This is by far one of the worst apps for streaming I have ever used. The app doesn’t save your login information about 75% of the time. Will freeze mid video and tel you that all of a sudden your cable or tv provider “doesn’t allow you access” because it conveniently signed you out. The app at times asks you to sign in but then never actually signs you into your provider thus not allowing you to utilize the service. This app is horribly out of date and is in need of dire technical support.
Happy nesn has an app, needs improvement 2/5
The app could really use a chromecast button for much better streaming
Letterboxed on output to tv 1/5
Why can't we do full screen viewing when outputting to a TV for example?
Needs Chromecast support 3/5
I’m mostly happy with the app. it is quite basic looking, certainly could use a facelift but that’s not a big deal. I hate that I can’t stream to Chromecast! The app needs to be able to support this. I pay for the service, now I want to watch it on something other than my phone.
Old fashioned 1/5

No in the apple tv update please we are on 2018
The idea of this is great. But the fact that theres no airplay or apple tv app for this seems like a huge opportunity missed.
How about DirecTV? 1/5
New providers coming in 2017?
Good but... 2/5
By El SuperV
Good to watch the Red Sox games live, but can you please keep me signed, because every time I need to log in I have to do it.. can you? Thanks!
Please add Casting button 3/5
Would be 5 stars if this app was able to cast
Needs Airplay support 2/5
Love the app but it needs airplay. Games play perfect on my iPhone or iPad, but is choppy when i mirror to my apple TV.
Edit: no better this year. Where is the apple tv app?
A good start 3/5
My favorite part of the app today is how quickly the broadcast starts when you hit play. Other apps including NBC Sports takes much longer and its usually because they include a long, standard ad.
Please add Chromecast and Air Play support. If incorporated and done well, my rating would be 4 or 5 stars.
Add Chromecast 5/5
Great quality. Need chromecast.
Needs to be updated for iPhone X and iPad Pro 3/5
By Brian W1
The app is fine, it plays video. They really need to update the UI for the iPhone X and iPad Pro display sizes.
Doesn't work with YoutubeTV... 1/5
...even though it's one of the providers listed when you try to login. Ideally this app should use the built-in iOS TV provider so that you don't have to login at all.
ADD AIRPLAY 2/5
C’mon guys get with the times. Add AirPlay support or make a dedicated Apple TV app.
So not a huge issue, but it’s not iPhone X ready, i get that and that’s not what bothers me.
The big issue is, if I close out of the app and want to open it again and watch the game, it says my provider is not supported, and then logs me out. Which I have to log back in and then continue watching. It’s really tedious when I’m trying to watch a game on the go.
Maybe once this issue is fixed I’ll give it more than 1 Star, but honestly, everyone else’s apps work flawlessly and I’m disappointed that the one I want to use the most is an utter piece of garbage.
No longer works on iPhone 1/5
I don’t know if it was an iOS update or new iPhone release. But the nesn go app doesn’t work on iPhone for a while now. Loved when this app was released last year so I know what it’s capable of. Please please fix it. ITS OPENING DAY!!!

Please update to become compatible with chromecast.

