LinkedIn: Network & Job Search app reviews

  • Yuck 1/5

    By Integrity Review
Ads, upsells, click-bait and lame “classes” all slow down and interrupt your conversations. Oh I spoke to their mobile team, and they admitted it’s ad impressions and daily click interactions that matter most. Premium is a total waste-even more ads, nags and spam. Did someone in your network get tricked into uploading your private address so they can spam and sell it as a feature to advertisers? Were you that person? This app makes me so sad.
  • Payment for basic search function 1/5

    By kimmythu
LinkedIn has set a number of people you are allowed to search per month. The number is not told to you and you are not warned about said limit. You will be told you have maxed out and can pay for more views with commercial access - premium will not cover this basic search functionality. When asked, LinkedIn will not provide the limit and a warning will only be given once limit has been reached. Major scam for basic functionality.
  • Password reset break my app 1/5

    By tickTok88
I reset my password from other device but still my one of device is allowed me to login and when I sign out for that Device, it was hang on screen. Need check seriously.
  • Crash 1/5

    By wyokid7
Just updated and now it crashes when I scroll through pics. Also would be nice if you could sort by most recent instead of whatever LinkedIn thinks is best. Gets old seeing the same stuff everyday.
  • Ridiculous security requirements 1/5

    By Big apple 300
For a professional person networking app, the requirement of security check during login is ridiculous. Need password, robot check, and still need to do verification email check. Who will always have email access? I deleted the app
  • No value at all for the subscription price 1/5

    By LWayne777
Buyer beware, subscription auto renewals are NOT refundable under any option. Terrible customer service experience. Never again.
  • Crashes! 2/5

    By ClemsonTigers2286
Crashes when I try to scroll through photos on a post!
  • Screwed up renewal 1/5

    By AndrewTxGregg
Charged without consent. Impossible to get ahold of anyone to work out. Trash.
  • Mobile app routinely does not load pages 1/5

    By BobHolman
80 to 90% of the time, when I click a link in email or even just try navigating around within in the app, the app is unable to load the page. I either get a “no internet connection,” which isn’t true, or an “oops it’s us not you, try again” (trying again is no help). This has been happening for at least a year.
  • Profile photo troubles 1/5

    By Reviewer1025
I have tried 15 times to upload my professionally taken photo as my profile pic, and each time, LinkedIn distorts the colors of my photo making it oversaturated, nearly all black. I’ve look for a way to contact customer service about this but also could not find anything except basic search arrived. Oh well, looks like no profile photo for me.
  • Can’t search people in company 1/5

    By Bathtub Chicken
Can’t search people in company, can’t do certain functions that the site offers.
  • Falla aplicación 2/5

  • No remote work. Spam, and junk listings. 1/5

    By Mrtonyd
For the largest media fount of "The Gig Economy" Propaganda. There are surprisingly few remote opportunities on Linkedin.com. There is literally no support for FINDING local jobs. The recruiters are from consultancy agencies that want to ship you all over the country. Every job is a bait and switch. The job descriptions are too long. Employers pretend the job descriptions are contracts. There are no salaries listed on 90% of the applications. If not for money, THEN what am I applying for? Software jobs are especially shady on here. In two years of looking for work 3 companies have wanted me to agree to the "poison pill" where if you leave before 2 years is over you owe them "$20,000". That is just not legal. Out of 20 companies I have contacted 3 took me to their website where not only did I have to submit a real resume in a pdf or Word .docx, but I also had to spend 30min filling out that same information on their website. When there was a place to upload my cover letter there was no way to save my application and come back. Of the companies that did ask me in to interview, some hiring managers even asked me what my salary range was. NOW, you know IF you ask me my salary range and I do not get the job, I am GOING to blame you for making me feel safe in revealing that information. Even though I declined a few times during our conversation. NO means NO! Linkedin premium is the most worthless service you could ever imagine. A guy once told me he would "stand in a bucket of crap for $30/hr" Well, Linkedin Premium is the bucket of crap that you pay for in monthly recurring payments. When you cancel and get endlessly nudged to try it again; SOMEHOW, your settings to decline recurring subscriptions get reset. Linkedin is a serious racket. Linkedin.com is just a shakedown operation for anyone looking for a job or even a better job. It's facebook for desperate job seekers. Probably desperate business owners as well.
  • App won’t load anything 1/5

