No mention of a fee. 1/5
By Toosie P
There is no mention of a fee until you download the ap. It says in app purchases. Now I can’t remove it. I’m trying to cancel the free trial.
Buyer beware 1/5
I downloaded the free app then deleted it the same day. I have been charged a weekly fee now twice?? I deleted the app so what am I paying for exactly?
Great app 5/5
Nice to see the weather all around us!
Weather GOOD 🤪
Not worth paying for 1/5
The app shows me radar in the past not future time frame. What good is that? Also, have been attempting to cancel & when I pull up in settings , which is where it says to go, there isn’t a place to cancel . What’s up App?
Deceptive subscription 1/5
Open app, you have choice to subscribe or continue. I chose continue, wanting to see what was available on the free app. My finger was on the home button and before I knew what had happened I was signed up for a free trial and $2.99 per week subscription. I immediately cancelled it. I don’t mind paying for apps that have value to me, but I don’t appreciate being tricked into a subscription before I can even check out the app. And don’t tell me about the 1 week free trial - I know they are counting on me forgetting to cancel in time at least once. BS.

It doesn’t matter 1/5
This is the perfect app if you can’t read. All you get is pictures with nice colors. Very vague. I wish you didn’t hide the current reviews from us when choosing to take our money. I noticed to late, that the “wonderful “ reviews are 2 and 3 years old.
This is the most deceiving app purchase I’ve wasted my money on yet.
Weather report 5/5
I’m so glad that I have NOAA weather on my phone. I’m up early everyday and so is my sweet brittany spaniel named Lexi. If not for the app I would only be guessing about what to wear. Every morning and now afternoon when we go for long walks, I don’t want to get caught in a rain storm. I’m so happy to check the weather app and go. Lexi and I have been caught in some bad storms before having the NOAA weather. Thanks!

There is no weather info unless you pay.

I can’t cancel my subscription before the free trial ends. Thanks for ripping me off!
Great forecast but drains battery 3/5
Drains my battery constantly even when not in use. (Even if I swipe it closed.) Will be deleting for this reason even though the weather reports are great.
Only a fool would buy this app 1/5
This app does nothing that the NOAA website doesn’t do, so my review is based on the fact that every time you open it, the app prompts you to pay for the “Pro” version, which allows you to actually see weather forecasts, something every other weather app does for free.
If you want to track a storm or hurricane, you have to buy the “Pro” version. $19.99 a year may not be much, but why pay for free information available on a multitude of websites?
I’m deleting it.
Pricing is ridiculous. Too many free ones available. I have a weather station feeding data 24/7 but they still want to charge me. NOT!!
Used love NOAA app 1/5
By unhappy fitbit 91047
I have had this app for many years and the free app with iPhone is better and faster don’t waste your money! It used to be almost free and this year they wanted $10 bucks to keep too much money!
Good App for Florida 5/5
Very helpful for tracking storms. Thanks.
I need this 5/5
I have never tried this app before but I live in Florida so I HAVE to know if any tornado is bout to hit y’know what I mean.
Not accurate at all 1/5
By XC pilot
All ads for a subscription (ridiculously expensive), very little value added. Not affiliated with NOAA other than repackaging their free data.
Where are the NOAA forecasts? 1/5
I love this app, but in the recent update, I can’t find the NOAA coastal marine forecasts any more. Help!!
Full of spam, payments, ads 1/5
Despite subscribing to the paid version, I continuously get ads and am bombarded by requests to pay for add-one at a monthly price. One of the worst weather apps I’ve ever downloaded.
They pulled me back in... 1/5
... and now I cant get out. I used to live on the east coast and use this app about 10 years ago. I redownloaded it since I am back here during hurricane season. Now, the app forces you into a paid subscription with the classic “first week free” line. I tried to ‘Manage Subscription’, but when I click on that it magically cant connect to the itunes store. DO NOT use this app!! Extremely frustrating and I havent even had to deal with what I expect to be a tiring cancellation process. The response I received from contacting them was to contact apple? Tremendous fail!
Why not just charge for the app? 1/5
I’ve seen the responses from the developer “it’s your decision to subscribe” why would I subscribe when I don’t know what I’m getting? I know there is a free trial but you’re banking on people forgetting to cancel. I’d rather pay 4 dollars up front for Dark Sky, which is what I’m going to do. As a consumer, it just seems like you’re taking advantage of people and that is wrong.
The best radar app ever 5/5
You can track the weather in every country

Good for planning trips. Improves knowledge of Geography.
Weather reports 5/5
I love being able to go to my phone and find out about the weather in my area as we do get tornadoes and huricanes here!
Why premium 1/5
Why premium when you can use wgn Weather app for free
No warning 1/5
We just had super high winds, trees down, power outages and the only notice on the app was coastal flooding. Why didn’t I get a warning on my phone? That’s why I upgraded to premium. Also, using NOAA in the name implies you’re NOAA. That is dishonest. It was the only reason I paid for a whole year. I canceled same day, so I better see a refund.
$$ This should be illegal 1/5
Since NOAA is funded by the Federal Government then we are already paying for this app with our taxes. So it should be free to all Tax Payers. If I’m going to have to pay then there’s much better Apps out there.
Also, those other Apps are cheaper and there not monthly, there annual, meaning you don’t, and shouldn’t need to have them hold your credit card details on line, which is unsafe financially.
So no thanks
Don’t subscribe 1/5
I am a CDL driver and I thought it would be a good idea to get this app as sort of a heads up of what I’m driving towards. I completely regret getting a subscription to this app! First off, it’s not as accurate a radar as I would’ve hoped. Second off, I tried to unsubscribe to this app, and it will not let me. I’ve emailed the company with out any answers in return.
Because I refuse to pay for some thing I do not want now all of my Apple services are suspended until I update my payment. I can’t even get into my emails or download new apps. This is so stupid! I wish I could give this app a -5 stars!
Free trial is a scam 1/5
By F. Kaufman
There’s no way to quit the “free trial” before the subscription renews. The developers pretend to be surprised that people might think this app is affiliated with the government agency NOAA. Do not download this app.
Update needed-radius based alerts, not city based 1/5
I don’t understand how we don’t have the ability to set alerts based on proximity. I’m in Jacksonville, Fl, one of the largest land based cities in the country and I’m getting alerts for over 50 miles away and it’s draining my phone. They need to update it like all of the other apps.

All they want is money for ad-ons to see when and where it’s raining, or snowing, etc. What a waste! I’m deleting the app.
Too many places to accidentally select free trial 1/5
By Onitsuka fast hound
If not cancelled the free trial turns into a paid subscription. My taxes pay for NOAA, I’m not paying for it again in an app. Total bullishìt.
Might be the best app but I’ll never know 2/5
This is a complete bait and switch. It a free download but touch anything in the app and you’ll be asked to pay for the information. I was excited to see something like this from NOAA but apparently this is not their product. It’s a licensing deal so they can use the NOAA acronym. I’m removing it from my devices once this review is posted. They should be honest and charge for it up front. Shady people behind this thing.
Bad app 1/5
Site tries to charge $$ right away, in fine print, easily missed, what else are they up to? Avoid!
Sorry I hate this app
Clickbait for subscription. It gives you nothing but past radar unless you pay money. Why don’t you just be honest and not call this a free app 😡
Update based on developer feedback: you may intend it to deliver radar & weather forecast free but it does not. It sends you to subscription options, which you can’t get out of without closing the app.
