I was skeptical of this app because of the bad reviews, I wasn’t sure if it was going to work or be legitimate. I was surprisingly happy! I got a three month supply and am super excited about the rest of the year they are autoshipping! I am definitely recommending this app to everyone.
This is the most helpful app I have ever used. It is easy to navigate. The staff you chat with are polite and succinct. If one kind of birth control doesn’t work for you, it’s so easy to let them know and have them send you another one. I love it!! I’ve told all my friends.
I can’t believe how seamless this process was. In less than a week after downloading the app for the first time, I had my first three month supply delivered to my door, completely free and processed through my insurance. Had to write a comment about my fave app lately. It saves your time and life! First of all, if you know what you gonna have, it’s so easy! But if you don’t, your questions will be answered. I knew what I wanted to have so all I did was requesting my pills, uploading my insurance card and other info. What I couldn’t believe is my insurance covered pills with $0 copay and Nurx didn’t charge anything else! Even shipping! I didn’t pay anything. Package came with all the info I need. Not giving 5 because...I requested pills on April 3rd and got them on 16th. It took a little bit long, so I recommend you request your pills 2 weeks in advance before your period starts. Otherwise, it’s an amazing service!

I was quite skeptical at first but for convenience I figured I would give it a shot. I was very impressed. My order was reviewed within 24 hours. I also had put a note to the doctor that I wanted something free of charge with my insurance. They followed my instructions and 4 days later I received my 3 month supply. Happy to learn that they also offer PrEP! Very impressed and will share this with everyone I know!

I order though this app hoping to get the prescription that my doctor had prescribed for me. They took over two weeks to process the prescription then when I tried to cancel it because it was taking so log and I had already gotten it elsewhere they said they couldn’t because it was already at the pharmacy and I should have canceled earlier even though there was no communication that that was even happening. The person I talked to on the phone was rude also.

Initially I had my prescription swapped out and I did not tolerate it well. I stopped taking it midway and reached out to Nurx through their “talk to a doctor” section. Nothing. Emailed to tell them I no longer wanted the prescription. Nothing. Received a refill email, wrote them back letting them know I no longer wanted it. Nothing. Get a notification it shipped. Wrote again I did not want it. Nothing. Would not recommend this to anyone, even if you know exactly what you want, they will switch it without telling you and not respond to messages.

I work about 60 hours a week so going to the doctor is just not even something I can think about. I saw an ad for this app on Facebook so thought I would try it. Honestly, it seemed way too good to be true but after doing research I thought I would give it a go. The customer service is by far the best part of the app. Each message is answered within a few hours with very helpful information as well as super nice and professional! It’s an amazing app that makes birth control easily accessible and cheap. There are some minor bugs that need to be fixed like keeping you logged in. I also wanted to answer questions to find the one right for me but that didn’t work so I had to scroll through all the choices. It was all processed and delivered within a week with it automatically refilling and shipping to my door. If you don’t have insurance it is very cheap, around $15, but mine was free with my crappy insurance. 100% recommend.

Excellent customer service! Took only a week, my insurance was billed the full amount, the doctor and customer service reps gave helpful suggestions. I LOVE that I don't have to make time to see a doctor in person, or visit a pharmacy. I'm telling every girl I know about this.

I am giving this app five stars because of how awesome my contact with the doctors/people who work there was. The app itself is glitchy, but the website works just fine.
Anyway, when I did the initial questionnaire, they very quickly responded that I could not take normal BC because I have migraines with an aura. They recommended a few things, one being a progestin only pill. I decided to go with that and use my insurance to pay for it. There was an issue with my insurance at first that they were very helpful with fixing. One of the people I was in contact with even called my insurance after they didn’t respond for almost a week. I really appreciate that they did all of that to help. It’s weird doing things like this online because it feels impersonal, but they did seem to care about my wellbeing as best as they can through the internet. Overall it has been a great experience.

So, I’ve been going to the local health department because I can’t afford insurance and they work on a sliding scale. I’ve been on the pill for years, skipping my periods, which is life changing for me because my periods are horrendous and my cycle is ridiculously short. Anyway, I’ve been super happy, I’m in great health, I work out 6 days a week, zero problems. The doctors had always been great.
Then, on my last visit for my annual, I discovered the awesome doctor I’d been seeing had left and been replaced by a Nazi who clearly hadn’t read a white paper in years. She never even opened my file, wouldn’t listen to a word I said, she’d decided before even meeting me that I would get an iud. I am the worst candidate ever for an iud, I explained that I didn’t want one and why. She replied, “What choice do you have? Get pregnant? “ And refused to discuss it further.
I left, fuming! Nobody coerces me or bullies me. Especially about my body. My last experience with getting pills online was extremely expensive and I had to ship to a friend in California who forwarded them to me, since NC didn’t allow prescriptions to be shipped here. Then I found Nurx. Hallelujah! My failed doctor visit cost me $248.00 and left me without birth control. Nurx sent me a generic of my same pills for only $5.00 a pack, shipping included! Nurx, where have you been all my life? I love this! Can’t say enough positive things. What a lifesaver! Thank you!

