Pop ups 1/5
I used to love the app—until the pop up notifications started. Several in a row. Every day. On my watch, too. Yes, I can turn off all notifications, but any app developer who thinks this is appropriate is unacceptable in my eyes. I deleted the app.
Gain Control 5/5
By Unwilling Exerciser
I have never had much success dieting. I lost six pounds in the first stage of the Mayo Clinic diet. But there were just too many things to keep track of in the second stage. It was just too overwhelming. Lose It to the rescue. I don’t have to calculate my BMI to figure out how many calories to eat in a day. No weighing food. Lose it tells you how many calories to eat, and encourages exercise by giving bonus calories to eat when you do manage to get up and move. I’ve lost twelve pounds in six weeks. I no longer feel overwhelmed by the whole dieting thing thanks to Lose It. The feeling of control over losing weight is exhilarating. And not feeling strangled by tight pants feels great too. Give it a try for just two weeks and you’ll be hooked.
Great app 5/5
This app has helped me stay motivated, has excellent graphs and analysis that complement areas for improvement to achieve goals. Meals, exercise, social, messages. Is really good
Removing food 5/5
A great site but why can’t I remove food from the My Food list
Amazing app. 5/5
Love this app. Been using this app for four weeks now. Been serious about losing weight and exercising. I’ve lost 6 pounds so far by using this app to show my calorie intake. Love being able to use it at restaurants as well. I can truly see what is best for me to eat. Great app if you are serious about losing weight.
The real deal on weight loss! 5/5
By ATL Mary W.
This app allowed me to simplify my approach to getting back on track with my weight.
I recently noticed that this post-holiday pounds weren’t going away and I was worried. Could this be an unavoidable part of middle age, I wondered. I tried to cut back, but it wasn’t helping.
This app allowed me to approach weight loss like a simple math problem. I entered everything I ate, it calculated the calories and provided guidance. It also made me realize that I wasn’t exercising as much as I had previously. That motivated me to get moving more.
It’s helping me lose the extra pounds! I feel great and I’m going to keep doing the things that are helping, so I’m confident that I’ll reach my goal.
This helps me keep myself honest about monitoring what goes in my mouth, it makes me more aware of what I am eating & how much, thanks!🤗
Lose it 5/5
Helps you focus on calorie intake and be more aware of particular foods you eat. It’s accurate with different food products calorie count. User friendly app.

This is a very good app, it helps me stay on my diet. If you haven't up graded to the premium, you are not getting the full attention inwhich your diet desperately need.

I have to close and reopen the app three or four times every day because it freezes. Please fix
I like this app to help my wellness 4/5
By Old guy62
I have been using Lose It! for a few years, and find that logging is good. It gives me immediate feedback on calories, fat, sodium, sugar, protein, etc. to help me make better food choices and learn how to adjust my choices.
By logging I'm more aware of what I eat and drink and how to control portions too. I also use it sometimes to plan my menu choices BEFORE I go to a restaurant to control impulsiveness.
I also like logging exercise to see the effect of of my choices on my daily diet budget, although I learned that the negative calories I get from exercise is not one-to-one on the net total.
The Goals section helps me track how I’m doing towards achieving my goals for weight, steps, sleep, nutrition, etc. I can see my progress and celebrate milestones.
I give this app thumbs up and 4 stars! The only negative is that it’s sometimes slow to load my food and beverage choices, especially in search menu. But I still recommend that you try it. Logging is a good discipline for wellness!
Love it! 5/5
This could not be easier to accurately enter the data!
Great app for tracking food and exercise 5/5
Scanning food is easy plus app has a memory of prior foods and exercises you’ve put in. Lost 30 lbs and am now maintaining it.
This really works 5/5
I have been using Lose It for almost two years. If you are true to it and honestly record your calories it will help you lose or maintain weight. Exercise will be entered when you attach your AppleWatch or FitBit or whichever you use. You can also add in your own exercise, if you don’t have a AppleWatch etc...
The community is very supportive as well.
Too confusing and doesnt sync up to apps 1/5

Too confusing and doesnt sync up to apps
Siri Shortcuts, Watch widgets, and constant updates 5/5
After looking into a few different calorie tracking apps, I honestly think this one is the best. On top of the large catalog of verified food and meal recommendations, I appreciate Lose It actually taking the time to develop new features. I was surprised to find MyFitnessPal hasn’t done much with the Apple Watch after being on the market for years. There are no watch complications, quick calorie logging, or logging with Siri. Lose It provides the benefit of having an expansive catalog and community, while making more improvements and features over time.
Great app 5/5
It is not only helping me lose the weight, but also helping me keep tract of my Type 2 Diabetes! I’ve had to go into the notes section and that’s where I log my Blood Sugar Levels for that day, might look into adding a section just for tracking ones Blood Sugar Levels. Other than that, great app!!
Easy to use 5/5
What a great way to follow your daily calorie intake. Lost 9 pounds in one week.
Great app! Love it! Highly recommended 5/5
I can see where all the extra calories come from (wine😬). The data base is fabulous - havent found anything missing yet. Must stick with it.
Works wonders for me 5/5
By dol 51
Been on this for 385 consecutive days. The journaling of my calories helps keep me on track.
Best app for weight loss 5/5
This app has helped me to be successful in weight loss each time I have used it. My weight fluctuates up and down by 15 lbs. the weight comes back when I don’t use the app. It forces me to be mindful of what I am eating and how much. Portion control, food selection. I like how it tallies the left over calories, so you can have a splurge here and there.
App works great 5/5
Easy to use. Almost every food is in here or can be scanned. Awesome app
Slowly but surely !!! 5/5
By Yoga hat
I’m trying to take off 10 or more lbs I have gained since starting a medication known to cause weight gain. I’ve only been using this app for a week; tracking my food intake and exercise activity. The app has helped me to be more mindful of what I’m putting in my body and I’ve inched down the scale already!! Easy and friendly app. Highly recommend
The Loose it App has helped me stay on track with the amount of calories I’m in taking everyday and also fat, carbs, and protein to slowly have a continuous weight loss!!
Love this app 5/5
I’ve been using the app for three months now and I’ve lost over 20lbs. I love counting my Macros, keeps me on track.
Love it 5/5
I have been using lose it for 3 months and I love that it is easy to plug in my meals throughout the day. To date I have lost 15lbs.
Very easy to use!!
I set my initial weight incorrectly. I was able to change it in the girl section of the app. But none of the other computations were changed. How do I do that?
Good weight loss app 5/5
This is a great weight loss app. It’s a calorie counter and tracks daily food intake, along with daily activity. It takes very little time to enter the information. I find that I don’t feel food deprived or even hungry. I have been steadily loosing weight since I started using this app.
Great App 5/5
By Dr. AB1
This app is so helpful in getting me to achieve my goal weight. I am finally able to note why I’ve had such a difficult time losing 20lbs. Documenting all food intake and the calories of each item has been eye-opening. I highly recommend if you are ready to commit to honestly counting all calories and remaining with the recommended daily calorie count. The pounds will eventually shed especially with a low to moderate exercise regimen.

