I love this app. My only issue, I’m a ferocious reader. As of today I’m reading 41 different stories. I’d pay 100 bucks a year to get entire books and series. I just read so fast , it get frustrating and I’m losing a bit of interest. Please consider a premium membership for those of us who read a tremendous amount of content and add an adult section as well. Thank you !

I am so happy to have found this app! For a small monthly fee, you get to read so many wonderful stories! I’d rather pay a monthly fee than pay per episode/chapter like other Webtoon applications. You get so much more for what you’re paying. I’ve been a subscriber for over a year now, and it’s worth EVERY penny! I’ve found so many great stories on here.
The only improvement I want is for a formatted version on the iPad. It doesn’t fill the iPad properly and I wish it did. Even just a little more fill of the page would be great! I hope this improvement is in the works!

I used to have no problem with this app I do love it however with the last year with every update the app doesn’t load comic episodes properly and it’s absolutely frustrating since it’s something I pay for.

it's a really great app. i love the stories and the quality. what i don't like is how much you have to pay and wait so long for things. it's either i pay for manta unlimited or i wait so long for only 1 free pass. i think it's a waste. i have to go to websites and stuff to finish the story instead. i like the app, i really do. but it makes me very impatient and mad sometimes.

I’ve been using this app to read manga & web toons for a few years now and I love it. My only complaint is that they don’t have the app set to work/look good on iPad … or the iPad mini. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I loved this app, I’ve had to delete and reinstall it so many times trying to fix it…here’s the issue, every time I open the app everything is gray. Nothing will load, it’s not a Wi-Fi issue because I’ve moved around and it won’t work anywhere not at my house or else where. I’d never had this issue it’s been going on for about a week. I had to cancel paying because what the point in paying for something that will never load. Not even the novels would load or show up…and when I hit the help center google and safari warn me from opening the website due to it being unsafe I really just don’t what to do…

I really love this app a lot! The translations are really good and the stories are unique. I just wish there was a comment section, I’m reading The Dangerous Convenience Store right now and it’s so cute and funny! I also love that it only costs about $4-$5 a month! Compared to other apps where you have to spend a lot of money on coins to read multiple stories, I like this a lot better! Wish more apps would let me pay monthly instead!
ETA : I am begging for a comments section. I would love to express how much I enjoy the series I read and gush over them with other fans as well as sing the artist’s and creator’s praises!

This app. Omg. So good and SO worth it. With other apps you have to pay per chapter/strip or whatever which was honestly the worst because I wouldn’t even try to read them if I knew I was going to have to keep paying to read it. Manta is the best. One price, once a month for the most incredible stories. The huge variety of stories/genres to choose from is my favorite. I love that the stories have different authors/artists: all the stories aren’t from one author and one artist. I stay up waaaaaay too late reading these 😂
One thing I would like: I want to be able to comment on stories directly on the app. Idk if that’s a feature that’s already built in that I haven’t figured out how to use, or if it can be added. But there’s some stories that I really want to leave messages/comments on for the authors/artists and for future readers. That’s really my only “complaint” and it really isn’t complaining. This app is for real awesome. Definitely a good app to have spent money on, even though I very rarely pay for apps (I’m broke 🥲) 100% worth it.

The app works fine for what it is, but what it is in not a model I can support. Subscription models are not something I use when when that subscription model does not include an option to buy. If their subscription model said, you get so many chapters you own at the end of the month, I would consider it depending on how many chapters verses the cost. The ability to read unlimited chapters while subscribed has no value to me and thus would not be factored in.
I’m sure this model works for many people, but I am not one of those people. I already am not happy about the fact that I must read them on an app (i.e. digitally), so making me pay to rent a product that is not in the format I want is not making it better. I’m sure there are many great titles on here. If that is true, I hope that physical publishers of manga, manhwa, and manhua (as well as their connected novels) will pick them up.
For many people this review will be seen as a reason to pick up this app and if that’s you, great. I do not begrudge you your reading preferences. It just is not for me. Again, my problem is not with there being a subscription model. My problem is with there not being a model that allows for purchase.

Other than this question the stories on this app are phenomenal and totally worth the wait. I recommend and I might get unlimited in the future.

I don’t like how long it’s taking to get through a fully story. The completed stories all have rushed endings… so if you find a story you like. It will take over a year, and that’s if they even come close to the end… and they won’t. Pretty pictures, beautiful dresses, beautiful dresses.

I have tried for over an hour to cancel it and i cant find how to, on the App Store it says that it will appear as soon as I want to cancel it and it doesn't show up and I have been looking up how to and all of them say that it'll be there and it'll say cancel subscription or restart subscription as soon as I press unlimited and then manage and it wont show up all the options it gives me is to ask for help on how to cancel it.