Need authorize spectrum ! Up in Maine and want to watch the Sox on the go
Can’t hold a connection 3/5
This app starts out great but during gameplay it’s keeps switching quality and is almost always way too blurry to watch. Very frustrating
It works pretty good 4/5
Finally able to watch Bruins and Sox games on my phone. However, there are two small frustrations. First, it logs me out way too often. Second, the audio skips for a fraction of a second every couple of minutes. Not deal breakers and definitely better than no app, so I'm happy.
Chrome cast 1/5
No chromecast support in the year 2018 is unacceptable
I would like to know why there is no app on Apple TV?
Needs Improvement 3/5
By Cowbell Guy
I love that I am finally able to watch NESN streams on my iPhone or iPad (a huge thank you for supporting Picture-in-Picture on iPad), but this app isn’t supported very well and is in dire need of some updates. The iPhone X was announced 6 months ago and the app still doesn’t support the new screen size and the video is letterboxed on all 4 sides (not just on the left and right) causing the image to be unnecessarily small. There’s also some software bugs that need to be addressed (PiP on iOS 11 pauses the game when you go into PiP mode and you need to manually resume the game).
There’s also an issue where the app doesn’t save my TV Provider’s (Comcast Xfinity) login status for more than 5-7 days or so, which causes me to have to re-login almost every time I use the app. The app’s browser for authenticating also doesn’t save cookies which means even if you select “Remember Me” on your TV Provider’s website you’ll still need to fully login each time.
Crashing on log in for the last month. 2/5
The app always logged my account out and now for over a month has crashed every time I try to log in.
Casting abilities 3/5
The app is great except for one thing. It does not have the ability to cast to a chrome cast or similar device. Please look into adding this feature as most tv related apps have this capability. Thank you.
Picture is blurry 5/5
When I first watched Nesn Go
the picture was terrible so
blurry that you couldn’t watch it.
Evidently the corrections have been
made and the picture is now is
clear and wonderful .
New rating 5 stars 😊
Where’s the regular sports news 1/5
By munchin on bunchin
Tried to delete the older NESN app to make it so I could watch highlights without it crashing. Now the only option I have is this crap. I just want my news, highlights and scores. Where is the old app
No Chromecast Support 1/5
This should be standard for any Video Streaming app.
Fix it! 1/5
Unreal how and why you don’t have spectrum on as a provider. This app has been available for months and I still can’t watch the games on the go! What a waste for a New England fan from Maine!! 👎🏻👎🏻
Please add cellular! 2/5
Can’t stream unless you have WiFi?
Needs Airplay or standalone Apple TV app 3/5
Please create an Apple TV app, or at the very least add airplay support to this app.
So far so good 4/5
I like it and I love getting the Red Sox on the road. I hope they come out with a Fire TV version soon!
Bad app 1/5
Waste of time
Takes forever to sign in
Where the hell are the bruins 3/5
We need hockey!!
Cancelling out a good portion of Mass 2/5
Your description says you’re adding new providers through 2017, but you haven’t. In central mass we’re stuck with Fios or charter, we don’t have a choice in that. You have a large fan base here, please remember the little people that Comcast shuns. Thank you.
Works awesome. Does exactly what I need it to do. Watch the bruins on the go when I’m not near a tv. Looking forward to using this app on my honeymoon.
No Verizon Fios and no Bruins. I saw the announcement for the app during a bruins post game coverage ironically. Didn't know the people at NESN were so empty up there.
Love nesngo 5/5
Works great! Finally can watch Sox when on the road. All I need is wifi & log on using our Comcast account. Thank you nesn!
iPhone X: use the whole screen please 4/5
1)Please use the whole edge to edge display on the iPhone X!!!
That’s why we got this phone and it’s frustrating that after these few months there are still tons of apps not utilizing the screen properly especially for watching video
2)Please fix directv login issues. They are currently not working.
This app is awesome. It was nice to be able to watch the Sox on the go and even better for me at least to be able to watch the Bruins as well. There is hardly any if at all buffering when the video kicks in and I haven’t had any issues with streamIng on either WiFi or LTE ever. The app is near flawless aside from the few issues above. Again, aside from the small viewing screen being used currently on the iPhone X, the picture quality is absolutely amazing on the X. Lastly, with all the crazy viewing restrictions trying to watch sports on the go or on mobile in general it’s absolutely amazing to be able to watch the Bruins or Sox on the go and even more appreciative to be able to use our existing paid cable subscription to do so. Thank you so much!
Awesome App 5/5
Watch all the bruins games on the go! Incredibly clear picture
Doesn't work with FiOS 1/5
I would have expected this to work with FiOS since our get the channel on my TV. Oh well.
Where’s Fios???? 1/5
How do you create a mobile app but leave out millions of subscribers?
Chromecast viewing 4/5
Please add Chromecast support, thanks!
Useless if Spectrum user 1/5
Here in Maine there aren't a lot of choices for cable providers. Spectrum is not a choice for NESNgo even though the channel is part of Spectrum Cable. So this app is useless and I'm tired of seeing the ads for it every time I watch NESN on my provider!!!
Doesn’t Work 1/5
App allows me to sign in with my Playstation Vue account, but then tells me I don’t have access to watch NESN on my subscription. Not true, I’m watching on PS Vue right now. This App is useless for me.
No Verizon? Seriously? 1/5
No Verizon? 1/5
By This game is terrable
Where are the BRUINS!?!? Red Sox are great, but you need some BRUINS and some subscription base here. We all want to subscribe and listen to Jack Edwards every game!
Make an app that’s useful like HBOGo where you don’t need a subscription through a cable provider. Maybe you’d have more downloading the app and you’d make more money as well. Look at the big picture before releasing an app like this.
