Excellent story 5/5
The overall narrative was compelling, well paced plot, and great inclusion of interesting scientific and philosophical topics of technology and mortality. 5/5, well worth the read.
Meh. Original Lifeline good, Whiteout is a snooze. 1/5
The original lifeline in space was fairly decent, and the game so CDOT is actually pretty cool, but this Whiteout storyline is awful.
Whoever is writing these storylines sounds like a spineless, millennial whiner, with zero backbone, who, in their spare time is constantly yelling “Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad, Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom.....
The storyline is tepid, spineless and whiny. The characters are the same. At every juncture I found myself wishing the characters would “grow a pair” and quit being so whiny.
Fun Game, Could Be Better. 4/5
I really liked this game. The premise of being the only one able to help a man lost in a hostile environment is interesting. I like getting to know the character bit by bit. I was lucky enough to make it through the whole game my first try.
Seeing Adams struggle with his choices and morality was one of the best parts of this game. Very well done. Even when he begins to freak out at the last part. This makes him relatable. His bond with the dog was also a great choice.
If I could change some things
- the amount of time while Adams is busy could be shortened or there could be a button to skip
- some of the dialogue was irrelevant or didn't seem all that 'real'
- I'd like a little more description of the environment and how Adams is feeling physically to make it seem more realistic
- it would be amazing if there was a voice over of Adams voice so it feels like he's really speaking to you. But I get that requires a real professional to sound good.
I am personally a fan of all the Lifeline games. Because i love all the adventures that i could guide the character through.
Greatest game I have ever played 5/5
By Conrad Crouch
I know this looks really boring in the screenshots but once you read it and follow the story it gets so good 🙂🙂🙂
Good game but takes too long 4/5
Interesting game, but takes too long for Adam to respond. And there is no way to configure how fast he will get back to you. A lot of time spent waiting.
This game is so much fun can’t wait to buy the one ones
5 Stars 5/5
A great game! 🙌🏽✨
We need a sequel to Whiteout!! 5/5
I am just shocked at how amazing this game was, I feel bad for not paying! If you’re thinking of buying it, you won’t regret it.
Awesome game 5/5
This game was so good and left me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. I love games like this and I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!!! #TeamHumam!!!!!!!!
Amazing, best “text/choice game” I’ve found so far 5/5
By Sunset is my favorite color
It’s amazing what text can convey. This is the first Lifeline I’ve completed, but I am currently playing through the others and this is so far my favorite. It tests people’s mind by providing choices that are moral-based and knowledge-based and, in my opinion, these choices are great for making people stop and think and if you are uncaring and hasty, it will probably have consequences. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. It’s the first ever text-based game/app I’ve ever played and seen that made me become close to crying and it made me sad to think that at the end of the game... That Adams is not a real person but a character and that I would never get to know him in real life and have a drink with him, haha. Anyway, I rate this 5 out of 5 stars and I am very glad I got to experience this app.
The storyline was incredible 5/5
The story was suspenseful and I spent hours on this app. It felt like I was actually in the story. I loved that we got to choose responses. I got all the way to the end of the story in a few day. I just wish that there was more to read.
Great Game 5/5
I think this game is very good and addicting but i wish the story was longer. *spoiler alert* when you finally destroy the facility you just leave adams i wish you could continue to talk to him but although other lifeline games do continue the story i think this one should be longer
You actually get invested in the character. Great way to spend some time.
Such a great game 5/5
By The Goodvibes
Really gets you attached to the character and makes you anxious to get the next notification
The best! 5/5
This is my favorite Lifeline game! I’ve played it a couple times just for the heck of it! I even have the Lifeline Library app so I could play the preview chapter! I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT GAME TO COME OUT!!😁
I really don’t like apps that put update badges on my screen 2/5
And I HATE ones that don’t let you clear them.
🎉I BEAT IT!🎉 5/5
This was probably the best choice game out there, it felt real so you felt like you were actually part of the game.
Oh my lord 5/5
I loved it so much and I couldnt get over how realistic it was and how the little useless seeming details that mean so much to the story line and plot and i am very interested to check out and look at other lifeline games to see how they play out and I just enjoyed it to an extreme level thank you.
Good, but not Great. 4/5
By Amazingly fun!!
