After this last update, the app crashes every time I try to open it. I hope this will be fixed soon.
I keep trying to log in and/or create an account on the app, but it says I must check my network connection. I then went to the browser and it allowed me to do both, so there must be some type of technical issue.

Credit card issues/ trouble booking 1/5
I was excited when I found a site that had low prices. When I Tried to book my flight and hotel that was advertised at a good rate, at the end of the transaction it stated “ room not available” and it advised me to select a different room/hotel. I encountered this issue multiple times. My credit card now has these pending transactions for the room that I could not book. To make matters more of a headache The package I tried to lock in was available. I get that the prices fluctuated but over the phone I was going to be charge a higher rate then advertise on the site. Customer service could not accommodate for the inconveniences or honor the price I originally tried to book it for since it was available the whole time. Orbitz wanted to offer a 50 dollar coupon towards a stand alone hotel for a next booking, but after this headache I’m not sure I would want to risk pending charges for transaction that might not go through.

I tried booking a trip through this app, for some reason they said my transaction did not go through. I tried again and it said bank declined. I looked at my account and they had $900 (which was not even the full amount of my trip) pending. I called them to try to come to some type of solution and figure out why money is pending if the transaction didn’t go through and all the wanted to do was blame my bank and tell me I have to wait 3 days for the money to come back. In 3 days the trip will not be available or way more expensive... This was nothing but a headache and they did nothing at all to try to help me! I’ll never go through this company ever and I suggest no one else does either!

About 3 Months ago I booked a flight from Syracuse to Orlando with orbits, the carrier frontier was the one that I scheduled my flight with. Frontier has been nothing but trouble and problems in changing their flight schedules from Syracuse on a regular basis. Interacting with Orbitz has also been a bit of a chore and honestly I may not go with them again. Too much trouble. I have been on the phone at least 5-6 hours to try to resolve issues. I work and 6 hrs to resolve ruins my day off!!!

Orbitz said if I download the app to buy the ticket I get a discount. Scam. Just bait to make you download, there is no discount. Then they make you pick a million names to post.

I have phoned orbitz twice, they are really lovely and helpful and will call the hotel for you if necessary. Orbitz website also shows more accurate photos of each room type and more detailed info of the hotel that you don’t see on other sites.
First time ever booking through Orbitz & had a flight through Spirit. Whatever you do, DO NOT fly, or spend your money with this airline. Absolutely ridiculous customer service after holding people 4hrs to finally cancel the flight. After all the flights I have been on, this experience has been the worst....

I booked a trip on orbitz and needed to cancel to days before the flight. The reason being the cost on orbitz is twice the amount of the cost on another site two days before the trip. I tried to cancel on the site and was informed that there was a glitch and I had to call, so I tried to reach customer service. I either get no one after waiting for over 20 mins. Or when I received a call back, I was supposed to press 1 to connect, but whenever I press 1, I get disconnected. Worst experience ever with all travel sites. The company is going under. I will never book again with orbitz.

Needed to make one small change - it took 6 hours one day to do so including waiting over an hour on the phone for any human voice. And still Orbitz never made the change eight days later! They are blaming the airlines for this mess. So they should have told me to call the airlines directly and not falsely promised to make it for me. Lessons learned - don’t use Orbitz again.

I normally use orbitz all the time. They have the lowest price a lot and it’s easy to use but the last few times I tried to buy through them I had problems. Like just now I went to buy airplane tickets. I filled out my info and hit complete purchase. It came back saying my flight had sold out. I thought I would double check and went through the process again (it didn’t save my passenger or payment info). This time it said the flight times has changed and made me enter the info AGAIN. Then it said the price had lowered. So I enter my info for a 4th time and it finally went through!

Do not use Orbitz. There are many categories of economy. You will have no idea what you are buying. Buy direct with the airline. No real meaningful savings anyway.

I like using my Orbitz app because I can quickly pull up my exact search and it’s easy to cross compare between airlines, hotels, etc... And checkout is quick and smooth also cancellations..

