Ridiculous app. Never works 1/5
I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app several times, clearing out my shopping cart each time.
Then it blanks out and I get
“Redelivery Mode. Regular Delivery Mode” and I can’t go anywhere from there.
Delete app, reinstall. After reinstalling, it’s completely blank. I give up.
My local supermarket has delivery options, I’ll stick to them.

The days that are sold out for delivery or pickup should be disabled/greyed-out. Most days are sold out most of the time, so only the days that have available time should be tapable.

I have a bad immune system and because of this virus I cannot leave my house please kind of services are supposed to help so far I haven’t been able to get a delivery or a pick up by the time pick up time comes up the order is unavailable.

Recommend the Dutch company to reinvest into a UX FOCUSED mobile app company. The mobile app graphics are nice but without user flow and features as functions not working, I think the QA WAS RUSHED so they could push out their campaign. www.lifeboat.dev

Did not get ideas charged for 1/5
I made my first order, Received the charge on my credit card. And waiting 2 days for pick up day/time. When I went to pick up order, I received only 2 of 8 items. Others were marked as out of stock. Why didn’t that show up prior to me leaving my house. Why did the charge show as paid on card. I can understand, with current situation, things being out of stock, but when I ordered they were in store and are not perishable items. I would think items would be pulled when in-stock and paid for.

While the app may not rate 5 Stars, the service certainly does. In this time of crisis I placed an order. Yes, I had to wait a full week, but 90% of my order was delivered and right on schedule! I have absolutely no complaints.

Have been getting Peapod for years now everyone has discovered them and I can’t get order there are no time slots. Sad that a person with a compromised immune system can’t order her groceries. Hopefully when all this subsides things will go back to normal

Total waste of time. I ordered my groceries a week in advance and reserved a time slot. They cancelled my order the night before delivery was to take place due to “overwhelming demand.”
Terrible customer service 1/5
Put in a $180 order on a Friday for pick up on the Sunday after it, the order was canceled from their end on pick up day approximately one hour before the scheduled pick up time and it’s been one week without reimbursement. Their customer service phone number is no help. There are so many people having this problem that when you call their customer service you get hung up on after their automated message is done telling you there’s a long wait time. Not sure how to get refunded.

I spent almost 2 hours putting together an order today. Only to find out when I got to “reserve a delivery time” that there were no available times for two weeks. My son and I are under mandatory quarantine because we were exposed to Covid19. We can’t shop for ourselves until after 3/25 by order of the Ocean County health dept. I realize we are all in this together but just a suggestion have shoppers check delivery availability before they spent time online shopping!

Page load problems galore. Slow as molasses. Upgrade to the latest Apple iOS version and it just gets worse as the phone’s OS overhead just takes up more of the phone resources. Peapod app is impervious to closing all your other apps to free up resources. It won’t help. I use the delivery service all the time. How I wish I spent my entire day behind my desktop PC so that I could interface with sales and delivery via web without the app. Anything that happens, forget the app to make it better. In the last few months, they’ve had a grocery chain strike and a server crash for example. Servers stayed crashed more than 24 hours. App messages during strike included no use you can use, no explanations re hoe to plan ahead. Deliv svc is good, some phone support people are good. App information generally is strong, but app layout has weaknesses. Grocery item Prices may be highlighted as On Sale but you have to step through multiple pages to see what the non-sale price is for comparison. Too many strange gyrations to nav from one data you need to another you need at the same time. Cart closes every time you nav away from it with a back arrow icon. Time waster. Did not used to close during days of older app version. Close cart intentionally and maybe nav back to where you were on your shopping list, but maybe app navs you to shopping list item one. Must race through anything you want to see on another pagr before the invisible hidden timer erases the pointer to where you were on your list so you can begin page loading again. Launching app launches an on screen reminder you have an order pending, which you may amend. If attempting to create a large order of 50 or 60 items, pencil in 3 to 6 occasions during which you’ll be scanning a page for something like ingredients or recipes and the screen fails so that it can re-display the order reminder you already “ok”’d once and puts you back on home page, closing item page, closing shopping list. No link item by item to leave note, reminder, request or alert for peapod inventory people. When the service is faulty, such as the local deli guy slicing the meats for dlv keeps forgetting to seal the deli bag, you can’t leave a reminder that would show up in his picking ticket. Phone support people can take complaints in such cases — that lead to satisfactory resolution 0 % of the time. The app should play a role. It doesn’t.
App crashes often 2/5
It’s super convenient to have an app to order groceries from but I wish I was able to use it more often. This app crashes constantly and as an example, for the last 24-48 hours I’ve been attempting to access the app and I keep getting the same “maintenance” message which means the app is down. I’m not sure what kinds of updates can be done here to improve the traffic this app gets so it doesn’t have to be down so often, but these issues are what forces me to look at other grocery retailers. Definitely needs improvement—but when the few times it actually works, it’s great!

I like Pea Pod pick up at the store. My only complaint is I know the store has items that are not on the App. This cause me to have to actually go in the store. I wish you would correct this.

Overall the app is good and the drivers are very nice. I would not recommend getting anything that is considered fresh. We have gotten rotten produce on a regular basis. When you call the phone number to get a refund for the rotten food the representatives are kinda rude and they don’t give us anything and try to argue with you because you didn’t notice it was rotten when it was delivered. I would recommend using another service if it is available.

