  • A necessity 5/5

    By Mellanippus
Though I speak a decent Spanish, I need much help with writing it as well as with some complex reading. This app is a life saver and if any are going to a Spanish speaking country bring it along.
  • Screw this app 1/5

    By O'Rahe
Downloaded and not even used due to the ridiculous prices apps like this should be free to use and ad free.
  • Amazing app 5/5

    By xgabrielahelenaa
I love this app. I have a friend in Beijing, China and I use it often when she says something she doesn’t know how to say In English. Or when I’m reading some Italian stories and there’s a word I can’t remember what it means. Great app!

  • One the best translation apps out there 5/5

    By Stribb01
As a student of foreign languages, I have tried pretty much every translation app out there. By far, this is the best one that I’ve come across without being asked to pay a large sum of money to use. Whether you use the free version or pay the $3.33 dollars a month, the quality is still the same. The app is stable and extremely easy and efficient. I highly recommend it.
  • YOU HAVE TO PAY?!?!? 1/5

You guys know I could go online or just download a different app like google translate witch is FREE unlike this
  • Language teacher 5/5

    By randy fine
I am using this to learn multiple languages at a time I live in America and there are so many people from so many different countries So now I learn their languages I type in what I want to say in English and it comes back in my target language You learn much faster when you are trying to learn what you need to get bye, instead of memorizing how to get to the airport Other people can say what they want in their language and it translates it into English Then if they say it again I can remember it, sometime. Love it It is so easy and fast It also works for text but I have not used it yet
  • For Entertainment Purposes Only. 1/5

Got this for offline reference while traveling in Italy, in the event of no carrier signal. It was quite entertaining, translating menu items to “Fear Cheese” and words on signs to nonsensical collections of letters. The “English” non-words and off the wall translations at least made it funny, but 100% useless for communication abroad, at least for Italian. Take the 5$ and put it toward a day of your international data plan and use google translate.
  • It keeps asking for money 1/5

    By Silver3B
The original app is free. Now the only thing it wants is for you to upgrade. I deleted it Response to developer- I fully understand the Pro version requires to be purchased. My review is about the free Limited version of the app which will not run. Every time I launch it, it will not run because of the banner promoting the Pro version. The app does not go beyond the promotional banner.
  • Very helpful 5/5

    By Kit183
I use this app to study language, and the translations are very precise and helpful. There is also a huge range of languages to choose from. 10x more accurate than google translate if I do say so myself
  • Definitions 4/5

It would be good to provide definitions—to distinguish senses of the words.
  • Now it’s sas? 2/5

    By Terry Hanson
I thought I bought this. I tried to restore the purchase but it doesn’t find it. No big deal. But 5 bucks a month is pretty excessive. I’m so tired of every app now being SAS.

Easy setup if you read directions. Ability to set diction speed/male or female voice for clarity. Repeated use helps understand proper simple phrases. Pro version w/camera interpretation is the greatest value for all international languages. I vacation from Hong Kong/Italy/Russia. I do not have time/ability regarding language. GREAT APP!
  • Poor customer service 1/5

    By TNC12002
I have used this app for years and purchased the “Pro” version. I sent the support team information concerning a defect in the app. Specifically, I advised the support team that a written number, such as, “one thousand” is translated as 1,000. The response I received was demeaning and without a solution. Rather than, we will get this fixed as soon as possible, the support team responds that they will look at it and put in in the queue if it needs a fix. To me, this is not acceptable.

I ha e used this app in the past, Recife rly updated my iPhone. Downloaded the app again and now it is forcing us to pay, it is wrong a lot of the time and defiantly not even remotely worth 5$ a month.

I really dislike apps that puts such a huge wall around their features they want you to pay before you get to use them. They make it seem like they are such gold you can’t even taste without paying. People don’t pay until they’re hooked they need to get you hooked on it first. And this apps’ metric for measuring use in order to get you hooked is very weakly implemented. I signed up for the free trial when I downloaded the app so that I could use the features but I did not need them at the time so I never used the app until the trial expired. So in the end I never even tried it one time. That is a really dumb trial. The app needs to measure the use of the app and give you a trial based on actual use not some finite amount of time. Especially when translation is something you use when you need it not just on demand when the app tells you to use it. You don’t have something to translate until you have something you need translated! Bad design when it comes to trial. Focus more on user experience. Sadly I can’t even use the app so what can I do? Uninstall

I canceled this subscription a good week beforehand and they still charged me. I went back into it now and quitting entirely is not an option. Really surprised apple allows this nonsense.

With all the languages I thought great! But you do not support Hebrew. I cannot use the app
  • Noun VS Verb 1/5

    By Dis Greek Boi
It could be the free version, idk. But it can’t seem to tell the difference between a noun and a verb for words that could be either. I did a few words like this and ugh, terrible results that could affect translates greatly. Like for example, I wanted to translate “Stored Power” from English to Greek. In this sense, I meant power the noun. It kept translating it like the verb. For words like these, if it can’t tell the difference at the very least provide an option that switches verb and noun for individual words.

iTranslate quit translating Spanish to English, just get Spanish back. Was a very good app, now worthless. Fix soon or finding another app.
  • Not for Japanese 1/5

    By Tsubame0055
I downloaded Japanese-English for the technical translation exam at the job interview, for it provides offline access. Before the exam I tested it out and found it is useless for Japanese. Not even lack of vocabularies, it is really useless. Google translate is much better for Japanese users. 6/3/2018 It didn’t translate simple finance word which was not considered as “technical”. This app may work for other languages but need some improvement for Japanese.

  • LOVED this app initially & would have paid for it, BUT... 2/5

    By GoodStuffHappens
Initially this app would have gotten 5 stars. It beat google translate and a tu ally did a decent job translating English to German & vise versa; especially for a free app. But of late the app consistently crashes immediately after is finishes the cycle of translation; and before I have time to even verify it’s accuracy so not sure if it’s still as correct as it used to be I read in a some reviews that it isn’t anymore; i.e. Korean for example, but I wouldn’t know since it keeps crashing. Wrote to Support and will see what happens. Also asked me to upgrade which I strongly considered but not with some of the small print in permissions. Beware that it requires access to any past translations as well & beware that anything you type it paste into it to translate will be accessed by this app; so you might wish to leave out financial or sensitive Information, etc.; like if you’re translating a contract. Also, the premium (paid) version price tag seems rather steep to a lot of the reviewers here as well as to me the way it is organized now. I’d say it’s a bit of “carrot” app; “Lookie what I got here! Okay now come and get it!” ...Once you start chasing it, it eludes you. ... If they make improvements and adjustments, I’ll alter my review, but for I’ll say, sadly, I’d pass!
  • I haven’t even used it. Installed, launched, and uninstalled. 1/5

    By H7x
I’m just angry that it was advertised as promotionally free but then it’s still a $6/mo subscription fee. Which is freakin pricey for a translation app, it must be awesome for the publisher to think they can charge that.
  • Pretty good 5/5

  • Disgusted 2/5

    By Vampaliciousss
Do you really think it’s fair to take an app I’ve been using for quite some time and all of a sudden lock me out of key language unless I pay for them? This brings greed to an entirely new level and if this is how you operate, you can count me out of any future purchases. I can’t believe that I bought an app and I’m now I’m being supposed to pay again because some key languages have been locked. Truly disgusting.
