Crashes constantly 2/5
Since updating my iPhone 11 to iOS 16.1.1, my Excel files crash without warning. Most of the time a file will not stay open more than a minute or two.
Does not translate other languages to English 4/5
I would give it a 5 star rating but it does not translate other countries languages on the sheets or whole workbook
Excel evaluation 3/5
I pay $8 every month for excel. I am always rebuilding because it didn’t save properly. I have an Apple so have to rent Mico Soft package. Use it every day but fear every day of losing my information.
Time and money 5/5
I manage my work hours and my finances on excel, it’s makes it so easy to track both of them.
Excelente y muy útil 5/5
I’m leaving Microsoft. 1/5
I’ve used Excel and Word on my iPad and iPhone for years without having to pay any fees. Yesterday I bought a new iPad and now because the screen on the iPad is bigger, I need to pay to access files I created for free. Bad move Microsoft. Guess I’m going to start using Pages!

Never thought using on my iphone would be this easy
Could be better 3/5
Overall, I do think this is a good app. It, for the most part is user-friendly, unfortunately, it does have one glaring issue if I want to make the inside lines of the cells whether it be the top or the bottom, I have to do each sell individually. If I wanna make the size of each column thick, I can select the whole column but if I want to make the top and bottom, I have to do each sell individually. If I select the whole column, it will only do that top of the selected column in the bottom one of the selected not the top, and the bottom of each individual selling the column.
Keeps telling me to sign in… 1/5
I keep successfully signing in but it wont let me do anything because it says I need to sign in while I’m currently signed in. I’ve redownloaded, restarted my iPad, cleared and reinterred my log in information, and even reset my password 3 times. Still the same result, I log in and nothing works because I need to sign in. Even google is out of ideas for me to try. I give up.
Love, hate 1/5
Love the software for the most part.
I hate how they regularly ask me to review the app and it halts and messes up whatever I’m working on.
This product is easy to use and is easy updatable