I recently moved to an area where actually functioning services like InstaCart aren’t available. My neighbor recommended PeaPod to me. Today is a packed day and I thought that downloading it to have some last minute items for dinner delivered would be a great time save.. Turns out the application itself doesn’t work. I have downloaded it on two separate devices and it’s a permanent white screen. Instead of saving time, I’m leaving a frustrated review here. :/

So far I really appreciate this service. I was sick for a week and decided to try Giant Direct. The website was very easy to use and found everything I needed. Instead of delivery I did the pick up service. Well, it was so convenient and fast I will continue using this service. I saved so much money due to first time user promotion and my giant digital coupons I was able to download to my card. The p/u was easy and the rep came out and explained everything that was in my order and asked if I wanted the substitutions for the out of stock items. My produce and meats were exactly what I would have picked if I went into store. She even loaded up my car!! What a big help and pleasant experience!! Thank you Giant!! Can’t wait to do it again!

I have been waiting for my groceries since 4:30pm on March 3, 2020 (yesterday) and now almost 4 hours after my scheduled delivery window 4:30pm - 10pm) I am STILL waiting for my groceries but now am unable to check the status of my order. No one called me or emailed me to inform me about any kind of serious delays or cancelations and I have not been refunded my money. I rely on peapod for my groceries because I am a full time caretaker for my mom who is battling cancer. I don't have time to go out and shop for groceries and now there is absolutely no food in my house! I had just enough to get through the day yesterday and now I have no idea what I am going to do. I can’t just go out and buy food at the store because I have no one to look after my mom while I am gone and even if I did have someone who could do me that favor I can’t afford to spend another $200 on groceries!! I am not rich, my job is being a full time caretaker for my mom so I don’t get paid much and rely on my moms pension and social security checks for groceries and bills which in case you are not aware medical bills are insane for ER, ambulance, and for surgical procedures! People like me who are in this kind of situation DEPEND on services like peapod and expect their deliveries to be made on time! The fact that your drivers FAIL to even call the people they deliver to when there is a delay at all is unacceptable! I have a tight schedule full of Dr and chemo appointments for my mom that can NOT be rescheduled and very few days where we are actually at home so having ANY deliveries as important as this get delayed with absolutely no communication at all is not only unacceptable it is also unprofessional! I will keep waiting until 10am today (March 4, 2020) and if I still have no groceries I will be demanding a refund for every last penny I had to spend on my order and will NEVER use peapod again!!

I don’t know what they did to this app, but it used to work great. Now it either takes forever to load, won’t open, or glitches. I had like 6 things magically disappear from my cart so they weren’t ordered. But they were initially in my cart when I sent the order. Got the email with the order and they’re gone. It’s ridiculous.

When it works, it’s amazing but 85% of the time it glitches, empties my cart or times out and I have to fill it again. It’s also frustrating that not everything is offered grocery wise. I understand there are thousands of products but going into the store for one thing becomes a pain.
Love Peapod app lately it so much 3/5
I love Peapod, love the products, delivery, meats and fruit and veggies are really great. However, the app itself, especially today is horrid. It has been slow, then non existent, whole app blank. I deleted app then downloaded it again. Still having problems with it working. Very buggy. I guess I will have to order from Instacart then.

This is the slowest app I’ve ever used. If it loads and doesn’t suddenly stop working in the middle of my order. Then I gave to restart the app and go back in to continue shopping. Makes the whole expletive twice as long because it happens many times while shopping. They update the visuals of the app but never the performance. It’s terrible.

The main office and all customer transactions must be done through two men who may or may not answer the phone after 15 minutes. How can a grocery delivery in pa be successful with customer service in Chicago? I will never use this peapod again. Wegmans is cheaper and local! The delivery was rescheduled and not told to the delivery person, who was wonderful. I wasn’t home from work yet and because the men in Chicago did not email Pennsylvania, my delivery waited for me on my porch. No big deal for me, it was stressful for the delivery person. The discount is not taken from the first order as advertised, don’t email, it takes two days for a response! Nope to peapod. This is great in theory! I finally talked to “Doug” who kept telling me not to take this personal that they can not see what my total was until the peapod folks went shopping, I explained to Doug, customer service, this is personal... this is my money which makes this transition personal. The receipt is wiped off the website after placing your order. Have a great day and call an uber

As of today with the new downgraded update the greatest app has basically made shopping on Peapod a miserable experience and it’s freezing up, the buttons don’t work and I’m freaking out. I NEED Peapod , why did they ruin a good thing?

I’ve been using this app for quite some time. At first it seemed pretty good. I shop at our local Giant. I knew there were items I had previously purchased in the store that the app doesn’t “carry” but I made alternative choices. Kinda frustrating but, whatever. I adjusted. However lately, more often than not, I have purchased items on the app that will be there multiple weeks and them completely gone the next. Not just out of stock, but showing the message “we don’t seem to carry that item.” I really like the convenience of being able to pick up my groceries when I’m short on time, but I find it more and more frustrating when items are not available on the app when I know they are in the store. Also - my past purchases keep showing groceries that I’ve never purchased. Huh?!? Super annoying. So until they figure out how to make this app better, I will not be using it.

I have a fully updated iPad and I cannot use the app at all. It was at least letting me see the items until this last update. Then Everytime I wanted to see an item or aisle I got an orange box saying that couldn’t be done. Now as soon as I put in my zip code an select my town, and push “Start shopping” it spin and spins. Please update this app right or nobody will be purchasing.

I prefer the older version that gave us the option to add to our cart our most often purchase products. It remembered the number of items I mostly ordered and was so much better than all the so-called “improvements” so far...

Using my iPad 2 I was prompted for an update. Nothing happened. It turns out that when Peapod updated the software it no longer functions on older iPads. Not a smart business decision!
