Great app 5/5
I highly recommend using this app if you’re in need of losing weight or gaining weight or even to stay consistent with your meals. I usually don’t use apps like these because they are difficult to use and it’s hard to find where things are, but with this app, it shows you what meals you should eat, how many calories, the progress you’ve made, etc. I didn’t really use it for any class activity, I used this at home and on my spare time but tried to be consistent.
Awesome App 5/5
So user friendly. Also they added a local restaurant I submitted that really helped, I’m sure, others than just me!
Thank you 5/5
Just needs a Better way to enter food without labels
Annoying how it keeps asking for a review 4/5
Fred version is useless 1/5
By djo if ffdhkjfdvjhcrdg
Free version is nothing but a non-functional ad for the overpriced premium subscription.
Great app, could use some quality of life improvements 3/5
Really good app. Great for losing weight. I went from 227 to 169 using my fitness pal but, there are some things that could help especially ios 14 widgets and night mode
It’s kept me focused on health! 5/5
I have been using My Fitness Pal for about 3 years. It has helped to keep me focused on healthy food choices, keeping active and hydration intake. As a result my progress has been slow and mostly steady.
I highly recommend this app for those wanting support to take better care of themselves!
Needs Inclusivity/Gender Affirming Options 2/5
Hello MFP and UA, please please be queer/trans/intersex allies and update your “Sex” option in personal settings. Thank you, sorry for low rating but def will update once I am notified of change.
I do like the app and for one of the biggest health apps in the US, y’all seriously need to be affirming.
Thanks for you time lol.
If you want to gain muscle u need to track ur progress
Best App 5/5
With lot of apps charging you $$ upfront, this is an app with a free version, which gives you more than what you need just to monitor your calories intake.
So helpful 5/5
By Alicia A...
My husband and I have off and on used this app since about 2018. We would start then give up and start and give up. Every time we stopped because it’s hard to devote energy to eating properly we would gain back the weight. So this past June 2021 we decided to go at this again. This time we didn’t want to give up. The simple concept that this app provides isn’t about points or restrictions it’s about eating proper portions and eating within what your daily calorie intake should be for a person of your desired weight loss. Since then I have lost over 20 pounds and he has lost 30 pounds. It isn’t easy but this app holds us accountable for our behaviors with food. We both want to be healthier for each other so we are around for not only our kids but for each other. I would recommend for people to try it. Plus it’s free. The paid for portion isn’t necessary to be successful unless you want to.
Don’t bother 1/5
By Aberrant excursus
The adds and banners to upgrade to premium are relentless and render the free app not usable. Don’t waste your time.
Used to love 1/5
I am so upset they took so many of the features away from the free version, now you can only track your calories. If you want to track any of the other macros you have to pay for premium 🙄 I’ll be deleting and using a different app from now on
Terrible UI 1/5
I’ve been using this app for like 10 minutes and there are so many inconsistencies with the user interface it’s very frustrating. For example buttons that have white text labels on an off-white background, really? Also when you go into a work out plan there’s no way to get back out. I’m not sure I’m gonna use this app for long with all these problems. I’m on a one month free trial of the premium version so I’ll keep trying and will update this review if I see better results.
No dark mode 1/5
Another update and almost 2022 and unlike every other major app still no dark mode. Instead now the nutrient circles have color. So frustrating.
Really helps! 5/5
This app really helps me plan my meals and I am losing weight!
Tasty good app yo I like it a lot 🥺 5/5
By ANGRY birds0987650
WE love this app we as in me my food and my caleroues
I get the need for ads to maintain a free version.
But it’s obnoxious that the “x” to close them out is microscopic and takes 5 tries to successfully click because it’s placed right on top of the ad links so I keep getting swept away to other websites.
What happened to grams 3/5
By Rocket GME
Just opened the app after not using it in awhile. Tried to change serving size to grams because that’s what I measured my food out in and most of the foods don’t have the option for grams. I’ve never had this problem befor
Not good anymore 2/5
By Mister Fish
This app was great before UnderArmour bought it. It was instrumental in my losing 60 pounds. Now it’s nothing but ads and the premium subscription doesn’t get rid of them. I’ve stopped paying and gone back to free after 6 years of being a super fan.
I’m still working on learning this app
Love It 5/5
I don’t use it enough, but I love the features.
Can’t log in 1/5
By Morrison The Great
I’ve used this app for a decade, now all of a sudden I get server errors. Can’t connect and everyone in my friend group is having the same problem
Let’s talk Frankly: 5/5
Look, it’s like this:
I’m a 55 year old male who needs to lose weight.
This AP makes you be aware of your food intake and how healthy it is.
Do you feel bad?
Look at what you have eaten!
Buy a food scale, a Measuring cup and USE this AP!
Save that gym membership !
Three days into the first week, down 5 pounds! If I can do it, you can also!
Can purchased app be shared in Family? 4/5
We have iCloud family plan. If I buy this app can I share it with others in the family?
Weight loss 5/5
Good app. Only wish we could measure by grams.
