App review 5/5
By Oz #1
Great app. Always enjoy comparing my stats to previous hike/jogs.
Good app, and the price is right. 4/5
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the instantaneous minutes per mile speed never aligns even close to the average. It needs to have a better averaging algorithm. It bounces a lot, which I can understand why. Perhaps take the previous 10 or 20 seconds and report that. What I don’t understand is that it is always way slower than reality.
Just ok. 2/5
Unreliable at best. Every so often, I’ll start the app and two seconds later it’s timed some distance at a some strange pace. Also, and most annoying, the app will drain my battery.
ONE THING TO CHANGE 5/5
I didn’t know that swiping up on my home screen to take a picture was going to finish my work out ): ):
Update has bugs 2/5
Updated the app and now it won’t let me choose between artists or playlists. App froze up on me twice. Used to work great.
Jacks up my time far too often! 2/5
By Baby I've got yo money!
Careful. Idk why but about 20-30 percent of the time it skips recording my time/distance and tells me I’m running a 2 min mile ave. I wish!!!
It’s an app that does what it says. Free version very light on the ads...veeeeery light. Love that about it.
Print too small 5/5
I'm 49 1/2 and can't read the fine print anyway but while running is really tough. Otherwise I really like the app
Jump air time? 4/5
Can you explain jump air time and ground time? What is the average for adults? How do I know what score is good or not?
Locked me out. 1/5
Used this app for years. Upgraded to iPhone X and suddenly locked out. Won’t recognize my Facebook login. Tried resetting password and gives error “must be longer than 6 characters”, which my password was. Moving on
Mileage way off 2/5
By Lily 2345
I just downloaded Map My Run to encourage walks and runs. I was hoping it would be more accurate than my Garmin that relies on stride length, but it’s way off. The route I’ve tracked with mapping software is two miles and MMR puts it at 2.6. The first mile of each route I’ve tracked so far is super wavy and wobbly, which may explain where the extra mileage comes from. I live in a suburb with lots of wide open spaces, so I can’t figure out why it’s having such a hard time. It’s definitely more accurate on open roads than in neighborhoods. Either way, it’s not great for what I need it for, which is accurate mileage and pacing info.
Apple Watch disaster 1/5
By I Have Spoken
The Basel hits my glove and the app pauses. Why can’t it recognize I’m still moving? Once I realized and restarted it said I was going 157 mph. Smh
Terrible GPS 1/5
I’ve used this app for over a year, training for a marathon and half marathon, and it was wonderful. I updated this app in April 2018 and everything has been terrible since. The GPS is never accurate therefore I never get correct mileage or pacing. Its impossible to train with this if you’re looking for a really good training app.
Can not transfer running data from Apple Watch to my iPhone 4/5
By happy runnner
Does any one have any suggestions?
Who needs gamin 5/5
This app does everything for you. Love it .
Love the map! Wish it had turn cues.
Thanks for the info., developers. 4/5
Thank you for responding. I removed my original review, but I do still wish walk was on the main screen—or we could choose our four most-used activities. I will walk more often than be in a run/race event. Thanks again!
Top running app and I never write reviews 5/5
By RED PATCHER
That's it. Love it. Best ever!
It’s good 5/5
It’s awesome - great for beginners who need that nudge to go farther
Great app. 4/5
Works great. Ads annoy but I understand why they are necessary.
Something not right. 😫 1/5
By Chin dock
Time would freeze and unfreeze...had me running miles between 30 seconds and a minute and a half. ⚡️....heads up Barry.
Sometimes it works, but just now it told me I ran a mile at a 6min pace- while I wish that was the case, it isn't accurate
App the best 5/5
By Hdjsbvshsbxb x
After 30 seconds of running it tells me I’ve gone 4miles.....lol doesn’t work
Love the app 4/5

I love the app for iPhone. I don’t mind the app for the Apple Watch, but I wish it had rollerblading as an option for workouts. It’s available in the phone app, but not for the watch. Maybe I just can’t find it? Not sure. But today I had to use “other” as my work out option, and it didn’t track my route that I took, or my heart rate. Now when I synced it with my phone, i could edit the workout to rollerblading, but I don’t want to have to do that. I also want gps to track the route that I take. Add rollerblading to the watch, and I’ll give it 5 stars.
Connection issues 2/5
By Live.love.laugh. Enjoy life
I have tried so many times to connect to MyFitnessPal and it has never worked.
Apple Watch 2/5
By B Keith
The Apple Watch version of this app is terrible. The response time is delayed after touching, the “finish” / “discard” / etc. buttons are too small and too close together. Why is there even a discard button on the watch? I’ve lost two workouts now accidentally pressing the “discard” button. Many times directly after a workout I am not stable or calm enough to accurately press the minuscule finish/save button on my watch. If you do keep it this way, please allow us to recover the workouts via the phone app.
