Useless app! 1/5
Stopped support and bricked my hub without any notice making the weather station a useless piece of junk that will no longer connect to this app, or share my weather info with Weather Underground. SHAME!!!

I’ve had the 5-1 weather station for several years now and enjoyed it when it worked.Being retired I spent a lot of money for the station.I liked the fact I could share my information with Weather Underground and view it on my phone or computer.But nothing works anymore,just the display. For support they want you to call them long distance, I don’t think so.You would think a company smart enough to develop a weather station,could develop a app that was reliable. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Only had the unit about 6 months before they decided to end life. Required everyone to buy new model. Should have provided an open source way to get the data rather than lock into their cloud solution.

Have loved Accurite for a couple years. Loved using the app to see what was going on at home. Then one day my current hub was out of date. This was only after 6 months of having the station. Now I find out that I need a new hub which is $150 plus. I am not made of money. Stars would be higher but now have a weather station that I have to be home to get info.

Losing contact with remote sensor too often
Then long process to delete everything and setup from scratch.
Go for Netatmo - much more reliable and you can use you location from phone gps

Enjoyed for about 1.5 year, then was told needed to buy a another model as support was ending for current model. I own several units, they all lose memory and historical data. I will be replacing all with another brand.

Got one of these accurate units for Christmas in 2018. Worked great for a few months and I could check my home weather from work and around the globe. Then in ~April 2019 Accurite made a brilliant decision to stop all support for the existing unit and launch a new one. The ability to log onto the app and see weather conditions at home disappeared, and instead I was told to spend $150+ on a new system because the company decided to stop supporting the old version.
I’ll never support a company like this, as my system is virtually worthless now. Their technical support is a joke s you can’t even get to talk to someone. This type of behavior should land their leadership team on the street with no job or better yet in jail for fraudulent behavior.

I was so excited when I purchased my weather station, and one of the big appeals was being able to remotely see the weather conditions at my home. Then, all of a sudden the app no longer works - what a shame, I don't recommend this app to anyone. No updated weather - nothing ; no charts - nothing . I reinstalled etc - nothing works.
Internal Hub 3/5
I had the older internal hub which worked fine up until Acuririte decided to withdraw internal support and then tell customers upgrade their hub for $129. That’s a bit rediculous but there wasn’t much of a choice for the consumer. I waited until perhaps a better price came up at either Amazon, Acurite or some other weather monitoring website. I did miss two savings opps on Acurite but decided to take advantage of the Amazon Prime Gift Card ($70 Savings) which I used to purchase this item. With one day shipping it’ll be in my hands tomorrow this time and maybe my Acurite wesather station will be talking to the world WU soon. I’ll update you as soon as soon as I get this thing hooked up.
I hate to see all here negative reviews but hopefully Acurite has smartened up and took heed of their customers comments.

Works for me. I don’t use a Hub, just direct to the computer from the display. Computer stays on 24/7. Have a 5 in one sensor for nearly five years, on the same computer.Now plaining to upgrade to the latest Atlas station. This iOS app works just as well as the PC app. Just sign in and go!

Extortion is the only word I can use to describe what these clowns are doing. They discontinued working hubs forcing upgrades at $100 each after discounts. I will toss the entire unit and buy from a reputable company before a penny goes to this org. Attempted phone calls go to recordings. Emails go unanswered. Chat goes into endless loops of countdown to position 1 and then back of the line again. Terrible. Stay away from this cluster.

Completely worthless ap. Weather station works good but instructions to add your device to ap are incomprehensible. Have tried a dozen times to add a device and can’t make it work.

