In order to get this working I had to call support and have them walk me through it. Months later power goes out and I need to reset everything. Problem is I can’t login to the app and there is no way to reset the password. I’ve reached out to support with proof of purchase and no help. Not sure what I should do next but overall frustrating experience.

I’m done with this junk no matter what I do to upgrade firmware it will not do it. Now it just stop working so it’s going in trash. I purchased another router and it’s not a netgear stay away from this junk. I will let all the customers I support never to by netgear.

This app is buggy, when opening the app, it usually prompts me to sign in or sign up. I already have an account. It’s so PESKY to even ask me to login when I just want to unblock a device on a RAX40………

They made setting up and resetting your modem on this app like solving a algebra problem. People just want to connect their router with the service provider and get to using internet. All the extra that’s added to that process is not necessary.

Easy setup. I am really confused that my app access disabled when I changed my login Id for netgear.com. I am end up doing router reset to get going. I hope this will not happen again.The Wi-Fi signal is very poor. It is keep dropping.

After setting up your device it forces you to create account, after you do that and press “create” it goes into a never ending loading screen and never creates and never lets you use the app at all.

Completely worthless unusable app. Every time I open it up, something gets screwed up with my internet or the app times out. I can’t believe how awful this app is. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM NETGEAR!

The app seems to have all the right features, but what’s the point if they don’t work? Want to see what devices are on your wifi? Too bad, “try again later”. Want to reboot your router? Too bad, “try again later”. What to contact support? You guessed it—“try again later”. I’ve been trying again later for 3 weeks.

I’ve had this app since I bought my router and from day one it almost does not work. When it does work it’s unusably slow and either times out mid command or never gets to the screen I want. I don’t have a clue where these good reviews come from.

Heard it was good a good Wi-Fi extender from a friend - but was delightfully surprised as Nighthawk X6 really managed to penetrate my solid concrete walls incredibly well. Great when u don’t want to staple wires all over your apartment and can’t rip up walls.

The latest release refuses to connect to my device after putting in my admin credentials. These same credentials can be used in the browser interface to connect to the device (AC1740)

It’s a decent interface with minimal personalization. I do wish you were able to control everything when it comes to routers and extender directly on the app instead of having to go onto the website to gain more control. I also do wish I was able to see all the devices connected to the mesh system on one page vs having to go to each router to find out what’s connected where. Hopefully these improvements can be made in the future. Other than that the app is easy to use.

This app is good for Wi-Fi management which is nice to have, not needed all the time.
The Device Manager has a lot to be desired. It picks up devices, but does a poor job identifying the assets. My other router does a much better job.
The speed test raises questions - either it’s wrong or this router is reducing my download speeds by 45% (yes that much).

When trying to fix one of the most important things we have in our daily lives, look no further for immense aggravation than the Nighthawk app and Netgear equipment. Not only is the equipment unreliable, but after a recent update I cannot even log into the app to view and change settings. I’ve gone through every troubleshooting step possible to no avail. I will absolutely never buy another Netgear product again. Running a CAX30, and EAX 80.

By far, the easiest and most intuitive app I have used to set up and employ a WiFi Router. I was a bit nervous because this would’ve been the first router setup I’d setup wirelessly—without using a wired computer. It was literally a breeze.
