I’ve been using this app for a few months now and it’s the best. It saves you a lot of money when you need to buy supplies for your animals.

Very disappointed in the Kahului Maui store, their service has decreased substantially over the Last few weeks, asking customers to hurry with their shopping and not willing to check if they have a product available.

I had to change the repeat delivery option through the website. Had to run to the store to get my furbaby food because the app didn’t save my changes. It’s my fault that I didn’t notice the grayed out save button but it’s strange that it doesn’t let you change things in the first place...
Grooming not showing my store 2/5
I used to be able to set up grooming appointments for my puppy but now the app, and even the website, won’t let me select my store to set up an appointment with her groomer. It’s giving me the options for other stores that are farther away. My puppy and we have bonded closely with her groomer and while yes, we can call it in or go in the store, we’d prefer this more convenient option we used to have.

The website says it’s been under construction for months I haven’t been able to edit my profile still and the app doesn’t open. It just shows a blue screen with a logo with nothing behind it. I have had this app for months and I still can’t get it to work. Kind of frustrating you can’t do anything on the digital interface.

The store in Coliseum Crossing is the best store ever one from the groomers especially, Cassie who takes time to tell you how the cut went and truly loves her clients and her dogs an amazing person. All the staff is always willing to help and treats our Scottie named Harper like she is human. Clean and I would recommend the store to everyone

The app Locked up and I couldn’t make my purchase had to start over! Can’t even submit my complaint because all the nicknames have been taken. Why do I need a nickname to rate the app!!!!

Not sure if this is an issue with my phone or the app in general. Every time I open the Petco app it gives me an error.
“Your session has expired. Please log back in under the account tab.”
I’ve tried deleting the app and re-downloading it, I’ve tried resetting the app, etc. Nothing has worked so far. When the app did work I loved it, it is much easier to use than the web page. Is there anything else I can do to try to get it to work?

You should just be able to add stuff to the cart from the search screen results. You shouldn’t have to click on each item and go to a new screen and back. Very cumbersome.
Also, my list of previous things I’ve ordered only comes up as vague pictures that again - you have to click on, you can’t just order.

I tried to order dog food online to pick up in store and the site was really messed up. After entering all the info 3 times and getting nowhere, I give up.

Could use a favorites list for each type of pet 3/5
I prefer to order and pick-up in store over having things delivered to my home. I hate having to search for things that I purchase regularly. It would be so much faster and more convenient to have the ability to favorite items and go back to that list to add items. Also, a wishlist. There have been times where I’ve seen and item on the app and want to save it to come back to it later and then forget about it or can’t remember exactly which one it was. Other then that the app could use a few improvements but is good overall.

I gave this a 3 star because of the access to rewards when you are at checkout. Why the rewards are not applicable automatically once you are using your rewards number.

The app looks nice and operates smoothly. Originally I had an issue logging into the app. I could log into the website no problem, but the app would always say incorrect username or password. The developer reached out to me asking if I could try manually entering my information rather than use the last pass auto fill. Well this worked. I deleted my last pass info and recreated it and now it works fine. Not sure why it worked only on the website before, but now it works on both.
This is great because the apps always feel smoother navigating from screen to screen rather than the websites on iPhone. I can keep track of reoccurring deliveries and easily modify or add to orders. It’s helpful.
I get Petco repeat deliveries for my dogs and my cats. I never have a problem doing what I need to on the website but, each time I try to use the app, I always end up on my laptop to actually do what I needed to. There is inevitably some glitch issue on the app. One time, the app shut down every time I tried to login. Then, after an update, I was able to login but the app shut down every time I tried to access my repeat deliveries. Now, I am trying to change the shipping date on a repeat delivery; and, although I can change the date, I cannot save the new date. I can’t say I ever used the app and been able to do what I need to. Save yourself some time and just use the website.
Down load the app, fill out info, sign up before you do anything! Other wise it’s a nightmare dealing with the site when try to place an order!

