    Customer Service was terrible and not helpful at all. I requested a call back to avoid holding. The automatic call hung up on me the first time and when called back I was placed on hold after being told I was first in line for another 10-15 minutes. I attempted to change the shipping address but was told I would have to contact UPS and no changes to the order could be made. I ordered the wrong size in a item and stated to just cancel the order but this could not be done either. The associate appeared unconcerned. This is my first time on-line order and this will be the last. I also sent a email at the time the order was placed to correct the shipping address but there has been no changes. Worst first experience ever... I rate service as a 1.

    I ordered an item (item name is a secret) on April 24th and I still haven't received it, it's May 28th. When I call to check the status, the automated system says it's been shipped. I talk to a rep, they said it's still in the process and hasn't been shipped. Every time I call the customer service line (regardless of the time of day) to check status, it's always "high volume" calls and I always have to wait at least 25 minutes before someone finally answers. The only reason I ordered from JCPenny is because they had my item, no other store had it at the time and couldn't wait any longer. Worst place ever to order something from.

    Ordering items never a problem, getting them another story. I received half of my order . The other half of my order looks to be sitting in a post office 30 minutes from my house for the past 9 days with no further movement. Trying to reach customer service is a joke. I emailed with name and account number and order number, the response I got back was that my name on the email needed to be my full first name not shortened after the thank you. A response back with my full legal name responded in absolutely no response. A call to customer service where there was a 28 minute wait , on the first call I opted to get a phone call back when I moved up in the line. After waiting 24 hours with no call, I called back, only to be disconnected after my 30 minute wait. The 3rd call I did get to speak to this poor guy, whose response was “ hmmm, well give us a call next week if you don’t get it”, then read to me tracking info ( that I can read myself stating item at a post office). Needless to say, my blood pressure is probably through the roof. Pandemic or not, shipping has always been an issue. And by the way Post office is essential and I could have walked to the post office and home 5 times for as long as it has sat there. They give no perks, they have rote responses and overall just don’t seem to give a crap whether your items were delivered or not.

    SmDavis16 has it right on the money!! It is so very frustrating when you are trying to place orders and you can’t get it working right in time to even get the item because all of a sudden it’s no longer available. The issues w looking up an item and finding pricing and size and placement in cart is truly a problem that needs to be fixed or you will lose even more shoppers! Can’t even look up my previous orders to see what size I ordered!

    I am hoping the sheets I order I will like as much as I do the Liz Claiborne sheets that are 350 or 400. Thread count. I like cool crisp sheets so I hope these will be just that and as good as the Liz C sheets. I did buy the Liz C butter sheets ... they are nice but not the cool crisp feel

    While this app has a lot of useful features, it’s not enjoyable trying to shop when it keeps crashing. In 10 minutes time, this app crashed 5 times. I don’t remember previous versions crashing like this. It’s very annoying, as I have to start over with my searches each time.

    This App is a “hit or miss” App; sometimes it works but majority of the time it doesn’t. It’s better to go to the website when it comes to purchasing items however BEWARE the App does not see what you have purchased. Therefore, if you want to track your purchases, you will have to go back to the website for status updates.

    Every single time I go to log in my password never works!! This gets old. I don’t have problems with other stores. This app is from the stone . You waste too much time just logging on to this app. Not worth the time and your frustration just to save money. It’s just not worth it. Also it’s not very viewer friendly.

    I have ordered a various amount of things with the JCPENNEY App. I have had to wait but I am not disappointed. I bought clothing, baby clothes, bedding, makeup, loads of make up! I’ve also purchased a mattress at an excellent price takes about as much time as ordering from some place like wink, or tuft to get it. I have ordered furniture and I’m still waiting on that. But I imagine that because of the shutdown things are going to be slower. I’m satisfied with the quality of product and customer service that I’ve received. I love JCPenney!

    At a time like this where people are out of work and struggling for food and bills JC PENNY decided to be ruthless and charge a 27.00 late fee! Very disheartening to me! So much so that I’ve payed off my account and am closing it and I’ll never shop there again EVER! You’ll pay for that late fee! How the hell ruthless can you get! My balance was 41.00 and they put a 27.00 late fee on that small amount! Over half of what I owed. You have some nerve people and you just lost a customer!!!

    Everything went well with placing my order to getting an email, telling me my purchased items where ready for pick up the next day; until I got to the store. I followed instructions about the curb side pick up & called the phone number provided. I had to call 5 times to try and get someone to answer but no one ever did. I was trying not to go inside the store to avoid interaction with many people due to the virus. This was really inconvenient for me because in that case I would’ve just picked to get it delivered to my address. I had no choice but to get down & thankfully, I had my mask with me. I’m sure there was a valid reason but very upsetting as a customer.

    I love JCPenney, I have loved it for about 26-30 years. I can find everything I need there, the perfect dress pants (worthington) which I cannot always find, household, play time clothes, shoes, makeup. This list goes on and on. Never need to wast my time anywhere else

    I ordered a necklace for my daughter’s first communion over 60 days ago. I understand that the current pandemic has made processing and delivering orders difficult. I have now been waiting over 20 minutes on hold for a customer service rep bc I cannot get any information through the automated system other than the order is in process. While the first communion has been delayed, I just want to know if her necklace is even coming or if I need to cancel the order and move on to a different vendor. The self service order cancellation tool promised on the app is also missing so I cannot even go that route.

    I see bad reviews here and have to honestly say I never have a bad experience! Great quality, aim to please, sales fit my budget, and with a few exceptions now and then, and everyone deserves a break when they are having a bad day now and then, I am always pleased with JCP, Boardman and Niles stores, Ohio. I would be crushed if something were to happen to JC Penneys, I grew up with JCP and hope to never have to find out !