I rarely review apps & products, cuz I mean, ain’t nobody got time for that. But the truly life changing things like this app I make sure the world knows. This is the easiest calorie app out there. I’ve used it for years and I’ve even tried other apps, this is by far the best. You won’t regret it!
Super Helpful 5/5
I’m a dancer and I noticed how I was piling on pounds. This app has helped me keep track of what I’m putting in my body and has aided me in shedding the weight again! I’ve lost most of the extra weight I’ve put on through this app. I feel happier, more energetic, and healthier overall. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in making a physical change.
Recipe editing needed 3/5
For those who eat out at mom and pop restaurants the recipe features are a must. Creating a recipe is simple but editing or deleting a recipe seems to be impossible. These should be options that are easy to get to by swiping left on a recipe.
Very well written App 5/5
I had written a long treatise concerning this app, and then iTunes timed me out before I could post it! So in re-writing, I just want to say that many of the prior posts are wrong about limitations. For example: you can indeed see DAILY as well as WEEKLY summaries of all nutrients (carbs, fats, etc). You can indeed ENTER in custom foods all nutrients (you do need to set a preference). Finally, tracking weight in 1/10th pound increments is just not necessary. You are just fooling yourself if you consider a .2lb weight loss significant... it isn't. Whole number weight tracking is more then appropriate...
This app is the best out there for tracking key nutritional information AND to help keep you "on-task" to meet your dietary goals. Just download it and explore it for yourself! You won't be sorry!!
1. Sync, and the ability to export/import custom food lists - that way users can share lists
2. More organic brands in the base database
3. Put the % Carbs/ %Protein / %Fat in the MEAL HEADERS (ie Breakfast: 416 cal, 42% carb, 28% pro, 33% fat). This information is highly useful (see more info concerning the Zone diet aka 40:30:30 eating method). THIS REQUESTED FEATURE is the most essential in my opinion.
4. In a manner similar to what is already done for DAY and WEEK (ie Nutrient Summary), make a MEAL BASED summary as well (ie list all of the nutrients as listed currently under the "Nutrients" tab (accessed via the "My Day" button) available for any given meal.
As a physician who has been integrating advanced dietary recommendations into my practice, I intend to use this app extensively and recommend it to my patients. With the integration of the 40:30:30 information (suggestion #3), this app is ideal. 4 stars which will be changed to 5 stars once the 40:30:30 information is integrated!!!!
Great job with this app....
The study is true! 5/5
I think it’s vol 25 of Obesity that had a study that said even sloppy calorie counting helps to lose weight, which is why I started doing this app (that, and my dad is down 16 pounds and my brother down about 25 with this app). This app makes you really look at your food choices, and even though I thought I had an idea of what and how much I was eating, I was soooooo wrong!
I’m down about 9 pounds after a little more than 3 weeks, and my 30 pound weight loss goal seems pretty easy now. It may take a few weeks for your body to adjust, especially if you’ve cut your caloric intake by 65% like I did. I’m still doing the free app, but with the success I’m seeing, I’ll probably buy the premium as a thank you to Lose It!
Loose it 5/5
I love this application! Very easy to use and it makes you aware of how much you eat!
This app is a game changer! 4/5
We love this app! It is an asset to our new healthy eating plan, giving us the resources to stay on top of what we’re eating.
I can only give four stars because we are choosing not to pay for premium features.
Great app, keep me on track and accountable love love......
Great app. 5/5
Very helpful and easy to use. I like the wide variety of pre entered food data from restaurants.
Keeping a record of your food is easy 5/5
Noting what you eat is important if you want to stick to a diet. This app helps you do that
I've tried every diet EXCEPT counting calories. I've lost 23 pounds in 2 months. Excellent app!

The insights have helped me tremendously and I love the recipe part of the app.
I appreciate how easy it is to use this sight. I will keep going & review again later
The best 5/5
The best application for tracking food and exercise. I use it long time and I love it.
Good App 4/5
I like the App because it tracks my steps with my phone and automatically logs it and then it gives me credit towards my food I’m tracking for the day. Downside, when I look up food from restaurants, it doesn’t have all the food in its app. I then have to search separately for the sandwich or drink I had.
I do like the reminders about logging in.
I also can enter my own recipes when I cook at home.