    By Nomi M
Every time I try to go into the app it won’t load and keeps giving error message and asks me to retry. I have tried everything (signing out and signing back in, deleting the app and reloading ) but nothing works. Really disappointed that it stopped working.
  • DO I HAVE TO GIVE THIS CRAP A STAR? 1/5

    By Mr Ethical
AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! Linked In for iPad update does not work...gets stuck! Please fix it!
  • Cannot save my location- error 2/5

    By UMAppleMan
I moved from a major population area a year ago. My wife has been pushing me to find a job. This app refuses to save MY preferences or location information which would make it easier for me to use this app. I keep getting recommendations for areas nowhere near to where I live. I am retired and would prefer to NOT travel more than 30 minutes from our home. We are a ONE car family because that is all we have needed for the last 10 years. So fix this app so I can save my location and driving Preferences. This is required and I cannot be the only one with this issue.

  • It works...when it wants to. 3/5

    By kayzimmers
I wish I could attach a screenshot. I have been a fan of LinkedIn since the beginning but have always been annoyed by its lackluster quirks. One of the things that annoys me most is the mobile app. For example, right now I am on an iPhone XR and I cannot reach my search bar or any of the buttons at the top. I hope the developers see this.
  • Impossible to use with iPhone XR 1/5

    By Krogerman69
The top bar is completely inaccessible due to the way the XR sides function, moreover the search part is obliterated by the front camera
  • Fix the broken notifications 1/5

    By Athorn805
Multiple daily “Contact” notifications prompted by nothing: no new contact, no new requests. Clears initially and reappears within minutes. Aggravating.
  • Worse and worse every time 1/5

    By Cottandy
Please enlighten me how you guys are able to reverse improve an app like this with every update. Can’t even find activities, my posts anymore, and website never update instructions based on the new app version. Please, for the love of all things useful, stop updating your app.

  • LinkedIn stopped working 1/5

While looking at LinkedIn today, I noticed that no ones pictures are appearing, nor the posted images in the feed. I have reset my phone, turned off and on WiFi and updated the app and it’s still log working properly . Please fix
  • All images broken. 1/5

    By ivnosliwb
Latest update broke all images (including profile images). No way to send this feedback within app (or it’s hidden) so leaving feedback here.
  • Upload Profile Image Failuer 2/5

    By fixtheappagain
Have tried to upload a profile image 4x and it won't save. Fail.
  • Same problem as the person who wrote the last review 1/5

    By Ancient Futures
I have repeatedly wrote to your company that the the jobs they send to me have nothing to do with the services I offer . I own a cabinet / woodworking shop and solicit for jobs for people to hire my established company to make custom items for people to order. All I get from LinkedIn are offers to work for other company’s that have nothing to do with the jobs and business I’m already offering.
  • The Basics Simply Don’t Work 1/5

    By Douglas Karr
Trying to update my position title, locations, and note to recruiters and the app just errors. LinkedIn help is useless, telling me to uninstall and reinstall the app... NOT a solution. If recruiting and placement is the foundation of this platform, it’s not working. It’s absolutely frustrating to do all the entries, click save, and then all your updates are gone with an error. Uninstalled.
  • How do you “quit” Linked In? 1/5

    By Cunnning29
I found a new job during my free trial period of the LinkedIn app, and I’m grateful. However, I couldn’t figure out how to discontinue the app before the trial period ended, so I was charged nearly $70 for the next month! I hadn’t worked since May and I haven’t gotten paid yet in my new job, so this really hurts financially. Just be sure you know how to get Linked Out before you get LinkedIn!

