App closes while sending messages to doctors 2/5
Every time I try sending a message to my doctors the app closes out and I lose my progress and have to type it again. Please fix and I’ll change my rating.
Easy to access and manage your medical info 5/5
This app does a great job of providing a single point of access to an individual's medical records, appointments, prescriptions, medical bills, and much more. The app is for patients of either Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin (such as myself) or Advocate Health Care in Illinois.
As someone managing a chronic illness, the MyAdvocateAurora app makes it easy to navigate my multiple upcoming appointments and scheduled tests, keep track of my prescriptions (and request refills), and communicate privately and securely with each of my doctors. And whenever there is new info for me (like a new test result or message from one of my doctors), the app notifies me to take a look. It may sound straightforward, but before this app existed, I would spend several hours each month managing bureaucracy that now is handled automatically for me.
This app originally started as a sibling of Epic's MyChart app, but each new release of the MyAdvocateAurora app has added more useful functionality not found in the generic MyChart app. For example, you can use powerful Find-A-Doctor and Find-A-Location searches to find the right doctor in the right place at the right time. Or you can search/read thousands of exclusive health articles written by Advocate Aurora. I also consider the MyAdvocateAurora app to be much more relaxing on my eyes than the exploding Pez-dispensor color palette found in MyChart.
Note: You must register for a free MyAdvocateAurora account in order to use this app, but that process is fast and easy.
Bring back My Chart 1/5
By BobbyC IL
* Tried to request a mail order refill, but my only option was to pick up locally
* My Rx/dosage & use indications are wrong
* I have an exclamation point badge on my billing even though my balance is $0
Overall, just a horrible app whereas My Chart worked flawlessly for me.
*Still showing the exclamation point badge on my billing...balance still $0
*Spent 5 minutes composing a message to my doctor...clicked “Send” and the app crashed & returned me to the log-in screen.
What is up with this app, and who is in charge of its programming? Please find someone who knows what they’re doing. I have apps that were created by teenagers that work better!
Can’t make appointments 2/5
By Duke owns
You can’t make appointments on it. It lets you see the closest clinics which is good. Then you click on the clinic you want and it does nothing. I tried clicking everywhere and it just doesn’t do anything.
Fix option to view bill in app 3/5
By At&t emp
Why do you expect a payment under with out being able to view the bill first? Irritating I have to go to the website to see the bill. Please add this to the billing option.
Unexpectedly reloads 1/5
I’m typing correspondence to my doctor and the app decides to just reload?! What?! Re-login?! Where is all of the typing that I so painstakingly tapped in because I’m having so much trouble with numbness in my hands?!
Bring Back MyChart 1/5
I got a notice that I have a test result available and I can’t log in because of a server error. I could be dying but I can’t find out. Never had such problems with MyChart. This roll out was billed as being a big improvement but NOT IF IT DOESNT WORK.
Time saver!!! 5/5
This app has made managing my family’s health care needs amazingly easy!!! What a great addition of support services for any Adv/Aurora patient. Very satisfied customer.... thank you for the development of this app, as it has made managing health care so seamless and quick. :))))
Easy peasy 5/5
Love this app. Does everything I need to connect w my doc
Update needed 2/5
When people have more than one doctor, it should allow you to schedule an appointment with anyone not just your pcp smh
Not working 1/5
Garbage! App on only works sometimes.
No good 1/5
By jdb 9476
I have reached out to costumer service multiple times about the total absence of my data and also the fact that my doctors are not listed and therefore I cannot message them. They insist that that data “is” available and that I “can” message that doctor, I just don’t realize it. Why, I ask you, would I lie about that?
Should be able to compare previous test results 3/5
By PW hiker
On the website you can compare your test result numbers with previous tests; I have not seen the same function in the app. Also when messaging my Dr. in the app test result section I get no acknowledgment the message was sent; I am not sure it was even sent.
What data? 1/5
It repeatedly says there is an error. Please try again. I have not been able to open it. It has never opened.
This is great!! 5/5
Aurora health care is the best! I would never go anywhere else.
New version of this app is awful 1/5
The old one was better. It’s not a matter of getting used to change it’s a matter of its ease of use got worse with this version.
Info not transferred 1/5
By Jokee Jokee!
All information was not transferred. Support kept giving me a date that it would, which would come and go. After 4 “changes” to the date that all info would be transferred, Support finally said all info would be transferred when I see my primary doctor so he could verify! Why wasn’t I told that from day 1, and why isn’t that the case for all users???
Absolutely no problems 5/5
I downloaded this app and it worked immediately. All of my data from the MyChart app was there, it was easy to set up and easy to navigate. Maybe an older version had bugs but this one certainly doesn’t. I had a harder time finding a nickname that wasn’t taken to submit this review!
Same look. Why change 5/5
Looks the same as old app. It did keep all my info unlike some comments.
Nice app, still several problems 3/5
I like that I can use Face ID to log into the app but once I’m in, there’s still several things I can’t do. Primarily, I can’t pay my bill. All my records are correct but I have no billing history. Real bummer because that’s the main reason I was interested in the app
None of my information is in this new app. It has none of my records and I reside in Chicago and it only lets me access Aurora facilities. This app is NOT user friendly for those of us in the city!
No information 1/5
My group merged with this group. Now I have no information at all. It says they have no record of me . I’ve been with my old group since 1970. There should be a record. I was at the dr 3x last week Irritating
By Caleb Stevenson
App is easy to use and has all my information at the touch of my hand
I like it 4/5
I don't see the issues other people say they have with this app. I think it works great and have not had any issues with it. I like that I can see everything at a glance and even pay bills with it.
All my information is all gone. Have to submit new requests to access my children’s account. They don’t even have a way to access your other half’s account. A lot of work! Terrible!!
