    So this app is great without even buying the premium. I will say it’s got an extensive food data base and the capabilities of making your own recipe. It makes it easy to track your calories. This being said.. it is time consuming. But it makes you so aware of what is going on and it helps you recognize your portions! I recommend this app. I lost 3 lbs in 4 days! Safely

    I absolutely love this app! I love the ease of it and the fact that I can update my day so easily! The only thing I’m upset about is that I feel like they tricked me. You’ll be asked if you want to upgrade to premium and you’re gonna see that it’s $3.99 per month. The problem is that they charge you for the whole year at once! Same price in the end, but I may not use it for a whole year because I’m deploying soon. So basically I just threw $40 down the drain.

    I feel manipulated. I can no longer even change my weight goal without paying. When I originally got the app hat was free. It’s so sad to see them taking away to manipulate users to pay rather than just adding on.

    I signed up for this app and almost immediately started getting at least 20 spam emails a day. Very annoying since I never had many issues with spam. Months later, it’s still going on. I spend every night blocking email addresses but to no avail. Coincidence? Maybe, but wish I had put a different email address.

    Until recently, if I went a little over my calorie budget, but still was on track to lose weight, I’d still get a reassuring message telling me how many days it would take to hit my goal. Now, it says, “everybody has a bad day now and then.” I get that message six days a week, which gets depressing day after day. If I make progress, why give me a message reminding me that I missed my goal? I get the same message if I’m 10 calories over budget (and losing weight) as I do if I’m 1000 calories over (and gaining a couple of pounds a week. That’s dumb. Since they added this flaw, I’ve stopped losing weight and have gained three pounds. The developer promised a fix, but until then, I’m moving to another app. As of the May 8 update, they still haven’t fixed it. I’m test driving SparkPeople, and so far, I think it’s better than Loseit with this recent design flaw.

    Using Lose it! has been an eye opening way for me to learn about how much I am actually eating on a day-to-day basis and facing the fact that all the exercise in the universe won’t negate how many calories I actually love to guzzle. I really like the barcode scan feature for adding foods. I synch it with Runkeeper and my FitBit with no problems. This app will by my accountability partner for the rest of my journey to get healthier. Don’t ever give up trying, folks.

    Incredibly helpful! Life changing actually. I’ve been yo-yo dieting my entire life. Finally I’ve found a tool that’s been a giant help in overcoming that! Knowledge is power. And this app is full of the knowledge I need to stay motivated and on track.

    The user interface could do with some rationalizing. Grey buttons imply inactive and buttons are not universally the same color. But by far my biggest gripe is lack of support for the 12 and 10 iPad Pros. Overall the app is very usable on an iPhone. I have been using it for years and the database of foods is what really makes it work. So aside from my gripes with the UI and lack of support for Apple TOTL devices, this is a great app for tracking eating habits.

    This app does not connect with Fitbit, even though it says it does. I’ve been trying for over 3 days to get these two to work together & they don’t. Leaving this and going back to My Fitness Pal. 😞😞😞 Very disappointed in this app.

    I love the app but I am not fond of the food logs new bar graph on top which is annoying. Sometimes less is more. I wish you had the option to turn it off in the log. I just want to see the caloric numbers not a a flying graph going across the screen. I did find that it was less annoying in certain themes. Good thing I can use my kindle instead of this iPhone app.

    I normally LOVE this app. However I installed the update yesterday and now I only get a blank screen. I am in the middle of a pretty rigorous macro diet and have been dependent on this so I can meet my goals. I’m clearly very disappointed about this latest update. Fix it!

    This app is very user friendly. Keeps me focused and on track. Helps keep me aware of calories and is a great self-control method. Just love it. The only way I think it could be greatly improved would be to make it voice activated so the user doesn’t have to type things in. But just the way it is now is fine for me.

    LoseIt! makes it so easy to track your calories, and it’s inspirational too. Everyday after you log it gives you a date of when you are projected to meet your goal based on how well you did that day, very motivating! And the interface is so easy to use, I love the little food symbols, it’s a nice touch. I’ve lost close to 15 pounds in my first two months! I’ve been telling everyone about this app!

    It’s easy to add foods and there is a wide variety of foods. Not very user friendly when adding exercise events. I hike and cannot add in any elevation changes. Additionally, I don’t see a place to add any medical conditions that may impact calorie burn. I’d like to see a few more free options. What does the grey color represent in the macronutrients section?

    It works great if you’re on a diet according to lose it. But it doesn’t account if you’re on an Atkins diet or Keto. It does offer more options than an Atkins diet which does not let me put in my weight so I wish they would accommodate something besides their own idea of a diet plan.

    This is the perfect app to track calories and macros. I love how easy it is to enter in food items! You can just scan the barcode. It also saves your food and knows what you eat regularly. I started tracking my calories and macros two weeks ago and have lost 3 pounds so far. It's something that I can stick with. I highly recommend using Lose It!

    I love this has “themes” that are colorful, which makes it more fun to use. My Fitness Pal app is nice also but it’s so plan and boring to look at. This app is way way better! Keeps me motivated. I’ve lost almost 5lbs in the last 3 weeks and I could not have done it without this app! Thanks!

    This application helps me focus on losing weight. Tracking your food intake and subsequent weight loss is very similar to Weight Watchers. For me it’s meant being more mindful of my eating habits and moving more so that it shows up on the graph provided. Also great if you are eating out since many restaurant choices you might find are included!

    Before Loose It switched from guiding me through weight loss to body fat ratio...and wanting me to purchase their scale, I loved this app. Since I recently purchased an expensive weight scale, I don’t want to purchase another scale just to make use of the app. Sigh. If you are into ratio rather that weight loss this is the app for you.

    Being a Type 1 diabetic, the app would really benefit from having a field for blood glucose readings before and after each meal as well as insulin units taken. Would rate this app with 5 STARS. (10 if it would let me). Please feel free to contact me for input and also if these suggestions can be added. It would be great to have a one stop app to track nutritional and medicinal information.     I tried to lose weight for years with no success. My doctor recommended this app to me. Two years later I am addicted and have reached my goal of losing 50 pounds. The app is an eye opener and I could not have done it on my own. My previous review is below. This app, recommended to me by my doctor, has helped me to lose 30 pounds. Certainly my own motivation has helped, but the app, if you are honest, makes it easy to know how many calories you are consuming and how many you should consume every day to meet your weight loss goals. Many foods and calorie counts are there, and you can take pictures of bar codes of those not included. I have had less success with the in app purchase of fitness programs, as I can't get any sound on them. But this is easy to use and nothing else I tried worked for me.
