Useless- No deals 1/5
By VB Hiatt
So you check-in but no perk. You can get seat upgrades which are the same price as regular tickets. Common now give discount pricing for unsold seats or free seat upgrades. Deleted app cause it was useless.
Preventing phone from sleeping, using background data and draining battery 1/5
I stopped using the app due to battery drain issue on iPhone. See my comments below. I now use the My Provenue website for my tickets in safari browser. I physical reset the app permission settings in iOS but the app overwrote them as soon as it was opened. They added the option to use location services only while using the app but it still overwrites the screen brightness and other energy saving setting so the battery drain remains as of 5/19/2017.
23 year Astros season ticket holder. I have been using this app since the separated it from the MLB At Bat app several years ago. The latest update is using more data than in the past. Surprised when my my ticket was still on display after I placed iPhone 8s Plus back in case. The screen did not turn off after at least 20 minutes since last use. Battery went from 99% to 78%. Never had a sleep prevention issue with any other app before. Using location services all the time except when using app. Need an option to use location services only while using app. Tickets can no longer be added to passbook and you have to be connected to the Internet to display tickets because they are not saved in the app. The History of tickets and seating area when you check in showing the actual seat location would be helpful for repurchasing the same or similar seats by favoriting the location.
Need the ability to see game attendance. It would be helpful to know which games you missed or system did not update so you can easily find your unused tickets. I almost missed out on perfect attendance at my home park because the park system was down but I was able to take a photo inside the stadium on the date in question and use google maps history to show I was in the stadium at game time. I also took a photo of the guy working on the fiber optics cable to show the system had issues. Repeatedly have issues where the gate scanner does not print Ticket/Seat Locator.
How about Instagram support.
MLB.com requires customers to download this app in order to view tickets on mobile devices; this is likely so that they can boost the number of downloads it has. This is the only reason why I have this app.
Too many bugs 1/5
No matter what I try, can’t get the app to log into my mlb account this year. Keep getting a “network error” response.
Horrible App 1/5
App is horrible, can’t change password from within the app. Not sure what the max number of password characters is, it’s not very long.
MLB instructions for diamondbacks summer pass are wrong, don’t work.
Requires sign-up to use... 1/5
Tickets won’t display 1/5
My tickets displayed the night before the game but when I was in line to go in they wouldn’t display. I had to access them through ticket master. Not a dependable app when it has to be!
App is hacked 2/5
By Meg construction
As soon as I download this app I received 2 emails that had viruses attached. Email said it was to confirm purchase of the app. Don’t open the attachment
Can’t get tickets I bought 1/5
This MLB Ballpark app and website are so convoluted and labyrinthian that I can’t get the 5 tickets to a baseball game for which I paid $223. 2 hours wasted so far, and I still get get the tickets I paid for.
Inexcusably Bad 1/5
First of all it doesn’t retain CID. If AMZ can figure it out they can. It also does not retain delivery method which makes no sense. Slow network on their side. I thought I completed a sale, checked their inventory and my seats were no longer available but they didn’t show up in my inventory. If they had said “wait 3 minutes for user inventory to update” I could sort of understand although the update should be near instantaneous. App blurb boasts Apple Wallet functionality but it is certainly not available for the world champion Houston Astros. Stupid password requirement. No special characters allowed, why? Anyone want to bet where the security will breakdown? I bet the systems supporting the app will earn headlines for the loss of customer data long before my password is cracked (never so far). Obvious differences in pages which have the same functionality and should have the same presentation. I could go on but what’s the use? This app was obviously built by mediocre developers managed by those for whom this is “their first rodeo”.
The only way they could make it worse is to take a page out of the Chase book and have surveys that ask “what did I like best”.
Appp hard to use. 1/5
By 2017 Camry owner
I agree with a previous review. I’ve been to 36 different Mlb ball parks over the years and am trying to see them all. (5 to go). App is frustrating to use when visiting different teams and you get bombarded with team emails when al you do is visit the one time. Wish there was a negative star review.
Why did this app get worse? 1/5
By CHINO BEER
My season ticket holder friend sends me tickets on this app. I used to be able to send them to my wallet. Why did they stop that capability? That just made things so much worse. I will now stop using this app unless they bring back apple wallet support. Worst decision ever. So dumb what was the reason for that?
App is just slow 4/5
This app is the most inconvenient thing imaginable. The point of apps is to make things easier, not a pain where you have to use MLB stuff to do something an iPhone already does.