Not sure how others are able to get a quick response because I’ve tried twice to get a BC patch and haven’t been able to yet. I submitted my request on Monday morning and the first communication I received was on Friday at 6:35pm. Asking if I was sure I wanted what I requested. I replied yes and then it took a whole other week for them to reply. Every time they ask me a question it takes another week to get a reply from them. I’m not sure if I’m really going to keep waiting.
Nurx wanted me to pay $435 for a generic BC!
What is wrong with this industry?? Pretty sure nothing is affordable with healthcare anymore! This world is pathetic and money hungry!

i’m trying to unsubscribe but i have not gotten a reply yet and don’t want to be charged for birth control i can’t use. it would be easier if they gave you the option to unsubscribe with just a click of a link but you have to communicate with them that you want to unsubscribe from a refill and once you do they take forever to reply back.
Easy access to birth control! This is what the world needs. I love nurx so much. The doctors and staff are so helpful and they send me my birthcontrol every month without missing a beat and because of that im more compliant. Also it helps that with my insurance its free. I do not review often but i had to for them. They are THE BEST!

I was a little skeptical about getting my birth control from an app, but I’ve had nothing but a great experience with Nurx. The doctors are knowledgeable, the process was easy, my request was processed quickly, my birth control was shipped quickly (I got it in 2-3 days after it was approved) and it was completely free, birth control and shipping and doctor’s advice and all. And the kind of contraception I chose used to cost me $30/month because it’s brand name but they managed to get it free for me (it’s either free or the cost of your copay). Overall would definitely recommend.

When I placed my first order the communication was great, back and forth messaging instantly. Now that I need to cancel so they won’t charge my card I can’t get a hold of anyone. They are answering me emails or messages, this is unbelievable. Beware when you try to cancel your subscription it will be nearly impossible and by that time they already have your banking info. Will not prescribe if you take seizure meds 1/5
I was so thrilled with the thought of Nurx until I found out that they would not prescribe any BC due to the fact that I take lamictal, a seizure/bipolar med. However, I have been taking both lamictal and the BC of choice for years without problems. That wasn’t good enough for them, stating something about “guidelines”. Um, hello, how about we use some critical thinking here?
Huge disappointment. Now I have to go get speculum inserted just to get BC, purely because I take a seizure med. Thanks a lot Nurx 🙄

There is absolutely no way for you to be able to delete your account or cancel your subscription which is incredibly suspicious and veryyyy frustrating. Nobody messages back when I address this concern. Still trying to delete my account…!!!

I just subscribed today, so maybe I’m not giving enough time. But I need to update my profile information because I realized I used the wrong address and card information and the whole app freezes every time I try. As soon as I click on profile the whole thing stops working. I tried resetting my phone, logging in and out and deleting the app and downloading again. We need this fixed so we can make updates as needed and cancel subscriptions if needed.
I was skeptical in trying this app because I didn't know if it would be convenient or beneficial for me but boy was I right to feel as such. I did the whole thing where I placed my order and pick the birth control I wanted. One thing I should mention is that I did want a specific brand that my doctor had originally prescribed me before and I really didn't feel like changing BC because of how I may or may not react to it. Anyways I placed my order in advanced and was processed within 2 days but now I was awaiting for delivery. Well I waited and waited, and it had been over a week before I finally messaged them asking what was taking so long. Apparently, the pharmacy has been out of stock with the specific brand I requested and they failed to inform me that they wouldn't have it in stock for another 2 MONTHS...so then they suggest that they could have my prescription sent to my local pharmacy... Are you kidding me?! If I had wanted that, I would've never bothered with trying to get it delivered from you guys ?! Ugh what got me was the lack of communication from them about not letting me know that my B.C. Is out of stock and o wouldn't be receiving it anytime soon. That is something I would have liked to know ASAP so I can anticipate not taking my B.C. You guys are screwing people over by not communicating and your inability to actually deliver BC like your whole app is meant to do is such a failure. I would not recommend to anyone.

They don’t service in Maryland of all states, but serve DC. I really was looking forward to moving on with this until I had to place my state in.
I feel like any review that has given them more than one or two stars are fake. I read the reviews at first and I thought it was only a few people who had a bad experience but no, they’re terrible. They don’t respond to you and it seems like even on the website to email them you never know if your message even got sent out. It’s a scam and simply just a waste of time.

