Live Photo issues 5/5
I LOVE THIS APP!
It gives me the perfect photo every time. I love how it also give you the option of the photo it took before enhancing it just in case you don’t like the enhancements.
The one problem I have with this app is that the Live Photo. It is amazing it keeps everything still except the moving object.
However it only works when it wants to. There are times when I want it to take a Live Photo of running water or moving lights but it doesn’t catch it. I’d love for there to be an option to turn Live Photo on and off instead of having it auto or off because like I stated the auto never works when I want it too.
Other than that I recommend this app to everyone!!
Great effects 5/5
Microsoft Innovates - Pix Camera is wonderful! 5/5
Thank you for the free upgrade on all my iOS cameras. Less editing later on with way less garbage in the image data.
🎯🎯🎯Silent and simple. Famtastico!!!
GREAT APP ~ TOP NOTCH 5/5
By Mark Spansel
MICROSOFT HAS DONE IT AGAIN WITH THIS APP.!
Wonderful technology all for free! 5/5
Just taking a moment to let the rest of the world know how excited I am about this app. Thanks Microsoft.
Missing pro mode from Windows Camera 3/5
This app is cool how it has photosynth but trying to figure out where stuff saves and not having pro mode (Iso shutter speed appature) please bring to Microsoft pixs
Great idea, poor execution 1/5
I really needed an app to scan the business cards and sync with LinkedIn. MSFT does not do a great job at recognizing cards (90% failure rate in my test - 1/10) and does not sync with LinkedIn.
Pretty darn good 5/5
Pretty darn good. It has a lot of fun features as well as several good ones ie business card scanning
Photosynth is BACK!!! 5/5
By That smart guy
I never thought this day would come, but Microsoft has resurrected its beloved Photosynth app as a feature of Microsoft Pix. I loved that app, and nothing has ever taken its place since it was retired several years ago. THANK YOU MICROSOFT! I
Love it 5/5

It is great I love it
MAJOR letdown 👇 1/5
By Disaapointed in Texas
👎. Needs Major Work - MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT especially with all the hype surrounding this app. I downloaded it and (attempted) to use it twice on almost a dozen cards - only 1 captured 80% of the information. The others were almost gobleydook with partial reads. I sat at similarly well-illuminated spots to do my captures.
Great free app 5/5
Works well and I love the price.
Totally broken 1/5
Since the latest update the app now hangs for 30 seconds after taking a picture, leaving you unable to do anything. Obviously that makes the app useless. How Microsoft releases code in this poor a quality is mind boggling.
This app is terrible 1/5
Use Pix to capture your memories 5/5
This is so much better than the iPhone 7 camera app. I use it often to take amazing cat photos. Apple has no idea how to process hair in a photo, but Pix gets it right every time. My only criticism is that as some of the other reviews note, it does consume a lot of battery.
Beats iOS’s Camera app, hands-off 5/5
I like this so well, I’ve hidden the native Camera app, and always use this. Unless you’re going to use ProCamera or it’s equivalent, it’s hard to use Camera and compose a better result, without using multiple apps.
So often I am taking shots in less than optimal conditions. I automatically take three shots, compare them on a big screen, take the best. Then crop it to adjust before I’ve cropped it, adjust brightness, contrast, and color. That all takes time, and triples my storage requirements in the interim.
MS Pix does more than that (less the cropping) automatically, using their AI, so deliver better shots the first time. And I am very happy with the results. I can still go in and fine-tune later, but don’t waste all the time. I get a better first-pass result.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Enhancement feature is nice 4/5
I like the enhancement feature of the app. Its not overkill and you can easily adjust it. I just wish there was a reverse option so i can flip between mirrored or not and change it. If that option is available its not easy to find or use.
Computational Photography, broken 2/5
Well, where to begin. Version 1.0 was fast, hard on the battery.
Later versions all got crashier and slower (using a snap timer rather than a frame timeout). Now a decent pic can take 30 to 45 seconds to snap a photo (whereas version 1.0 used a frame timeout of around 30 frames). Fairly useless for most photographers except as a shake reducer.
Now onto the problems.
Computational Photography is memory & CPU thrashing & battery draining. But in smartphones this is actually the optimal platform for this right now (GOOGLE PIXEL cameras being the prime example of competent optimization for functions of Computational Photography). However, aside from shake-reduction this Microsoft App is no longer optimally sharp or useful as the speed of version 1.0. The per-seconds clock-timeout is non-optimal for the decreasing value of this app. I don’t see “coded shutter technique” or even non-linear sensor refresh in play (instead of using a line-push CMOS racetrack refresh, a non-linear wave of coded push patterns create a coded pixel refresh image that is great for denoising & temporal sharpening as well as effectively doubling the image resolution on the refresh axis). Very disappointing medium-effort programming from a neglected gem of camera innovation without drastically changing the core hardware of the camera itself (GOOGLE PIXEL camera again showing how to properly polish a programmer’s gem of effort that Microsoft carelessly discards like a drunken slut at Christmas while greedily unwrapping more presents to almost immediately disregard to high value & effort invested in choosing them.)
Unless I’m doing badly lit shots or night shots, a 30 second snap time on still images is absurd.
iOS app 3/5

