“[A] surprising iPhone and Apple Watch bestseller is pushing the boundaries of fiction” - “This is the best game on the Apple Watch” - Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together. You can even respond to Taylor directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app. Or, dive in and jump back to earlier points in the story, and see what happens when you make a different choice. Simple actions can have a profound effect. Complete any single path to restart the story and unlock this mode. Lifeline is a deep, immersive story of survival and perseverance, with many possible outcomes. Taylor is relying on YOU. • This Game is Amazing! 5/5

So I decided to get this game. It’s interesting and I just wish that they could make a weekend where they make the series for free!
  • Just give into the game and enjoy the ride 4/5

    By Jon221369
One advise i give to anyone, turn ON notifications and just give into the game, like a magic show or movie or play or VR, if you keep telling yourself this is unrealistic then obviously it won’t be. Chill out and enjoy the ride. It’s also the only game you can play on your lockscreen which adds to the magic. Some of the reviews are as annoying as the character sometimes... it’s not a perfect game but i’m impacted and there is no other game out there like this. I found myself more and more drawn to the story as it progressed. Some people complain that it’s slow, i personally think it’s more realistic and unexpected that way. I get like a personal text from the character every so often as i would from my friends. It’s engaging and worth the experience.

This game is just amazing with how the story went and how it would make you wait after making a choice which caused a whole lot of suspense per choice, if anyone is reading this, I recommend you buy this game Signing off, a satisfied gamer
  • Incredible. 5/5

    By Guarddreamer
The way an app can captivate me and keep me waiting in anticipation for a notification is mind boggling. The way the story is written, the way Taylor responds, the way the app interacts with you is outstanding. You NEED this game. *end transmission*
  • Needs a movie or a Netflix show or maybe even a game 5/5

    By Blakemwyatt
When I saw this free story game I thought this was going be pretty boring despite seeing the great reviews for I’m not much of a reader. So I downloaded it mostly for it was free and I needed something to do when I died in squads on Fortnight or one playing rainbow six to help pass the time. Than I actually grew like it over time. Sometimes I would have to convince myself to read it but when I did read it I slowly started getting more interested in the story to the point I wouldn’t have to force my self no more. It became naturally. It also helps when they threw little jokes at you and give you funny response they let you have the option to say. Helps keep you entertained. My favorite part in all this has to be when he gets in the peak and... well, those who read it knows what happens there. My verdict is for this 5 of 5 for if it can capture a person like me who hates reading and it also add the reader a atmosphere of music go along capture them in moment is perfect in all situations you will encounter. All I hope is that my eyes won’t turn green from after all I read.
  • Interesting concept but 1/5

    By Terrytown78
I wanted to like this game, but the main character is so annoying and the dialogue is lame. It’s like being in contact with a bratty millennial rather than an astronaut. Couldn’t get passed the character, and that’s unfortunately a huge part of the game.

    By Littledudegamer
I really love the game. It is very realistic and I love it that way.
  • Absolutely astounding 5/5

    By Unholyfatman
This is well worth the 1.99 I was so involved with the character Taylor i didn’t think I would care but after days of compelling messages and what almost seemed like real-time banter I was attached to the character all my decisions weighed heavily on me because I knew they would affect Taylor in a negative or positive way. I look forward to the rest of the catalog which I have just purchased
  • Great game 5/5

I was listening to their podcast called Steak off and Burnie and Gus started talking about how much fun this game was so I gave it a try. I love the real time aspect of the game. I could just be looking through the phone and have notifications pop up from Taylor and get really excited. I’m starting to get really emotionally attached to this game. Great job!

I’m very attached to Taylor at this point and anxiously wait for the next part of this story any time they’re away. Definitely a worthwhile game.
  • Incredibly fantastic! 5/5

I finished this game under the ideal circumstances, on a road trip at night this game is ridiculously good, very well thought out and well programmed. what a incredible storyline two! If you're looking for A boredom buster this is a game for you. It's similar to a good book in the way that it can take you to another place in time. I loved the radiation question and near the end you can feel your heart hammering at the back of your throat and time seems to freeze. Those who give it a Bad review obviously didn't finish it. I can easily combat any complaint they make against it. And I will. People say Taylor (The protagonist) is whiny. Well I ask you how would you act if you were scared on a desert planet with seemingly no hope? Everybody likes to believe they are special and they would react calmly. but you never know until you're put in that kind of a position. Taylor reacts like any normal person would, he freaks out! That's what makes it so good. he's not some superhero immune to normal panic. And(spoiler alert) The only reason he survives is because he knows quitting would be selfish. He mans up and does what has to be done. You can't sit down and play this game for hours like minecraft that's not what this is about. instead it's for whenever you have spare time like on a road trip or when you're shopping you can whip out your phone and see what Taylor is up to. Also some folks have said there's no way for him to survive or there's only one way. That's just simply not true. They also say insulting things to the folks in charge of making this game saying it has a bad storyline. It has an amazing storyline and for crying out loud this is their first one like this and after the first little bit it gets amazing i've tried out this one and several others via The lifeline library app The only reason I haven't bought every single Lifeline it's because I don't have the money. Overall this game is so much fun it's freaky! good job lifeline team 👍🏻
  • A fun and addicting game. 4/5

