Train time 5/5
Excellent app, it works great.
Great app! 5/5
Very organized and accurate!
By Dyq G
I use it everyday. No other way to commute.
Extremely Resourceful 5/5
This app is true to MNR statistics and reporting.
Ad hostage 1/5
The app forces you to endure ads before the option to x-out. Plus the ads hijack the whole screen. Moving on to another. This used to be good.
Issues with Holiday train schedule 3/5
This app is ok for day to day use and is pretty accurate at predicting departure tracks out of Grand Central. It’s a mess with holiday train schedule. Looked at it 4 different times and got 4 different schedules. For morning rush hour this is a huge inconvenience, especially as you are planning your commute. The pop-up ads got annoying as well.
Advertisements take over the whole screen 1/5
This used to be a 5 star app and I had been using it for years, but they now have advertisements pop up, take over the whole screen and makes you wait to close them out, just when trying to find out which train to catch.
Please change your advertisements to a bar at the bottom of the screen rather than taking over the whole page!
Very helpful and precise 5/5
Use this App Gets me there on time for sure.
Really Useful! 5/5
By I Eat Pu$$y
Whether you use the Metro North every day, or occasionally, this app really helps you plan your trips/stay on schedule! I recommend it to anyone who uses the Metro North!
Great but a little slow 4/5
By Class of 1978
This really helps to find the right train times. I particularly like the “load next day” button. I only wish that whoever made this terrific app would team up with the MTA, because their app could really use improvement.
Consumes 88% million of battery 2/5
Essentially the app continuously updates and runs when closed. A brand new phone was only lasting 7-8 hours.
I eventually made some setting changes to resolve this. Luckily I figured this out...but freshly installed it defaults to this extremely unthoughful junk programming logic.
It’s just crap coding...but it is useful
Ok but... 1/5

Political ads not appreciated. Be smarter, you re out.
Useful app, with too many ads 2/5
Content is great! I don’t mind small ads, but this app now has full screen pop up ads that hijack the screen. No thanks.
Decent app if... 4/5
By you asked for this...
...the ads didn’t play with sound on. I understand the developer is addressing this.
Excellent and timely updates
Get It Together 1/5
App interrupts with inane ads, so I pay the ransom to remove. THEN, the app forgets my password, and says it’s sending a reset email - that does not arrive. $4.95 paid and I’m denied using even the free version until I can sort this. Just what I need on the way to work. THANK YOU.
Too many adds 1/5
The number of ads has increased dramatically. Maddening and looking for alternatives.

Serving full page mobile ads on a utility site - very poor. Deleted forever after several years of loyal use.
Used to be okay 2/5
By Saint Alphonzo
A train schedule app is the last place you want to see ADS in. They never used to have ads, now you’ll be rushing through Grand Central trying to find your train, and they will show you a freaking VIDEO, as if it wasn’t the last thing in the world you want at that moment. Cheap and gross, find another Metro North app!
It works 5/5

Auto play Ads 3/5
This is a great app. But why? Why? Have interstitial Ads with auto play audio?? Bad experience. Please at least have audio muted!
Intrusive ads 2/5
By metronorth commuter
Ads have become more intrusive with every upgrade!! Interfering with getting quick updates.
So useful 5/5
By A twerp
App is wonderful to use during my frequent trips to NYC. I have a variable schedule so I always check back to see what’s possible for getting in and out of Grand Central.
Time sucking ads 1/5
Started using a pop-up that makes you wait 15 seconds. Besides it only shows the same information as a couple other apps and websites.
Used to be really good. Popups Block Screen 1/5
By Eli Landis
This used to be very good. During the past week they started pop ups blocking the screen. Very annoying when running for a train.
Best one yet 5/5
The is the easiest MTA Hudson line app yet, and I’ve had them all.
Full screen video ads taking over 1/5
A few seconds after the app launches, it shows full screen video ads with tiny close button. When you are in a rush and looking for train schedule, it’s be much more considerate for the app to be less aggressive with ads
Latest Update a Step in Wring Direction 2/5
Few versions ago they did away with countdown clock. They listened and fixed that. Now the latest version is terrible. If you leave it open in background it doesn’t know what time it is, which way you are going, and as others said, ads pop up and cover screen. Complete garbage now. Real shame.
Was a decent app. Now it is garbage. 1/5
This was a useful app with simple functionality. There were some annoying adds, but one can understand that revenue has to be generated and that’s how the developers chose to make money.
Now the pop up adds with sound make it unusable. I would pay for their removal a fair price. However, $5 yearly subscription does not meet this standard. Now everything has to be subscription...even a simple train schedule. One makes a simple app and wants constant income stream for superficial maintenance.
Convenient, accurate, fast 4/5
By Subway solitaire
Easy-to-use and determine the time to the next train. I wish you could more easily display the times you arrive so you can more easily see express versus local trains.
On time always on time
You should be able to have 2 Home stations
Works perfectly 5/5
Rarely has crashed. Is pretty accurate and better than my local Train app.
Excellent Information 5/5
By Rebuild Your Net Worth
Short and to the point. Provides the best basic info on schedules.
Makes My Life 100% Easier 5/5
This is accurate & has plento good info - if only the MTA could up their game to this level!
MTA on the go 4/5
On time 98%
By Mr Uki
Can be better but it’s ok
Let’s you know what time your train leaves. 5/5
And what time you will be back at your home station! It tells you the track so you know where to go when you get to Grand central. In the morning it tells you what train you need to catch! Thank you metro north!
Best way to get train information in the App Store
Great App 4/5
Accurate with times, but doesnt handle exceptions well - e.g. certain peak trains displayed as off-peak displayed as "off peak" on app...
Similarly, didnt handle a planned months-long closure; MTA set up a shuttle from Fordham to Melrose, but the app couldnt return any data on schedules to the latter
Great app for commuters 5/5
I love this app- saves me a lot of time. It's very convenient, and is easy to use. I highly recommend it!
Accurate and easy 5/5
Provides exactly what I need it - up to date train times including tracks and delays. I have definitely made trains because of this!
So many advertisements now it’s absurd
Very good app !!! 4/5
By Classic Car Dude
Used to use the MTA train time app. It appears the app has developed a number of bugs which cannot be avoided even if you uninstall and reinstall it.
Therefore on my quest for a better app, I came across THIS ONE !! Overall, this app is much better than TrainTime. My rating of four stars versus five stars is because this app could use a few improvements. Most notably, to be more accurate relative to its real time arrivals. While the app comes very close, I have found that it can be off by a few minutes leaving one to have to sprint to catch the train because of the incorrect time listed or, for one to not go for the train because the app says it had arrived when in reality it had not.
However, being a long time train traveler, I can tell you that after using a number of different apps, this is one of the best apps out there.
Had old schedule info, I missed my train. 1/5
Ads that you can’t swipe out of 1/5
An ad pops up that asks if you want to upgrade to premium. When you hit not now nothing happens. The ad won’t go away and you can’t check train info when you need to. This happens repeatedly. Unusable app.
Excellent in-time. Like the new cars.
