iTranslate Converse app reviews

  • Lackluster features, poor support 1/5

    By zwaldowski
I wanted the iTranslate apps to work. They look very nice and iTranslate is a trusted developer. Converse crashes during regular use, including 100% of the time on Apple Watch. Instead of fixing their problems, they take your subscription money and say everything is Apple’s fault.
  • Great app 5/5

    By Reynotes
Fantastic app if you have WIFI or Cellular signal
  • Buena aplicación 5/5

    By Jose2810
Es muy buena herramienta para mi trabajo
  • Palabras ofensivas- offensive words 1/5

    By #libre
I try to used it with Spanish and English and the accuracy is zero. But instead give you offensive non sense translations. Nunca solicite traducir palabras ofensivas y está aplicación insiste en traer palabras obscenas.
  • Too sensitive 2/5

    By ChoclateKiss
You have to press and hold to speak, the release for interpretation. If your finger has the least bit of motion, it goes red because it couldn’t understand. If you do not speak very succinctly, it will misinterpret. I have a country dialect, and this app does not handle it well, like others.

  • Doesn’t work 1/5

    By _Angie_B
I have read every (limited) article and watched the YouTube video- I have not gotten this app to work a single time. It listens, but does not translate anything. In fact it never does anything beyond listening... except time out on my Apple Watch (series 5).Super disappointed, got it to speak to my team of folks whose first language is Hindi... complete waste of my time.
  • So good 5/5

    This app is amazing!!!
  • Not that great 1/5

    By AndrewExpC
On the apple watch, it doesn’t work at all! Should implement the tap and hold feature like in the iPhone and it might start working. On the iPhone the app is alright. I get instant translations, but they are not that accurate when it comes to other languages such as Arabic and German. English to Spanish is decent. The developer should also stop commenting ignorant responses to the reviewers, if you get a bad rating just listen to your users and fix the issues instead of blaming it on them. Finally, get rid of that popup screen asking for a premium subscription. I didn’t fall for it, but I can see why other people are complaining about it. I’m giving it a one star for the following: -Doesn’t work on the Apple Watch, and on my iPhone I can just use Google Translate. -Inaccurate translations. -Developer’s responses to other users. -Unethical business tactics.
  • Wonderful 5/5

    By jjjdubzhahahahaaa
Just great. I learned how to say “I am cute” in Japanese totally on accident. Such a blast thank you apple
  • Please add language Amharic 4/5

    By Preto Lobo
please try to work on adding the Anharic language of the Ethiopian people.
  • Great Idea but poor execution 3/5

    By Nibisp
Currently visiting Thailand and thought it would be easier than google translate but it fails to recognize the Thai language. While speaking Thai it would recognize it as English and just say random things / words. Might work better for other languages but not working for me. I suggest putting a button on the top for the language you want translated and then a button on the bottom for your language. That way it would know to translate from which language. This app needs more testers and more features. Even if it means 5 second ads after 5 minutes of use. Or 10 second ad for opening app. Then ad free price. As well as a unlimited access price which is already available. But the subscription price is not worth it in my opinion.
  • Amazing 5/5

  • The BEST translator to teach you ANY phrase! 5/5

    By slimchick_74
This translator is AWESOME!! It translates any word or phrase instantly!! Who needs a class?!
  • Does Not Translate Sentences 1/5

    By cginnbcdddgiolmb
Does not work very well at all. My friend who speaks Spanish talked into my phone slowly multiple times and the app only picked up a few words. Does not translate simple English to Spanish well either. Seems to only translate words and not sentences.

  • Esta aplicación es una falsa 1/5

    By Camila2908

  • Scam App! Will charge you even if you cancelled. 1/5

    By Mazorak
I signed up for the 7-day trial to try it out. Google Translate has far better translations, same feature set, and is totally free. I noticed 3 days into the trial I was charged $70! I immediately cancelled and contacted the team for a refund. Their response was basically “tough luck.” I strongly advise you DO NOT download this app. They’re making their money off of these fake free trials.
  • Crashes on my brand new series 5 watch 2/5

    By BadDomino5
As much as I would like to trust this app, I tried some basic test translations on my brand new series 5 watch and the app would crash when trying to translate to Japanese. Just basic common phrases like may I have some water, etc. I'm sorry but I couldn't put much faith in using this app in an actual situation as it currently stands.

  • iTranslate Converse 2/5

    By Libz8888
Avoid this app. Many other apps to choose from that 1) wasn’t based off the Japanese language and 2) are easier to use and do a much better job. When using this app, it won’t keep up with someone who speaks a different language fluently. It just can’t keep up. And even if you’re using this app to translate a couple words or sentence, if you even slightly mis-pronounce something, you will get a different translation every time. Also doesn’t take into consideration the use of slang, or shortcuts. I am trying to learn Spanish and have several friends who speak Spanish as their first language... they just laugh at 90% of the translations this app retorts with. Example: “donde esta el baño” translates to “where is the bathroom”, but 8 times out of 10 it translates “what is the kid” or “where is the kid”. Veeeery touchy. The original language has to be precise.
  • Convenient 5/5

    By beastmode95926
Makes it simple to communicate with language barriers
  • Garbage 1/5

    By maxwords
I was charged $50 for a subscription renewal when I never even put down that I wanted the $50 subscription, I wanted the $5 subscription. This is fraud and unless I get refunded I will call my bank and dispute the charge.
  • AG Hyon 5/5

    By AG Hyin
It’s genius. I can learn and improve any language!
  • Free version? 2/5

    By ptezco
If as the developer says, there’s a way to use the app for free, it’s not visible in the FIRST screen that appears when you install the app. I am therefore saying goodbye. We barely met. The app can be very well a good thing. I have no idea. Just seems too aggressive when it comes to the subscription model to which I’m not opposed in general. Too aggressive, though.