Best Fitness Ever 5/5
I absolutely love this app, it is going to be with me every step of the way as I start a rewarding weight loss journey! Can’t wait to reach my target! Thank You, Fitness Pal!
Can’t log in 1/5
I used to use this app all the time because my fitness coach recommended it. Now when I try to log in I get the message that it cannot connect to the server. This is my only app that cannot connect. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and even have created new accounts with different email addresses. Nothing works.
Search is suddenly limited 2/5
I have been using MFP for a long time. All of a sudden within this last week the search tool has become super limited. All the foods I have eaten before no longer come up in search. Like turkey lunch meat, the brand I know I have searched before is no longer there. I also couldn’t find Turkey bacon today, or brown mustard. Pretty disappointed

Gave me an eating disorder I don’t recommend
Great app . So easy to keep track of calories !
By Dr Johnny Fever
The iOS version used to be decent, but now it’s basically useless. Can’t add recipes, can’t update food quantities, can’t do the things a tracking app should do. What a waste of $50
TW: ED 1/5
This app made me start rigorously counting my calories when I was 15 years old. I used it off and on until I was 20 and in a hospitalization program for anorexia. If you are using this app in order to starve yourself, PLEASE delete it.
Premium subscription paid but features locked 1/5
I went in to reset my macros for a new program I’m starting and it tells me to go premium but I’m subscribed for the year renewing in May. Can’t get a hold of anyone to help. Super frustrating.
Good app but not over cellular 3/5
I have cellular allowed in settings for this app but I cannot search for foods unless I’m on WiFi. Do I need to pay for some higher tier for this to work?
Can’t retrieve password so worthless 1/5
Deleted the app because I never used it. A few laters decided to try again, but there is no way to retreive forgotten password. What a waste of time, won’t use such a worthless app. That is probably why I never used it in the first place.
Makes it easy 4/5
All the professionals tell you that tracking food and exercise is one of the best ways to help you meet your fitness goals. MyFitnessPal makes it easy with repeatable meals, the multi add feature, and easy copying from recipes online. I have the free version and still find it super helpful.
Used to be a great app 2/5
The ads in this app are getting progressively more obnoxious. Now there’s one that blasts music at you and tells you how much money you have “won.” The buttons on it to dismiss it are so tiny you almost invariably click through to some lame website. I’ve contacted the developer and complained and their excuse is that they don’t monitor the advertisers. Really? You own it and don’t take care of it. How stupid!
Scam Watch Out 1/5
I have a computer science degree in application software so I try enormous amount of apps. I love sampling one week or one month does it matter to me as I love to try the app before I buy. Fitness pal advertises a one month free trial. They charged me in full with no free trial. Sad way to take advantage of people lying to them.
When time filing a complaint with the district attorney in which they were Inc. and the Better Business Bureau. Sad times.
Scanning issue 3/5
Lately, when I try to scan an item to add to my account I’m constantly getting an error. It won’t add.
Don’t know if anyone else has this issue.
Must pay to get any functionality 2/5
Seemed robust but everything I wanted to view cost additional fees. Very irritating. I deleted the app.
By Showescar Antoni
this app works but cause me an eating disorder😋
Food scanner does not work to create meals 3/5
The scanner does not save foods in a new meal when trying to create a new meal.
I hoped that this would be fixed in the last update but the problem persists.
Awesome app 5/5
App is fine, notifications need work 3/5
The app works as advertised for tracking food and activity. The notification system does not work well. I get notifications to enter my lunch items when I have already done so. Very annoying and turned notifications off.
1200 calories a day isn’t enough 3/5
Asked my doctor why I wasn’t losing weight, she asked how many calories a day I eat and I told her around 1200. She was frustrated that so many people are given this number and told me to aim for at least 1400-1500 by adding a healthy snack like toast and pb on top of what I’m already doing. Weight started flying off after that.
I’ll Keep My Privacy Instead of Months Long Streak 2/5
I hadn’t yet checked MyFitnessPal’s data collection information, so when considering adding my Apple Watch to track my steps, and being prompted to allow access to my Health data, I thought I should check. On the bright side, diagnostic information is not linked to the user. Unfortunately, other things like My Health are. And identifier information is even used for tracking. Given that I purchased the Apple Watch, because 1) have an iPhone but also 2) because something like Fitbit is now owned by Google who has very sketchy data privacy practices, it’s not too difficult for me to say goodbye to MFP. Regardless of whether the newest update fixes the recent UI issues.
Latest update is AWFUL 2/5
This latest change to section to edit portions and amounts is AWFUL! And I am unable to change the portion size even though it shows options. I don’t know what you did or why but PLEASE FIX THIS. Also, Too busy visually and more complicated to edit foods. Programmers: this is NOT user friendly now and maybe it’s cool on your programming page but not so great for users. Sometimes change is not good. Starting to wonder now if I should have paid for premium…. And like some other users a lot of my frequently eaten foods have disappeared. Another frustrating issue.
I find this app difficult to use. I should be able to input the amount of calories as indicated by my medical staff. I do appreciate getting warnings that when I don’t reach your goal getting message I have to eat more. The exact opposite of what I need to hear when I fell full.
