Great Tool for Competitive Lifters! 5/5
I have loved this app for awhile and it just keeps getting better!!! Critical that I can see all my nutrients and track by grams versus ounce!!
I love this app! 5/5
I find this app very beneficial but it would be a lot more convenient for me if it could sync data from either the Health app on iPhone or the HelloFresh app or both. Also it would be great to be able to track body fat percentage as well as weight. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Nothing works 1/5
I have both the app and the website subscription. None of the features work. None of my custom foods show up to be entered as ingredients for my recipes. None of my recipes I entered on the website show up at all after trying to sync the app. When I search for ingredients for my recipes, there are like 40 duplicate entries and you have to scroll forever only to see that the food you are looking for isn’t even there. Still waiting to hear back from customer service about all of this...What an effing waste of money.

This app is so inferior to MyFitnessPal. Do not waste your time or money. Almost everything I attempted to track was not recognized. I never had that problem with MyFitnessPal.
Data volatility? 2/5
I loaded the app back in January but didn’t get started using it. I’ve been using it for about a week and except, for when the barcode scanner pulls up the right food, find it pretty cumbersome. I’ve also had issues with meals or whole days disappearing. A day later.
Calories + Macros: The Best Way to Loose 5/5
I lost 20 pounds and with the help of a coach learned how to eat properly, control volume and keep my weight consistent.
This app is robust and reliable. The developers are improving it periodically!
Search function is lacking 3/5
The foods search bar rarely turns up relevant results, even when providing great specificity of brand and product. On the other hand, the barcode search does work fairly well. Other macros trackers seem to have more verified results for popular items used by the masses.
The food diary page is perfect with macros listed for the day, each meal, and even each food item entered. It shows a countdown so you know how many more of each macro you need for the day to meet your goal.
This is the least intuitive tracker I’ve seen. Hate The time I’ve spent on this and it’s lack of user-friendliness. It’s simply clunky.
It’s been 100% worth it 4/5
Clunky to learn but once you have it not too heard. I’m trying to do Keto, love having my cumulative numbers to adjust my last intake for the day.
Not for me 1/5
By Teacher. Mom
This app does not give me any options for foods when logging. It is not as user-friendly as many other apps available. There are some great features however, the features that are most beneficial to me and my goals are lacking.
Bring back the copy meal feature! 2/5
I was a loyal user of this app, but the most recent update took away the feature I use the most - the copy meal feature. Now you can only copy the entire day. It is completely useless since I frequently repeat half my meals but vary the others. Now I have to reenter every food item every single day or copy the meal and delete half of the entries.
Also, there should be a way to share meals with other users. My fiancé and I cook together but have to enter everything into each of our apps individually.
Super handy! BEST app! 5/5
By DL Bear
This app is GREAT for tracking macros. It’s got a huge database of foods, and adding custom foods is easy! You can set Your goals, then monitor your progress throughout the day as you enter food. I especially like being able to “Change amount Eaten” to adjust if necessary, at meals. There are several options for adding and adjusting foods. I’ve looked at many apps for tracking food, and this one is just the best!
Shaking my head-at this app. Still. 1/5
The reviews that claim Macros is easier to navigate than My Fitness Pal have to be fake. I have wanted to love Macros since the day I bought it. I never got there. Macros is the most difficult food tracker on the market. I come back to this app every 6 months and the app is still unusable. Many many items are not in the database. Still!!! To (still) spend 15 minutes inputting my breakfast is not acceptable. It is so darn difficult to input an item. And to have to input the meal again and again (still!) is horrific. If I input an item for lunch why would my next item be for breakfast? The app should be smarter being so old. The barcode scanner works and then it doesn’t (still). So much more. Just not an easy app to use. I LOVE the Macros group but I simply hate the Macros app. It’s now been years and the app is still not even close to MFP or My Net Diary. Sadly, still.
Food item lookup 1/5
Way to hard to
Look up food . Tried to find “hamburger “ and “salad”, it would have been easier to find an honest politician
Easy to use 5/5
Love this app to track my macros. Super easy!
Highly highly recommend. 5/5
By TommyD the GospelG
The app is so great! I find it much better and fluid to navigate and use than my fitness pal.
Not worth 2.99 1/5
I have to pay another 2.99 to track workouts. Not thrilled at that. Why not just add a sync option for smart watches or exercise tracking.
