  • Apple Don’t Delete this App... 5/5

    By Nikki.CA
Our world as we know it has changed for all humanity due to COVID-19. Anyone with children in grade school may still be involved in homeschooling or distance learning like myself with my 8 year old daughter. Having a free resource as wonderful as this is a blessing in such difficult times. The fact that I already am a #1 fan of ONLY Apple devices with my MacBook Air, iPad Mini and iPhone, I trust to only use Apple applications as well. Please reconsider any educational applications during this Coronavirus scare. If anyone had told me that one day I’d be choosing to be a teacher, I’d never believe them. You see, I am extremely impatient naturally with OCD, ADHD and severe anxiety disorders that I take 4 different daily prescription medications. It’s been quite a journey that has gotten easier with time over the past 16 years. Maybe we will all be fortunate enough to find that Apple has an even better plan with their educational applications for us;). God bless and be safe! Nicole M, 49 Sacramento, CA

Why is it being discontinued at the end of 2021?! I wanna have it not be discontinued . But what do you mean that it will be discontinued like your not doing any updates any more to it?
  • Don’t discontinue 5/5

    By GMOneyyYyy69
I love this app and I’ve been using it for years. There is no good alternative. The apps that they offer as replacements (schoolwork/classroom) are NOT acceptable substitutes. There is also no third-party options that are even remotely decent. PLEASE reconsider discontinuing this app.
  • I love this app 5/5

There’s so many lectures in this app from Yale to Harvard and i find it very informative.

I am so tired of this app and allows the different types of things people have to download in order to use anything I am not good with this technology
  • Needs stuff for kids. 1/5

    By 🖤🏳️‍🌈🖤🏳️‍🌈
This app is great. It lets you take free courses from the comfort of your own home at your own pace. It’s great, but my daughter wants to learn Greek. Her and I looked on this app, and couldn’t find anything she could understand. It really needs more courses for kids.

For who? Apple self interest. So done with general statements and no details. Once downloaded set the trap and no going back. We demand significant details! Stop on the App Store LOCKING OUT previous downloads updates and previous versions of APPS AND OSs! My god cannot even go back and download previous versions such Mac OS El Capitan without jumping through hoops and High Sierra because there is no complete download available anywhere. Because Apple locked out next versions of MacOS on certain Macs by intentional obsolescence, iOS compatibility with MacOS is locked in at iOS 12. If you missed 12.5 before 13 you are screwed. If you are finally able to upgrade to iOS 13 you are screwed. Must update to latest iOS 14.

  • Consider adding speed adjuster 2/5

    By kevinlugardo
Apple, please consider adding a tool that would let me increase the speed of the video like youtube. I am very grateful for the thought and access to free education but for someone's who's gotten sued to 2x the speed for educational videos, this feels laborious experience. This is the only complaint I have toward the app

  • Not able to change speed? 1/5

    By Davv84627
I listen to YouTube at 1.5 or 1.75x speed as it Saves time. I will never look at videos in this app if I can’t change speed. Please update this easy addition.

I absolutely love this app. The wealth of knowledge accessible at the touch of a button is an EXCEPTIONAL TOOL, and I am so grateful for it!! There really is no excuse for ‘I don’t know’, when u have the education right here to fix that! THANK YOU, Apple!!💕👍🏼🤓

I can’t write a review for a course. I can’t actually download the course content. I’ve tried downloading every individual item manually and using the “auto download” options to no avail
  • App is a good idea, but... 1/5

    By ProSoundLive
Apple is severely limiting this app's potential by trying to keep it so exclusive. Not only are they refusing to allow it to work in conjunction with other platforms, but you cant even access it from other Apple devices such as your laptop or desktop computer. One would think that an intelligent decision would be to design an educational app around the idea that learning is a lifetime persuit and to design it in a way that allows it to adapt to the changing world. Wake up, Apple. Inclusivity is the new exclusivity.
  • An open platform for personal growth 5/5