Also, why is there no music accessibility via the watch app?? I love mapmyrun and have been using it for years now, but it’s not keeping up on the Apple Watch.
GPS was off today 3/5
It announced the mile marker about 400 meters before the previous days more le marker
Apple Watch won’t sync 5/5
On Monday I went for two runs. Both with just my watch. For some reason the second run didn’t sync with my app. Now every time I only bring my watch, it doesn’t sync with the app. I’ve tried uninstalling it and installing the app again but that didn’t fix the issue. I love this app and I was really excited (when it was working) about not having to carry my phone with me anymore.
By just ran
I think you should be able to login to your Spotify account as another way to listen to music than just through apple music.

In past weeks distance/time is wrong.
Thank you for creating this app!! 5/5
By Aspiring Distance Runner
MapMyRun helps me to see my progress and work harder for my goals. It helps me to feel proud of myself :)
Confused with app 2/5
It’s very confusing for someone who is not computer or app savvy I can’t get the calories to go on or the music googled it and found nothing
By rican runner
All of a sudden the app is not tracking my runs accurately. My usual mile markers are between 1 and 2 tenths off and the pace is all over the place. This morning I saw the pace (min/mi) at 58 - which is way wrong btw - then it jumped to 36 and then 6! Can we trust this app anymore??
Great product works well 5/5
This, Strava and a few others are great for runners. Slightly different than the android version
Great app 5/5
By Hawthorne Walker
I haven't use this for over a year and did some of the updates this past weekend. Great improvement really easy to use and love some of the extra features definitely worth the download!
App no longer working right 1/5
The app has always messed with Apple Music. Defaulting to Repeat. Also if I start listening to music first then start the app, the music gets reshuffled and defaults to repeat and goes off of shuffle. Even running music from within the app is problematic. Now, since updating my iPhone 7 to iOS 11.3.1, the app is no longer mapping the run. Even though the app tracks the time, it does not track the distance nor route.
4-star app 4/5
By Walking smart
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because my music doesn’t come up during my workout. It used to come up, but even when it did, only part of my music played. Otherwise, I really like how this app keeps track of my workouts & posts it to others instantaneously. I know when & how far my husband walks right when he finishes. It’s very easy & quick & reliable.
So far so good 4/5
I love seeing a visual representation of my run and realistic stats to know how well I did or didn't do. I had previously used the zero to 5K but I wanted to push harder some days and the app doesn’t really account for that. What I don’t like is that my workout paused when a call came in. I know for next time but there was a chunk of intense running that didn’t factor in to today’s run.
Needed accuracy 5/5
This is accurate for military physical training when training alone. I enjoy this app.
Too many adds. 3/5
I have used Map My Run for several years. Lately I have noticed a lot more pop up adds, not a fan!
Tracking Routes 5/5
It’s definitely nice tracking my different routes and comparing times as well as progress.
Login Issues 1/5
I have the Record app and wanted to use this app for runs outdoors. I try to login and it says I already have an account, use my underarmour password and it says its incorrect. Then change the password and it still says it's incorrect. Try to log in with my facebook and it says I already have an account, try to login with that and says it doesn't recognize my facebook. Go to app support and it asks me to sign in. I just want to use the darn app!
Awesome app 5/5
I like this app.'s features. Does everything I want it to. It maps your route and shows where you walked, tells you your pace, distance, time, and let's you share with friends.
I love this app because it keeps track of my distance and my speed.
Needs improvement 3/5
I started using my new Apple Watch and, for some bizarre reason, workout apps that work well only with the watch (i.e. leaving the phone at home) are in embarrassingly short supply. I’d use the Apple workout app, which seems to work well, but inexplicably lacks features, such as adding comments to a workout, which I do regularly. So I downloaded Map My Run which gives me all kind of data and features. For the most part, it works well with the watch, with one GLARING exception: average pace listed is not even close to accurate (it shows my average pace much higher than it is). Even stranger, the app lists my split times which look accurate but can’t be added mathematically to equal the average pace. In other words, how can I have an average walk pace of 13:03 min/mile if all my splits are higher than that? Anyway, I signed up for a subscription but will have to cancel if this is not fixed.
Running on its own 1/5
I was charged for an upgrade that I didn’t request and found out the app was running on its own. I couldn’t shut it down so I had to delete it.
Even on a clear day, GPS on this thing is crap. Tallies my pace anywhere between a 3 minute mile and a 19 minute Mile. So inconsistent.
GPS NEEDS WORK 3/5
Your gps routinely messes up. It shows I ran off in some crazy direction and miscalculates my calories :-(
It could be better like it said i ran a 60 minuet with my mom that’s not right... so i did 3
