secure app
  • Super bad user experience 1/5

    By SauTroj
Firstly, I hate this whole idea of Microsoft managing the phone just because I am reading official emails on phone. This is not correct. Second, in app it is very confusing experience

    By mdmjeff
Only after 3.0, with location services on and intune give ‘always’ access to location, Intune device check says ‘location services are disabled for this app’. Version 3 does not seem to be able to accurately detect device settings.

  • Slow. I’d delete this if my company didn’t force me to use it 1/5

    By Joe Pfeiffer
The main part of this app - the screen where your company lets you download the apps they provide you - is nothing more than a webpage. Why build this app just to load a webpage? It takes nearly a full minute to load the app and start an action like downloading - even on a fast connection. Compared to a native App Store like Apple and Google provide that is quick and responsive. A lot of the images are non retina so they look grainy. Apps that you delete still say they are downloaded. If my company did force me to use this app I would gladly delete it from my phone.
  • Ruined my phone 3/5

    By Mighty Mighty D.R.
I have had to completely reset up my phone twice since my company switched to this app. Now (3rd time) I have lost all access to my email, and all appointments in my calendar. IT can't figure out the problem, and now I may have to delete all data on my phone a start all over again.
