Excellent processor 5/5
I spent way too many years dealing with other processors, their overly expensive equipment and their ridiculous chargebacks.
Over 2 years I have used the paypal systems and it has been way above average. It works. No bag of wind stories here. It just works.
I only wish we could somehow cease the spoof emails that we get from internet criminals trying to get to our funds. Paypal seems to have them covered. It’s been a joy.

It is ridiculous how pay pal is into processing people’s financial and not have enough associates available to help their customers,and hold up customers money for extended period of times without follow ups at their benefits!I wouldn’t refer anyone to use them for any business dependable translations!!!They can do better than working with automated systems 24/7

The app is easy to use, transferring money is simple and fast. I just wish they had a better card reader. It has to reconnect every time, it can also take forever to connect, the lights to show that it’s on or working are so small it’s hard to see in the light outside. I do a lot of farmers markets.

I used PayPal to sell stuff out of my house and storage on eBay that I no longer needed. Better than having a garage sale.
Now PayPal wants me to get a tax ID and form a corporation, why? They offer no explanation or option. I’m not making a profit, I’m recouping 10 to 25% on a dollar of what I paid. I don’t need a tax I’d and Corp. name to have a garage sale. I have money coming in and I have to change my email acct.. They say nothing about diverting the money. Even if I elect a personal account I have to get a Corp. name and tax ID. I guess I won’t be using PayPal anymore. I suggest you look elsewhere!!!

I’ve had problems with this app over and over again with not getting my money on time and with my latest transaction PayPal has kept $1500 after I painted some rooms for a customer. My customer used a credit card and the balance came out of their account and went into limbo somewhere and I never got it. Well the rest of the nation has re-opened they are still closed and I can’t get in touch with them. I’ve got a family to feed and they don’t seem to care.

We’ve been using this AP for 3 years and it was easy to set up, works perfectly so long as the card reader is charged and you have a strong mobile connection. Even if you don’t though it still works pretty good, maybe not as fast but not slow by any means. We also love the size of the card reader and the ease of it being connected directly to our PayPal account.
I have been using this app for about a year now and I absolutely love it it helps me to keep track of all of my sales the fees and gives me a report that I could use when filing my business taxes. I highly recommend it. The readers are also great I’ve never had any issues using them

Quick and convenient payment processing. Love it!
Started using this app, the reader was ok then it stopped working. Declined my client’s credit cards. Had to inconvenience them to get cash instead. Then it won’t release my money! Called customer service but, shocker! Nobody is available to talk to!! Emailed them as that’s my only option and they want ME to provide ID and an explanation of what I was using it for. SERIOUSLY?! Never again will I use this service.

So I had downloaded PayPal for personal use. And it would never connect my bank, it only sent one deposit and withdrawal instead of 2 so I couldn’t confirm. Tried to talk to an agent via message, and they didn’t get back to me within the day, so the next day I went to the same chat and whoever the agent was closed the chat without answering my question. And I couldn’t get ahold of anyone after that. Got rid of that app. And decided to get this one for my vary small business, and on this app it won’t upload my picture ID. Also when I go to help or the resolution center can’t find any answers, and it either freezes or doesn’t show anything. And I also couldn’t connect my bank with this app either, every time I put in the correct information and go to connect, it says “sorry we can’t process this information there’s an error try again later” so, I can’t do anything with these apps. I’m done trying, switching to something else.

Had some trouble with a credit I should have received on a return after using the PayPal debit/credit card.... never showed up on my account... store had to issue a store card to use later: not good! ..... And $ from a dispute resolved in my favor on a customer complaint has not shown back up in my account either; tho I got an email the $ was returned to me—- these are serious enuf problems to consider a different credit processor. Lost my money in both situations.

I got this app for my business a few weeks ago, but have never gotten it to work. I need to connect the reader to an iPhone SE.
I get an alert saying to update the software before I can use the reader, but the software update always fails. Support has been unresponsive so far.

