Lucid: Learn Visually app reviews

  • Pay, pay, money 1/5

    By ingliworld
Why is so expensive and why should I pay almost from start. It’s like stupid
  • Great concept. Poor execution 3/5

    By adapt4c
The articles and information are extremely well written and obvious care has been put into layout and design. However, absolutely nothing will load unless you are directly hardwired into a 100+ gbps speed internet connection. I canceled my subscription because quality content isn’t worth much if you can’t access it.
  • Excellent Way to Learn Something New 5/5

By The Word Shall Set You Free
Lucid has been a tremendous pleasure for gaining mew insights. It has led to new book discoveries as well as glean the critical information from books I am less interested in. The app is so intuitive and makes reading/learning very enjoyable. The combination of text, visuals, and interactivity will help cement the concepts in your mind. I could not recommend this enough!
  • Absolute joke 1/5

    By Clashmaster15
The app is good… when it is working! The app was completely down for over 5 days and after emailing the support team all they said was bare with us as if this was a normal time for an app to be down. Even worse is that I was charged twice for the premium membership. After disputing the second charge I cancelled my membership and should have access through at least the end of the year but it should not be renewed. Instead I now have no access at all even though I was charged $110 this august which means k should have membership until next august. Do better and please check out this apps charging tendencies as I imagine they do this often to unobservant users
  • Praise & Feedback 5/5

    By Qubit19
Praise: Thank you for summarizing great books in such informative ways! Looking forward to using this app more. Feedback: From a psychological standpoint, if you enable the feature of an reward effect when finishing a chapter, and even greater reward for finishing a book (think confetti & moving the book to the finished section in your library with flashy excitement and accomplishment) you will encourage people to keep going because they want that feeling of accomplishment. Anyway, good stuff, thought the feedback might be easy to implement and possible effective. Keep up the good work!
  • Honestly 5/5

    By J mac76
After using this app for a day i'm already pretty hooked. Would recommend highly
  • Really well done! 5/5

    By Shknerth
Lucid is really well done for what it focuses on.
  • Theoretically good 2/5

    By Adel Emm
I like the app in theory, because i really like it. However, the app crashes every five minutes. I updated it, but it crashes even more. There is no channel on the app to report bug fixes or any way to contact customer service. I emailed them through their website, because it’s becoming really annoying. Also it lacks simple features like search, bookmarks, etc
  • Not working 1/5

    By frenchtoast9
The app is not working after the last update. It will open but won’t load content.
  • No DARK MODE!?? 2/5

    By Lost in Tactics
What are you doing dev? You do know people want to read while laying down at night or read while relaxing in a cozy dark environment. How are you missing such a standard feature “that costs you nothing” to copy and paste the code to your app. Smh.
  • Paid 1 year in full can’t log in 1/5

    No response from support
  • Great! 5/5

    By notanavidreviewer
Best way to read books. The visual aid and accurate but concise slides are awesome. Just wish I could use it on my computer
  • Didn’t really want this 2/5

    By J.Goyette
I signed up for the free trial, was told I would get a reminder email when the free trial was ending which I never got, Then got charged 100 dollars. I guess the app is ok if you don’t like to read, but I do enjoy reading so it doesn’t really work for me. I feel like I swipe too much, it’s like read two sentences swipe, two more swipe two more swipe and so on. But I guess I’m stuck with it for a year, so lesson learned about reminder emails.
  • Faulty 1/5

    By 2nd Dan
App crashed and would not load. Reinstalled and Lucifer is not allowing me to use my current $100 subscription. Do not download this app it will steal your money!
  • Good 5/5

  • Crashing 1/5

    By durk7777
I like the app, but canceled my membership because it keeps crashing and I have to start the chapter over again every time
  • Pleasantly surprised 5/5

    By ST. Arbor
I am so tired of looking at my phone. It seems like a waste of time and energy…the two things you cannot afford to waste is time and energy. Time and energy is spent finding useful content, if the content is not useful or not what I wanted, it’s a waste. Lucid aggregates useful and meaningfully concepts and content into a space that is easy to navigate and digest. I feel like my time and energy in this app is worth the screen time.
  • Get better with less time, energy, and attention 5/5

    By Blasterbob
Lucid is The holy Grail for me. As somebody who is always trying to learn more, I often found myself going to YouTube for book summaries. That was good, but you do have to sort through some bad reviews, and it’s not always easy to get everything out of a book. Then I heard about Lucid. The app allows you to read a book in less than an hour, while giving you great summaries that are visual and concise. It’s like getting the pamphlet with all the meat and sizzle without paying for all the fat and fluff you get in a normal book. For that reason alone, it’s well worth the $15 per month.
  • Loving it! 5/5

    By oramalika
I’m really enjoying this app. I love that this is an informational app and takes my focus off of meaningless content from other social media platforms.
  • May be too early to review but so far… 4/5

    By OxMom
…so good. I just finished my first book, so not much to go by and I will finish the free trial but I am concerned by the online reviews that say there is a very limited selection of books available that can be easily read through within the year of the $100 subscription. If that’s true that would be a waste of money.

