    I cannot log into the app since the last update. I can’t sign in at all. Please fix. I loved the app before this and would use it every time I traveled.

    This app is not really well designed. As many people have stated, you can use the request options all you want, but is rare your requests are very rarely acted on before arrival. It would really nice to able to select your room when you check in on mobile (Hilton offers this). As an elite member, I have discovered you miss out on upgraded rooms if you check in online. The app suffers from the same issue as the website in that it doesn’t accurately display life time points balance.

    When I book a hotel, the main piece of data I use to evaluate the hotel is the build date and/or the last renovation date for the rooms. Every other minute detail about the hotel is on the mobile app. However, to get these dates, I have to go to the web. Please add these two critical pieces of data to the mobile app. Thanks.

    Well the app requires JavaScript, one minus right there. More importantly it doesn’t seem to pick up reservations from the main site. That makes it pretty darn useless. On top of that it is sooo badly designed it’s painful to use. They should take a look at Hilton’s.

    Great for tracking trip and rewards. The only thing that is a problem is that the mobile key often cannot be provisioned to my phone. Various properties try numerous times w no success. On those rare occasions when provisioning does work, the mobile key works fine.

    I generally stay at Hilton resorts and have just started transitioning to Marriott to improve status. The app is great on locating room availability, but #1 unlike Hilton, you cannot see a floor plan, #2 you cannot pick your room, #3 don’t bother booking unless your absolutely certain it will be the room that you want because you will not be able to cancel. Instead, you have to call into customer service and ask for cancellation. I’ve complained on several occasions and months after complaining still no repair.... Does Marriott not care about loosing clients? No one has time to sit on hold to speak to a representative just to cancel a room they no longer desire. The app needs a new look, design and repair! Marriott Fix it!!!

    If you have options on your app they should be functional. The request for amenities is totally useless, the requests are never done. The mobile key function works after several tries and if you hold your phone on the door. After 2 days, the mobile key disappeared from the app. Had to go back and get a key from the desk.

    Try booking with points. Difficult to find out how. The Marriott app needs a lot of work and better beta testers. The app is not intuitive at all. Navigation is challenging. If you are a member, it will take a while to locate your info and learn how to book with points. And if they miss logging stays, it is a challenge. While they take digital, not png digital which is the iPad screenshot format, not to mention second only to jpg. I tried the new digital key in the app and while it checked me in with a room number could only say "ops" when it would not open my door. Loved dragging my luggage all over the place late night. Get it together Marriott. Note to developer: I am well aware of where the navigation button is located. It does not make the app anymore intuitive or functional. It needs more work.

    Very frustrating for Marriot to remove lifetime points and despite several phone calls, I don’t get a response or answer to why they were removed from both the app and regular website. All it would take would be a general email to everyone that maybe they were being updated. Marriot right now is choosing to ignore the problem.

    I love Marriott as a hotel group. I try to use them exclusively whenever I travel whether it’s for work for leisure and I’ve had zero issues thus far. Booking through the app is easy and for the most part matches the experience on the desktop website. The mobile check-in works well enough, but the experience from hotel to hotel could be better for Elite members who’ve already checked in. A few things that could be better would be the search functionality and the contact with guest services. Searching in specific areas, whether by city or general area (small countries) leaves a bit to be desired. Maybe a search function that adds “redo search in this area” while in the map would be great. Yelp has a feature like this and I could imagine it being useful when trying to find accommodations. As mentioned in other reviews, the general contact with guest services leaves a lot to be desired. I rarely, if ever, get my requests fulfilled. The options for service seem to be blanketed across all Marriotts, so I’m able to request things that some hotels don’t offer like extra foam pillows or body lotion. The lack on confirmation of whether the request was received, fulfilled or cancelled can be frustrating. The addition of a custom request option would be great. The chat function works sometimes, but I can’t rely on it as much as I would like. It’s still much easier to call the front desk or even just physically visit the desk. That being said, the app has definitely improved over time and has been a great travel tool for me.

    It be great if the feedback to the hotel was more real-time. It’s also be good if we could download our receipts from past stays from within the app. Having to go to the website makes the app feel useless at times.

