When I first got Kobo I was like “Yes! I can read free books!”. But that happiness didn’t last long. It told me to sign in so I used my google account and it said sign in again. After like 20 try’s I gave up and deleted the app. DONT GET IT!
This Rakuten Kobo is Excellent because you can buy books using PayPal
The Perfect Kiss by Susan Hatler 5/5
By North of Disneyland
I loved it! It wasn't something deep and heavy but, just a sweet romance! This wasn't a book that was banned for a certain age and it wasn't explicit! You pay attention to the characters as they were all special not, just the leads.Brody, the male lead was described as a tanned Greek God and Olivia had trouble deciding what she really wanted to do. She also, wasn't the most graceful but, wanted to make everybody happy! You meet their friends, their bosses and the Women at the Independent Women's Retreat! By the time you get to the end you're wishing you could join the party and mingle and have a mimosa.
I voluntarily read and honestly reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy.
Better than Kindle 5/5
I have been a long time Kindle user. I feel Kindle is not made for readers. The Kindle restricts you from changing the formats. Kobo focuses more on the readers’ unique reading style. No two Kobo is the same. This is in the app and Ereaders. If you reorder the letters Kobo, you would have book. That tells you a lot about the company that name itself using the letters in book. They are tailoring to readers. They don’t have other products, just creating unique reading experiences for each reader. Try its ereader as well. You won’t be disappointed.

What is the benefit of making an account if 0 books are available in Pakistan
Great app 4/5
Easy to use and manageable would be better if I could purchase from the app.
It keeps sending me out of the app every time I’m trying to read something

Avid Reader 5/5
By Emerick B.
I’m a avid reader. A retired bookseller & read a book every day or two. I read all formats both tangible book as well as ereaders. Out of kindle, nook, and a couple others Kobo is my favorite. Its so easy to purchase books as well as utilize Kobo. I get better deals too. Thanks Kobo.

Great app 5/5

I used to have 3 reading apps but Kobo is the only one I use now. Easy, quick and simple to use, love it.
I think it’s ok 2/5

The book got so great but the enimes buildings look so old with bad quality and bad voice but I think it’s ok for grandchildren and grandparents to read it but my grandson said the book was a little bit inappropriate. But the actor was so terrible at this book becuase the ilstrations maked him look terrible but it’s ok
Useful to read from, not much else 1/5
A book sellers app that does not allow purchasing books from the seller is pretty useless other than reading.
Most of my book purchases are from Kindle. Know why?
Because they make it easy to buy my books.
Kobo might want to take notice.
Need to enable TOUCH I. D.
Kobo is my favorite reader for use on the iPad 5/5
I like how the Kobo app works, especially the way folders can be used to sort books. Now the app on the iMac allows better search options. It is also easy to go back and forth to keep Plaintext notes on my iPad. I also like how it is set up to easily give a review of the book when I finish.
It would be nice to have an archive folder for books I have read and probably won't revisit. It would be such that the all folder still shows all, but if I want to edit my books-read folder, it would let me go to the all listing minus the archive ones. As it is now, as my library gets bigger, it gets clumsier to use.
It skipped a bit 4/5
It would go back like 2 or 3 chapter. Sometimes
Awkward to use, avoid if any choice. 1/5
By Mad Paladin
Navigation within text is awkward. if using on an ipad, landscape mode stretches the text across the screen rather than dividing into two page-like sections like Kindle. Page transitions are nonexistent, sometimes causing confusion.
Honestly, I only have this app because Kobo bought out the company where a number of my ebooks were purchased, and therefore this app is the only way to access them. would not use them if my investment was not held hostage like that.
Just getting started!
It’s disappointing that books still can’t be shared between family members and books can’t be transferred to iBooks for sharing there. I’m buying through iBooks from now on.
The book held my attention for the whole time. Very interesting reading. Look forward to reading another book.