Only use this app if you like giving money away for nothing. It is seriously terrible. Use Chewy instead – they’re great.
I have a gift card and have been trying to place an order for the past three-to-four weeks, during which time Petco has taken the $50.00 balance of my gift card but failed to place the order – not just once but twice! I actually had to call multiple times to get them to give my money back so that I could actually use it! What’s more, the most recent time I called the customer service rep demanded proof that this happened and gave me a hard time when I told her that my only proof is that the gift card balance is $0 yet I received NO product in return. IT’S IN THEIR SYSTEM – they should at least have the decency to look it up themselves. Even worse, when I finally managed to place the order Petco would only allow me to use $30 of the $50 on my gift card for a $49.50 order – making me pay $19.50 out of pocket. I have never experienced a company that won’t let you use the entire balance of a gift card on an order. I don’t think I’m even going to bother using the other $20 of my gift card – it’s not worth the hassle.
What makes this even worse is that when my order finally arrived everything was just thrown in the box with no regard to where it landed or how it was packaged. I ordered two cases of wet food and the cans were just thrown in the box individually, many of which arrived dented. I had to pull them out and count them to make sure the correct number were sent. It’s clear that Petco could care less about their customers once they get their money. Like I said before – use Chewy instead. Chewy’s products arrive neatly packed and undamaged, and you can count on them to respect and care about their customers.
I also want to note that I reviewed this app a few months ago and gave it only one star (I tried using the app again because I still had a $50 gift card balance). The developers responded with complete BS, and I guess that meant they could delete my review. DO NOT trust the 4-ish stars seen above – they clearly delete all their bad reviews. A quick note to the developers, don’t bother responding unless you can guarantee that I can use the remainder of my gift card IN FULL without also having to pay extra money!

I love the Petco app. It’s totally convenient in always having a good supply of food and toys in the house. A quick on line order and my merchandise is usually here within two days, otherwise it was a 20 mile drive to my nearest Petco store. What a time and energy saver. I think the prices are very reasonable, certainly better than local pet stores in town. The Pet rewards are also a great saving addition. Lastly, the online site is quick and easy to navigate. I appreciate having the package tracking info and delivery notification option so that my delivery is not sitting on my front stairs for an extended period of time.

The new interface looks really nice, but it won’t let me book my grooming appointment online! I have always booked grooming appointments this way and now all of a sudden no matter what location I use it tells me “We are not booking online grooming appointments at this time.” Really frustrating!!

I spent 15 minutes putting items in my cart then it all got emptied when I logged in. Also, the user interface is very slow every time you change the quantity of an item.

They offer PayPal as a payment option but it’s almost impossible to get it to log in properly. Same goes with using wallet...why offer these options if they only work 10% of the time?

Making a purchase this morning to pick up in store took 2 plus hours. First web format in safari would not let me add payment option or pals rewards. So I tried the app, the app kept mapping the wrong store close to my location. I called customer service to clarify the correct store and she kept repeating the wrong store to me. At least when I called the local location they were nice and helpful. Had to disable location services in the app to get it to stop changing the store location, but then worked ok.

I answered a million questions to sign up for a dog training class and the last step that is suppose to allow you to pay- does nothing. It also does not default to your preferred store and I almost signed up for classes at wrong location. Turn off GPS. Come on Petco your better than this!

Happy to see this app continuing to evolve. I still think creating the pet family isn’t user friendly.
When I select the grooming service, the drop down menu prompts me to select my dog. One of my dog’s name appears twice and there’s no option to edit/delete. It doesn’t seem tied into the dog/cat family feature (although it seems that it should).
Ability to make an appointment for multiple pets in one session would be ideal rather than getting a message that states I have to call the local store to book an appointment for multiple pets.
Ability to select more grooming options like just nail trim and buffer. Currently the app requires the user to also get a bath. One can call the store (or just walk in) for a nail trim but that option as a stand alone service doesn’t exist in the app.
Also would like to see improved filter capabilities. User should be able to select a category and then filter further to see items in that category available at a user-defined store/location. As it works now, the user can select to filter by availability and choose “in store” and that seems to be an option of “generally being available in Petco stores” because I found that it would show it was not available at my local store even though I filtered to in store via the availability filter.
I wish I could see who was the groomer in my last appointment so I could request her again. Other than that, so far so good!

This app has been difficult for me. I can never book grooming and now it won’t even allow me to go into services at all. What am I doing wrong? I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it service tab not working. twice now it it’s still not working.