They give u 24 hours for cancellations but when u call to talk to cancel my trip they ask you to call back after 72 hours! They put me on hold for more than 2 hours and call disconnected after that.
Flight dates and price 1/5
I should be able to setup price alerts with the amount I want to pay for a certain date. Example is I want to set an alert for $250 per a trip I might book from 3/8/19-3/14. Plus the app doesn’t have home page when I’m looking at booking dates. If there are these features then they aren’t use or friendly.

I have been using Orbitz off and on for a couple years, but I used the site a bit interchangeably with other sites. But anyone who travels for a period of time knows there are mishaps and changes which occur when traveling. Today, Orbitz got me out of the third Jam in the last two years and has made a totally loyal customer. If you’re interested in why, read the story... if you care less just know Orbitz has always done what they could do to ease my travel bumps. Via the website or the human beings.
The recent story: I had a hotel reservation on Booking.com that was cancelled due to an error in their systems. So the first thing I checked was to see if the hotel was available on Orbitz. It wasn’t. Not a single room. So I called Booking.com - and proceeded to hear for the next 25 minutes that nothing could be done because their systems had cancelled me - even worse that any escalation for a resolution would take about a day. On a whim toward the end of the call with Booking.com, I checked Orbitz again... and lo and behold there was my cancelled slot, open on Orbitz now as the “only room available at the hotel”. So I booked the room with Orbitz and will NEVER use Booking.com again.

I called customer support twice to cancel my flight. All they did is canceled my insurance. I paid 1607.46 for booking, now I only got $300 refund.

Finally managed to set up trip DFW to LAS after 5 tries. I kept getting 'unable to complete booking'.
Other aspects are confusing: I was sent to a verification screen twice. I clicked 'save info' several times - it never did.

Very deceiving shell game. Show you one price, then hidden fees double your price. Then on top of that your trapped with a no cancellation rule. What a scam.

Pay the nominal rate of $50 to be able to change my flight. Meetings were over five hours ahead of time… Room on an earlier flight but was told my ticket was not eligible for me to ride... or change

I hate that I can't do 2 rooms when booking it only allows u to enter the amount of people for 1 one!!! And it doesn't allow to u see the ones you have saved to your list either. That is why I'm giving it one star bc I need those features. Will change my rating when features are added.

I have been using Orbitz for a couple of years now and they have taken very good care of us. Their customer service is top notch and issues are resolved quickly - even while on our trips! I don’t see a reason to use any other site.
Hotel room not what was booked and paid for 1/5
Booked a king suite room, was told that it wasn’t guaranteed when I arrived to check in even though I paid for the upgraded room. Was given a double basic room. Orbitz hasn’t resolved this issue therefore I will not use Orbitz for my future travel needs.
When I book trips on your app they don’t show up in my account 1/5
I don’t normally rate apps but this app frustrates me constantly. Once I have booked a flight the app never adds it to my account and allows want s me to download the app to add my itinerary. ARGH! I am using the app to book the flight why should I download the app again? My husband booked me a flight associated with my email address which is linked to my account and it doesn’t show up. Really? This is the MOST unfriendly app I’ve ever used.

App Doesnt Show Upcoming Trips 1/5
The point of this app is useless. It shows me my Orbucks and nothing else. I needed it to show me what my upcoming trips and flights are such as my itineraries--without that there’s no point to this app.
Horrible Credit card issues 1/5
Im so disappointed and frustrated with orbitz. I tried to book our birthday getaway trip to Cancun. It charged me twice and it never booked my trip and the pending charges didn’t give me an opportunity to try to get my vacations with other provider.

It’s my third time that I’m using orbit it was always in my back pocket I never used to serve as the primary source of trouble but for the last three times orbit at saved my trip by making sure that my reservations we’re booked on time there was no miscommunication and that I have A safe travel moving forward all my bookings will happen at orbit.
