  • Macros 3/5

    By ironman200
Si hubiera la forma de que funcionaran las macros en esta versión de Excel, sería el único dispositivo que utilizara.
  • Still Semi-Broken/Almost Unusable 1/5

BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN 12/10/18 FOURTH update in a row that hasn’t resolved the issue of the current file not staying open for very long and needing to be downloaded and reopened over and over again each time Excel is brought to the foreground after a short while, which several others reviews have mentioned. So disappointing, but I haven’t found a good enough iOS alternative to replace this. Yet.

The app works well so far. No issues.
  • Not Worth the Cost 1/5

    By Zargothius
I don’t use excel on the iPad very much. Maybe 2-3 times a year. Having to spend $7 a month is too expensive to have my own subscription. Can’t even get the subscription already purchased on another account to work. I think Google Sheets is my next best bet
  • Great app! 5/5

  • Scanning issue 3/5

    By Sean Francisco
When the Excel app for IOS is paired with a wireless scanner via Bluetooth, the scanned code does not completely register in the cell. Can this be fixed? Thanks
  • Complete GARBAGE 1/5

    By Muffstic
Always says can't open this file type but they are files opened in Excel on a PC. Complete garbage and needs to be fixed. Wish I could give negative stars -5 is the real rating
  • Captain 5/5

    By Tango Echo Hotel
It’s a great thing, but there’s still plenty of room for improvement! Make it more intuitive...
  • Dictation Still Not Working! 1/5

    By Ldyrose
So, I’m guessing that the lack of response means that there is no fix in sight? Dictation cannot be done in Excel or Word as the microphone on the iPad Pro does not work in either application. When attempting to use, it shuts down the app. Needless to say, my production utilizing both apps has decreased significantly. I was hoping to see a fix, or something. Like maybe: We are working on it, we are aware, take a flying leap, leave us alone...... Something?

  • Cloud Schmoud! 3/5

    By WN6K-II
Why do these software dweebs think we single-user non-working people can’t use & save on our own iPads. So infrequent the use of the aforementioned Cloud that it is impossible to remember what magical password or ID I was thinking of dons ago. This was not a problem before upgrades. Maybe the Millennials just write their passwords backwoods on their foreheads & post the pics on Social Media outlets. WN6K

  • Perfect for on the Fly 4/5

    By Hungry for Chicken
Don’t get me wrong there are definitely limitations with it being on mobile, some limitations even that I don’t think would be too hard to implement over time. That said though for what excel on mobile does offer it is very worth it. Whether I’m making moderate changes to an existing workbook or creating a new one before finalizing it on windows 10 (usually because of the limitations on mobile), it is very user friendly and allows everything needed to create a basic workbook. It still has room for improvement which is my reason for only giving 4 stars but in the end it’s a very good mobile adaptation.
  • Training intensive since tools are not easily found 4/5

    By Jqsat
I have used Excel for decades. Using on my iPad has taken of lot of googling training and shortcuts to tools. Very time consuming. I usually get frustrated and wait until I can do the work on my computer.
  • NOT the desktop version 1/5

    By Unkown0908
I purchased the new iPad Pro to replace my 2011 MacBook Pro. I love it for most things, but the Excel app has been my biggest disappointment. I am in the nonprofit world and creating the spreadsheets I need for reporting has proven to be extremely frustrating and full of glitches, especially when it comes to creating tables. Also, there are many features that the desktop version offers that the app does not. PLEASE make the app more like the desktop version.
  • Missing to many functions 2/5

    By Corrieash
I use Excel everyday for my job, just not the iPad version. One thing that is very annoying, is the size of the drop down menu box. I can only see about a 3rd of what is in the box!
  • Works really well 5/5

    By Texas__Girl
I wish more of the full functionality were included. I wanted to include pivot tables and spark charts, but couldn’t.
  • Slow 1/5

    By Marceppy
Slow, clunky, wasted lots of time trying to make it work.
  • Greedy 1/5

    By bryanpeabody
Less than 10" screens were supposed to be able to use the app for free. With the latest update this app is asking for a subscription fee. Might need to look for an alternative soon.
  • VBA 2/5

    By RaberRich
I need it to use Excel on iPad.
  • Great tool 5/5

    By Saluki Bob
I use this version on my IPad and find it very useful for small tasks on the go.
  • You want to charge me for a program I had already paid for? 1/5

    By JL Coop
I avoid on line and monthly charged programs like the pox. The upgrade from my fully functional app to this version eliminated that capability and made this a 365 version, which I did not expect or want. Never again will I use Microsoft office and forget googles lame version.
  • What I don’t like 5/5

    By JpfLongGamer
I can’t drag a cell to copy it across multiple cells like I can on my PC. It’s really annoying.

  • Neat but... 3/5

    By Dixie Lin
Wish there was a way to be easier to edit in VBA for school projects
  • Flaky 1/5

    By NorthTexasRedHead
Too convoluted to work on iPhone. Doesn’t save changes. Just too goofy and not intuitive or sensibly executed.
  • Feedbakc 1/5

    By ImHungryInTheBum
    Asks for feedback too often
  • Good but annoying 4/5

    By Kamarhi
So this is a very good version of excel. It is obviously missing some of the things needed to be a full version, such as hyperlinks within a workbook. Now the scary part. I bought this about 5 years ago. Every so often something pops up asking me to log back in. Today for the first time it is now asking me for a monthly subscription fee. Oh you better believe I am getting my money back if I have to subscribe to use this. Looks like Microsoft is struggling if they have to ask people for money like this.
  • Contractor uses in field 4/5

    By axxmaker
I like and use this program in the field. Would be better if the sum calculations were not erased when importing files in.
  • Simple 5/5

    By Lad67der
Easy for people that r not spread sheet savvy.
  • Бесполезное приложение 1/5

    By RudeJohnny1991
  • Just so so 3/5

    By iPad on the road
Does not have, or Help does not clarify, ability to set titles, so secondary sorting, many other functions. Opens a spreadsheet created on Microsoft Office, just very limited functionality on the iPad.
  • Huge Bug 1/5

    By ctthorne
Don’t move off the app without save your work first. Microsoft cares more about checking to see if you have an Office365 license than saving/preserving your work! When trying to create a simple worksheet that I was cutting and pasting to from a web page, when I got back less than a minute later, excel reset itself and then opened up the last thing I had open that had been saved! I lost everything I had done! Why would this happen? The only reason why it would not remain open is the same reason it takes so long to open a Word document in Windows... because it has to check to make sure you have a valid license... even if you had opened up Word not just 30 seconds ago!
  • Excel excellent 5/5

Downloaded this to keep track of my Christmas shopping spending and list. Its easy to use and works pretty much like the pc version. Great job Microsoft!
