I downloaded the app, and, when I opened it, there was a start-up tutorial thing to click through, but the final pop-up was to upgrade to premium, with no option to opt out!

This app charges you so much money for no reason and is very sneaky about it. You guys are trash for secretly stealing money from Folks.
  • Such a Cash Grab for Nothing 1/5

By Why are nicknames a thing
Can barely use any features for a METRONOME. Can't tap out your rhythms without being greeted with a $8 a month card.
  • Tries to Take Your Money in a Big Way 1/5

    By badboy2k
Beware! This little larcenous app tries to relieve you of $8 per week, amazingly. You cannot use it without activating subscription, so the best advice would be: don’t install this app, stay away, warn others! That is, of course, unless you wish a $416 per year metronome!
  • BE AWARE!! Weekly charge— expensive!! 1/5

I downloaded this app and i wasn’t very pleased with it so I tried to cancel my subscription and I read what it said to do to cancel and it’s a complete lie don’t do it and if someone somehow figured out how to unsubscribe help a sister out.

    By Loreleijkg
This app is a scam. I downloaded it to use the free trial and I had no choice but to start a subscription of EIGHT DOLLARS A MONTH! This is ridiculous and it is very challenging to understand how to unsubscribe. I am very unhappy with my experience with this application.
  • Total fraud 1/5

    By E3M4N
This app would not even let me get to the app without first agreeing to a subscription. It literally attempted to charge my credit card $416 per year!!!! Do the math and tell this a-hole developer that its not worth $5 for a one-time purchase. He can stick his $416 subscription request straight up his butt. Any 5star review is a fake account by the russian Internet Research Group. Not to be trusted.
  • Don’t bother! 1/5

To use this “free” APP, you must first agree up sign up (purchase) the premium version, which costs $7.99 per week.

  • Don’t download this app 1/5

    By hbd910
Go ahead and don’t download this app. You can’t continue use of the app without subscribing. This is not made clear as you can see from the other reviews. The app itself is nothing special and not worth getting charged in what seems to be an internationally misleading way for. Once again, move along, better apps available.
  • SCAM!! 1/5

    By armattei
This app signed me on without my permission. And I can’t find how to opt out.

    By JonathanG72
I really enjoyed the app mainly cause how clean the app looked and simple, and with me being a percussionist, I enjoyed the rhythm game included. With that being said, YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO PAY $8 A WEEK TO USE A METRONOME. If it was just a one time purchase, then this would be a different review. Way to expensive for something so simple to use.
  • Ehh... 2/5

    By DomJr333
The app will prompt you to purchase an $8/ week subscription triggered by touching the home button. I hate that app developers do that. Was hard to figure out how to unsubscribe but here’s how if you need to. The way to get out is 1. Go to settings 2. ITunes & App Store 3. Select your Apple ID 4. View Apple ID 5. Subscriptions 6. Select Metronome and cancel Hope this helps
  • Expensive and useless 1/5

    By regiewguy
I can’t even use it without having to agree to the free trial and give my credit card information. And its only a week and its hard to cancel and enter into the subscription as well. $7 each month for a metronome app? Are you kidding me.

Scam scam scam! Accidentally hit agree to free trial and your agreeing to $7.99 per week! Scam scam scam!
  • SCAM 1/5

    By Clyde Porter
Literally just a scam. It’s a basic metronome but in the terms and conditions you have to subscribe for $9 a week to use it at all. They make unsubscribing as difficult as possible. If you don’t pay attention they’ll take $9 a week with no notice at all.
  • Average 1/5

  • Watch your kids. Outrageous 1/5

    By ekolok8
My fault for not watching this. Too easy to subscribe. 6 weeks of a metronome app @ $7.99 a week. Flushed $50 pretty quick. Again my fault ...but total rip off. No stars for this alone.
  • Stupid 1/5

    By dad6969273
The only way you can use the app is to sign up for a monthly paid program. And all of that money just for a metronome?? Rethink your business strategy, developers.
  • Watch out for the $8 subscription 1/5

    By bananacakeisgood
I’m not sure that anyone is willing to pay $8 for a metronome subscription. I’m not and I certainly didn’t think that my free trial would sign me up automatically for it. App deleted.
  • Shameless 1/5

    By shrimpinsincebeenshrimpin
The onboarding flow is designed to trick you into signing up for a weekly subscription fee. The button to complete the onboarding flow says “BEGIN FREE TRIAL” and tapping it brings up a dialogue asking for Touch ID confirmation of a free trial that automatically transitions into a $7.99/week subscription, in the hopes that you won’t notice, won’t understand or that simple muscle memory and impatience will cause you to blow through. If this strategy doesn’t work, and you cancel out of Touch ID confirmation, you cannot leave the onboarding flow unless you notice an illegibly small button in a shade of grey that nearly blends into the background. They want to frustrate you enough to just start the trial and tell yourself you’ll cancel before a week is up, then hope you forget. Other reviews mention not being able to cancel, I imagine they make that process as onerous and obtuse as possible. If you do manage to find the tiny, low-contrast button that releases you from the nightmarish wasteland that is their onboarding flow, the free version of the app wastes no time shamelessly and desperately shoving the premium features and monthly subscription in your face. It is cloying and tasteless, and I imagine they’ve thought a lot about how to make it easy to sign up accidentally, or frustrate you into paying. Also, let’s not forget what they are asking for: $7.99/week FOR A METRONOME. How is a metronome a subscription service? People if you wait two weeks you can go buy a real-life metronome! I have nothing against a developer or company trying to monetize their product, but this app, this developer goes way too far. The pricing is ludicrous and greedy, and the app is designed to be misleading if not downright dishonest.
  • $8 a week for a metronome?! 2/5

    By Skajungle
As much as the developer’s response is that you can use the limited version without paying for the app, it DOES NOT let you continue without FIRST agreeing to the subscription, nor was it easy to unsubscribe. Perhaps there should be more clear instructions in OR two separate versions. But my guess is that this is done on purpose so that they can get some money for it. There are plenty of apps that allow you to use the free version only without forcing you through to a subscription and if it was that big of a concern to them, it would have been fixed. At that price, I’ll buy myself a little pocket metronome/tuner. Too bad too, because the metronome itself isn’t bad.

My Apple Bill was unusually high, so I looked into it. These guys have been charging me $7.99 a week! I had no idea there was a weekly charge for this. Don’t do it!

  • Don’t get this “free” app 1/5

    By mmkklloopp
It’s only free for a week. Then you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money every week to use this app. They say you can “cancel” before the trial period is over. But like every other scam like this, there is no way to cancel. So lame.
  • Ridiculous price 1/5

ok I thought I was going to get a FREE app right? I downloaded the app, and then it said I needed AN IN APP PURCHASE, OF EIGHT DOLLARS A WEEK!!!!! THESE DEVELOPERS OBVIOUSLY DON’T KNOW HOW TO MAKE AN APP This is not worth your time. I have no clue how this app has such a good rating.
  • Oh no no no... 1/5

    By Hynuk
It’s $8 per WEEK to use this app. You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m not a price sensitive buyer and this feels ridiculous. Didn’t even get past the “get started” screen. I’m a semi-professional musician, and have dropped a pretty penny on software. This. This right here MUST be a joke.

I accidentally hit my thumb and barely saw the $7.99 PER WEEK subscription message. Fortunately, I was able to cancel from iTunes. This is maliciously overpriced. I will never click on a sponsored app in iTunes again!