  • Too hard to read 4/5

    By Blardee blar
I have vision issues and the type is small and light colored on a light background. Like so many apps it will not let me pinch to enlarge and this one even interferes with my magnifier feature. Too bad. I think I would have enjoyed it.
  • Fun, easy to understand, easy to remember!! 5/5

    By msdanikarenee
I love learning! It’s one of my favorite hobbies. But I have a hard time remembering most of what I learn in my day to day. Lucid helps me recall information easier with the visual aids and simplified explanations. Recommend for anyone who loves to read and learn!!
  • Biased content but not surprised I guess 1/5

    By mls8533
Be careful…content fits one narrative only. If you agree with everything the MSM tells you, by all means, go ahead! If not, hard pass!
  • Good app, $99 a year is an insanely steep price 2/5

    By media-n
It seems the price for the app has tripled in just a short time frame, which is unfortunate as at the current price model it isn’t worth it at all

  • Love it 5/5

    By tonefive
One of my favorite apps today. Wish they would add more features more often, feels like they have a small dev team still but a lot of room for growth
  • Wonderful app 5/5

    By shrlynicole
It keeps me engaged and provides simple and concise material that allows me to learn interesting facts in a short period of time.
  • Major Bug 2/5

    By Jmward13
I love this app but, as I’ve emailed with support already, my progress is erased with every update. The content is amazing, this method of learning works really well for my ADHD brain and I would happily continue paying for the subscription if not for this problem. I hope you’re able to figure out where the big lies and you’re able to fix it. ✌🏽
  • Love 5/5

    By Gigi qy
I like this kind of reading style
  • Neurodivergents: DOWNLOAD THIS NOW! 5/5

    By BanksofCallie
Another “I never write reviews but I have to for this” post. Lucid has changed the game. I’ve read 12 books in a week. In a week! I’ve always thought 90% of most books are filler, and Lucid takes the key points and cuts out the rest. I’ve started taking notes in the notes app so I can reflect later on. It’s nothing to do 10 chapters a day, and I can remember everything I’ve read! If you have ADHD or a neurodivergent mind, this app is 100% a must have is worth the cost of membership. I can’t wait to see more titles added in the business & philosophy sections, but you have a lifelong customer in me!
  • Phenomenal 5/5

    By just like pike
Hooked immediately! Downloaded it an hour ago and already feel like I’ve got the tools to be a better person tomorrow!!
  • best app ever 5/5

    By Samu3lCool
tysm you guys saved my life
  • Way better use of my screen time 5/5

    By Nicalicious5183939
I didn’t even know I needed this until I needed it. There are so many great books and useful perspectives compiled in a way that makes it very convenient to spend chunks of time on. Love it!
  • Blinkist & Koober VS Lucid 5/5

    By Action Mane
Lucid is for the visual learner. Unlike book summary apps like Koober and Blinkist, Lucid condenses each idea down to short and simple texts, forcing you to rely on their unique infographic animations. Their Daily Quizzes guarantee retention.
  • WOAH 5/5

    By ぢ亜門度出ず
Oh my goodness... this app is a life changer fr. Usually i don’t get apps i see on ads but literally i love this app! I feel like i learn something new everyday and it really makes you think and view life differently
  • Why can’t export notes? 3/5

    By Xinerdm
Can’t add thinking Can’t highlight and export notes Can do save card but still export all and print is useful. If someone pays for it, would expect those basic features.
  • Bad viewer 1/5

    By Comfy_numb
Doesnt have any basic functions like scrolling back or go to certain page. Wouldn’t recommend to use the app
  • I have never been more engaged in reading! I 5/5

    By PaymanFerdos
I have learned more topics in 10 minuets with this app versus 5 hours with regular books.
  • Like reading summaries 3/5

    By big orange blaster
The information is too distilled for my taste. If I can read a whole book in 10 minutes or three books in a day, then I’m really not learning anything. Learning takes time, that’s why books are long and slow. I’ll pay for a month and see how I feel after that, definitely not comfortable buying a year up front.
  • Great app that makes it fun to learn 5/5

    By jeffychan
I love visuals. It helps me understand things better. Each page is concise and delivers a good but not lengthy message, by the time you’ve done a few pages, you’re nearly done with the chapter. I love how it incorporates multiple key points from books.
  • Great app, but… 4/5

    By Ponowaikiki
It really really really needs a search feature.
  • Amazing 5/5

    By SheenaYoung
This is my very first review. I had to write it because Lucid is simply too amazing. Beautiful visuals, punctual content and smooth app experience. Everything is just hands down, AMAZING!! Thank you, Lucid!!