Food is difficult to track on here and I find myself having to constantly enter custom foods. I cannot find what I need specifically in the search app or the food that is available is incorrect.
It’s great at tracking macros, however I can track macros in MyFitnessPal and track workouts there too.
Really disappointing as I love the macros inc group on Facebook
Awesome App / Excellent Customer Support 5/5
I love this App. Keeps me accountable and so easy to use. I have been using this App for 2yrs after trying a few other tracking Apps. This one is by far the Best!!! Recently an update to the app was made (always for the better) and I could not figure out how to copy my meal to the next day, silly me! I emailed them and received a response with the information I needed the same day. It is really hard to find great Customer Service / Support now days. Thank you My Macros Team!!!!
Exactly what a macro app should be 5/5
If all you want to do is have a paid-for app that tracks your macros easily, this app is all you need. The database is fine, and the barcode and label scanner work for everything I’ve tried it on. You can set macro goals, and you can see how many grams or what ratios of each you’ve consumed. The app is not bloated with “extra features”. It’s quick, easy, and efficient.
The companion workout app is a no-nonsense, paid-for app that tracks your workouts like you would with a notepad. No fluff or gimmicks. I recommend that too.
If you prefer to pay a monthly fee for virtual coaching, web support, pretty graphics, and access to articles and recipes (that you can get anywhere), then you might prefer MyFitnessPal. But it’s hard for me to justify paying $10-20 month to track how much protein and carbs I eat.
Brand searching is impossible 1/5
This app isn’t user friendly and found myself spending 15 minutes just to log my breakfast and lunch. Also, it apparently isn’t aware of many brands out there when using the barcode scanner. I wanted to like the app but it’s a no go.
Love it!!! 5/5
Best $3 i ever spent!! Actually a lot easier to use than MyFitnessPal. And i like you can adjust macros without having to pay that premium from MyFitnessPal.
Love it 5/5
Great app. 50lbs and counting
Don’t bother 1/5
By Curly NOLA
This app is needlessly difficult, clunky and has an extremely limited food database. And it does not work seamlessly with its companion weight lifting app! This by far is the worst use of my money in the store.
Through Life’s Changes 5/5
I’ve used this app during bodybuilding competition training, pregnancy and post partum. The changes keep this app current and fresh.
Food log 3/5
Not impressed with the food search and portion sizes given. Barcode works occasionally when scanning foods.
And when going to recent or favorites, items are not always there.
Toddler nutrient tracking 5/5
Finally found an app that works for little guys. Would love the option of tracking macros but just happy getting the protein, carbs and fats for now.
Use it everyday 5/5
I’ve had this app for a couple years and tracked macros on/off for ... 1.4 years according to the app itself. People have mentioned my fitnesspal (mfp) as a competitor. I’m familiar with mfp and its big database of foods. Does MFP have a larger database? Yes. Is it legit all the time? No. Can you put in exact macros? Not on the free version. Can you change macros per day as in carb cycling? Nope. Is it easy to just GOOGLE the food to find and easily add it instead of complaining? YEP.
I chose My Macros+ over other apps because of the following:
1. tracking is simple with Fast Track where you can instantly add carbs, protein, or fats when you don’t have time to add or when it’s not in the database.
2. Adding foods makes it easier to find later, also makes it easier for others with the same food to log. Increases database options.
3. Add recipes and copy meals to other dates. Very convenient as sometimes I don’t eat a meal I planned and add it for the next day
4. Noteworthy!!! the ability to change macros each day AND getting specific with macros (rather than rounding them according to the free MyFitnessPal)
An added plus is the weekly emails on how the % of the goal I’m trying to hit.
I recommend it to all serious trackers as well as my training clients.
Nice design but this app is INACCURATE 2/5
Nothing I logged had accurate nutrition information. It was so annoying to go in and have to manually add or correct everything. I love the design and thought of the app but it’s not worth spending any money on.
This app is amazing and the best for tracking macros if youre on a iifym diet. ive been using this app for the past 3 years, of course I would let loose occasionally on vacations. But once I want to get back on track, this app is my go to, iifym is a healty maintainable diet that works! A lot of other diets are fad diets. I love how this apps saves everything I put in and can customize. I also love how all my data and info is saved under my username as I had just damaged my phone and had to get it replaced, I accidentally uploaded my blank data onto the server but Jason the app creator was able to restore all my data back to me!! Lifesaver and lifechanger! Thank you for creating this amazing app! $3 is nothing to change your life!
