Very happy with this app 5/5
So would recommend this app to anyone who is serious about making connections.
Thanks for the great app!
Disappointed, but honestly shows promise. 3/5
I've honestly had a lot of success using OKC for a long while! However, that was only when my account was relatively new. I seriously enjoy how in-depth this app can go with the questionnaires. But in order to be really successful using this, you truly need a premier membership. If money is no issue, then this app will be just fine! If you stick to the free route, then you'd better be extremely good-looking/photogenic, lol.

I think it’s broken.
Stuff works. Full app is pretty expensive. 3/5
By El Dudoreno
9.99 a month seems a little steep to see who is interested in you. Other than that everything seemed to work.
Password reset failure 1/5
When you click forgot password, it generates an email with a link to click to reset password. The link takes you back to the app to login and it’s a loop with no ability to reset a password.
Ok... Cupid? 5/5
It’s a love hate thing but I don’t use any other dating apps.. i think this is the best platform for connecting with people.
I got my account suspended 1/5
I got my account suspended after an updated and can’t access it anymore so I decided to make a new one today and my new account got suspended in less than 2 hours and idk why!
Can’t log in 1/5
I signed up for this a while ago and deleted it right away because I got 100+ messages in an hour all just saying “hi” and it was too much to keep track of. I heard the messaging system changed and wanted to try again but since it has been over six months I couldn’t remember my password. When I had a reset link sent to me the link just took me back to the first page of the app so it’s impossible to use again
I understand that sex is a big part of hookup culture but it seemed to me that you had too many questions about kinky preferences & dealing with them made me feel really uncomfortable...
It’s … okay 3/5
By Meleah Ruffin
It’s not a bad app; I actually super all the questions that you gotta ask because it really does help with a better match. However, the demographics on this app are … weird. Idk … I’m 21 years old and I can’t seem to have any luck 🤷🏾♀️.
Found my amazing boyfriend 5/5
Have been with this guy for nearly 5 years :) However, you must be very careful, and weed through all the people who you aren't into. It took me a year on the app to find someone worth it. Definitely had some odd dates. Don't give up! If I gave up I wouldn't have found my amazing bf :) Use common sense, don't put any contact info on the page and be safe!
What more is there? 4/5
By Mike D. Yo
You can’t ask for much more from the peeps at OKC. They have designed a wonderful app and keep the updates coming. Premium service isn’t necessary to connect. If you’re serious about it you can get it but it isn’t required. The new messaging system is awesome. The only issue I had was the amount of fake profiles with women that post minimal profiles, one picture, and had there number on it. Obviously, fake. All the numbers had the same prefix. But that seems to slowed down. Also, the app would freeze when sending a message. The message would go through but the app had to be reset. I know it went through because I got a response on one. Overall, great platform. Not perfect. But better than all the rest. The beat part? NO FACEBOOK REQUIREMENTS. I don’t have Facebook. I want to keep it that way.
Banned for being conservative 1/5
Big tech is liberal. This is just another leftist social media echo chamber that polices free thought. I didn’t say or do anything impolite. I imagine my opinions didn’t fit with the Stasi groupthink monitoring.
Pretty ok 5/5
Pretty good, and free. Guys like that. I don’t know about girls; I just talk to guys. Cheers!
Not working 1/5
It always says no internet connection whats wrong
Was better 4/5
So, before the changes to likes and messages, this was a much better app. Still fun tho!
A-list not worth it!!! The new app version stinks, 1/5
I've been usign this app off and on for years and its continuously gotten better, A-list allowed you to unlock more features, like who has liked you and who has viewed your profile.
No more! Now every time you swipe right you get propted to write a message.
No place to see profile visitors and annoying boost upsells. Im here trying to find a date not advertising my artisinal pretzels on FB!!
For context, Its been about 6 months or so since last use and they have changed a lot. Once my subscription(which is non refundable) expires I wont use it again.
No variety 1/5
By negra mora
Same men holding big fish, standing in front of a sports car. Not enough black men!!!
Stop writing rude and offensive remarks on updates! Your nasty sarcasm is unbelievable.
Anyone can get your profile suspended for any reason! 1/5
By Suspened no reason
Only had it for 2 days even paid for a subscription. Met some butt hurt person who couldn’t take rejection so got reported and no questions asked suspended me and will not respond to my emails bout my money back!