App used to work great, but about 2 weeks ago it went out and has not worked since. Tried signing out and back in, deleting the app and re installing it.... unplugging the devices and then powering them back on... nothing....
So the product is 3 years old and is obsolete. Not at all acceptable. Look at all the poor reviews and the fact that you can no longer get ahold of people via phone. I am sure there is some BS excuse there too. Had I known when I was purchasing this that in 3 years it would be rendered useless I would have never purchased it. I would have looked else ware. Now you want me to purchase more of your product. I feel that you need to send me updated new product as a replacement for what you will no longer service. Please get in touch with me personally and let’s talk.
Obsoleted equipment 1/5
The system quit working because the manufacture obsoleted the Smart hub. They indicated that they had sent emails out letting the customers know that this was going to happen. I do not remember ever seeing an email about the obsoleting of the equipment. It cost me a little over $100 to get the new designed smart hub. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Wind speed never has read Accurate and the Water Level’s are questionable I would not buy this product again after I pay the $65 to upgrade my system junk

I bought a second 5 in 1 station with the accurate access when the smart hub quit being supported. I’ve had trouble with the app from the beginning. It seems to always have a poor signal and data never displays correct info. The base station thing that came with the first one works fine only the access device doesn’t. Unfortunately I want to use the app. I won’t be buying another one, I’ll go to a different product.

It appears as of 2/28/2019 this app no longer works nor can I communicate with Chaney instruments. Very poor customer service. Non existent.

My app stopped working. My weather station and the indoor display were working, the computer program that collects the data looked like it was running. I even checked my station on the weather underground website, it was still working (getting my weather from my weather station). So I thought maybe there was a driver update, after I had done a quick delete and reinstall the app that didn’t change matters.
So I searched Acurite’s web site on our Dell. Nothing! No update visible. I did a search engine search for problems with the app.... nothing. My hubby searched on his phone on the acurite website and SURPRISE! There it was in PINK even, a message telling PC users to ‘click here’ for an important message.
Turns out on February 28, your PC won’t send the info to update your app any longer (windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7). It tells you that you must uninstall the old version and install the new one, and ‘click here’ to install the new version. And your credentials will carry over they promise, however you will need to start sharing again.
HOW WAS THIS NOT A HOME PAGE ALERT? Or a pop up when we opened the app??? LAME.
Acurite you dropped the ball here and failed on so many levels.. if you answer users problems with details in forums like this you will have less angry costumers, fewer low ratings, and better customer satisfaction. Your website on the PC have no inclination that dooms day was February 28th, 2019. Shame on you! How hard would it have been to place a clickable link that offered the answer and the CURE to so many woes on THE HOME PAGE?!?
And you should be sorry, and tell people you messed this important update up.
I hope this helps people who are looking for answers but only getting wait times...
Go to the acurite web site, click in the search bar, type in PC Connect for Windows Important Software Update: step 2 is the clickable link to download the fix.

Not supporting my brand new weather station 1/5
I’m writing this review less than one year following the purchase of my weather station. The app was great when it was supported but now the weather station I own is no longer supported by the app. They want me to buy another app for over $100. I can’t even monitor my house temp when I’m away. This is a warning to any who plan to purchase a 5 in 1. Very sad. I won’t be buying a second 5 in 1 for my camp now. AcuRite should consider their current customers before making changes like this.

I like the app, but I can't think of a couple improvements.
1. For the rain gauge, it would be nice to see the rate, inches per hour or something like that, instead of just the accumulated rain so far that day.
2. If he used buttons instead of the scrolled list for selecting sensors, switching between sensors would be easier.
3. It would be nice to have an easy way to look at previous days, without having to specify a single day custom date range.
It no longer works, so I went from five stars to one star.
Worthless app without SmartHub service. Spent a lot of money a little over a year ago, for absolutely nothing. Bye, bye, AcuRite products. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

The app stopped working on my phone. You can’t call customer support. You have to live chat or email. Plan on waiting most of the day if you want to live chat. Definitely need better customer support!!! When it was working the app was great. Really disappointed they don’t have anyway of trouble shooting problems!

Constantly crashes and loses signal. Such a terrible design and concept. Quit selling products if you’re not going to continue to give support on them. This is terrible. Who the he’ll continue to sell products they no longer give support for im not happy and probably will purchase something different. Shame on you.

Almost having the system one year, now they are phasing out the product I purchased last year and received e mail that system would stop working feb 24, they want people to spend more money on newer system, really?? We purchased extended warranty that was also down the tubes. I’ll look at another company before I give this company more money. That’s my thought.