    By MissWings1981
4 1/2 stars. I like this game, they were the ending was a bit unclear as to how Taylor was rescued. The real time aspect made the game friend for me, and I thought added to the realism. People who just complain are being impatient. I am curious to see how the rest of the games in the series compare to this first one, and I will most likely be played the first one over and see if the ending it makes a Little more sense.
  • I’m in awe 5/5

    By Ethnic tigger
This was the coolest game I have ever played. I originally looked up games that could be played on an Apple Watch and this game popped up! This was brilliant! I never pay for games ever! But as soon as I realized what this was I knew I had to buy and I would buy it again! In fact I’m buying the next episode right after I write this! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED!
  • Just one thing 4/5

    By Cmpbird
This game is really cool and all... but the one major problem that made me regret buying it is that you have to wait for “Taylor” to be ready for more instructions. If your an impatient person like me, it’s SUPER annoying. In my personal impatient opinion, this game is not worth it. Creators please fix.
  • Boring 1/5

To me, this app is very immersive. I feel like I am there with Taylor. I feel fear for him and myself. It is an overall great experience.
  • Oh my Goodness! 5/5

The story is written like you are actually there! I could play this story over and over! I would highly recommend this game, especially if you are into dialogue role play.

I was looking for an interesting game (I don’t browse very often) and I stumbled upon this gem and am having a blast playing it! Worth every penny of the $1.99 I paid!
  • Taylor 5/5

    By Moneyless42
I played this game while I was out of work sick. Started over the weekend and was able to finish it fairly quickly. I have got to say this was the best iPhone game I have ever played. It was suspenseful and heart wrenching as well as completely enthusiastic when things went right. Taylor has so much life and I genuinely worried and stressed about him with every turn. It was incredible, and to be honest I was sad it was over. Thank you so much it’s an amazing game and everyone should play it.
  • Borrrrrinnngggggggg ughhh 2/5

I payed for this app thinking it was actually worth my time, boy was I wrong it was so boring the guy is so dramatic and he won't stop sending you notifications it's almost overwhelming I wasted my money on this not happy
  • Amazing Game 5/5

    By aime.esor
Tbh I see a lot of games they try to execute this kind of format but this really takes the cake. Ima keep is short and sweet, I love this game a lot it really helped my hone in on my intuition and thinking about the future. I'm not sure if I do have a good intuition or am good at thinking about consequences, but I saved him on my first try playing and I'm v proud of myself. Thank you for developing this game because it's a masterpiece.

If there was a text size option this would be perfect
  • Will be playing the sequels 4/5

    By Nik625
Update: it's a clever concept, but I don't think there were enough real "choice"... Unlike the original Choose Your Own Adventure books, where there really were multiple outcomes. The choices sort of tunnel towards a good outcome. That being said, it's still a fun game on the Apple Watch, with updates coming in real time. I will play the sequels and hope the storylines get better. I am in the middle of playing this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-esque game on my Apple Watch. Having a good time. I live the real time aspect to the game. I'll definitely be playing the sequels. Hats off to the developers for paving the way for a whole new subcategory of games for the Apple Watch!
  • I love this game!!! 5/5

    By Kdkjdk
This game is amazing. I’ve played it several times and beaten it. I love the characters and story line in this game. I just wish i could get the rest if I wasn’t so poor.
  • Anticipation - The Game 5/5

This game constantly keeps you on your toes and forces you to believe only what is told to you. I love it.
  • Boring! 1/5

    By Charles426
I found myself trying to kill the guy myself.
  • Not great 2/5

    By Shake&Bake88
The storyline is weak, unoriginal and too short. The dialogue is very juvenile; much like a teen novel. The choice of responses are often the same as each other, require little problem-solving and / or are illogical, and I suspect that the player’s choices rarely actually impact the outcome of the story. The anti-climatic ending also attempts to coerce you into signing up to receive ads for further games. Overall, not quite sure why this is so popular!
  • Beast game 5/5

I don’t even have words for this game.Wait yes I do .Amazing.this game is sick I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
  • Interesting game, but 4/5

