Got So Much Worse 1/5
A year or two ago, I was overweight and constantly looking for new workout apps to help me. They never had good free versions, and even the paid versions didn’t seem to help. Nike training club was the one app that made a difference. I was motivated to keep working out, I was engaged in and genuinely enjoyed the workouts, and I made progress in getting stronger and leaner. A year ago I stopped using it, which was a mistake, but I continued to get fitter and fitter, and the catalyst I attribute to that was this app. I logged on today, and I saw that it had completely changed. This was actually super sad for me as I remembered how happy I had felt when I made progress on a four or six week plan. Now there are premium plans, but i won’t be paying for them as they actually seem inferior to the earlier app, and they appear to be much more like other fitness apps. I am disappointed in Nike for this, but I realize that one review won’t change their terrible decision regarding changing this formerly great app.
It works!! 5/5
I really love this app!! I have had it for years and really have just begun to utilize it and am seeing the results!! I used to hate working out and now I look forward to get my body moving with this app. I have lost weight, and am toning my body up at home using Nike Training. I recommended it to a friend, hopefully she’ll give it a chance.
It’s what is says it is. A training app. 5/5
I love this app and I love the little reminders.
Bug When Exiting the App 4/5
I was in the middle of one of the workouts on NTC when I exited the app to check the time. I reentered the app to find that my workout had stopped and I could not resume it. I was bummed because I put a lot of effort into that workout, only for it to be cut short :( Please fix Nike
Best fitness app ever! 5/5

Im insecure about my tiny bit of belly fat so tried to watch some YouTube videos and look at some pins on Pinterest to change some things. But when I tried that stuff I barely broke a sweat. My mom recommended this Nike app to me so I was like “you know what I’ll try it. And it’s amazing! I actually feel like I’m working out all the right muscles I honestly feel a lot better about myself than I did before! Highly recommend this app to stay healthy and lose weight! #STRONG💪🏼
Where’s iPad support? 3/5
Finally felt compelled to write an app review. I’ve been using the Nike Training app on and off and like other reviewers, wish they kept the programs that they had before. I know that’s “collections” is supposed to be the new thing, but it’s not the same (as in, not as instructive and guided) like the old programs. Also, I’m very self conscious and like to work out at home, but it’s hard to follow along on the phone with the tony screen. I can mirro my screen to my Apple TV, but that restricts me to a certain room. How come there’s no support for iPad yet???
Great, but cost more than my Planet Fitness membership 3/5
By The Transcendent Life
I really enjoy this fitness app. It’s great for when Im on the road or don’t have access to my gym.
The App allows you to search and complete all sorts of workouts. Really a no excuses app. You can find workouts for when you have no equipment and others for when you have the entire gym available. You can find workouts for when you have 10 minutes or for when you have an hour. If your just a beginner, they got that. If you can do 50 burpees and 25 pull ups, they got something for you too.
Some classes are full video, some are whiteboard. Whiteboard format is a bit difficult to use as you are responsibilities for timing and sequencing. But great if you are reduced bandwidth.
With premium you can sign up for longer duration courses that build up from beginner and advance over time. They even have a full weights program for at the gym.
There is plenty of content for free because they serve you with plenty of advertising.
(Update: Nope they pulled much of the free content)
If you decide to go paid member you better plan on getting use from the app because at $15 USD a month it cost more than America’s most populate gym memberships.
It deserves 5 stars, but when considering the cost and reduction of free content and advertising you get when a paid member it can’t earn it from me.
I became a runner because of this app! 5/5
By Only Tdub
I haven’t ran since high school. Now, in my 40s, I needed to get the body moving again. The app’s coaching and plans helped me run my first half marathon!
Nike workouts 5/5
Nike workouts are fun, hard, and the most important thing about them is they help you get your energy out. For example, One day I was made and I send I am going to do a Nike training work out. Often that I got my self to gather. And the next day I was rally sewer
Great app! 5/5
By Tinky Winky0071
I don’t know why, but this app got me addicted to working out! I recommend to download this app!
Wide Variety 4/5
There seems to be hundreds of great workouts and great fitness advice if you have the premium version. However if you do not have premium there are only a couple good lifts and not a great variety for strength workouts
Great workouts 5/5
I have tried several of the workouts. I most consistently do the yoga. Highly recommend.
