I used to love this App 1/5
I used to love this app until I saw that it was draining my battery. I always go to bed with 100% battery, and when I wake up, at least 8 hours later, it’s still at 100%, until about a week ago, when it was under 90%. I looked at my battery info on the phone, and I saw that this app was using over 40% of my battery, even though I haven’t opened it in over a week!! I guess I’ll just be looking at the webpage for the LIRR schedules from now on. UGH!!
Was great 1/5
Was great until it stopped showing the Ronkonkoma schedule. Keeps telling me to update except there is no update available
By Da kid young shimi
Was better 3/5
Was much better before all the pop up ads started blocking the schedule your trying to look at.
It is normally very accurate 4/5
I use it all the time
Great LIRR app 5/5
Easy to use, gives you the track number in Penn Station as soon as it’s announced, reliable n stable
Track No.? 5/5
By Floral Drive West
Having the “predicted track number” on the app is very helpful.
Wish wish hope 3/5
By zzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzz
I really wanted this to work but sitting on track 17 the announcement was 20. Not close. I will though try it again since I live on faith but reality forms after a while.
No longer a good app 2/5
Once a decent app. Now there superior options that also happen to be free.
WAY TOO MANY ADS 1/5
This used to be great, now the ADVERTISING is obnoxiously irritating. I left this app and now using MTA version.
Pretty accurate with times and tracks 5/5
Especially useful when at Penn Station (construction madness). A cool feature to have would be alerts for preferred train times or lines.
WAY Too Many Ads 1/5
The amount of ads this app has is crazy. It’s totally understandable to have ads on a free app but this is excessive. It’s constantly playing full screen ads with sound, and not just once when you open it.
Aggressive Ads 1/5
This app has become unusable due to all the aggressive ads. Deleting this app and switching over to the one by MTA.
New Feature - Sudden, Loud, Obnoxious Full Screen Ads. 1/5
2nd New Feature - MobileWare insists you provide your real-time location, or else they are going to cover a third of your screen, including relevant information, with a bright red drop-down banner that you can’t close (until you let them and third-party advertisers track you).
I’d gladly pay for a one-time purchase fee or low annual subscription, but I don’t trust developers that want to track you and employ these methods.
This is otherwise a very good app, and some of their other apps I’d also consider. I’d be especially skeptical when those apps are of a financial nature.
So, instead of subscribing, I’ll probably be deleting this app sooner rather than later. Too bad. MobleWare was an excellent example of a well designed app in versions past.
Track predictions 2/5
By Mike Balls123
While the idea behind the app is a good one, the track predictions are wrong more than 50% of the time.
LIRR ON TIME 5/5
By Real captain 76
Ads are maddening. 1/5
The adds that you can’t skip or ignore make this app difficult to use. there’s always a lag, so what’s a 5 second ad becomes 15- all crucial time when you’re looking for a train.
Life saver 5/5
By Aprils Reviews
Best LIRR app. It’s never wrong.
Ads ads ads 1/5
Too many ads and wouldn’t let me close the “upgrade to premium” pop up
popover = train missed 2/5
Totally understand banner ads and their load time on a free app. Happens on this app and I can deal with it. What’s difficult to appreciate are additional random full screen popovers that don’t close covering all train info and costing shot nerves or the difference in catching that train.
This app never gives the right track it’s terrible 1/5
Can’t function without it!! 5/5
By Starling. Cap
App gives me up to the minute schedules and delays. Makes my life so much less stressful going between NYC and Long Island.
Pretty exact 5/5
I just moved here From Chile and downloaded all the transportation apps . This One is so far the most exact clear amd easy use. Timing and delays are soecify and the boatding tracks as well.
Works great 5/5
By Armandd tognann
Ive been using this app for years never once had a problem the people complaining are probably just being spoiled n ungrateful lol
Great app 5/5
Easy to use. Updated regularly to reflect schedule changes. Well done.
Love this app 5/5
This app is great! It makes it so convenient to check the railroad times and it’s always accurate!
No longer seems to be the official schedule app 1/5
I assume the private company that developed this app lost its contract because now the home screen is an ad and it tries to get you to upgrade to premium service and the “not now” button doesn’t work. Apple’s App store should really remove this spamware forthwith.
The ads don’t go away. Waste of MY time 1/5
By hater 7777777
Stupid app wish I could give it zero stars
More than adequate
Good app 4/5
By LI travel
Sometimes it doesn’t work. When it does it’s good
A must have app 5/5
By Lee NDL Commish
Reliable and accurate
Best train app 5/5
This app is hands down best for on-time/latest info
If the train information is wrong, then what good is this app?
Great App 5/5
Very accurate and reliable app.
Can’t use because their ad won’t go away 1/5
I can’t even see the train schedule because their ad for their “premium” won’t leave the screen!
My go to App for my commute 4/5
The developers have nailed the easy to use GUI for selecting routes
Updates but no fixes 2/5
While the times are accurate, the track predictions aren’t even close. They’ve been told that track 2A doesn’t exist in Penn Station but yet they keep predicting that the train will depart from that track.
App review 5/5
This app is extremely helpful and handy, as well as easy to use. I highly recommend it!
Life Saver 5/5
By Energy PM
Really appreciate this app as it keeps me organized and making it to and from my destination on-time. Easy to use and follow
They are not affiliated with the MTA not responsible. 3/5
Be warned don't use them for any accurate info . The app told me my train was off peak and I bought an off peak ticket, only to be told I needed to pay a step up fair by the conductor. I showed him the app. The answer was this is not the Lirr App. Sorry.
Ads on LIRR on Time?? 1/5
Omg not only is the LIRR the worst commuter rail service - overpriced and subsidized by taxes !! Now the app is selling advertising and targeting us with unwanted solicitations ! This is disgraceful !!!
Liked old app better 1/5
Old app easier to navigate, info was easier and more clear, new app a fail
Color / Visual cue needed to indicate travel direction. 3/5
By Marc Zoomari
Pretty good app, and game changer for looking up the train schedule.
On easy suggestion. The background color should change depending on wether you are traveling east or west in the LIRR. Several times, when in a rush, I end up looking at the wrong direction and miss my train. But a simple visual cue would eliminate this.
Joe T LIRR 5/5
By Jersey JoeT
I love the App. Use it all time on Phone. Keeps me in tune with schedule. I’m from Jersey but go to Deer Park from NYPenn all the time.
no longer works. instantly crashes 1/5
app was great but now always crashes without even loading. had to delete
Ads prevent optimal usage 4/5
This app is better than the MTA’s own app, but recent additions of long ads that pop up that you can’t stop or skip is infuriating. Imagine trying to look for a train in a hurry, only to be prevented from doing so because of a useless ad! (Still 4 stars when there are no ads.)
On Time 2/5
It is rarely accurate.
Would Give 5 Stars Without The Pop Up Ads! 4/5
Ads can be a nuisance when you really need the train schedule, but what else should I expect from a FREE App?
By Nino Cara
it sure beats looking for a ticket machine