  • LinkedIn App Crashes 3/5

    By Micmcl
The app worked great but the latest update has caused the app to crash numerous times. I’d be happy to give five stars once this issue has been resolved.
  • Crash 3/5

    By Son Sai Gon 18
This version of Linked app for IOS something crashes without notice. Hopefully the team be noticed for a better Linked app for IOS. Thanks for making a great social network.
  • Overall Great Apy 4/5

    By Tom2072
Overall LinkedIn’s app is great; At present the thing I don’t like is to many steps just to logout- there should a faster method to logout
  • Premium Subscription 1/5

    By Nani1029384756
I did a free month trial, but I don’t need to have Premium since I’m almost never on LinkedIn. They billed me a fat $30 something without warning me and refuse to give a refund. I was infuriated when finding the cancel option took me a good 3 hours to find, almost like they hide it on purpose. I am very dissatisfied and disgusted with LinkedIn and I will never use it again.
  • Great Platform; Lack of Linkedin Support 4/5

    By Cherrand
I have been on the Network for many years and enjoy it for the most part. What I don’t enjoy is the lack of support by LinkedIn when reporting site issues or tech complaints. Many of my thousands of connections also express the same frustration. There are spammers running rampant, posts that violate the terms of use and in direct message, the creepiest of the creepers who habitually pester women. Time to be accountable LinkedIn..you made the rules...but don’t do much when reports are made.
  • Pretty decent 4/5

    By 123456789039
Pretty decent app, the only problems are that if you view a job once it will automatically start recommending a bunch of similar jobs even if it is in no way related to anything you do and that it keeps recommending I connect with my dead grandma and doesn’t seem to give an option to disable either of those functions.
  • Time waster 1/5

    By ux boogie
I find LinkedIn to be difficult. It’s an Ocean of applicants and many do not have close connections. I’m tired of spending so much on LinkedIn with out results
  • Applied Jobs don’t show 4/5

    By Sumeron
I’ve applied for two jobs through LinkedIn and neither show in the “applied jobs” section. This is frustrating Bc it would be a great way to stay organized in one app but it doesn’t work. Yes I used LinkedIn to apply. All through the app and nothing.
  • Ron Caponi 5/5

Belinda is great at what she does!
  • App not working 1/5

    By Wicked Lemonade
My LinkedIn app once opened, immediately closes when tapped. This began on July 4th holiday and continued today. I deleted the app and reloaded it and there is still an issue. Please advise. Typically, the app is 5 stars but I am only giving it a one star because it is no longer functioning properly. I have the iPhone XS Max. Thank you
  • What BS? 1/5

    By Caged ape
I mistakenly got the app and signed up. Now, after unsubscribing many times, I keep getting this crap. Let me out!!!
  • Endless update cycle 1/5

    By igorgo
I use an iPad and the recent version of the LinkedIn app is requiring an update. When I tried to update it stays Open (does not let me update), I select Open to go into the App, and it prompts me to update without letting me use the app, and the cycle repeats. Basically the latest update broke the app and I cannot use it anymore. I understand that LinkedIn (Microsoft) is always looking to enhance and improve the app, but it should not include breaking backwards compatibility and if the plan to discontinue support for a certain version of iOS - it should be clearly communicated to the user...
  • Can’t log in 1/5

    By TeamTiger01
The app won’t even let me log in. It just says “something went wrong. Please try again” then I try again and it says “Authentication already in progress”.
  • Great resource 5/5

    By EmergentP
It’s really nice having a place that integrates networking with job searches and interesting links. This is to a professional what reddit is to a young adult. The biggest issue is the overwhelming reality of how many companies are looking for people with your skill set.
  • App worked fine until this update 1/5

    By hellachels
Now it won’t load and keeps making you sign in over and over
  • Failure to load feed 1/5

    By SeanV67
Since Microsoft bought LinkedIn, the app has been broken. It’s too bad you can’t upload screenshots here to show what bad programming looks like.
  • Can’t log in 1/5

    By jlc728
After multiple attempts, I removed the app from my phone (again), because every time I try to log in it says “it’s not you” and I can’t do anything. So this app is useless to me at this point. I have tried to reload it, log in and out, and it’s just not working at all.
  • New update stinks 1/5

    By JLI322
Nowhere to search for jobs anymore !
  • Could Not Sign In. 1/5

    By Hiram Román
After multiple attempts to sign in. I have given up. Every time I type in my email and password, it tells me “no internet connection”. This is impossible, because I am on full strength WiFi. I restarted my phone, and uninstalled the app and reinstalled it as well.
  • Two Accounts with different email addresses gone 2/5

    By MsSonya
I set up my account years ago now there is two accounts of which I can’t remove and the one I opened I can’t get into. Just frustrated with this.