Can’t Tell Time 2/5
I’m trying to check in at Safeco Field 10 minutes before game time. The app errors out indicating Check in Opens 3 hours before game time. Check isn’t possible.
Works fine now
In App Account Creation is broken & bad user workflow 1/5
By Hockey is better anyway
Would give zero stars if possible. I am describing two problems with the app below: 1) in-app account creation 2) the number of accounts I have to “create” to link an already purchased ticket with my app.
Friend is trying to share my ticket with me. Sends me a link, doesn’t work - I get an error that reads “link is invalid”. Okay sure, not great, but stuff is weird sometimes, I’ll download the app. whatever.
So I go to download the MLB app thinking I could access my ticket that way. But no, that would be good product management! 👀 😡
Anyway, I download this app and click sign up. Enter email and password. App gives no response; doesn’t proceed to a new screen, doesn’t provide a flash notice, literally the screen does not change at all, until I hit submit again and it says that email is already associated with an account (which I can assume is the account I created not five seconds before).
Try to login with the email and password I just set up, and no response. Go to my email, and it confirms I set up an account, but the email says I need to GO ONLINE TO SET A PASSWORD. Why even have a sign up option in the app if YOU KNOW that you can’t sign up in the app??
So I go online and set up a password. The link in the email does not take me to a password creation page, because again, that would be good product management. I click on the little settings icon in the upper right hand corner of the website, and set a password to the email I’ve been using. Nice, I can now login to the app with the email and password I provided it originally 👀
My friend is like “cool lemme share that ticket with you what’s your email?” I give my friend the same email I used to set up the account. He sends it, so I go to look for it in app. But what’s this?? I have to link my ticket account to access any tickets, okay easy enough...oh wait no, for some reason these two systems don’t talk to each other, so verifying my email address doesn’t work. I have not purchased MLB tickets, so this makes sense really; MLB ticketing doesn’t have my credit card info etc. However, instead of linking to a place where I can set up a ticketing account, it just says “return”. Why 👏 Does 👏 This 👏 App 👏 Exist 👏 If👏 It 👏 Is 👏 Not 👏 A 👏 Place 👏 To 👏 Buy 👏 Tickets 👏
Major League Bummer: No Wallet Support 2/5
This is a perfectly good app to have at the ballgame with one exception—no wallet support. Sad.
Crashes when opening the schedule 4/5
With the Houston Astros selected, the app crashes instantly when attempting to open the Schedule tab.
This has been happening every time for a week now.
Very difficult to use 1/5
No helpful explanation for changing password
Waste of time and crap! 1/5
By Gingerkid did your mom
Terrible design & difficult to use 1/5
The app is confusing and poorly designed. Very disappointed with the lack of features and functionality for something related to professional baseball. Easily the worst app I have ever installed and only did it because we were stuck with group ticket order for a little league event.
Lost tickets 1/5
Bought tickets on SeatGeek, who linked us to this app as the only way to access them. However, we got an error message opening tickets from the app and never got to use the tickets and ended up missing the game. Customer support did not help us and was terrible
Won’t Open 1/5
I’ve deleted and re downloaded it several times by all I get is a “unable to load data” message and nothing even opens. Total crap.
By fdxxdxcbjn bgccft
I didn’t know I had to agree to share my personal data download a BS app in order to go to a game. Maybe I’ll start liking soccer.
Cannot link/totally useless 1/5
I have never before felt the need to review an app but I am so beyond frustrated with this app I felt it necessary. After buying Rockies tickets online I get an email about this app. I decide to try it out but it refuses to link my ticket account I created when purchasing my ticket with the app. The link in the verification email they send in order to link the two accounts leads to a baseball news page and not to the password setting page it claims too. I’m going to the game tomorrow and it would have been nice to have my tickets and ballpark info all in one place but I’ve given up. Don’t waste your time with this app.
Too much trouble 1/5
Last year every time I trued to upgrade cont access. The ballpark had no idea what I was talking about. Very bad public relation. Don’t they test these things ahead of time apparently NOT.
Tickets disappeared 1/5
By Lucas Giolito
I purchased tickets on this app, and after I scanned in the stadium, the tickets disappeared so I couldn’t show them to the usher. That meant that I couldn’t go to the seats I purchased and had to sit elsewhere, causing me to miss the game. The interface is also confusing and hard to navigate
Worst app ever 1/5
By tech-savvy millennial
The process to redeem tickets is the worst process I've ever encountered. I am a tech-savvy millennial and have never seen something so horribly setup. Claiming group tickets is even worse. I will never host another event at the ballpark again because of the frustration that claiming the tickets brought.