Don’t get me wrong the app offers REALLY good stores but the same time that’s the problem, with hits like “Under the Oak Tree” the artist only uploads every 10 days and every 4th episode goes on hiatus. Normally one wouldn’t be a Provo but almost 89% the creators follow this pattern. The reason why is because you pay monthly to read everything for free but the amount of content you get for that month of payment is so little it’s better to just do what other apps do and charge per “chapter” or “tile”.
I really really wanted to support the app and read the many good stores it has but with how much it’s costing for the little content I get to actually read it’s not worth it at all to keep paying.

Sorry I have 9 open series and I pay for unlimited $4.99 a month. I am not even a month in and I seriously could have read even more of their series while I wait for the once a week update or the 3 times a month update. Sorry but even the series they say are finished, are not. They are all just on a season break….. sigh. I likely won’t renew my subscription because I can’t read to my hearts content. Gonna go back to e-books or paper books. At least then I get more to read.

I really enjoy this app. For the longest time I was hesitant about having too many reading apps but downloaded this one for some reason and quickly became hooked! I love that they have a simple monthly subscription. NO COINS. No dumb point system. Just 5 bucks and unlimited reading if you don’t have patience for ads. Honestly, if they bumped it up a little more for the artist I wouldn’t complain.
Only one suggestion… add a “have read” or “read” tab under the my series. You already have the saved, you got the current reads, you just need a way to document what’s already been read. Sometimes I like to go back and reread favs but I’m terrible at remembering titles. A Read tab would be magnificent. Maybe even a way to rank them in a particular order on the tab so the true favs stay at the top… other than that great app!

This app is so cool it is definitely worth 5 stars but the reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because u only get one free pass and the episode isn’t even long u can read it in 2-3 minutes it would be nice if we had a few more free passes like 3-8 free passes so we can get through more than one episode.

I love this app, it gives me something to read when I have the time and it has so many great comics, the Art is great as well!!! I had some trouble trying to resubscribe to Manta Comics Unlimited, however, the problem finally was resolved. I’m not sure what occurred but I can finally access the content. I still highly recommend this app for any romantic readers !!! It’s definitely worth it!

So I saw an ad for Manta about two years ago and got hooked on one of the more popular stories. Slowly what I’ve come to realize is that they continuously add new stories to read, complete a season and then you’re waiting for months for an update. I have a story in my library that hasn’t been updated in over 4 months. I have another story that has the complete novel available to read yet, the comic with images hasn’t been updated in months. So you can read ahead without visuals but if that’s the case, you’re better off just buying a book. I’m not knocking the artists and rushing their work at all it just seems unfair to pay for something and know that you may not get anything new on current stories. Beyond that I’ve had multiple stories end early due to unforeseen circumstances, which is totally fine. Or a story just ending what seems to be abruptly all together. You have to keep paying a subscription to hope maybe a story with a finished season, not completed, comes back or is updated but doesn’t seem to be a guarantee and then wants you to turn on notifications for it. Like I said I’ve been waiting 4+ months for a lot of stories yet all I get are new ones being added on. So I wonder if this is just a repetitive cycle. I’m hoping there’s something updated by the end of the month before my subscription ends because this will most likely be my last before switching to a different app. I’m not going to keep paying money to wait in hopes of something coming back.

Unfortunate unlimited feature not working 1/5

I resubscribe my account every other month due to my work and school schedule.
This app was my easy get away to read great webcomics without the hassle of searching on the web.
Unfortunately this months subscription didn’t go as expected, after hitting resubscribe button and logging/opening my account there was no “unlimited chapters” for me to read I was stuck behind the pay wall…
Emailing manta support team they said its an Apple issue. I can clearly see my Apple account was charged and my other subscriptions(like Crunchyroll) worked just fine except Manta.
I would subscribe again if only it worked. They tried giving me unlimited on both emails I’ve provided… but still didn’t work.
(I can see my saved favorites and past history’s of chapters I’ve read months ago) my account is logged in but still no unlimited access.
This was an issue that didn’t get solved right away, from Dec 17-27 for them to tell me it’s apples problem my account isn’t working and just 30mins for Apple to refund me and say the developers of manta controls account services and access to the app.
At least I got my refund, save your money and either find another app or just go back to using web links for free

I enjoy this app a lot. They have a lot of good stories and they do a good job adding new ones like once a month I think?
The only thing I wish it had was a comment section. I wish I could make connections and discuss how a chapter made me feel. Or even leave a compliment for the author.