Doesn’t work 1/5
At least with the former version I could occasionally login. This one doesn’t work period.
Can’t see any of my information anymore. I went in the different icons such as medical, messages, appointments and etc... no information what happened to all my information I was able to see before having to switch to this new app. 🤦🏽♀️
What a joke 1/5
App doesn’t even let me log in, complete garbage
App Doesn’t Work 1/5
I logged into my account just before updating to the new app so I know my username and password, but I can’t log in using the same information with the new app.
By lost my wig
As with previous app ,sign in NEVER works . Usually have to call for sign in help . Not user friendly if you’re able to actually get into the app.
Needs a professional rewrite 2/5
This application is barely useable.
- loses session if you switch to any other app such as a calendar. You’ll need to log back in.
- unresponsive scrolling. There are pages where you can vertically scroll. If it’s a form, you’ll need to use the control to jump to the next firm element.
- slow performance. My guess is it’s a hybrid web and application app and not a well done one at that.
- UI/UX, came straight from the last decade. They really need to hire a real UI/UX professional.
I’ve been forced to call my clinic when the frustration level on this app had gotten to me.
Terrible interface 1/5
Doesn’t allow scrolling
This app is terrible. It’s easier to use the website on my computer. This doesn’t do anything it promises to do. It looks like it was done on the cheap.
The only redeeming feature is that I can send a message to a doctor.
The link for app support goes to an error page. This is a joke.
Big disappointment 1/5
I design software for a living and this app is a really bad web app inside a native wrapper. Pretty much unusable.
Really needs addressing! 2/5
Since my first review, I felt it needed updating as this app STILL needs updating so badly! The Patient Summary via the messaging system is pretty worthless. I saw my HMO doctor on Friday and received an email notice, opened the program and, now, the Summary attachments won’t even open.
C’mon Advocate! You make plenty enough off of patients to have address your app by now!
This app has improved since it first released.
The mail system now opens much more quickly - thank you!
The Summaries attached, however, not only need help in terms of the app, but with website viewing too. They are pretty useless. It shows Rx has been refilled, but not which Rx. Ultimately, I'm never sure why I've received email notification that I've received mail thru the patient portal/app. It is terribly unfriendly.
I think, given the size and scope of the Advocate Hospital and Doctors system, they should have addressed these Summaries by now. 😏
This app simply doesn’t work. Page won’t scroll. Even the web site has issues on an iPhone. Really needs work.
I downloaded it on my IPhone 7. Can’t do anything. Not only does it not show you any details about your medical records, prescriptions or past visits, but when trying to book an appointment the date pop-up screen won’t allow you to scroll through the days/months/years. It’s stuck in one position. So can’t even book an appointment. Worthless.
Seems Like They Are From 19th Centuries 1/5
They seems like old days Technology. The App is too complicated and hard to use. Keeps Locking itself and logs you out on every screen lock📙
They don’t go with the flow. They don’t believe in modernization. No Support for App. Online Appointment Scheduling doesn’t work.
Won’t scroll down 3/5
I use an iPhone & have the most up-to-date version, but when I try to use the mail to contact my provider, or refill medication, it won’t scroll to see the list of providers or let me fill out the form. So it’s useless- I have to call the dr anyways. :(
Barely worth it. 1/5
This app is barely worth having - close to being worthless. It’s not optimized for iPhone X (not a major deal, I will admit) but the worse thing about it is the interface. It’s beyond user-hostile and unintuitive. Everything is too small and doesn’t work as expected. You also can scroll to see any additional information (messages, reports, etc.). More often than not I get “can’t connect” errors, which might be server issues but it certainly affects the app’s usefulness. I’ve had this app for about 2 years now and from what I can tell it’s never been updated. I had it before upgrading to iPhone X - it never supported TouchID and doesn’t support FaceID either. Seriously, Advocate, you need to fix this app or just give us a web app that works as it should.
Very buggy on iPhone 7 1/5
This app would be nice if it would work properly. When I get into the app, it works ok until I start using features within it. I can initially scroll up and down through different screens but once I have been using it for a bit, the ability to scroll up and down no longer works rendering it barely usable. It seems from other reviews that it may work better on iPad, but does not work well on iPhone 7. Hopefully there is an update to fix this soon.
Not bad - easier than the web site 4/5
I have to disagree with the reviewers who gave this app bad reviews. I’m using the iPad version and it seems to be functioning very well. I could get to things faster and easier than on the web site. Not to say there aren’t problems - not being able to make changes to my profile that my provider can see, couldn’t access my calendar and it would be nice to see linked info on my “problems,” but overall a decent app.
Can’t login 1/5
Just downloaded and the app opens to a white screen
Please fix your bugs 1/5
Downloaded this app to view blood work at a local hospital. When I called tech-support they referred me to a different tech-support team with a different phone number. Ridiculous!
Nobody seems to know what’s going on.
Terrible! Can't login on iPhone! 1/5
No longer able to login at all on the mobile version on my iPhone.
Desktop site's links are broken.
Can't get to my lab results, nor much of my care history now, but I can login using my password.
This used to be a nice application that needed a lot of improvement, but I could view my appointment records, and my lab results.
Now the functionality is non existent for my iPhone and destroyed to the point of uselessness on the desktop site!
All my summaries gone! 1/5
Can open mail fine, but when I go to open summaries, there is nothing there. Very discouraging.
App is useless now 1/5
I just updated my phone this morning and now I can't log in. There isn't even a log in screen anymore. I just get a blank white screen.
I'll change my review of the app becomes functional again.
Ok app 3/5
Would be 5 stars if the scheduling appointments calendar worked!!
Blank page 1/5
I just get a blank white page when I open this app.