Why is an app needed to receive a shared ticket? 1/5
By Bradley Earl
I was required to install this garbage when friend shared tickets to a group. Why doesn’t mlb allow simply emailing a pdf of the ticket. Will uninstall as soon as I’ve entered the stadium.
Utterly miserable experience 1/5
I made the mistake of buying single game tickets to a Diamondbacks game and selecting mobile delivery.
I’ve had to install this app, link an account, call DBacks customer service and still no sign of my tickets even though DBacks CS can see them. The last resort will be to show up early at the Ballpark and physically have the box office print them.
I hope tomorrow’s game is a good one because it’s the last time I’m buying tickets.
Utterly useless and hard toNavigate 1/5
I was told this was the only way to access tickets purchased and transferred to me by my company. Nowhere in the app does it tell me where I can easily access my CURRENT tickets. I had to stumble around and figure out to click on"My Braves Account" where I was then sent out of the app to login to my MLB Ticketmaster account. Such an utter waste of time. When I buy concert tickets, I get emailed a link or o can just login from any device to my Ticketmaster account and see/print my tickets. Very frustrating.
Could use some additional functionality 3/5
By Joey Chicagofan
I’m a season ticket holder for my home team. I usually share tickets with the same group of family/friends. It’d be nice if I could save their email addresses in an address book on the app so I wouldn’t have to take extra steps or type the whole email address every time I transferred tickets.
Great Concept, Poor UI 2/5
A few initial thoughts. Purchased tickets need to be easily visible in one list. You also need to support Apple Wallet, let me add my tickets there and not rely on your app.
So Complicated 1/5
I’m sorry to say this and I rarely write reviews. Purchased future tickets for the game (3 months away). I have to select buy tickets and scroll all the way to the date of the game in order to find my two purchases tickets. Why not just make short key button where it say “My Purchase Ticket.” Please also make an export to my Apple Wallet where I could save my ticket instead of having me screen shot my ticket.
In the future if this issue haven’t been fixed I might as well just do the old fashion way and have them mail the tickets to me.
Need To Be Able To Print Tickets 1/5
If there is a function for this, I have no idea where it’s hiding. To make all of my guests download the app is silly. Since we won’t be showing up together, but rather meeting at the game, it requires them to download the app or me to wait outside for them to show. Pretty inconvenient
Great start 3/5
By Rich G - elite
Well done app with ballpark features, etc.
Would love MLB to provide more info/video to historical games for journal.
*update journal section historical check in feature doesn’t seem to be working.
Specifically, adding double headers historically isn’t registering.
Love it 4/5
Love the app! Would really like a feature though to be able to change the order of photos inside a game, as well as edit uploaded photos captions.
Worst app ever 1/5
Absolutely stinks difficult to download tickets transferred from someone else. Causing delays getting into ballpark. MLB is little league
Use it once and you’ll be spammed forever 1/5
Don’t even think of using this app. There is no way off their spam list. Unsubscribing accomplishes nothing. And beside the app is useless. A total zero.
Awful functionality. 1/5
By some guy 12
Does not work. Cumbersome, poorly designed
No Apple Wallet/Passport Support 1/5
Frustrating not to be able to download tickets to your wallet on iPhone. If wife/friend doesn’t have app on phone and they want to get up from the seats, they have to take my phone or I have to get up and show the usher. Give me a break. Make it easier to share a ticket and at the very least, let me add tickets to my wallet.
Doesn’t work 1/5
Check in feature does not work... it’s been a week...
Inefficient to say the least 1/5
By Coco Cannatti
I cannot get my tickets from this app, which is the only reason I DLed it. When I go to create my ticketing account it errors out that “a ticketing account with this email address does not exist for this team”. Well obviously, because I am trying to create one! I have an MLB account and have done everything that is said to be required. Very frustrated.
Let us move tickets to Apple Wallet!!! 1/5
By Steve from the Ranch
This app is worthless when it requires a Wi-Fi connection to access tickets. My connection was barely available at the gate at Coors Field; fortunately I had printed my tix as a backup.
Let us save tickets to Wallet SK they’re accessible without s connection!!!!
Opening day, “Can’t Load Data.”
App won't open 1/5
Downloaded the app and it won't open. I have a compatible OS. Not sure how I'm going to get my ticket to get into the game. This is trash.
What happened? 2/5
The “unable to load data” thing got old a few days ago.
I like this app and use it, until now.
App unable to open 1/5
Since the update, I have not been able to open the app on my iPhone 7.