I wish I could copy a word so I could put it in my translator, or have the option to open the Turkish<->English translation dictionary.
I can’t even make an account 1/5
I am absolutely positive I typed my password and email right yet I can’t make an account.
Totally Confused 2/5
I’ve been using this app for a few years off and on, and loved it. Whatever update(s) applied makes the app hard to navigate. I don’t like it.
Dr Antoinette Myers 5/5
By Dr. A. Myers
I have purchased this tablet approximately 2010 listening a Wendy Williams show ( price deduced). I enjoy USO’s and reading my books. RECOMMEND to readers nationwide.
Thank you very much for making reading easier as I get older!!!
Charged me for a book 5 times more than it was and never got back to me about it
Was never able to log in to site 1/5
This app is taking my money yet won’t let me login.
Page display 3/5
Blank pages at the end and beginning of chapters is something that could be eliminated. It would greatly improve the overall experience.
Audio books 1/5
I love that kobo started audiobooks in their bookstore so I decided to do a monthly audio subscription. Why did they take out their payment but didn’t give me my 2 free audiobook credits. When I contact them concerning my 2 credit they lied and said I already use them and I know I didn’t because I had been waiting on them. So I lost my 2 credit and my money.
I was promised a free audiobook when I signed up with a free account and didn't receive one.
Can’t use the app without an account but how?? 1/5
You can only listen to sample unless you have Kobo account but there is no option to create it. What madness!!
Love reading... 5/5
Started as a distraction, 13 years ago after the loss of my son in Iraq...saved me. Ebooks are a blessing...thank you! Kobo rocks! Love your free selections!
Kobo is the only ebook company I use 5/5
I always use kobo to read & buy ebooks love them
Kobo app 4/5
By Watch bre
I love the Kobo app. Reading in this app is great. I also have Kindle.
I have an iPad and only problem is that it sometimes takes a while to load.
not bad. but where are the dictionaries? 4/5
By Sebastian Soo
I’m a bit surprised that it doesn’t have the lookup function as in kindle or ibooks. It’s essential for me to read a book in a foreign language.
Poor Customer Service 5/5
Would not let me exchange a book that was misleading in the title. I was looking to spend more on the correct book but it will not be through kobo. My account will be canceled tonight and bad reviews will be posted on social media. I was excited to switch from Amazon but will be going back now.
Too long 3/5
This book could have been more effective if it were about 50% less in length. His story give one a lot to think about and a new perspective on world dynamics. However, the veracity of his tale is put into doubt because of the lack of balance in presenting more than one way to view world dynamics. He is on a mission. And like most fanatical missionaries he is very self invested, making his views of the world less credible.
Hoping for expanded choice 1/5
No option to buy a book I wanted to explore other e book platforms but can’t as this app does not allow me to buy a book.
Competition is always good. 5/5
Been with Kindle since day one. I’m finding Kobo to be easier to use and I love the rewards program. It appears that on balance books through Kobo will be less expensive and the interface just as good.
I’ve found a new source for my books!
It used to work fine 3/5
By what's going on
I use it to import PDFs to read. It used to be okay but now the bookmark disappears from time to time and the sort list using recent doesn’t work anymore!
Great App! 5/5
I so enjoy this app! My only "thing?" It tends to go back to my iPad home screen quite often. I have to shut down iPad and start again. Annoying, But, Thankful it doesn't do this more than a couple of times a week!
Better than kindle in some ways, worse in others 4/5
Highlighting is a little clumsy and the menu big takes more clicks to navigate, but it’s a solid epub reader with a good selection of fonts and library organization.
The e reader is handy and user friendly of sorts. Big problems: copying an pasting from text is not easier as others readers, and, most harmful, syncing imported ( not bought) book with desktop is nearly impossible . Kobo will only gain readers if it addresses those flaws.
The Fix 5/5
,Fabulous ,continued suspense. Following a brilliant mind and detailed deduction
Greatest suspense author of the 21st century
Looking forward to reading all of his books
Kobo app for iPods 3/5
* Being able to use search to edit my collection
* I have over 1400 books and over 280 collections and every time I have to change phones or remove and reinstall the app I have to put everything back in order and it takes a lot of time.
* you have the menu bar on the bottom and we are supposed to be able to edit/personalize it. Every time I do it defaults back after I go to read a bit or close the app. Extremely frustrating.
I am rather upset with your product. I bought a book and it never got into my library. Then your HELP told mr to delete the web site. I did and lost the books I had bought, but haven’t read yet. I have read thru you for years. I rebought the book I wanted in a series on IBooks. I don’t know how I can get the books I lost. There are 3 that I hated to loose.
I am enjoying reading but still find a few quirks like getting to title page easily. I still need to try out annotating.
Maybe if it let me finish the book I’d rate it higher 2/5
It worked all the way up to the last ten percent of my book and now it decides to keep giving me an error message of “something went wrong. Please try again”... I can go back and it will play, but any further than that last ten percent and it stops playing. Like why am I paying $10 a month to not even be able to finish the book? Robbery.
Decent but needs tweaks 3/5
The app needs to allow for changes in line spacing and margin widths. Reading books on my iPad with this app leaves a lot of unused space around the edges, and large gaps between lines of text.
Sadly lacking in text and layout options 2/5
Considering Kobo e-reader devices are well known for their text customization features I was shocked to see how few options they have in the iOS apps. No line height options, not great typeface choices, no margin or any other spacing options. Many books by default have super short line heights making it difficult and uncomfortable to read in this app.
No two column support in landscape on iPads is a big disappointment as well along with no way to keep sideloaded books in sync. I really, really wanted to switch from Kindle but all of this is making it sadly unlikely.