    By Yanlina81
I like the unusual style of the game, but I really think it would be so much better if it included occasional photo and video messages from Taylor, it would be a more immersive experience. So far, this game is intended for people who like to read only.
  • Great story 4/5

    By Hrairy
I loved this game. I like the character and the interaction you have with him. The only complaint that I have is that the game is too short. For the price, I think it should have been twice as long. It’s not as if I am paying for amazing graphics or anything like that. A simple text game could and should be cheaper or take longer to finish playing. I would not have purchased the bundle if I had realized how short it would be.
  • Such a cool idea 4/5

    By Sendian82
I actually really enjoyed this, but the way messages come in one sentence at a time like a text message from those friends who think they need to send it word by word REALLY triggered my anxiety levels. Nothing... nothing... then a virtual tsunami of notifications flooding my phone. It made me crazy. I’m all for realism, but Taylor is an awful person. :p Outside of that, I loved it.
  • iOS 11 problems 3/5

    By shway24
Can’t play in Notification Center in IOS11. Would be very very happy if this was fixed.
  • Just wow 4/5

    By lame-lord
It’s funny, whenever I see glowingly positive reviews on iPhone apps I usually think they’re paid for and not actually indicative of the quality of the game. For Lifeline I now completely believe the reviews are true. I’ve never been a mobile gamer or even reviewed an app but I bought Lifeline on a whim and played it for a while. It took me by surprise. It’s an amazingly written and enjoyable game, quality I would expect from a full console/PC game. The immersion in this game is wild. The real time mechanic might turn some off but fortunately you’re provided a function to disable the real time to skip over plot branches you’ve followed before. The pauses are placed really well to build suspense. You don’t get them placed arbitrarily to extend playtime, they’re always for dramatic effect and immersion. And even then toward the climax of the game the long pauses vanish so you get to experience the action all at once and aren’t let down by pacing. The plot is pretty good, it’s definitely written and told well although not completely flawless, honestly the first 3/4 of the game is aimless build up with enormous amounts of foreshadowing but very little action or intrigue. Regardless, I still managed to get the main character injured early on, so there’s still impact in your choices in the beginning. The only big issue is that the game starts with long pauses (I don’t mind) and very slow world building and all of the action and real “plot” comes through in the climax, which only lasts maybe 20 minutes if you’re only playing the game. Really, other reviews may exaggerate how much your choices impact the game. But it’s done in a reasonable way, sometimes you’re given a choice and the main character will go against it (but thou must, Zelda style) but only because your suggestions are dumb or will obviously hurt them. Maybe it’s bad to give the option in the first place, but hey, it’s pretty realistic and sometimes even a bit of comic relief. So yeah, the game isn’t perfect but it’s still an amazing experience, the best I’ve had from a mobile game. Really, I never expected this level of quality from any mobile game ever. Maybe this long drawn out review looks like either shilling or being a paid promoter but nah, I’m dead serious about the quality of this game. Hopefully other people will be willing to drop the very reasonable sum of money on the game and get a lot to think about from it. All in all, 4.5/5, I just can’t give it a .5, and rounding up would imply the game is perfect. So yeah, it’s okay I guess.
  • Good story 5/5

    By xmarc999
Not really a game but rather interactive fiction. So this is all about the story. In making choices, you become part of the story, very aware that the wrong choice can be made. Very good.
  • Dis game cool 5/5

Can you please update lifeline series to support the iPhone X display.
  • I love the game 5/5

I love lifeline but in my opinion Taylor takes way to long to respond... but i still love the game!
  • Not working well with Apple Watch 1/5

    By Nick1857
This app used to be great and always worked. I recently got myself and a friend the new Apple watch series 3, and the app just loads forever. If it does pull up the questions to answer, choosing the answer will not "stick". This needs an update
  • Great concept, bad writing 2/5

    By 9 inch
I love the concept of this game, it reminds me of the choose your own adventure books I used to read as a kid. However, the writing here is really bad. The jokes are terrible, the story is weak and a lot of the choices you make are meaningless. For example there are several times where you have to choose between “what happened?” and “are you alright?”. I’m guessing that the raving reviews come from people who never read a good sci fi story, because this isn’t one.
  • Awesome game!!!!!!😆😆😆😆 5/5

    By R.L.G123
I love it! I couldn't wait for Taylor to get back to me! Whenever I would have a brake in school (I'm home schooled) or dance I would check him!!!! After dinner I would literally run up to my room and get right on my phone and answer his questions! It has an amazing storyline! It definitely answered all my questions! It has an amazing twist! I LOVE IT!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
