I’ve been using Lose It since 2009 (?), a long time, but I don’t use it every day all year. I pick it up again when I start to get out of whack with my eating; it’s perfect for reminding me what food is for. I think of it as relationship help with food! Recently I got back to it to help me make a transition from rowing 3x a week to not rowing at all. I didn’t want to gain weight so I used Lose It to monitor my eating habits. It really helped and I look great despite the loss of burning an extra 4000 cal a week. I love how it remembers my meals so I can load regulars easily. And the have exercise types that cover all my activities. It’s a great tool. Highly recommended.

Lose It! has become my daily trusted companion to manage my diet and exercise. The app is continually improved with a manageable frequency of updates. The personal technical support that I have used a couple of times was also impressive.
Loose It! Is obviously built for the user and is not a marketing tool for other met merchandise. A truly great app well compatible with Apple Health on iOS and watchOS.

After a bout with angina, I decided it was time to get serious with my diet. I had the free version of the App for some time, but now I bought the pro version since I needed to track nutrients and salt. It worked like a charm. I put in my “Heart Healthy” recipes and track everything. I couldn’t be happier.

I use the free version, and so far I’ve lost 9 pounds. I’m very happy with that. But posting the food should be easier. I sometimes eat the same thing I posted before, but the ap rarely remembers it. I’d like to start typing and see the same food on the suggestion list. The ap treats it like a new food every time. I’m getting tired of that.

This app is the real deal. I was never a big calorie counter but I knew I needed to start in order to drop some pounds and start some healthy eating. Super easy to work. Gives you an ideal goal. Has soooo many food options already saved so you don’t have to guess how many calories you’re actually eating. Even takes in to account your exercise. Totally worth the click.

Super easy app. No excuses. Takes seconds to log your food and the numbers don’t lie. Not even one week in and I am down four pounds!! As much as we hate to log our food intake, it’s more important to watch the calories than to run 22 miles a week. Together = perfect combo. I can’t wait to see me on May 28. 🎉🎉

A friend of my mine who is a personal trainer and nutritionist recommended the app to me.
This app has helped me become aware of what I eat. I found patterns that is making it easier to loose weight. I realized that if I eat between 400 and 500 calories for breakfast, I don’t overeat at night.
I am also more motivated to exercise because then I can eat a little more that day and feel more satisfied.
I used to be in a cycle of feast and famine, which meant that I would forget to eat or ignore my hunger for days and then completely overeat over the weekends because I was starving. This app has helped me balance my diet and eating patterns. I am steadily loosing weight every week.

Sometimes all you need is to know how much you’re eating. I lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks and it is because I’m dedicated of staying under the calories allowed. I realize things I thought were healthy are not. I pass up cookies and brownies a lot easier now. Good luck and stay focused.

Updates are not always a good thing 1/5
Used this app religiously for a long time. Then did an update and it’s been downhill ever since. It won’t let me upgrade to premium and each time I tried the price changed. Two thumbs down now! Can’t even submit review. Save your energy on an app that works.

Eighteen months of recording physical activity and calories consumption made me disciplined at every thing I eat. I never go to fast foods anymore because one meal is 2/3 of my daily allotted caloric limit. And, no big meals. It took a while but now I fully understand this discipline to watch everything I eat and record. Only exercise allows me to eat more and control my weight. I dropped my weight, feel great, more competitive in my activity. Very pleased. 1600 calories was my daily goal. Bill Ashley

I use this app daily, it is the best one I have found for weight loss and exercise. I would LOVE to be able to upgrade to premium but unfortunately there is no option to pay monthly and not charge an entire year at once :(

My challenge is portion control. Tracking meals makes it easy to stay on track.
I can’t count calories, or decipher the labels on everything I eat, this app allows you to scan barcodes and adjust your serving to keep a good track of your food as well as you exercise. Been using it for a week and I already lost 5 lbs.

I lost 33 pounds in 11 weeks. I was never hungry. As a retired math teacher, the numbers-based app was simple for me to understand. If the number of calories consumed during the day stayed lower than the number of calories in the daily budget....the pounds melted off. I increased my exercise and protein intake which helped even more. The ONLY successful weight loss program I’ve tried. Met my goal in 2 months, 24 days!

I used this Application yesterday night and I just loved it, this morning I drunk a moringa tea and I wanted to save it for breakfast it gave an error and the Application turned black. I tried to open it several times but my page seems to stay black !?

Have used this great little app for almost 3 months. I lost to my target weight with exercise and tracking my intake through this app. It helps you slowly lose weight. It remembers your dietary habits makes very it easy to input the foods you commonly eat. More people should use this app. I recommend it to my patients.

The app is very good and easy to use. It helped me realuze how much carbs I was eatin. I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 because you can’t update or edit your foods once you entered them and some of the nutritional facts available in the database entered by other users is incorrect. I do like the scanner capability.

Love the app but wish foods added by others were not visible to me until verified by you. Soooo many duplicates and incorrect restaurant information. Maybe it would be better if clear instructions were provided. For a long time, I didn’t even know I could create food items with nutritional information from my work cafeteria.
Now that I know what can delete items from My Foods, I will be cleaning up my list!