Just updated app to newest version.
Every time I perform a transaction it immediately takes me to invoice and does not allow me to do anything more than create an invoice. This is very problematic any thoughts to why it would only allow me to take invoices no matter if I hit enter card enter check enter cash it immediately sends me to invoices
They hold on to the money and don’t let you have it . I will not be using it for my barber business . And they have no customer service SamuelTheBarber . Weeks later still holding my bill money

The holds paypal puts on customer money is almost 3 weeks or longer. We submitted all the required documents. Paypal didn't release the funds into our account. In the fine print it says they can hold the money if they think it's suspicious or if they think your selling something for to high of price. If paypal thinks you sneeze wrong they can hold the money. Its not a joke or a rant it's just the truth. Read the fine print and the list of reasons is so long after the first 3 or 4 you realize this is not where I want my business account through. I went through a traditional brick and mortar bank strictly because of this.

I’ve been using pay-pal for for several years now. I use the swipe reader on an I-Phone 6 s. I started originally with an I-5. There have been some bumps along the way such as connectivity issues and a card reader that failed. I do business in remote areas with little to no cell service sometimes. The connection problems resulted from poor cell signal or too many folks using the same tower at the same time. Manual entry almost always did the trick. On few occasions I had to take the customer info an manually enter the payment once I got back to the office.
On the card reader, I learned from Pay Pal technical that there is a battery inside the swipe devise that just plan wears out. They sent me a new one and I was up and running again with no issues. Funds on transactions seem to always be available immediately or within the next day.
My only issue is holding my money. I have clients out of town who own rentals and they are unable to swipe the card. I applied for more money released was told no. I’m a reputable business owner and deserve to have my money when I earn it. I have been using Venmo or cash apps rather than PayPal they should change policy’s.

Well, that might be overly dramatic but it’s come in extremely handy in some unique circumstances. The Bluetooth feature can be testy at times but overall I’ve had no negative issues. The money posts right away and the receipt choices are well thought out.
4stars because there is no wired option, which you’d think would be a no-brainer.

I have tried for two weeks to Pay for something with a Pay Pal Account and Vendor will only take pay pal. You have all of my information my card number and code. You have a message that something went wrong with my information. The last message was someone tried to use my Debit card with an IPAD in the Netherlands. I do not own an IPAD. I think I now need an ATTORNEY OR THE POLICE. You have no one listed to discuss this problem with. This is RIDICULOUS!!!!

I have called 3 times for the same issue. I am no longer able to key in credit cards. Product support does not follow up an my issue is not resolved. I have had good service for several years. Now I can’t use pay pal and it is time to change companies. This nick name request is another negative. I just want to have this problem fixed and not just make another problem! There’s a feature in the app when you run a charge where you can invoice it, enter the person’s email and it will send the invoice. Now it looks like it’s sending the invoice but the transaction doesn’t clear the screen after sending the invoice like it would in past, and in the sales activity it says it sent the invoice but it’s not. Also the invoice doesn’t appear on paypal online. This feature used to work!!! Please fix it!!!

Would be five stars but for some odd reason they hold many of the payments you receive for about a month! I have had this account for 5 years so can’t be for new customers only. Not only do they charge you a fee but they also get to use your money interest free for an entire month. Banking scheme if I ever heard of one.

I have been using app for two years and have found the card reader easy to sync with my iPhone and use . Chip reader and swipe capable. No issues and recommend this app and hardware without reservation.
It’s great for taking payments if you want to wait for your money. As soon as you make a decent sale PayPal lays claim on your money and won’t release it even though they tell you everything is square and clear. What kind of malarkey is that. The system works great but PayPal needs to learn how to be honest and efficient in giving rightful owners the money that belongs to them and stop this foolishness of claiming they released money but refuse to allow the rightful owners to access and use it.

I’ve had the same device for a few years. It always works and it’s fast. I use the service in an extraordinarily busy environment with other merchants everywhere processing credit cards. PayPal has my money ready to transfer to another account or spend immediately.

PayPal’s app for taking credit card payments is easy to use, reliable, and when it comes to looking up sales for past customers it is Far More User-Friendly than Square. So glad I switched! Money transfers to my bank usually take only 1 business day so there’s very little lag in getting my cash flowing. (Plus they offer an Instant Transfer that I’ve never needed to use). Very happy using this.

Pay pal is holding over 14,000 of our companies money for three weeks we were never told this when we signed up . This is causing and incredible hardship on our business. I’d highly recommend finding alternative ways to be paid .