Don’t give this company your money just play on it!!!
Messaging is a bummer 3/5
There’s a delay with messaging, you have to keep clicking out of the conversation to see recent responses
Same people, different hour, different day.. 1/5
I could careless what your harmonious matching algorithm tells ya, if I swipe and decline a profile I would prefer not to see it again. One I feel as I’m blatantly turning the guy down, Bc of how many times I swipe no. And two, it makes no sense. Maybe a repeat in a week or so, but to see the same folks day in and day out just means your pool of matches/users has declined. I use the app when bored but have no real expectation of meeting anyway. In fact I should delete it
Reading and sending messages is nearly impossible here. The app wasn’t like this before. I really hate how complicated they made this new layout. So much for trying to communicate with potential candidates.
Best way to discover what your looking for 4/5
By Red One 56
The format of asking the questions you feel like answering works well. Users can share a lot about themselves but still only what they want to.
I haven’t used this app until recently. Since I last used it, it has been stripped down to the bare minimum. I used to be able to see all of the people in my area but now from what I understand it, if you’re not A list you don’t see as many. I sent them an email addressing this concern and haven’t heard back yet.
This is a legit dating app. For whatever you're looking for, they have it. I'm made many friends and I've met someone special as well just from this app. I have no complaints about this app. It's very easy to use and it goes in depth when meeting someone. People get a chance to describe themselves and advertise themselves on more than just physical appearance. As well as you can message someone without necessarily "matching" with them. Love it!
Unfortunately I am deleting my account because I have found someone. But if I ever need to make more friends or something more, this will be my go to.
Horrible App 1/5
Decided to give this app another shot with the new format. Don’t, it is a waste of your time, and they rip you off. Paid for A-List premium and a 10 pack of boosts, and had 0 profile likes. Buyer Beware.
It’s pretty intense with the questions and options. It’s nice to get through some important stuff before actually messaging.
Conversations disappear!!! 3/5
By OkCupid member
Thank you for your reply, however, you did not understand the data problem. The problem experienced has nothing to do with “liking”. I had a “conversation” with 3 different people; back and forth conversations on my cell phone. They were in my conversations. Then, when I logged into OkCupid on my laptop later the same day, the conversations were NOT there. No record of this back and forth conversation.
The phone app and other devises (such as laptop) do not sync. Conversations have disappeared from my profile page when not using one devise exclusively. No one at okCupid to actually talk to, but they did respond to my email.
No Customer Sevice 1/5
My account is currently hacked. Checked my email and it was filled with email notifications about measage convo’s I wasn’t having. Tried to log on to delete billing info and account and the acct is suspended. There is NO customer support number and no way to get in contact with anyone to address issue. STAY AWAY!!
Worse dating app 1/5
By okc quitter
This app shows you all genders and doesn’t regulate its users well
Functional and convenient 5/5
Easy to use, no major hiccups, and not overly intrusive. Matches well with the online experience as well - solid product.
What happened 1/5
Whatever changes he has made you need to go ahead and revert back to what it used to be like I can’t even message anyone anymore the amount of people you can like is capped off. The amount of likes that you can have and communication is now limited.
Lots to like 5/5
The questions are a great thing in my opinion. Haven’t tried A list so I’m not sure what the paying folks get. It’s probably worthy of the fee.
Wait for Facebook Personals 1/5
New messaging format is horrible. The site is a ghost town. It feels like the developer did a survey and women said they didn't like some of the responses men sent them. Instead of working on improving the experience they took everything, put it in a dumpster and set it on fire. You could try another site like POF or Match but it's all the same company now. I expect I'll get a response on here that will read "blah blah we're not changing, we hope everyone will benefit". Save your time and wait for Facebook Personals.
It’s alright but I run out of possible matches far too fast there shouldn’t be a premium amount of money to meet someone. That’s just dumb...
Changes to OK Cupid 3/5
By cant think if anything else
It’s best features disappeared: the tests; seeing likes without payment; testimonials; chat function; screen names you choose. It’s become filled with scammers.
