Mobipax MP Lightning Detector

Mobipax MP Lighting Detectors are physical cell-connected smart city devices designed to help protect people around Parks, Playgrounds, Golf Courses, Tennis Courts, Sports Fields and anywhere people gather. These units should be part of any Lightning Danger mitigation system. This application allows users to see the status of nearby cell-connected Mobipax MP Lighting Detectors and allows device administrators to control assigned devices' siren volume, lights, hours of operation and to test devices. A Mobipax MP Lightning Detector is a great safety addition, providing real-time, on-site, lights and siren to indicate detected lightning. Mobipax MP Lightning Detectors are 6' tall, made of sturdy Aluminum and Polycarbonate. Bright RED, ORANGE, YELLOW and GREEN lights indicate storm intensity (NEAR, IN-AREA, APPROACHING) for lightning up to approximately 24 miles away, a volume adjustable siren attracts your attention when lightning is detected. The MP Lightning Detectors come in two types: Cell-Connected and Non-Connected (stand-alone). The Cell-Connected units allow assigned Administrators to control hours of operation (so the unit can be set to not wake schoolyard or golf-course neighbors at 2:00AM). Administrators can remotely set the siren's loudness and can remotely test devices. The Cell-Connected devices also allow any user who downloaded this free Mobipax MP Lightning Detector Monitor and Control application to see the status of units in their area. The cell-connected devices are especially useful for municipalities and for integrating into smart-city systems. The Non-Connected units provide the same immediate on-site bright lights and loud (manually adjustable) siren lightning alerts to people in the area, but can not be monitored or controlled by this application.