I have been trying for two weeks to cancel my subscription through the app because my next shipment is supposed to be due in April and money is tight. I am able to get into the app but when I try to go to my profile the whole app freezes and I can’t change it. I have try restarting my phone, closing the app and opening again, signing out and back in, AND deleting the app and re downloading it. I don’t know what else to do. Please try to get back to me Nurx team!!

Man, what a headache this service has been this month. I had not received any updates on my next order, so I message the nurx team about 8 days in advance. This is where it went downhill.
I got one response, and it was a macro that did not address the situation. After that, silence. I tried calling them but they don’t have a live human on the phones because after being on hold for 20 minutes... I was sent to voicemail.
My order simply didn’t process in time. I explained I needed it sooner, and they didn’t act until I was completely out and needed it that day. They said they would call and reverse the order and send it to my local pharmacy. This just didn’t happen. No records of this on my insurance or pharmacy. I ended up paying $20 out of pocket because I knew they would not handle this by EOD. I followed up with them to let them know it didn’t go through, had to pay out of pocket, and I won’t be continuing their service. Their response: “sorry not sorry! See ya”. There was no attempt to make it right.
Ultimately, if they want to be a player in this market, they need to do something better. My doctor can renew and send prescription via the web and I can see more live support from their office. This isn’t a matter of not getting my amazon package in two days, this is not getting medication pertinent to my health on time. They don’t see the urgency when dealing with this. At least my doctor has some idea here. Convenient? Sure, out of the4/5 months I used it. Reliable? No.

I always update my nurx app but this recent update left my app a little unresponsive. I go to my profile and can’t tap anything. I’ve tried turning my phone off, closing and reopening the app. It’s just unresponsive for whatever reason.

I submitted an inquiry for an order for a pill that was not on the list, and the Dr sent through an order that I did not authorize. Even after several messages of me telling them NOT to process the order because they were prescribing a pill that I do not take, they still placed the order & charged my card! Do not use this app!!

A LIFE SAVER (sounds dramatic but it’s amazing) 5/5
This app has it all, convenience, great customer service, and just an overall great service that they’re providing. The fact that I don’t have to go back and for to the doctor for a prescription every 3 months, is amazing. The fact that it come right to my home, is amazing. I signed up and within less than a week they had processed my insurance, I spoke with a medical physician who made sure I got exactly what I needed and answered any questions, and then it was on my way and delivered! Best part, since I have insurance, it’s completely free. No service charge, no delivery charge. Nothing. I just get what I need with no hassle. And it’s great.
At first I was skeptical, worried, thought for sure it was a scam. But I was completely wrong and surprised in a GREAT WAY.
I’ve gotten the same birth control before in the typical way, and it was the same exact product. Same packaging. Everything. Only difference, I don’t have to deal with bs.
If you haven’t already, just go for it. Even if you don’t have insurance it’s only $15 a month. And completely worth it.

This app is a life saver! After a horrible and traumatizing experience with my last gyno, a birth control prescription about to run out, and a medical condition that needs continuous birth control, I was panicking. I found this app and was hesitant at first and questioned if this was even legit. I submitted my info and didn’t expect anything to come back. I was amazed to hear back from a doctor and my insurance paid for it completely. I did however have to pay a small fee to use an out of nurx network pharmacy ($12 for a year prescription) my prescription was promptly filled and I now have a years worth of birth control pills I can take continuously (something my last gyno said my insurance wouldn’t cover) this app will help so many women! Thank you!!!
Not serving patients in certain states 1/5
They don’t serve patients in my state (KY)! But they do serve in Ohio and Indiana, so that was upsetting. Seemed like a super cool idea but I was extremely let down. Just don’t get your hopes up if you don’t live in one of the 17 states they actually ship to.

I was so excited about this app. Finally downloaded it and all it asks for is my thumb print and then stays on that screen. I’ve tried deleting the app and re installing it but nothing works.

This is an amazing idea and I love it but the app is such a pain!! It crashes frequently and at this moment I can’t even get into the app to pay for the next prescription.
Aside from the technical issues, they give you a lot of information on different options and I haven’t had any other problems with it. I would vote 4 stars because of technical issues but I appreciate the app enough I don’t want to bring its rating down!

I like Nurx and the concept of Nurx, and I’m extremely glad I can access it on a regular browser, because the app will not load at all. I’ve updated the app, reinstalled it, etc. and it the loading symbol just spins and spins. It does ask for my Touch ID but since I’ve never logged into the Nurx app before, that doesn’t help with logging in!
