Sign-in issues 1/5
The process for signing in and accessing the content is time consuming and cumbersome.
Not user friendly 2/5
Unable to find the e-edition. Puzzles are not the same as in the paper.
Great paper, problems with sign in 3/5
I love the Journal Sentinel, but it’s sign in is aggravating. I click to sign in, it welcomes me by name and says to click the Facebook icon to check in. I do, and the circle on the screen spins around and around, and the same screen pops up. This should not happen to a paying customer and needs to be fixed.
Easy App 5/5
Such an easy app with top notch journalism.
Late news 3/5
By anynickname nottaken?
JS content is pretty good...balanced political presentation, but if you’re looking for the pleasure of reading last night’s sports, good luck! Not so good in Packer land, Buckland, or Brewers’ Country. When that happens I want to give up my subscription.
Good source for news! 5/5
By Florida Cheeshead
I enjoy reading the app news when I’m able to have access. Am considering subscribing.
Great in depth news site 5/5
This is a great local news operation. Some of the best investigative reporting you'll find anywhere.
Since updating to the latest IOS the app is very unstable. Stories in page view don’t load or disappear and app crashes often. Unreadable as is. Hope it gets fixed soon or I will have to cancel.
Excellent News Coverage 5/5
I love the mix between local and national news. They report a balanced mix of politics.
No cancellation?! 1/5

The only way to cancel is call? No bueno
More Bice ! 5/5
By Pulitzer Judge
Dan Bice is an excellent investigative reporter. Packers coverage is best in the state. Great coverage of Madison politics, too...
Hometown news 5/5
I moved from Milwaukee a few years ago but keep in touch with my hometown by using the app every morning. It gives me the news I want when I want it without a hitch at all
App not working to allow a subscriber 2/5
I purchased a digital subscription with the J Sentinel online. I’m able to access the digital print of the newspaper ok, but when I try to use this app to read news emailed to me from the JS it allows me to read the first one, however if I wanted to continue reading any subsequent article the app will freeze and ask me for my email and password.
I have added my information to the app several times but keep asking me the same. It doesn’t process the subscription so I have to get out. If I want to read more I must go to the email or to the digital print.
I hope they can fix it.
Poor customer service 1/5
Every month, the JS deducts $6.99 for my monthly subscription, and every time I go into the app and sign in, it will kick me out and tell me to subscribe. I’ve spoken to several individuals in customer service, and each time they tell they’ve fixed it, and each subsequent time, the same thing happens! Think it’s time to cancel since I’m tired of their incompetence!

Milwaukee journal sentinel 5/5
Great sports and timely coverage
A great newspaper....
Packer news 5/5
Good source of packers news.
Box scores not viewable!!! 2/5
For months I have been unable to drill down to box scores on games. I have to go to other apps/websites to get that information. Very frustrating!
Can’t get print version 1/5
Ridiculous. App doesn’t do anything. Even if a subscriber can’t get anything different and no print version option.
You sign and still can’t read the articles! Makes me angry...might just cancel my subscription!!!
Great app and Newspaper 5/5
Good articles and local details for the Greater Milwaukee area and Wisconsin.
Omg this app is a joke 1/5
Seriously cannot unsubscribe from this. Joke.
Let me read the articles 5/5
JS APP 5/5
Love the digital app, so easy to use and I get to read only what I’m interested in. The only issue is the USA Today crossword puzzle in that it tends to be erratic.
General review 1/5
You leave content on the website too long and you try to repurpose it repeatedly as new content. May cancel our subscription. Not enough new information from day to day.
JS app 1/5
By no wonder you're closing down
The worst I have ever used. Looking for a review of a recent concert takes me to one from years ago. Looking for an article in YESTERDAY’s paper yields nothing. Totally frustrating and useless.
I may have to resort to scissors and a stamped envelope to share an article that a far-away friend might enjoy. Uggh.
Ps have tried six ‘nicknames’ as required, and all are already being used. And all express dissatisfaction.
Good paper 5/5
Overall good paper

Us online 3/5
By overseas travler not happy
My husband didn’t like not getting his full journal on line when we were overseas. We paid for it. You said when we tried to stop journal years ago that we could get it online. Well this trip we got Us today highlights. He wasn’t to happy!
The paper keeps getting smaller each year, so we want to read it as we always do not your new format when we travel overseas.
Excellent journalism - Glitchy App 3/5
The pay wall on this app is extremely frustrating, and it does not communicate well with other apps (ie Bleacher Report). It constantly tells me to subscribe, even though I’m a subscriber!
You have to pay to read the stories 1/5
The app may be free to download, but, that’s all that’s free. All of the stories cost money to read. That’s because the newspaper wants to keep the population that doesn’t subscribe dumb and subservient. They don’t want the general population to learn and become educated. It’s a pity.
By irritated by junk apps
The app never works on an iPhone. Never!
Stellar local coverage 5/5
JS provides great coverage of news and features.
Simply The Best 5/5
It is an amazing way to experience all the news for today. Thank you. Oh yes, the Packers and Badger coverage is outstanding
JS Online 1/5
Yuk! Looks like I’m going to have to move if I want to get a local paper that I enjoy reading. I signed up for an online subscription after reading free content for awhile. To this day I can’t tell whether I am reading content that is free or part of the paid subscription. I haven’t seen a new editorial in a month. I would send an email to get some clarification on this but there is no method to ask questions. The only email I can send is to the newsroom with story ideas. WSJ, here I come.
Great News 5/5
By jb dons.
Love the journal sentinel on line. Having lived in Milwaukee for a number of years it’s great to be able to keep up with current events.
HORRIBLE APP 1/5
This app has several times has Caused my phone to do the black screen of death. The phone had to reboot so it wouldn’t be permanently a black screen. Do not download.
First-Class News Organization 5/5
By John S., Long-Time Reader
As a long-time reader of this newspaper, starting in the 1950’s when it was The Milwaukee Journal, I always look forward to reading the local and state stories as well as the national and world news. As evidenced by their Pulitzer Prizes for journalism, it is a first- class news organization which I hope continues for many years to come. Thanks
Great Improvement 5/5
I love the new JS-Online App / Easy and quick to use and easy to connect with other papers all over the US
Too many ads for a paid subscription 1/5
Paid for a digital subscription, yet I’m presented with ad content constantly. I shouldn’t have to scroll through ad content endlessly.
Going downhill 1/5
You use to get 100 free stories per month. Now they’ve locked up the app so you get a paragraph and then an invite to subscribe. I don’t pay for what was once free. I’m done with this app.
Update. Now told I’ve reached my monthly limit of stories and I’ve read not one story this month. A rip off.
Pop ups 1/5
When did you start with pop ups???
Click bait. I’m trying to read obituaries and a box pops up that only allows me yes or go backwards out of the section I’m reading.
Wonder why newspapers are dead!!!
Digital subscription 5/5
Very handy and easy to navigate
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel 5/5
By Nan from Wisconsin
Live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Has the articles, news, and other features I enjoy.
Service terrible 1/5
Could be zero rating
Needs commenting function 4/5
I don't like that the app doesn't allow for comments on stories like the web version does. But the app itself works fine and has a decent set of features once you get used to using it.
iOS purchased subscriptions killed 1/5
After an app update I’m logged out, and I am also unable to restore purchases. It just does nothing.