I love the app except for the fact that it only updates every 5 minutes. More frequent updates would be much better for wind gust readings.
Acurite is acuwrong. 1/5
The app shows charts and if you go to winds it shows high speed and average speed. But that is not accurate. The high is the average of the averages. So if you have winds of 27 mph it will average it out and show high speed is 23 which is wrong. It should show the actual high speed not the average of the averages.
What idiot thought that would be good? If the sensor registers a high of 30 it should use that in the charts as the actual high speed. Why have an average speed and a high speed when high is still just an average? That is just stupid.
I was going to give it a higher rating but I gave it the average of the average instead.
The station is great but this app is not accurate and is therefore useless.

My accurate pro is reporting to Weather Underground but can’t connect to this app. Also my new pro constantly disconnects from from the outside unit. Not good.

Nice app but the wind in Dashboard always shows “SW” in the iPhone app. Ok in the Mac and iPad.
Also, I miss not having the wind direction in Charts and details.

I do not have a PC. Per instructions only a PC can be used to set it up. I could not find any way to set this system up just using an Apple device. Instructions are VERY short and not understandable.

I use this quite often to review my station’s health. It provides more station detail than the WU iOS app for station reporting.

While I like the product, getting help from AcuRite or Chaney is impossible. I have tried to get someone to talk to unsuccessfully and their website is woefully inadequate in answering my question or helping solve my problem!

Not a bad app, do wish it had a widget, landscape mode to match iPad, etc. Just got it yesterday and have been locked to my PWS ever since.

Chart Data Incorrect 1/5
Still incorrect. No update in 8 months, are you kidding me! Chart data time is messed up, I’ve posted to support, but nothing a complete waste of money! It would be zero stars if I could!
Just noticed that my chart data on my iPhone and iPad are in correct. The 24 hour time from is all messed up. I’d post a image if I could. Don’t know If this is caused my the new Access hub or app. I rebooted my iPhone and still is incorrect. I post an image to the forum on Acurite.

Saved my greenhouse 4/5
I’ve got 2 Acurite sensors in my greenhouse, and a couple more at various locations in my yard, mainly for temp and humidity monitoring. They saved my greenhouse full of tropicals and orchids by sending alerts to my email, setup specifically for this. I’ve recently acquired an Apple Watch 4 and would really like for the app to access the watch so I don’t have to keep the iPhone on my person all the time. Is this a possibility for the near future? If this happens I’ll up the review to 5 stars.

I've had this for almost a year and the app and weather station work well. I would love to see the app redesigned as it's definitely not the greatest looking. Would also love to see Google Assistant integration.
Acurite AND Chaney Instruments 1/5
Acurite’s weather station is of very poor quality. You can expect the humidity to be constant at 99% within 3 - 4 months of installation. In almost 2 years of use I replaced the wind cups twice due to wind breakage and according to their software it capped at 25 mph.
You can not realistically reach their customer service and when they do reply after 30 - 45 days they are absolutely no help.
I’ll never own another AcuWrong product.

I currently have the newer access device, and the older smart hub running. The smart hub works fine, always reporting accurate rainfall. However, the access device has recently started reporting “ghost” rainfall, i.e. rainfall that hasn’t happened. For example, it has reported 1.6” so far today(it’s now 8:18 AM), and we have had NO RAIN TODAY.

Ever since iPad upgrade tp IOS12, this apps crashes and gives me a. Red error at bottom that states: “The operation couldn’t be completed. Software caused connection abort”. Judging by all the other previous comments I see this vendor could care less. Garbage.

Unable to login with credentials on Mobile 1/5
I had to change my password and when I went to enter it on the iPhone after signing out of the app it tells me the password is invalid. Okay, I test it on the site from my desktop, works fine. Go back to the app and nothing, never lets me access my info. Sure would be nice to be able to use the app again!
No Change in Temp 2/5
Current temp has read 108 deg for the past 3 weeks, 24 hours a day. Also, states that no data is available to allow history graphs to be displayed. Tried reinstalling app and rebooting weather station but no luck. Forecast works fine!