The best 5/5
This is the best app in the world
Favorite app for on-the-go, personalized workouts! 5/5
No free plan anymore 1/5
I was about to start using this app that was once amazing because it was free to create and monitor your workout plan. Now they charge like any other workout app. I’m sure they have their “reasons”. I rather pay for 8fit because they at least have a meal plan for the money I got to pay.
I’ve been using this app for 2 years now and I cannot express myself enough on how happy I am that NTC exists. To begin with, workouts are hands down p e r f e c t! You have plenty of them to choose from, you can have a decent training in 15 minutes or less(not to mention that you can/should mix it with NRC), most of them are free and after all, they are kinda fun. I’m not the biggest fan of the new premium version to be honest, but that shouldn’t stop you from exercising. You don’t have to waste time and money at the gym if your goal is to stay fit. I can say for myself that I’ve developed my body(mostly abs, legs and arms) extremely good only by doing bodyweight workouts from Nike. 2 months ago I went to the gym with my friend and didn’t fall behind at all- I even leg pressed 300kg that day!
In conclusion, this app is out of this world and I gladly suggest anyone to click that download button. Train, stay healthy and enjoy the process!
Simple and fun. Apple Watch integration is seamless 5/5
I haven’t purchased the premium subscription.
Infuriating Low Quality App 1/5
Background: Having used a myriad workout apps from different developers over nine years of owning Apple iPhones, NTC & NRC became my favorite apps as they were the most integrated and well throughout.
I loved both the NRC & NTC apps so much I supported them by purchasing the Nike editions of Apple Watch.
Lately each “upgrade” has actually degraded the experience. NRC running programs are no longer linked to NTC, where before on rest days you were not running on the NRC plan the apps would suggest a workout from the NTC library and include it into the overall Nike plan.
•Loss of one star•
Heart rate monitoring on the Nike Apple Watch while performing an NTC workout no longer occurs. You can no longer monitor your heart rate within the Nike app, and subsequently must use Apple’s own HR app to see what your current beats per minute is and adjust accordingly.
•Loss of another star•
Active calories can no longer be monitored on your your Nike Apple Watch while performing an NTC workout.
•Loss of a third star•
NTC is no longer reading from and reading to Apple Health. Time elapse & total workout calories are no longer being sent from the NTC app to Apple Health. So all workout time is lost and does not count towards your active calorie goals.
•Loss of a forth star•
NTC now glitches when streaming from the iPhone app to the AppleTV when streaming over AirPlay so that the music being played from your selected Apple Music playlist distractingly cuts in and out taking focus away from the current movement or asana.
•Loss of a fifth star•
NTC now glitches when streaming from the iPhone app to AppleTV that at times the audio track will be completely off from the visual onscreen movement.
•Loss of yet another star leading now to negative stars•
As you can see if it were possible this app with its most current “updates” would rate negative stars. After upgrading the App the glitching became so bad I actually went to the Apple store and purchased an Apple lightening to HDMI AV adapter & and a HDMI cable to mirror image the workout on my TV.
In summary this app continues to degrade with each App & iOS software update. If this doesn’t resolve I will delete this app and return my Nike Apple Watch for a Apple Watch titanium edition.
Great app 5/5
Great app. But only Apple Music will play at the correct volume
It’s pretty good 3/5
I like the organization of the app, but I feel like it underestimated the calories burned per workout.
Amazing Workout App 5/5
This app has workouts for people looking for all different kinds of workouts. I came looking for intermediate workouts that were about 30 minutes long and I found so many varieties of what I wanted! The levels range from beginning to advanced and it’s very cool to see how you progress through them. If you don’t have a lot of time to do a workout, don’t worry. There are so many different time ranges for these workouts and I fit them into my busy schedule. I also really enjoyed the fact that you can listen to any music during the workouts. Normally workout apps only sync with Apple Music but this one has the option of “no music/other,” which allowed me to listen to my Spotify playlists while working out. No workout or workout app is the same, but this is one of the best workout apps ever.
Sweat and Burn 3/5
I love this app. I have recommended it to others. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it is not syncing with my Apple Watch. When I start a workout it will be halfway done before the watch recognizes that a workout is happening. That doesn’t help me keep track of the work I’m doing. Please fix it.
Deleted sessions 1/5
I want to get working out but that’s super hard if my training sessions keep DELETING THEMSELVES after I download them! I’ve tried looking up whether Nike does it on purpose but no answers to my questions. I’D LIKE THIS RESOLVED, PLEASE.