Good app bad database 3/5
This app overall is great, especially the onetime fee allowing you to track your macros. If you go premium it’s cheaper then the other apps as well. It takes a bit to get used to but once you get your favorites in there it’s quick. The barcode scanner is relatively accurate too and it’s rare it doesn’t find the food that way.
The only downside is the database and search functionality is terrible. It doesn’t appear to work well unless you get a exact match for your search. When you are out to eat this can be a real pain. This leads to my second point that I can never find the food I need when searching. I generally have to enter everything manually.
To get around this I do a lot of searches on the myfitnesspal app, which has a much better search function, then copy the results to this app.
Best nutrition app! 5/5
I use this daily for every single meal and it’s great! On the last update - you took away the macros total bar at the bottom - PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT BACK! It was the primary view I used.
Love it 5/5
I've been using this app everyday for about 4 years now. It's perfect for me and keeps me in check for my goals. LOVE the new UPDATE !!
By Fitfor life
Terrible....complicated with so many food choices it’s difficult to find what you are looking for.....worried now that it will be difficult to cancel and they have my credit card number
Don’t like the recent updates 3/5
The update that made the calorie bar just say 0 remaining when you’re actually over is AWFUL
New layout 3/5
I loved having my total macros visible at all times at the bottom of the screen. Now every time I make changes to meals I have to scroll to the bottom to see the new totals. App is still great, but it’s a bit inconvenient now.
New Update Is Terrible 2/5
Why does calorie and nutritional info take up majority of the screen now? Right underneath all my food tracking. It needs to be collapsible or removable. It’s a terrible design.
Nutrition label picture converter is game changing 5/5
Latest update adds some huge quality of life changes in my opinion, good stuff. To the people saying it’s awful because you have to scroll .5 inches more are ridiculous.
I’ve tried them all this is easily the best and most simple to use. FYI to the reviewers complaining about the food database, the majority of what I find in myfitnesspal is just flat out inaccurate. If you want to be accurate you should really be adding a lot of custom foods anyway...
Works well 5/5
By KJ Bodnar
Great for tracking your macros and worth the price.
Hidden subscription fee $10/mo 1/5
In addition to the $2.99 price of the app, there is a subscription fee of $9.99/mo which starts after your free trial (and billed to your Apple info, no need to add credit info)
Great App...easy to figure out and it keeps you honest...
Great app! 4/5
By Fern Famiy
Great app! Love how it shows total macros as well as macros per meal. The app also tracks water intake and weight. I wish you could attach progress photos with the entered weights. But other than that it’s a great app!!
New updated version 🙁 5/5
Do not like the newest update...at all! It was working just fine the way it was, now I have to scroll down to maybe find what I’m looking for in the totals.
You should roll out another update that has the previous version and give a description of what it is.
Never would have updated if I had know what kind of changes were coming.
Best Food / Macros tracking app around 5/5
I’ve used and purchased just about every macro tracking app and 3 years ago I found my macros + and never looked back. 3 years of tracking history , I don’t have to subscribe or purchase anything extra to make the app useful, everything is available from the get go . Seriously purchase this app .
From clean to a hot mess 1/5
I’ve been using this app for years and loved it. In the last update, the clean display at the bottom was replaced by a hard to read mess. The app has devolved considerably. What a shame. I’d pass on this until it gets cleaned up.
New update is not good 3/5
By j'adore heart
Not liking the new update where it puts the entire nutrition info at the bottom. It’s so crammed and hard to tell if you went over/under overall calories. Please revert back to the old one where it just has the caloric/total macros at the bottom
Not cell phone friendly 1/5
I find the app very clumsy and have spent far too much time trying to adjust quantity eaten of specific items
Beware: Sneaky subscription fees 1/5
I downloaded the all a few months ago and was just charged a subscription fee of $10 supposedly because I used the calculator once??
Big let down 2/5
I was tracking my food and without my knowledge the food would disappear causes me to go over my macros.. going back to MyFitnessPal
Not bad 2/5
The app works for the most part for tracking. The issue is when switching to a new phone, it removed every recipe I’ve ever favorited and made in the app.