Update rendered it useless. Fix sign in please! 2/5
By Poor, poor app
The latest update has rendered one of my favorite apps useless. Every time I open the app now, I have to login. Every time!!! Please enable remember me feature or FaceID. My other MS apps have none of these issues.
FIX SIGN IN ISSUES!!
Need Pivot Tables!!! 1/5
How can Excel for iPad not have pivot tables? C’mon Microsoft! You’re better than that!
Disaster on iPad 1/5
Why did you have to change the way recent files appear? Now each one takes up a fourth of my screen because instead of just the file name, there is a big blank box with the file name under it. What a miserable waste of time and energy!
CAN’T PASTE DATA! 1/5
By real jabami yumeko
Why we can use capy and paste data in the excel. It’s not making sense so wasting a time to write it down one by one, please make it easier and allow us to can use copy and paste data
Moved formula entry to the bottom 1/5
Why did you move formula entry to the bottom versus the top. I hate it there and it doesn’t appear. There’s any option to change it back to the top. Thank you very much Microsoft.
Great to have
Microsoft Excel is so noisy but the best spreadsheet program 3/5
I’ve always wondered why Apple has never improved its Numbers App to compete with Excel. Same thing with Apples Mail App and it’s word app. Microsoft’s Excel and Word are superior to all others of its kind. The only problem is that Microsoft controls everything else on one’s computer and is so noisy that I only give them a 3 star.
Utterly useless 1/5
I can’t believe I have to write this. It’s complete trash. Compared to the desktop version it laughable this came from the same company. Entering information into cells is slow and painful. The file navigation menu doesn’t even show the whole file name so I have no idea what I am opening. And it keeps saving files to a SharePoint directory not to my one drive, even though I specify where I want the file.
I will be so happy to get my laptop working again so I can go back to using the good version.
Data Entry Line 4/5
By Foothills Frank
The data entry line is too narrow and difficult to find.
Works well for my needs. 5/5
I use it to keep up with my number games. It suits my statistical analysis.
I have a license but can't seem to use it here. 1/5
Why can't I use the license I already have?
Must be connected to internet to print 1/5
I need my iPad and printer to work in the field where I don’t have an internet connection. Excel needs an internet connection to convert my file into the appraise format to print to my AirPrint DirectWiFi printer….why!! The apple spreadsheet program can’t handle my excel file…so once again I have to us my personal windows laptop that never has any issues as basic and mundane as this.
waste of time for ipads 1/5
App glitches none stop everytime i attempt to login and even review any assignments. 0/10 an annoying app
iPad app 1/5
My worksheet is hung up and won't allow me to close it. It is useless now.
Excel by iPhone perfect 5/5
I use excel on my iPhone is very easy & perfect
(Fixed) Does not stay logged in 5/5
Update: the issue went away. It is back to the way it was before, I stay logged in with the rest of my 365 apps now. Updated to five stars. Thanks.
I’ve used this app for years but on my new phone it makes me log in every time I open the app and then still says that I am not logged in. I can’t trust that it is saving my work.
Good app 5/5
Not worth a crap 1/5
I shouldn't require to Login or have to pay for this app
By real capivara
It is alright.
24 years of Excel 5/5
I’m not sure what to say except, Excel is as simple or as complex as your needs dictate. I’m an intermediate user but I use what I need to the full. I know superusers who wouldn’t switch and I know of no other programs on the market that will compare for such a broad base of users and skill sets.
Does not sync documents well 1/5
I keep my spreadsheets in Dropbox so I can access them on both my computer and my phone. The app on my phone often stops syncing. This disrupts the workflow pretty badly. If it happens again, I’m going to switch everything to Google Sheets.
Excelente app 4/5
Con exel todo me resulta más fácil para mi trabajo y otras cosas
Won’t work when offline 1/5
By Nobody you know 87
I have a subscription. But I also work primarily in remote areas with no cell service. I have tried multiple times when offline to create new spreadsheets to track details of the site I’m working at and every time excel refuses to let me do anything because it can’t connect. It doesn’t matter how recently I last successfully connected… no signal right now then you can’t use excel
And this is exactly why I hate “subscription” services. Developers need to learn that not everyone is sitting in a conference room on main campus with gigabit speeds over fiber.
Oh well, there was a wasted subscription. Guess it’s back to Google.
Broken by greed 1/5
I have had these apps for far longer than most and I can guarantee we used to be able to create and edit documents without a subscription. I went to open this app and it no longer worked- immediate crashing upon opening. I updated in the hopes of fixing the crashing. Instead, a once usable product gets intentionally broken- after updating, I can no longer edit or create new documents without an office 360 subscription. I would call it clever but devious and greedy would be far better words.
Jeffrey A Shanty 5/5
Best app ever seen
Worst app ever 1/5
Not worth the money or time can’t do anything I need to do for my company!
Cannot function without paying for Microsoft 5/5
Of course I love it, there’s nothing to compare it to. What other options are there for word and excel. If you’re breathing, then you probably use them all the time.
So Far so Good! 5/5
Love it so far! Makes it easy to keep my data in Order!
Until this app works like it does on a laptop, it’s just not helpful.
I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to just align the functions and menus the EXACT SAME WAY as how it’s done on billions of other devices. Why do I have an M1 iPad if excel is basically a mobile on the go version where I can’t find what I need?
For the love of everything that makes sense, just make all of the MS apps DESKTOP CLASS.
Card View is Amazing 5/5
I tried Card View for the first time on my phone and it was probably one of the coolest features I’ve ever seen from Microsoft. I’ve never written a review before so that’s how serious I am about how cool this is. You can view a large spreadsheet so much more efficiently on your mobile device. Great job!
Not a good implementation of a spreadsheet 1/5
By Dr BigJim
Not only does this version of Excel not have all of the features of the full version of Excel, but it also suffers from the same limitations of the full version of Excel. It is a great example of what never to do in programming an interface.
Ruined by Auto Save difficult to turn off 3/5
When auto save was first on by default it was hidden a bit so that you wouldn’t realize you were altering files and dates of files. But at least you could turn it off once you realized.
As I thumb through on the phone accidentally clicking into cells or accidentally entering gibberish, the file would be saved and everyone who use that file would see it with today’s date. Files that are critical to the company should not be updated willy nilly and it causes me all sorts of trouble.
So instead of fixing this by making auto save off by default they instead made it on by default for every single file. It is now unable to be turned off unless you go in to every single file and turn it off before it saves the file.
Imagine having to go into the settings for hundreds or thousands of files to turn off the danger inducing setting that can’t just be turned off program wise.
Basically this mobile Excel punishes you and gets you in trouble with your coworkers.
Easy and fun to use.
I enjoy using it everyday!

Perfect for creating your own fully automated home budget!!
Extremely slow bugs 2/5
This app is running extremely slow- everytime I click the excel icon from SharePoint view it takes forever to load and I am on fast wifi so it’s definitely an app bug. Also an issue where SharePoint and excel don’t sync at times and some folders just hesitate to show - lots of bug fixes needed but nice when it works.
