Do not trust autosave 1/5
By Capt Scarlet
Just spent hours creating a spreadsheet. Autosave is on, but I just reopened the file only to find 70% of my work missing. Frustrating!!!
Lacking some key functionality 3/5
Very basic version of excel. Can’t work w Macros nor pivot tables.
Simply intuitive without loss of functionality 5/5
When excel was first released there was a last of comprehensive instruction, each command proving a dos CMD ascus direction on how to input the function. While lacking any description of the functions use(s) and the possible commands that could be coupled or integrated design a program or automate your projects to a higher degree of accuracy, providing ideas how to optimize and expedite your results. Excel has extremely extrapolated it’s capabilities, created an interface that’s user friendly, and with each iteration they’ve been gradually improving their product! Highly recommend!!!!
Can’t edit documents 1/5
I can only read my documents. But this app is unable to work like the desktop versions. This app does not let you select cells by tapping on them or by using a Bluetooth mouse. Horrible that my 365 subscription is useless to be used on an iPad Pro 2020.
Come on Microsoft, what’s the point of excel if you can’t change a cell value?
Security problems 1/5
Excel refuses to let me access my personal files unless I create a pin for my work account. Even after removing my work account.
They shouldn’t need me to give up my privacy just so I can use airprint!
So far really good. 4/5
Pretty happy with this version. Most functions are available and going PC iPad is very easy using one drive.
I’m hoping conditional formatting is supported in the future so -1 because of that.
It’s a very good app! I love it
Great app if you need Excel 5/5
I’m really surprised at the functionality of the app. Easy to navigate and use, even on my iPhone. And I can share spreadsheets easily.
Not Economical 1/5
You’re better off using Numbers if possible.
Need Option For Multi Select 1/5
Need to be able to select multiple values such as columns that are not adjacent to each other. This is a must in order to create graphs from data that isn’t right next to each other.
Need better mouse support 5/5
I use my iPad for editing spread sheet mostly exclusive. But I noticed with the new mouse support I can’t click on drop down menus. Please fix this. I’ve had to start using my Mac book instead . Thanks.
Won’t work on IPad 7 Generation Without Subscription 1/5
By Joe Paddock
Very disappointed, my old iPad had battery problems and I purchased an IPad 7. To my surprise I can no longer edit my old spreadsheets that contained my medical data unless I buy a subscription. I only access Excel 2 or 3 times a year.
App does not work with iPad Pro 1/5
By Commando Rudy
I have a paid subscription for Office 365 which you need in order to use with iPad Pro. Nonetheless, the app will not function for me and constantly advises me I must sign in but then denies the existence of my valid account.
If you intend to purchase this app for use on an iPad Pro save yourself the money as the app will not work. Ironically the free version will work on a regular iPad but the paid version does not work on iPad Pro.
An essential tool to have. 5/5
I enjoy it very much, it's a must have.
Features aren’t that good if you don’t make in-app purchases 1/5
By Ashleigh sharpe
I don’t have a lot of features like merging, labeling axes, etc because I don’t have a subscription, it’s very annoying and it prevents me from achieving better grades. Extremely unhelpful.
Pretty strong but with some difficulties 4/5
I’ve been a long time Excel user. I downloaded this version to use on my iPhone XSmax. The cloud features are excellent; it makes files available between a desktop and mobile devices very convenient and is more powerful than I expected.
Excel is a beast and users know how powerful a tool it can be. So I won’t go into depth on how great it is.
As for the user interface and usability of the mobile version, I knocked a star off. I’m a power user and for trying to write and edit functions, I found the learning curve more difficult than I would have liked.
I plan on going to YouTube or the Microsoft site for help, but I just wish Microsoft could invest more time and effort into making this more intuitive.
Thank you, Antonio
Limited to a fault 1/5
Simple features don’t work like the fill feature and you can’t open two excel spreadsheets and multitask on the iPads... which I use as my laptop so it’s pretty much useless. I can’t even insert worksheets from one workbook into another. Replace all? Doesn’t work. Conditional formatting? Nope! It’s like you don’t even want people to use it. Which is going to drive me to use numbers before it drives me to use windows. Canceling my subscription.

I am not an experienced Excel user. This App seems easy to use for the short amount of time that I have been working on spreadsheets 😃
Not for Mac 2/5
By Mikrosoft can Suk it
This software requires an absurd amount of money. Terrible for IPad.
7th Gen iPad support needed 1/5
Because the 7th Gen iPad is .1 larger than the 10.1 requirement I can’t use my free version anymore. It would be nice if MS changed their requirements to 10.2. I use this for personal use so I’m not paying a subscription for 2 excel sheets.