I want to start this review by stating that this is the first app I have ever written a review for, but I love it so much, I have to! I am have used several different apps to count calories, carbohydrates, exercise, etc. but have usually given up on them after a couple of weeks because it’s too much work and somewhat complicated. This app is so easy to use and simple to track my caloric intake. I absolutely love the feature that links to my Apple Watch as well. I have set it up to link my exercise and allow me those extra calories to consume if I want..... and again.... so easy to sync. I can see how many calories I have left right on the face of my watch..... by simply lifting my wrist!!! It also lets me know how many calories I am under or over for the week. Such a fantastic app!!!!!!!!

I have used this app off and on for a year combined with my fitbit app. When I am using this app I am more aware of my eating so I make better choices. I've lost 18 pounds. I had lost 25 but stopped using it for several months and gained back 7 lbs. My husband has used this app religiously for over two years. He lost 40 pounds and has kept it off for a year. It is an integral part of his health routine. This app is very easy to use and is a great tool for anyone who is committed to consistently track and monitor their food, water and or exercise. It works.

Let’s face, the only way to lose weight, and keep it off, is to cut calories and exercise. Calories in v. Calories out. This Tracker has a good data base, critical to keeping up with these metrics. Follow these numbers daily and you will steadily drops pounds. It’s simple math.
I love this app for tracking my calories. If you are diligent, it helps to visually see what you are feeding your body & realize the fuel your body needs. I like how it tells me the date I will reach my goal based off of my entries at the end of the day.

I’ve used this app for 3 months and have done very well with it...until now. The app changed my calories to below 1200. I would like to adjust to an even 1200, but can not do that. I would really hate to have to switch to another app at this late date, but it looks like that’s where I’m headed. 😢

Until recently, if I went a little over my calorie budget, but still was on track to lose weight, I’d still get a reassuring message telling me how many days it would take to hit my goal. Now, it says, “everybody has a bad day now and then.” I get that message six days a week, which gets depressing day after day. If I make progress, why give me a message reminding me that I missed my goal? I get the same message if I’m 10 calories over budget (and losing weight) as I do if I’m 1000 calories over (and gaining a couple of pounds a week. That’s dumb.

Great APP to record and track calories. I've used this app to successfully lose 125 pounds from 290 to 165. If you're honest and diligent with what you actually eat and record, the app will help you on your journey.

I've been using Loseit for years, off and on. I'm not a fabulous weight loss success story, but having tried many diets I still think that calorie counting is the best way to go for me. The calorie counting function is really great with my foods, restaurants, and bar code lookup. I've been logging while on vacation just to keep me mindful and on track, and I didn't gain any weight. The ap also interfaces with the Apple health function and step counter. Now I’ve gone to linking with Fitbit, which is great. I'd highly recommend this ap to anyone interested in calorie counting.

I want to start off by saying - it’s a great app which does exactly what I need. I like it more than its biggest competitor (wink-wink, you know who I’m talking about).
The recently added quick-add feature is awesome!
However, the functionality that is missing (making my workflow a bit harder) is “copying” a food item from a previous day. Very often I use the same ingredients for my meals as the day before, in the same amounts (prep and split into X parts). I don’t want to create a recipe as it’s a one-off and the time to create a recipe is not worth it. But it would be so great if I had a “copy to Today” feature where I open my log from yesterday, swipe left on a food item, select “copy to today” and then select the “destination” (breakfast/dinner/snack/lunch) to indicate where the food should be copied, in case it’s different (for example, if yesterday it was a dinner and today it’s the same food for lunch)

So when I started with this app one month ago I was able to mark decimals in my weight. My phone and thus numbers use a , for decimals and not a . which has made it so that I cannot track anything more specific than a pound. If the devs could address this one minor problem I'd push this to 5 stars, and if you write decimals with a . please do take this as a 5 star review!
Post pregnancy weight loss solution! 5/5
I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been after giving birth 3 months ago and the weight wasn’t coming off no matter how little I felt I was eating. With a newborn it’s hard to cook so I was eating a lot of small frozen meals. This app helped me realize just how many calories were in many of the seemingly small meals I was eating! I’ve totally changed how I eat and now I eat more filling food (that’s still easy to prepare) with less calories. This is the only thing that has helped me realize this and change what I’m eating. The app is super easy to use. I’ve lost 5 lbs in just one week so far! Amazing!

I am now down 35 pounds, 30 of them since joining Lose It in March 2016. Great tool. I would be lost without it. I weigh and measure and keep track daily. So after using Lose it for an entire year I am maintaining my 35 pound weight loss. I upgraded to premium for a year in February 2017 only because there was a special deal. I love Lose it and now I can plan my meals in advance. I will continue to use this app to help me maintain my weight. It is now April almost May 2017 and I have lost an additional 4 lbs. since upgrading to premium. Not much, but I didn't need to lose anymore because I have reached my goal and been maintaining my weight. I joined the gym and have also been able to sync my Lose it app with my Fitbit tracker for added success.
Newest update- more than 1/2 my entries are missing. Can’t see my challenges, my insights, badges, friends. Some screens completely blank. I have had premium for almost a year and because of this I am extremely disappointed. I have shut down my phone in hopes to be able to see all of my information again and NOTHING. I am so :( I love Lose it but this is the worst. Please fix or advise me how to fix it. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem.
So it took a little while after my previous review but all my entries are back. I have been using lose it for about just over 2 years. I have gained a few lbs back, and when that happens I get right back on track with my lose it app. Love my lose it tool.
