Service has become horrible I was charged a fee from a buyer that I never had any dealings with.
Of course the transaction was found in the buyers favor.
I tried to link my account I have used since 2016-2017 so I can pay this fee.
Which it now refuses to accept which means interest will definitely accrue.
Quite similar to the same situation a year or so ago which was for a lot more.
After like 9 months, Synchrony cleared your mess up.

I’ve had a lot of orders paid for by PayPal but never received them and I find it very hard to contact PayPal to fix this problem !

I love PayPal. Works great for my android phone but for some reason The 1st transaction I do on my iPhone 11 each time I’ve tried using it instead of my personal phone n the app won’t complete even recording a cash payment. It’ll say I’m no longer connected even though I logged in n connected a chip/swipe card reader. This time I was editing a setting. Please tell me how to stop this from happening, or fix the bug. Really want to use this business phone for accepting payments.

Since the update a month ago, every time I swipe a card it says declined! The money comes through but everyone has a mini panic attack when DECLINED pops up! Please fix it!!

I have been using PayPal and the PayPal system for about 10 years. PayPal Here has generally worked pretty well for me. I no longer use the original card reader because my iPhone doesn’t have a jack but I just input the number manually and it’s fine. (I haven’t yet upgraded to the chip reader.) It also allows me to take payment over the phone. I’ve had no major problems with the app. I rely on PayPal as an important tool to process revenue.

PayPal needs to dugout how to extend the time the card reader stays bluetoothed. We have to keep setting it up. It should only disconnect when I say so or it’s out of range.

Just installed app not opening
I have been using PayPal nearly 4 years and I am very pleased with the service. Even obtaining a business loan for my business was easy. I will recommend PayPal to anyone in business.
Bad time to ask I have $1745 in my account I can’t transfer because of some updating, soooo frustrating after providing all the documents you can’t just hold up my money , I am furious

I’ve been using PayPal for at least 5 years. Recently, it rejected my banking account information and I can’t get any support from customer service. They tell me to just add a different account. There’s nothing wrong with the account I’ve had for almost 10 years, why won’t it work?

GREAT...Except for one small, but major flaw 1/5
I decided to switch my business over to Paypal this week, after deciding that Sqaure just wasnt doing it for me.
1) 2.70% v.s. 2.75%, as a small business, every bit helps!
2) I can now take Venmo AND Paypal, along with all forms of NFC -- two more options then I previously had with Square -- good, good!
3) I have to take everyone who pays with a chip card, signature......
Lets talk about that one.
According to the app, I can turn off signatures under 50$. This is reasonable, I think, and mirrors Squares policy. However, what you are not told is that the no signature under 50$ only applies to: Venmo, Paypal, NFC (Apple / Google) and... magnetic swipe.
This turns out to be a small problem because you cannot swipe a magnetic card if you have a chip on it. In an apparent contactless world, I would like Paypal to imagine having to spray and sanitize my iPad after every customer who pays with a credit card, because every customer who pays for a 5$ or 10$ item has to sign for the transaction.
This turns what is easily a 5 star app, and a true competitor to Square into a 1 star app that is still sitting in the pit, while Square is running laps.
I like the app and the service but having every customer in line having to sign for their transaction is at least 7 years behind the service I have been enjoying with Square.

Please fix the signature line customers always accidentally clear their signatures. The older way was better.

I’ve used the app for years, with and without a card reader, but lately, it has stopped reporting any activity on my phone. On my computer it is complete, but the phone only shows a correct balance. Attempted contact with “customer-we’re-too-busy” team yielded several non response ...followed by “they say you have a very old version of the app. ...”
No further info.
I’ve searched for updates, I’ve deleted and reloaded ... all to no avail, and no further info from PayPal.
The app still accepts payments ...
and is functional on my desktop...
but the point was “mobile”
Too bad about the tech team and the the “we’re too busy for customers” team ...

After nearly a year of the above description, seems some recent update fixed the problem ‘they never had’ sales activity shows up, now.
I’ve been trying log in for 4-5 days and I even tried to create a new account but all I keep getting is looks like you already have an acoount but I can’t retrieve that account. PayPal doesn’t realize things change throughout life! This is so irritating!!!
Crappy interface for something PayPal puts out. Our first several transactions actually never were captured but it didn’t give any warning that it wasn’t connected to the WiFi.
I just download it and can’t even use it because it won’t load past the loading screen

The latest updates are terrible and create inefficiency through multiple added clicks for cash payments. Why in the world would you move cash to other payment options?! Do you conduct end user feedback sessions on prototypes before going to production??! At least add settings that will allow the removal of the options not used by the end user or the ability to sort them on what order to them in on the UI! And stop presenting the signature screen when signature and tips are turned OFF.
Now I dont have to lose a sale because so many people are cashlees these days.

Until recently, dependable. Then a mixed up transaction and no response to an inquiry 4 days ago followed by an inquiry 2 days ago re: where funds were sent. Very frustrating and I will not use them again until/unless I receive some information regarding the transaction.

I am very disappointed with PayPal’s new policy. They are not refunding the processing fee and it is killing small business. I was surprised PayPal wanted me to screw my customers by passing on this fee to them. Luckily there are many other credit card processors around and we don’t need to take this kind of crooked business. I know for a fact there is no way a company like Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s who takes PayPal returns would not pay this fee - so I wonder what special policy these big businesses are privileged enough to have but we mean nothing. It is a shame !! I hope other businesses catch on and boycott as well.

I’ve used this app for a while, but now it is crashing before I can even login. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times to no avail.
Lame support, unexpected holds that cannot be resolved 1/5
The day after I started using this app it put a limitation on my account that requires numerous invasive documents, won’t slow me to use the app, and will not release the funds I ran through the app. I tried to resolve it through their supposedly comprehensive message system, but got a message back that I had to call. Every time I call they tell me there is a 3-4 hour wait time. Meanwhile they are holding the $450 I earned at a craft fair. Awesome to be unemployed in a pandemic with this horrible company.

This is a great device with stable software. It comes in very handy for making money out in the middle of nowhere, and
Paypal charges about the same as any other credit card processor, but without the unpleasant ups and extras.