Not Good 1/5
By Citrus Services
The app has some serious flaws from my point of view. They are as follows:
a). Users of the app can not see the people who visit your profile. I explained to my students that this functionality was turned off recently . I asked my students to evaluate the decision and rationale for the decision as published by OkCupid and 100 percent of my students thought this move by OkCupid was foolhardy. The general consensus was this: it’s important to know who is following you but too shy or unsure to act on his or her feelings. If you know someone is interested and incapable of acting, knowledge of this gives you the opportunity to reach out and “break the ice” so to speak. Out of 500 students, this decision by OkCupid was the one that caused the most confusion from a business model perspective.
b). As far as we can tell from the phone app, you cannot search for matches at location of your own choosing. You can search “near me”, in the town you live, or everywhere. This caused a lot of distress among those students that live one place but plan on moving to another place upon graduation. Again, out of 500 students, this was a huge setback.
Better than eH or Match! 5/5
More quality matches and less fraud!
Good app but needs fixing 3/5
I’ve been on okcupid not Long, I like it but a person I already liked on the app they’re making like them every time I get on and same with another person and it won’t send the message the first time
Please fix this it’s getting very old and annoying
Too many gay people 3/5
By Jake Hwang
Im not saying gay is bad. Im just saying as a straight man id prefer an app with more straight women.
I like it for the most part. 4/5
I like it for the most part but the texting tends to lag a lot!
No response to customer service 1/5
I’ve sent several complaints with no response. I had long hair and recently buzzed my hair short . I look exactly the same just short hair obviously. Apparently someone said one pic was not me and supposedly OKC reviewed and took it down. I see countless dudes with pics with long and short hair. You really want us to look exactly the same in every picture how is that even possible? Why can others have different hair styles, but I can’t?
You now have to like each other to see their message? 1/5
This is supposed to promote communication and dating but if you now can’t even see their message unless you swipe right on them and GUESS right it’s them who liked and messaged you that doesn’t promote it at all. It’s complete crap. They are making it harder and harder to talk to people. So now you find someone you like, you actually take the time to send them a real message, not just ‘hey’, ask them questions based on their likes or dislikes. Well guess what? That was a complete waste of time now because not only is their profile hidden now that you sent a message, it stays hidden until you match and they reply but they will more than likely NEVER read it unless they swipe right on you. That’s insane.
Lonely place 1/5
Half the users in my area haven’t been active for months.
I’ve never felt more lonely than when I had this app downloaded nobody cares about match percentages because of double take, glad I uninstalled..
its like any other dating app but worse 1/5
the title says it all. its literally Tinder but with a clunky interface. the most unique thing the app has is the question/answers but the idea is mostly treated as interface. I’m sure it influences the apps double take system or how discovery works but, as a user, it just feels like interface noise. whats really odd is that it seems double take and discovery are connected in that you swipe left on a person in double take and they disappear from your discover. Where this concept gets odd is that after a few months when you start running out of people your discover fills up with all the people who most likely swiped left on you. I cant describe how weird it is to get on a app only to see all the people who aren't interested in you.... unless the idea is to make you feel bad so you buy premium (which premium doesn’t seem to resolve this odd design) I dont get the idea behind this design. Note I am a gay man so maybe its different for straights or bi but i dont really see how it could be
The ads cause problems 2/5
I miss when ads wouldn't come up. They freeze up my phone and I've had to reset it a few times. Not to mention when people email me it doesn't always show in my inbox until I am swiping through people and then I see something about them contacting me. With! It's not in my inbox.
Was a good app now 💩 1/5
Original app was awesome before being bought out, now they have destroyed the app, I can’t even see my matches anymore where before I would have 10-12 matches. Time to move on.
By meet anybody
Ok Cupid keeps it simple. Browse then msg no bull. Met a lot of friends on here and will keep it as a tool to socialize. Excellent job!!!!!
Your stupid app can't even log in 1/5
YOUR STUPID APP CANT EVEN LOG IN. What more can I say? Reset my password twice and yet it's unrecognizable. I only want to log in to look at profiles in different cities without being there geographically--that's truly the only thing different or useful about OKCupid. It's inferior in every other way, especially for women. The old function of not having to match to message other people means an onslaught of verbal assault for women and it's disgusting--moreso than traditional 'hookup apps,' such as tinder. If you don't have an account, don't sign up. It's not worth it.