The Capitalism Jumped Out, Don’t Bother Downloading. 1/5
I have had this app since 2015 and I raved about it to my friends about how awesome it was. The new update that makes the workout plans premium, which you have to pay for, is absolutely ridiculous considering the amount of money Nike makes and the fact that those features were previously free! I’m actually really sad about this because I thought the app was great.
Convenient and adaptable 5/5
By sick of corporations.
I love that I can use the Nike training app at home when I only have time for a very quick work out, as a warm up or cool down paired with a run, or when I’m traveling. It helps keep me moving even when I’m busy.
Saba the trainer 5/5
Seriously best workout app in the market been using this beast since 2010 !
Excellent even for beginners 5/5
Great variety of workouts
Strength workouts 2/5
I used to love this app until you locked down all the workouts. I don’t have a problem with you pushing advertisements and selling merchandise, but don’t require me to pay to have access to workouts.
All my recent runs have been pausing when I am running... please fix and this review will be changed to a fiver
Best app ever!! 5/5
Lots of great workouts and challenging too!! Definitely recommend for all levels!!
Best workout app I have ever had 5/5
Thank you people of Nike training this is the best workout app I have had because it shows me how to do the workouts at the same time of me dying after the last set 😄. But since this app is free except for premium content I have had the best experience thank you.
I don’t see the free programs that outlined what workouts to do each day, all of them seem to be gone in the new app. VERY DISAPPOINTED about that, I truly love using the NIKE App workouts but without the outline of the exercises it’s not as useful....
Nike Training App 5/5
It’s amazing. It pushes me and teaches new ways to get results !
Love it so far 5/5
I love how guided this app is. I often waste time between sets and this keeps me moving. It’s nice to think “wow I have 30 minutes” and be able to select a workout that will push you during that time frame. I also don’t know a lot of body weight stuff so it’s been super helpful to switch up my workouts. I have only tried a couple of the free ones, but so far so good!

First week is done. Feeling really good. Couldn’t find challenging app as my body is used to exercising. This app made me breath faster and sweat more :)
Thankful for these great cross training exercises!

This app is superb especially for core strength and building endurance..
Joe Holder thanks! 5/5
Signed up for premium when it came out after having been a user of the app for several months. I’m a refugee from CrossFit which I did for 6 years. I was originally turned onto the app by the “Trained” podcast.
Anyway I picked Joe’s program from premium and wow I really did reach another level! The variety and progressions were terrific and the effect really shows in my everyday life (farmer, carpenter).
Like some I thought I would miss the class style workouts but I found that if I played the “view drill” videos while I tried new moves it was effectively the same but without the suspension of activity that often happens in the class workouts
Thanks again Joe. Looking forward to your next program.
Cycled thru two other trainer’s programs, Flaherty and Kirsty Godso and all three were very different and very well thought thru. The diversity of the three approaches is extremely valuable.
Now I’m back for a second round of Joe Holder’s program and the progress I’ve made in strength, conditioning and most importantly mobility is dramatic.
Great workouts, missing “my plan” component 2/5
I used to absolutely love this app and have been using it for a while now. I lost 30 pounds with this app and It’s perfect for my lifestyle, however they no longer have the option to “build my plan/workout” an option that I absolutely loved! You got to type in details about yourself, your goals, and the type of workouts you wanted and the app would create a workout plan for you! I wish that was brought back as I’m finding it harder to create a workout plan on my own and drop the pounds.
Excellent app 5/5
Great to keep motivated
Available plans are great!!
Plan keeps disappearing 5/5
By Burhan F.D
Hello, I’ve defined my workout plan but it keeps disappearing and have no idea how to fix it. Please help.
Don’t sync with Apple Watch. 4/5
NTC won’t shy come with Apple Watch app. I have to reboot my watch every time to get it works.
Great app but not working 5/5
By Mikey s
App downloads but won’t let me login. Screen is blank. New iPhone software not supported?
Thumbs up! Nike Training Club 5/5
Amazing app! Encouraging!!
Original version 3/5
Loved the original version before the premium upgrade. Now I have to sift through to find the ones I liked that are not the premium content, because I prefer not to pay for the premium workouts. Wish they would go back to not having premium content.
I love this app. The premium programs are a wonderful addition and really push you to work out.
I do wish there was a way to schedule work outs to do instead of simply saving them. It’s easy to get lost in the plethora of workouts the app has to offer... saving them as you browse. A schedule feature would kind of remind you like “hey... remember this workout?”