Let me start off by saying I liked this game, I found myself anxiously awaiting for Adams to reply back most of the time. However, I wish that it was longer. I felt it was pretty short lived and could have been expanded quite a bit. Especially for what it is, which is basically all just dialogue. Overall it was still good, the idea behind it is cool and original. So 4 stars is well deserved.
I really liked this game. Adams was a little annoying at the beginning but his personality evolved as the game went on. And by the third try I got him out safely. I actually wanted the game to continue by then, or at least to get some further communications to say how he did after he was free. And Blue too, of course. Give this a try (or three).
Had me Emotional 5/5
I never thought i'd care about the well being of a stranger but this game made me think otherwise
Great storyline, i loved tho use of different choices, and the ability to change said choices
Want Sequal 5/5
By Awesome500 3
Great game left me wanting more. Please make a sequal.
If the creator is reading this I wanted to say when is blackout 2 come out I was so hyped when you announced it but I still play the life line games
Incredible! Very immersive! 5/5
I could really feel the emotion in the game and I felt like I really was part of it. I felt connected to the character and felt great to help Adams through his journey. 100% recommended!
The most beautiful game 5/5
This is the most beautiful story I have ever experienced. When it ended I wanted more. This game makes you feel a connection with the character (and the dog is awesome). You need to buy this. Please make a sequel. Adams is the best character. It tells a true tale of humanity.
Great story 5/5
This was a perfect short story that took minutes a day to play. Choose your own adventure as you advise the protagonist.
Compelling Story 5/5
Awesome story that will hold you to the very end.
Interesting text adventure!
By App Cover
Absolutely incredible! Would recommend
Fun little game for the iwatch! 5/5
Loved the game!
Play it now.
By Mr died a boss
All the cliffhangers and storylines make this one of my favorite apps I went back and played it a couple times just curious to see if what u did made any difference and it does!
Amazing game! 5/5
It had me hooked! I strongly recommend this game!
I just completed it and I LOOOOVED I. Can't wait for the next lifeline game.
Very Interesting 5/5
I enjoyed the game, very unpredictable!
Awsome game 5/5
Super awesome game!!!
Too much waiting 3/5
By alex me
The concept is appealing, but there's too much waiting involved. This ruins it for me, and makes it feel more like a chore than a game.
Can't wait for ch2 of the sequel 5/5
By strong 123
Well designed, well written, well thought of.
I liked the idea of having a friend in-game that i guide and help and i have tried a couple of other lifeline games but whiteout is the best. It attracted me to play it in the time i had to study. It is very addicting and fun to play and I can't wait for chapter 2 of whiteout to drop.
I like the project overall but hate that you don't have the fast story mode in all of lifeline games
Impressive emotional-investment growth 5/5
By Rubah Renard
Some parts of the mechanism require some serious suspension of disbelief, but only because the goal is so ambitious: get you to feel invested in the decisions of a fictional character. At first I thought of the time delay as inconvenient gimmickry, but ended up surprised at how well it worked. Definitely worth a playthrough.
Love this game!!!! It's like a book!
This game I don't how to describe it but amazing and how deep it goes
Love it! 5/5
Reminds me of choose your own adventure stories as a kid. Love these games.
Gr8 game 5/5
Gr8 game with alot of effort put in, Im just wondering how to make a game like this
It's slow and boring 1/5
This is ridiculous. Takes hours to get Adams to respond, you make decisions that don't have any consequences. There are no wrong choices and no right ones. Dumbest thing I have ever played. I gave it a shot. Don't understand the positive reviews.
Fan, but not of this 1/5
By The Shadow KNOWS!!!
I play the games made by this company often. I enjoy them. They are creative and well-made. However, this one just took me on a trip I didn't want to go on. Why does the character have to beat the man until he is dead? Why is there no other option? For a choose your own ending, it really feels like there is only one ending and the creators are forcing you into that one ending. All other ways you either die for end up in the same exact place. It's inevitable, and it takes away all choice.
Amazing game 5/5
This game is amazing!!!!
Intense & Entertaining 5/5
You really get into this game!! You care about the character, very engrossing!
Adam is busy 2/5
By John Hention
Adam must be like 90 because he is as slow as old people leaving church on Sunday.
Old school fun 5/5
Was enjoyable to utilize ones imagination. Going to get more of the series