Nice picture and styles so amazing
I shouldn't have updated it... 1/5
This app was great before but, now this is the worst camera app after update.
there are too many bugs..

A very good camera.
Awesome app! 5/5
I love it!!
Great Photography 5/5
Love the app’s simplicity. Plus, it takes great pictures. Try it! You’ll like it!
Definitely a keeper! 3/5
Useful, quick, and good quality pics.
Surprisingly excellent 5/5
By Karen Vail
I’m hobbyist photographer and have a couple of professional (paid) iPhone apps for taking photos. Even though there is less manual flexibility, Microsoft pix seems to do a better job than all the others. The only criticism is that it doesn’t take advantage of portrait mode potential on the iPhone 7+, 8+, and X. This forces me back to the other apps, until Microsoft incorporates this feature.
Nice Camera App 4/5
Nice Camera App!
A good addition to your iPhone’s camera app collection. I like the ‘best shot’ & ‘enhance’ features when using the app to take photos.
Great app for photos
Demasiado buena para ser real 5/5

Really works! 5/5
Love the "best image" automation to pick the best shot from a series.
Love it 5/5
Can I just say !!! Love it 😍😊😆
오랜만에 좋은 카메라앱을 쓰게되어 좋습니다

My good old Lumias all supported 16:9 images, please also add this option to MS Pix.
we want Just ONE camera app 5/5
By Navid Eskandari
It’s wonderful App. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but:
It’s end of 2017 ❗️ and we want Just ONE Camera App ❗️
Please Integrate with other Microsoft Camera apps !!!
Integrate with :
- Microsoft Selfie app
- Microsoft Face Swap app
- Microsoft Sprinkles app
All in One.
Great quality of output, but... 1/5
Too slow to use. Initializing app and post processing is too slow.
so god 4/5
Really great app 3/5
But I wish it had HDR support. Sometimes bright subjects gets blown out. HDR would solve this. Also, would be cool to have 4k video recording and access to the new neural engine in iPhone 8/X.
Need more justification to use Pix instead of native Camera app... 2/5
Comparing with native Camera app, Pix is slower on startup. It doesn’t have panorama and portrait mode either. Is HDR supported? App startup performance is very important. Don’t make the same mistake on Lumia 1020. Lumia 1020 has a great Camera in terms of optical quality. But it’s so slow to start the camera app and focus speed is miserable. The poor app startup speed caused me to miss so many shots and I ended up ditched Lumia 1020.
Enhance option no longer available 1/5
Current version shows the enhance button, but it will not allow you to select it, even for editing photos taken in the app.
Great App! 4/5
I use this app often for taking clear pictures of my inventory for my online shop. It’s very helpful and gets the job done. However, it does consume battery life very quick. I find myself having to use it with a fully charged phone or having to take breaks in between to let it charge.
Also with this recent update, the app tends to freeze after taking a single picture, to where I can capture the subject on my screen but cannot take a picture since the button is greyed out. I have to close the app and restart after each photo is taken. Other than these issues, I will continue to use this app for all my photography needs.
Edit: Unfortunately, I can’t access my camera roll through this app after this update, as well as none of the pictures I’ve taken have saved at all. Unusable at the moment, I hope this is fixed soon.
App review 5/5
This is a excellent alternative for the iPhones default camera app I highly recommend it!! :-)
