Good Tool 5/5
By Relly Belly
This is a good way to stay connected. I’m glad this exist. I wish this was in place when my daughter that’s 25 years old was in school. Owell, key by gones be by gones.
Continually asked to register/authorize app 2/5
Almost every time I open the app, I’m asked to register it with my phone number (which requires multi-factor authentication).
Also, I wish that you could elect to have a shared conversation between both parents and teacher, as opposed to now where I only see the teacher’s responses to my wife’s comments.
Amazing app for group communication! 5/5
By Kaiser sew ze
It’s all here! Everything you need. Communication and translation with groups!
No push notifications 2/5
When I get a new message from a teacher I get no push notifications on my phone. I checked with product support and they said it should work, but it doesn’t. I’ve checked the settings on my phone and notifications are enabled for this app.
Without push notifications I have to manually check the app daily for new messages and risk missing important messages.
Every other app on my phone is working fine with regards to notifications.
Please investigate this further and there is clearly a problem. Happy to provide additional diagnostics if required.

Needs Improvement 3/5
The idea is good, but every time I receive a message from one of my child’s teachers I have to re-verify my identity. I should not have to repeat this process each time I use the app from my iPhone. Very frustrating.
Avoid this app 1/5
Requires my phone number (which I don’t want to give out) and doesn’t accept my legitimate email address. So the app is unusable from the first screen.
Daily setup 1/5
By CG Leader
I really love this app, but I have had to re-setup my account and phone number every morning this week. Am I the only one?
Unreliable and hard to follow 2/5
I downloaded the app because I do not have a text plan and did not want to pay for individual texts. Once you download the app, messages are supposed to go to the app instead of text message. That part works. When you first download and set up the app, you have to receive a text with an authentication code and submit the code to continue. The problem is that after I authenticated my account and used it for almost a week, it restarted and required an authentication code again. This has happened at least once a week in the four weeks we’ve used it. I’ll use it several days then all of a sudden I click the app and it makes me start over. Huge waste of time.
Also, it alerts you when there’s new messages but it’s hard to tell which messages are new if the teacher sends multiples. It would be helpful if unread messages were highlighted. One thing that is helpful is you can tell when the teacher reads your comment. The status changes from “sent” to “read”. Overall, I think the app is good in theory and I might actually like it if it didn’t make me enter a new authentication code each week. Last year we used Remind and I never had a problem with their app. Talking Points needs to step up their game and take notes from Remind.
Constantly logs me out 1/5
I like the idea of this app, but I get logged out all the time and have to go through the sign up process all over again. Huge pain. Not a fan.
We’ll see how it goes 3/5
I had all kinds of trouble getting the app in the first place. Supposed to be FREE, but it wanted my credit card to have money in it, which is odd since all other FREE apps load fine. If it’s a ZERO charge, it should have been fine. Never had this problem before. Anyway, it worked after I put money my account, even though it was supposed to be FREE and it wasn’t charging me anything. Then it kept saying my son’s teacher account was invalid. WTH?
Pain in the butt. Not sure why teachers chose this app with all the negative reviews, but we shall see.
Keep having to enroll and logon 1/5
Every few days the app will forget who I am and ask me to enter my phone and email again. Then I also lose all the previous messages with the info that my child’s teachers have sent me. This is pretty frustrating especially now when we have to rely on this app for communication on remote learning.
Me encanta 5/5
Es una excelente aplicación
The app has to be checked daily 2/5
The notifications show up randomly.
It has bugs 3/5

This is good until it kicks you out. And you have to sign in again.
App won’t open 1/5
I have deleted and re downloaded the app several times and can’t get the app to open!

I hate this no private info 1/5
Ok so they can take your text your social media accounts ID face and they can send all the stuff to their families and the Quality is bad
It’s very slow 1/5
This app is really slow
A little frustrating lately 3/5
This year, it seems like every few days the app resets itself and I need to re-request the verification code and sign in all over again. The verification code takes a few hours to come through as well.
This app doesn’t work! 1/5
I have been dropped from this app repeatedly and there is no way to get reconnected without someone at my child’s school re-adding me each time. For example if the app loses my data on a Friday there’s no way for me to get back in until the next week and then I may miss information sent out over the weekend. Ask me how I know. Whatever is causing this anomaly makes this app useless.
Always OTP 2/5
By Shazeb Shamsi
Every time I receive a new message, the app asks to do one time password
Keeps kicking me off. 2/5
I’ve only had the app 2 weeks, and I’ve been kicked off twice asking me to sign in like a new user each time. Then I can only see the most recent teacher announcement and am not able to go back and see previous things the teacher has said. I also receive no texts or emails while I’m “kicked off”. So I can easily miss things the teacher is telling parents. Very frustrating.
Words cannot express how pitiful this app is!!! If I was an educator, I would trust my cat to deliver messages back and forth over this app. USELESS and PITIFUL!!

App won’t open 1/5
It won’t even load up... restarted it twice already. Not Working
Doesn’t send code. 1/5
Been waiting on a code for half a day to verify my information and it doesn’t send 6 digit code.
That one thing... 2/5
I have to re sign up almost every time I open the app which is annoying
Nhận xét 5/5
It’s cool just taking forever to send an message
Keeps kicking me out 1/5
For some reason the app keeps kicking me out. Every time I click it I makes me re-register. When it kicks me out it send my messages to text in multiple texts out of order of the conversation.
What is the point of this app? Can’t we just use email or text messages? 1/5
Why not use email?
Multiple log ins 1/5
I have had to start over 3 times already this week. Why do I keep getting logged out just to get a code resent again.
Very buggy today, notifications don’t appear in app 3/5
TalkingPoints was working well last school year, but today and yesterday, with the start of the new school year, I’m experiencing serious problems. In my first attempt to login yesterday, the interface was devoid of text - showed button shapes but no instructions/words. No updated version, per App Store. Problem resolved after I rebooted phone, tried again.
Today, text appearing on both login intro screens and in text bubble as I attempted to message my son’s teacher, was garbled, missing many letters. Once I hit send, what I wrote then appeared complete and legible.
Icon shows 42 notifications, but within app, all that appears are two unread messages.
What’s going on, folks??
Signing in 2/5
This app would be better if it didn’t: alert me that I had a message and then make me “sign up or sign in”!like it’s the first time I’m using it each time I’m merely trying to view a message.
TOO LONG 1/5
By Wolf WRLD
I like this app so much but when it comes to photos it’s something you don’t want to use with, if you are trying to give someone more than one photo you have to keep going back because you can only select one photo at a time to sent.
Love the app 5/5
Love how easy it is to communicate with my child teacher
Great experience 5/5
Like the app. It works on all platforms
Comment by A grandfather 5/5
This is a great innovation that will prove to be a valuable communication device for both parents, students, and technological disadvantaged grandparents.
App is slow and asks me to verify my phone number and pin every time I open it...FRUSTRATING!
Best app 5/5
Really easy to use and comunicate
Logging in issues 3/5

About half of the time I am getting kicked off and having to re login back in.
Other than that is it good communication for patents to teachers.