    By Soontobetoplaw
I learned how to program from a course on here! All the open content on this rich platform allows everyone to participate in learning and growth, at their own pace and ability level. Lots of respect for iTunes U!
  • Keep on learning.... 5/5

    By JCalhoun
One of the cooler but low-key things Apple has done. My daughter, in high school, learned HTML/CSS from the Yale CS course. It inspired her to create her own hand-rolled blog. We love you iTunes U!
  • App doesn’t seem to work 1/5

    By Ethomas72365
I have for the past year and a half tried to use the app to give myself a refresher but the app needs to be updated. So when I go to update the app it says I have to buy the app again. I go to the App Store to download and it actually like it is going to download but it never does. The app came preloaded on my phone.
  • MacBook 5/5

    By _.1uv7
I feel as if Apple should make this able to go onto a MacBook, it would definitely help to have it on a bigger screen so I could take notes better! Just a thought.
  • Wont download 1/5

The app isn’t downloading onto my phone! It keeps saying « open in the app store. » this is also happening to my friends’ phones. Please fix this!

Just Update The App it Has Been months.
  • 2015 The Most CURRENT Material?!? 4/5

    By MatthewAV
This SHOULD BE an embarrassment to Apple to have such out of date material and call it their University. BUT, I don’t have all the facts (nor do probably 98% of the reviewers here). Just like grocery stores have us scanning and bagging our own groceries now, Apple is probably riding the wave of letting the Users do all the work for free, then featuring them in an “Apple Story”. Heart warming. Embracing Underserved Left-Handed Coders! Empowering users! (Code for: Free labor that doesn’t take sick days or need health insurance.) •• Sometimes departments in mega-corporations are purposefully sparsely funded to barely maintain content; they can’t even consider updating it. •• The goal: let the department wither away while using the mounting negative reviews as proof the department is not needed. ••> I personally know a Chief Scientist with more than 35 years at a certain GIGANTI-NORMOUS, industry leading and industry-standard software company (cool graphics, photography stuff). ••> Chief Scientist above told me that tactic was tried on him by new exec’s... ••> Then they found out he worked with the FOUNDERS in the early “garage days” of said software company and the founders knew him by name. ••> New exec’s were left trying to find jobs in an industry dominated by this company and branded on their foreheads with the reputations of p*ss*ng-off the FOUNDERS of said GIGANTI-NORMOUS software company. ••> Apple can’t be THAT CLUELESS about the state of content in their “University”.

I have not tried it out yet, hope it good. ✌️
  • Nothing about engines 1/5

    By Deft car
I can’t find up to date books about engines any where I did find a book about internal combustion but it was priced 100$ and written in 2015
  • Is it free though??? 4/5

    It good if it’s free
  • Needs an Overhaul 2/5

    By TheCosmonator
It’s okay at best. The UI is so dated, and it is not very well organized. The app clearly hasn’t been touched in so long. Marking up a document in the app needs to be able to actually work. And please...change the name. Apple, please update this app! Give it an overhaul!
  • Wonderful app! 5/5

I wish it would be as big as Tiktok. But who wants to watch Yale lectures, right? give me a ducking pancake cereal!!!
  • THE COURSES DO NOT APPEAR! 1/5

    By justanotheriraqiguy88
I live in Iraq and free education is a great idea looking at the financial situation here and from the reviews I have read this is the best education app on iOS. The problem with me is that the free courses do not appear the page just stays blank when I enter and the search function also stays blank and it is not because of the internet because I tested my speed and it was at 1.5 mb/s a fix would be very useful
  • Update needed but one of the best apps I’ve ever used 5/5

    Thank you
  • Great resource, but sub-par Apple product 3/5

    By GrahamBablam
iTunes U provides great resources for learning across a wide variety of subjects; however, it’s navigation is frustrating, and it is prone to many UI and UX errors and glitches. I’ve come to expect higher standards from Apple... it seems like this app has been rather forgotten.
