Excellent
No macro support 1/5
By jjjammer
Many of the spreadsheets I often use have macros. This doesn’t support them. This feature is badly needed. Don’t need to be able to write macros on mobile, but really need to be able to execute them.
Ok 3/5

Backward compatibility now inefficient. Cannot override the maybe compromised warning. I know the file is good, they just want me to pay for 360.

Lacking Computer Version Power 3/5
By hho26bw
Has good features for routine worksheets but comes up short when trying to match computer version of Excel.
This is still the best spreadsheet but hopefully will grow to match its big brother.
Always solid 4/5

I like excel. Microsoft hit a home run on this program. I do however wish that there was the data validation feature from the desk top version. I love the multiple sheets feature. I also the healthy dose of templates. Great job Microsoft.
The last update really bad 2/5
By Sushi Restaurant owner
It is unable to sync with the Dropbox app so i can’t access files in my dropbox cloud. It is really hard to believe to experience this kind of issue from one of the world’s leading corporations because this issue should have been caught and fixed by the developers. Very naive mistake that happened unnecessarily due to their lack of attention!
P.S. The issue was swiftly resolved in a day so I can access my Dropbox cloud again. Thank you!
Excel ... yes it does! 5/5

I have been using Excel for several years, from work to home projects/recording keeping. Absolute genius of a program!
Opening file on screen home page 4/5
By shahrex
Can it be set up to where you can decide if you want to open up your file instead of it opening a file automatically when the app is launched.
Great for iPad 5/5

Once I learned how to use it, I’ve come to really like it.
Hijacked 4/5
By Zyxwvutsrq12345
Like others have posted - starting today I am completely unable to open my excel spreadsheets that are in DropBox - years and years of work now held hostage without any warning. It appears developers have now fixed the issue and files are again accessible - but it was a bit unnerving. Hopefully it won’t happen again and will continue to be reliable. 👍🏼

I can not link to my Dropbox account on this version.
Dropbox connection is broken 1/5
By ClaimsAdjuster777
Since the last update, Excel no longer plays nice with Dropbox. When opening the file from Dropbox, it says it can’t open the file in Excel, as it is stored in an unsupported location. This simply isn’t true. The file is in the same location it’s always been. Please fix this, as connecting with Dropbox to make changes to files on the fly is literally the only reason this app exists on my device.
New update unable to access Dropbox 1/5
By Ttyudhbvvv
After new update the app no longer allows access to Dropbox. Trying to open or reconnect shows "there is no network connection error". Meanwhile login pages show for the other third party cloud services.

Ever since the last update two days ago I cannot access my dropbox folder nor re-add it. Luckily my files are still in dropbox.

Suddenly unable to open files 1/5
By Amy.gancarz.
I have used the excel app to open files from Dropbox for a long time without difficulty. Today, however, the app gives me an error that it is unable to open the file bc it may have been renamed, moved, or deleted. I know this is not the case as I can open the same file from a laptop without an issue. I’ve tried various general troubleshooting techniques without any success.
Dropbox service issue 1/5
By SDCLC
Since updating to version 2.22, I can’t access my Dropbox files. I get an error message that No Internet Connection. This is very frustrating. How can I go back to an earlier version. Having similar problem with Word after a similar update. HELP!!!
Dropbox support has been iffy for a while. Now it just doesn’t work. 1/5
By Jhrogersii
Suddenly Dropbox just doesn’t work. I was getting error messages, so I deleted it and tried to recreate it. Now I get a message saying that I don’t have an Internet connection when I try to add it back. OneDrive will add. My Box Account still works fine. It’s just Dropbox. Considering how important Dropbox access is, this is pretty ridiculous, especially for paid 360 subs like myself. FIX THIS!!!!

IMPOSSIBLE TO UPDATE VIA iTUNES 12.6.3 1/5
By MaxAgHammer
11 Feb. 2019: I am writing this one-star review to notify developers that Apple has a major problem on their iTunes App Store. Since Thursday 7 Feb. 2019, it has been impossible to update apps or download new app purchases via the iTunes 12.6.3 iOS app store running on mac OS. The last time there was a problem like this, with multiple broken app URLs, Apple would not listen to users reporting this problem until multiple bad reviews started posting and developers complained. So I am doing this to get the word out. Apple continues to treat its 12.6.3 iTunes clients like garbage, trying to force us to use their new paradigm for iOS app distribution that makes managing a corporate fleet of iOS devices a giant headache. Cut it out, Cook! Do the right thing and restore iTunes 12.6.3 functionality for the iOS app store. Thank you to all the developers who receive these negative reviews and raise this issue with Apple’s rude and neglectful technical support on behalf of users who no longer have a voice.
Good 4/5

Good overall. Challenging to access and edit comments in cell. Used to be easier but the last update made it way more cumbersome.

Files held hostage by Office 365 1/5
By Seventhwave
Did you know that Microsoft just hijacked all of my files with an update? Suddenly, without warning none of my files can be edited unless I buy their $70-$100 annual subscription Office 365! Years worth of work and personal files locked out! You don’t need a gun if your Microsoft to rob people!

Simple fix 3/5
By my15clicks
If you switch focus from Excel to another screen for more than a few minutes it re-logs you in when you come back into Excel and you lose your place in the file. Pretty annoying.
Great APP Version, but . . . 3/5
By BrettSpivy
The cut/paste functions are cumbersome and it is nearly impossible to use if you have a sheet blown up for enlargement.
The inability to have more than one sheet open at a time makes referencing one sheet, to complete another one, hard and time-consuming.
The “Save A Copy” function works great as described but is a poor substitute for “Save As”, which would make it easier to complete a “Master” sheet and then save it under another name to preserve the “Master”.
Otherwise this is a functional, but lite version of the best SS program ever written.

It’s really convenient 5/5
By .pliu.
It’s really convenient to use excel on iPad but the only problem I have right now is that since we’re inputting numbers all the time, why don’t squeeze the letters and put number keyboard on the same place. So it’s gonna be so much easier.
Not as flexible on IPad as classic excel 4/5
By DianadePasadena
I used excel for many years when I was working. Now that I’m retired, I have an iPad at home and the excel designed for iPad does not have the fluidity. Cut and paste and insert is much more cumbersome. Would be better if I could give it voice commands.

By GeekOnWheels
I think you’ve missed the point of cloud storage...
Excel on my iPad overwrites changes I’ve made on my PC. I think it has a local copy on the iPad and it keeps saving that onto my iCloud Drive without checking that the version on the cloud is newer. Duh.

The paid app works up to standards on my iPad but will not let me sign in on my iPhone 7. Do I need to get a newer iPhone? Disappointing.
What Happened?!?!! 1/5
By Love2Rate
Why do I need to have an Outlook subscription now for an app I already had basic use of on my iPhone?? All I needed was to keep track of my walking mileage and now I am unable to edit and save a very basic Excel spreadsheet? This does NOT endear me to use other Microsoft products...guess I’ll reload Numbers and continue to support Apple products!