    I have 3 rooms ,same days for a wedding with different confirmation numbers, only one confirmation shows on the app resulting in a call to the hotel anyhow. App does not make the simplest things easier.

    I could not use it to book a room last night. Got help via phone. Tried to check in using it and the hotel staff could not find me. The app does not show my prior stays. It would be nice to get receipts. I had higher expectations on the quality of your service

    Marriott app developers, you have to know by now the app won’t allow a login, either by password or Touch ID. This has been a constant for weeks. Keep not fixing it. I’m sure Hilton and Hyatt are thrilled.

    Because I travel for business a lot I thought using this app make the check in process easy. The second day of my stay my rooms keys didn’t work. When I went to the front desk they were very confused and couldn’t find my reservation. When they figured it out and got my keys working I came back to my room to find it a mess. The bed was missing all of the linens, it was partially cleaned, my toiletries were missing and other personal items were missing. Apparently even if you check in via the app they still have to check you in their hotel system, it’s not seamless or connected. The hotel manager seemed frustrated with me because I couldn’t remember who checked me in and was impatient with me.

    Does not matter - what use to be easy now challenging- app why don’t show all rooms? And why not show points vs cost easier vs flip between pages? Online version worst! Web designer has 60 inch screen and business people on 15” laptop? Make it easier for customers And then the platinum line - use to be able to get to live person - now computer Voice just makes you agree before Maybe talking to customer service

    Marriott sent me an email to check in early through their app. I downloaded it, registered and my upcoming reservation did not show up. There is no “help” feature, any customer support numbers listed in the app or even FAQ. I eventually tracked down a customer service number but they aren’t open for another 2 hours. Very poor customer journey.

    Super frustrating that none of the in-app communication works. Not the chat, not the service requests, etc. Very frustrating. Also don’t like there is no menu or pricing for onsite restaurant. If it was a restaurant separate from the hotel but on the property- I’d understand. This is the restaurant within the lobby.

    I like the ability to check in and review things. The app doesn’t let me check out if I have not stayed 12 hours. There is no option. (That’s appears to be the time frame.) I should be able to check out when I need to.

    Can even open it for the past day. Not available when I need it. I have updated this app many times. Still has problems. I can not access more than my next 10 reservations and I cannot cancel any reservations via the app or online. I always have to call in to cancel a reservations. That’s annoying.

    Can’t sign in today. A brief circular progress bar then nothing. Nothing happens. Does Marriott think people will telephone or go to the web to make a reservation when their app fails? I don’t. I close the app and open the next one. I booked at Hilton today: their app worked.

    While I love staying at the Marriott, the App is such a bust. After your stays, your points take ages to come through and be deposited on your profile. You actually end up not being able to use/redeem them on time for your next trip/family vacation. So disappointing... I use other Apps from other hotel chains and I don’t have that problem. In 5 business days tops, it’s all updated on you profile. Marriott seems to be the exception. But for the wrong reasons :/

    The Surf Club, as is the rest of the property, improving year by year. We are glad to see improvements being addressed. Most of the employees are stars in our book; however, a few could use some additional customer interaction & problem solving training. On a personal note, I would love to have a recliner in the living room of the Villa. ( a more homey feeling ). We have been owners of Marriott Surf Club in Aruba for 6+ years.     I agree with other reviews, the app does not communicate with the hotel other than to give them your reservation. In fact, the chat directly contradicted hotel staff when I asked for a rollaway bed. The staff explained that this was a fire hazard while the app said “We’ll send one right up, that will be $50.” Any requests made for towels, linens, etc, will NOT be communicated so don’t bother. I’ll be deleting this and just using the hotel website.

    I get an email telling me to check in by downloading the mobile app so I download it. It will not connect my reservation with my rewards number. Keeps telling me I have no upcoming reservation. There should be a chat feature but there isn’t. A complete waste of my time.

    The app is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the inability to view a receipt for a past stay on the app is frustrating, especially when needing to do expense reports weekly. Also to be competitive, take a note from Hilton and offer a floor map and directions to various amenities on the grounds. Fitness center, pool, restaurant and the like. Step it up!