Mouse Support Coming 5/5
Any plans to add mouse support to add things like right clicking instead of clicking twice?
Love it! 5/5
Just like having my desktop/laptop in my hands. So easy to use
You have broken it utility in last version 1/5
I have been using Excel for 15 years, and 5 years on iPhone and iPad. I add data copied from Word, Outlook or Apple Mail into spreadsheets on a daily basis. I have been using the paste button in the FX field or inside a cell. Now, I cannot find the Paste function in either place when I hold down my finger. Occasionally I can past over a whole cell when the blue corners appear, but probably only 1:5 times—and each attempt forces me to go back to the original document and copy data again.
This is especially true when I am copying multi line addresses, as when the blue corner paste function works, I make 4-5 cells of data, instead of the single cell with multiple lines as before.
PLEASE FIX THIS SOON so I don’t have to go back to Numbers my data editing.

Awesome and Easy work flow 5/5
Awesome and easy workflow from phone to computer!!
Bottom tool bar 5/5
By Letting Us Down
Great app and very convenient!!
However, the bottom tools bar disappears when you need it most and only comes back up when it feels like, lol.
Overall, brilliant app!
Gotta have Excel 5/5
I got an Excel for Dummies book and starting to learn HOW to do graphs that I can print out. I love that I can make lists and alphabetize them.
By Listening to other podcast
I paid seven dollars for this not to work. Indexed to export a document form my email and it won’t do it. 7 dollars. In the toilet.
I found easy to navigate
Features missing? 4/5
Where is conditional formatting and other features provided in the desktop version?
Alot of functions are missing 3/5
I that been using this software since it’s birth and I continue to use it. I able to use it and pick it up. I have tried other yet I alway return to excel.
Where’s the Spell Check? 1/5
If it’s in the app it shouldn’t be that hard to find.
Too confusing 1/5
Excel for Apple is Goodreads 5/5
I use Excel to program in VBA. At the beginning it was very primitive and didn’t have any debugging tools. It gradually improved, and now I find it very satisfactory to work with. The latest program I am workin on produces distillation graphics comparable to the ones produced by other more engineering-prone tools.
All in all I am satisfied with Excel fo Mac
I couldn’t even use it the button for use without 365 subscription is not working making the app useless
Needs to support iCloud directly 5/5
By Alex Alexzander
A longstanding request I have to better integration with iCloud. I don’t much care for the OneDrive thing being so prominent. Another thing I’d like to see is better support for Apple mouse additions. I can touch the button for export, but I can’t choose it with the mouse. More mouse options will be welcomed.
Love excel 5/5
I am an account and love Excel.
Muy buena app
Aún hay oportunidades de mejora como los filtros, creo que pueden ser más efectivos
iPhone columns do not enlarge 4/5
By B-Nice Properties
The cells do not get larger on an iPhone.
Ex. $24,875 appears as #####.
How do you send? 5/5
By Jean Hurley
I need to know how to send it electronically.
By Best Zeph
Why can’t I have one time payment I like to own what I pay for this subscription stuff is annoying I will never subscribe and people should subscribe as well
No excuse to be missing basic functionalities 1/5
As an engineer, i use excel for a lot of data analysis. The fact that you cant modify data within an existing chart makes this app a joke. Adding secondary axes within plots is nonexistent. Microsoft please for the love of god these are basic features people need. If i wana create a plot of data from two nonadjacent rows, its a piece of cake on macOS or windows. On iOS or iPadOS this functionality just doesnt exist. Im not asking for full on VBA macro support.
This is BASIC and the fact that i cant do it prevents me from making my iPad my main work device. Was seriously thinking of buying an ipad pro to replace my laptop until i discovered this.
Disappointing for Power Users 2/5
I love excel, I use it every day at work, at varying levels of complexity. My most common use is summarizing large tables of data using Pivot Tables. Proper support for PT on my 12.9in IPad Pro are noticeably absent and I hope that this will be remedied soon. My iPad is powerful enough to handle it, and the inclusion of proper mouse support will change this.
Great App but never buy it from Apple Store!! 2/5
Microsoft Office 365 Personal is a must for almost everyone at work. Unfortunately it did not work when purchased from Apple Store. The year subscription purchased did now work after a few months and Apple just said it could not do anything about it, since the issue needed to solved by the developer, ie, Microsoft. Microsoft was very nice to assist me, but could not recognize the purchases from Apple Store. I ended up losing the money used to purchase from Apple Store and purchasing a new subscription from Microsoft that worked fine. If both Apple and Microsoft, huge companies, can not process the purchases and exchange information, the end consumer is the one paying the price twice. Great customer service from Microsoft, poor service from Apple.
if know how to work with excel on computer just the same thing on the Phone, súper recommended
