Hoping for an update soon 1/5
By clarissadalloway
We would really love to use this app again. It will not work with our recent iOS change. That makes us sad because it is super educational and engaging for our homeschooled children. They have learned so much from it...
Educational!! 5/5

Hello PBS! This was one of the best apps for education. As a teacher, I’d love to use this again!
Thanks for the hard work!
Needs More 4/5
By Mr crazy Cat
I think you should add more things to do. Such as more essential elements or something else. Otherwise amazing app
IOS 11 update please 2/5
By Jeffro in Jeffco
I teach 8th grade science and I’m using this app, well I was until I updated to iOS 11. This app is great. We need it, please
Please update!!!! 3/5
By why is this crashing?
This app used to be an awesome study tool for my science classes but it hasnt been updated in around 3 years and although i can still use every aspect of it, the layout is all wonky with the latest IOS format because the app hasnt been updated to properly work with it so everything is either out of place or covering something else up entirely. Please update this ASAP!!!!
Wow 5/5
By minchumina
My 7 year old was glued to the screen for the video portion. We haven't explored the game yet.
Lousy app 1/5
By Julescelt
This is one broken app. It has never worked correctly, the pop up windows will not close and none of the other functions do not work. The last update was nearly 4 years ago. PBS has never bothered to look at the app they put out. Shame, it had potential, however, not working.
Does not work for iPad Pro at all!!! 1/5

Not Working on iPad Air2 3/5
By Bbooher
A great app when I was using it on my iPad2. However, when I used an iPad Air2 there was no sound. I deleted the app, reloaded the app, and now it's stuck in portrait mode, will not auto rotate, and there's still no sound. I don't know if it's the app or the iOS, but wish it could be fixed because this is a worthwhile app!
Can't click. 4/5
By Un delete pull
This is my first time using this app and it's pretty good. No ads, HD, and informative. Only problem is I can't click on the "Built" icon and see the atom. I would like to see the atom again and see how many Protons, Newtons, and Electrons are in it. Please make that we can see the atoms again.
Great! 5/5

NOVA Science is awesome! This app is great, I just wish there was more to it.
Interactive Science 5/5
By JK2xys73
I loved the TV show, and I even showed it to my classes in the past. This app is awesome. The only thing I would change is the size of the font on the Build An Atom page. The atomic number and atomic mass numbers are very tiny. I can see them, but it takes some effort. It would be better to use font size 12 or 14 to emphasize these numbers, since students will need to use them to calculate the number of neutrons.
Beautiful but no thinking required 3/5

The graphics are top rate and it is a wonderful way to expose students to the Periodic Table. However, its biggest flaw is the auto build button for the elements and molecules. Students lose the experience of trial and error. They miss out on truly learning and understanding why it looks the way it does.
Absolutely Amazing 5/5
By LoveApps
A great introduction to the periodic table of elements. Funny and engaging for kids and adults alike. I hope PBS and NOVA create a companion app to build on this.
Understanding with visuals 5/5

This app is so amazing. Does great job comparing the periodic chart with pictures and videos explaining elements makeup. Does wonderful job of explaining the basics without losing my interest (And that was the hardest part for my old Chem teachers).

By Chanman82
It does what it says! Go elements!
GREAT APP! 4/5
By Maahum Jan
This is an amazing app with really cool and short videos so you can educate yourself. The video cuts off so this app does not earn five stars.:( Also you can make your own type of atoms with electrons, protons and neutrons! Have fun with this app!
I love this app so much 5/5
By Mary Desire
I am currently learning freshman chemistry and i need to know these elements so its really helpful

Honestly this is the best app to learn about all the elements
Favorite app but... 3/5

I love the games, but can't watch the video even though I'm in California, not outside the US. Please fix this!
No video after iOS7 update 3/5
By Mick3232
After updating to iOS 7, the video clips do not play. Tried reinstall, no luck.
Interesting if you love elements 5/5
By Ddog123_19
This app is great for people who need a education or need to know about the elements. I feel like why do teachers not use this when they are teaching science or social studies so the kids get to no more about the elements. But I also think he should talk more about the gold because he only talked about it of ten minutes. He also makes learning fun for kids to learn and actually pay attention instead of passing notes or talking and telling jokes and some kids think about some of them a bit to wrong. So if I were you I would let tryout child watch this.
Fantastic! 5/5
By Sonymann1
My 9 year old daughter and I had hours of fun. She learned a lot about the elements and asks to play with this app. I highly recommend this as a fun introduction to the periodic table.
WHY?! 1/5
By Zoëlle Jane Aarons
Why can't I watch the dang video. I live in California. As far as I know it is in the U.S. As soon as thus gets fixed I will move it to
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Till then I am gonna be upset. THANK YOU PBS (sarcastic voice)!
Makes learning fun 5/5
By SaamT
My son was 5 when we first watched the Elements. He was changed to a mini scientist, thanks to NOVA. He started telling everyone about electrons, atomic numbers of gold or other elements and importance of Corbin. The video triggered all kinds of activities for us. He has been checking out all sort of science books from library since then. Nova's Element is a great example of how media can be motivating and how science can be fun.
Cool but short 5/5
By Science Girl 123
This has a great feature where you build the elements from neutrons, protons, and electrons. Then you can use those atoms to build some common organic compounds. This is fantastic and I hope they expand it to include more about electron orbitals and chemical bonds.
Retina support 5/5
By Acer Blade
Please add also retina support
No more video. 1/5
By Nursepooh1
When I first downloaded this app it was great was using it to help teach kids in school and my daughter at home. But the just cut off the video witch cuts off most of the learning potential. It say you can not play video out of the United States but I live in Massachusetts. Fix this and the app will be back to 5 stars.

Good to point 3/5
By star-dancer-poet
My only objection would be that we could rebuild the element or molecule after you achieved it, but have not find it so I could early on my call which I doubt I am.
A fun learning experience 5/5
By Rctf
Nova elements is really fun and educational except that its too short they should add more things to do
Reset works 5/5
By TCCSA
If you reset the game, from the settings on the intro screen, you CAN reset the table. The labeling should be clearer, and notify the user that its resetting EVERYTHING.
Need more! 4/5
By Mom of H2O girl
Great app. Got a 4th grader really interested in chemistry - will u b adding more shows? Ty
Awesome! 5/5
By Racker3386
I am a chemistry teacher and this app is GREAT!! You can build atoms by making sure it has the correct number of protons, neutrons and electrons. You can also build molecules, you have to take into account the valence electrons and it shows single, double, and triple bonds. I highly recommend!
Better than the best 5/5
By BimTheBoss
This app has made me love chemistry. It has the best presentations and examples of the elements.
Love it!
Great App 4/5
By Fun educational game.
Great app for teaching structure of individual atoms as well as molecular structure. I would give it 5 stars if there was a way to access a periodic table from within the game.
My 7yo and 9yo love this! 5/5
By unscriptable
It's hard to imagine an educational app more fun than this. Might require a bit of adult supervision to get started, but if you go over the instructions on each page, your kids will catch on fast.
