Payment headache 2/5
Despite best efforts, even after working with support. The Yousician apps give a payment declined notice despite successful yearly transactions.
I love the app, BUT 4/5
I don’t understand how the ear training exercises are suppose to work. Even when I play along with the notes…and there is no discord… it never registers that I’ve played it correctly. It’s very frustrating to not know what you want with that section. There is no explanation anywhere for that. Can you help???
Push you too hard! 4/5
By pop sik ko
Well this has taught me a lot! But the fact that you learn something new and it gives you a extremely hard song right after, please can you make the songs easier the moment you learn something. And also, for level 6, IT GIVES ME LEVEL 7 SONGS THAT I HAVE TO PLAY!!! Just make the songs easier please.
It’s not free anymore 1/5
Don’t trust any good reviews from more than a year ago. They changed that app so instead of free accounts getting limited playing time, free accounts don’t get anything anymore. I’ve used this app on and off for years and this update is disappointing and shows how greedy they are. Real app cost is: $10 a month for 12 months. I think you get maybe 2 lessons now for free.
It is not the beast 1/5

Out of all the apps for piano, this is by far the best. There’s a wide range of songs and learning to play is easy!
Difficult to choose another song while 4/5
I know I cannot master some songs but I’d like to ba able to select another song playing the same keys or move on…
You should add more!

A Fantastic Way to Get Reacquainted with the Piano! 5/5
I took piano lessons as a kid and hated to practice. I had a tough time sight reading too. Even though the lessons made me musically competent I always chalked it up as something I tried and never got very far with. When I decided to take up the piano again as an adult I downloaded a bunch of piano apps and Yousician Piano was the definite winner! Why?
It easily hooked up on my iPad and digital keyboard(midi)! I get to play along with a top notch backing band with a singer in high quality stereo recordings! Many of the songs are popular and modern, not just classical music and boring songs in the public domain (although it is nice to have some of those). I can easily tell how I’m playing in the app and practice small sections of a song where I’m having trouble by slowing down the tempo and hearing how the notes are supposed to be played. From the first set of lessons I was hooked! I find the app very rewarding and love the continual discovery of new songs to play from their huge library!
As far as suggestions for the app: I’d love to eventually see the lyrics of the songs while playing with a function to mute the singer so I can learn to sing along with the songs I’m learning to play (like their Guitar app). I’m only on level 5 but I’m hoping the app will (or should) have the ability to train on dynamics and articulation and in later lessons to begin to transition to sheet music that has these standard markings so I can begin to learn songs from music books outside of the app.
Keep up the great work! I’m going to go practice now!
30$ for 1 month! Cheaper ones out there that are better.
Not opening 5/5

Don’t waste your time 1/5
By k sparhawk
This game is really bad. It doesn’t really explain how to play. It just tells you to play and it doesn’t really teach. You don’t get the game and waste your time on it. You should get other piano games that will actually teach you how to play don’t get this game. It is terrible.
Amazing, but 5/5
By pika 2020
Ok, don’t get me wrong I love the app but I do wish there were more exciting songs like megalovania, unravel, Gurenge, Akeboshi, and Zankyou Sanka because I would love to play those songs but I already have a membership on this app. Also I believe they should make a wait mode like flowkey. I love this app
It’s ok I guess 4/5
I remember installing this app on my iPad to use since Simply Piano cost money. I got the app to use because I have an electric piano. I am a pianist and I tried out this app to do a review on how good it is. There are a bit of issues for me. 1. Sometimes when I hit the key, it won’t count it and I’ll have to start over. 2. There is this weird little moving ball that has been irritating me! It gets distracting while I try to use the note C or any other note! I don’t know the purpose of it either. To me, it’s just there. It also will throw me off not knowing when to start or stop. Lastly, 3. The time limit!!! It bothers me when you only get TEN MINUTES per day to practice. When i was 8 I would practice 1 hour a day.. and also, u HAVE to pay money for more time. I’m a bit dissatisfied but I do recommend it for beginners. Overall, this isn’t the worst app ever but it could have some better fixes.
what’s the point if there’s no free version 1/5
By yousician hater
there is literally no point to this app as it is not accessible at all. Learning instruments should not come down to who can pay 90 dollars for instruction. why would you not at least make enough of it free so that learning is still possible. Deleting this app and looking for alternatives
Me no like 😡😡😡😡
Mice detection is BAD 2/5

It can’t even recognize the key when I press. So it keeps stoping when it think I hit the wrong key.

The best of the best 5/5
By hi the bedt app
The best it lets you practice and has good songs that are easy😁
Overall really great 5/5
Overall, I think this app is awesome and really good at teaching how to play piano and read sheet music. My only complaint or “warning” would be that at a certain point the songs are really difficult and will take several days of practice before you can pass them. I think this is a typical learning curve of piano, but it’s something that I could see being frustrated if someone is not prepared for it.
It has a hard time picking up notes sometimes. Which makes it really frustrating that you’re playing the song right but it tells you you’re not. I encounter this several times per day and i’m tempted to delete the app but I can’t because I already paid the subscription..
Very good! 5/5
It does not cost money, and it is efficient, fun and I can do stuff I couldn’t do with simply piano. Thank you!
It wants me to pay money 1/5
It wants me to pay for more lessons 119.99
I love this app 4/5
Hi, I am nine turning ten. This app is a good way to learn kind of quickly if you keep at it.l have found it very fun but, I think this app should tell you what color each finger is along with the note it’s self where now they only tell you where the note is and it’s name.I would of put it a 4 and 1/2 star review, but they don’t have that choice.that is the only flaw I see here.
Remembering my pianos 5/5

I’ve heard a lot of ads about this app and it said that it’s the greatest and easiest way to learn piano the fastest
It was my last hope. Until… 3/5
By Ive got no nickname
I wanted to play piano so bad. So I played with Simply Piano. Pricy subscription. I saw the reviews for this and they were good and said it was free. THEY WERE WRONG. It was my last hope to learn from here from those reviews. I tried learning, and the subscription came along just to learn to use two hands! So I deleted it. And at first I was so excited too! Until that.
Hate it 1/5
Bad app it doesn't really help you with learning and it's just bad after it has you pay and you skip lessons I'm dissatisfied .sorry 😒
It is a good app over all but when it say “play the C key with your right hand thumb” or something like that I press C, of course, then it says I was pressing a different key so I just let it slide and pressed play to go on and did the same thing for D and G so I have deleted the app and will be going back to learning off of YouTube videos 😒😡this app is a little bit of a let down I saw ads and got really excited because I have been searching for a app to learn piano with for forever and I thought this was it but since the whole mixing up key thing I just quit and will keep searching
Woke up to find my iPad could no longer use yousician 1/5
With no warning, yousician dropped iOS 12 support and blocked old app versions from even working. Thanks guys for the great user experience 🙄
Doesn't work 2/5
By kaylee bug🐞🐞
I have my hands in the right spot because I don’t know no electric keyboard and my dad has taught me my hand placements and stuff but it just doesn’t recognize the different sounds of the keys like all play middle C and it thinks I’m playing one of the Black Keys (im 9 i don’t know the notes) I have my hand placement spray it just thinks I play the different keys I don’t even know how to really explain it but it just doesn’t recognize the different sounds of the keys so I had to literally take my fingers and just press every note to be able to get past the start so if I play every single note i’ll finally hit the one it recognizes is Midle c honestly I learn more from YouTube tutorials than this app because it doesn’t recognize the right notes
(for Developers) please do something to improve some things so it recognizes the right notes thank you ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Three words 5/5
Fun, engaging, and brilliant!
Needs a way to skip levels for advanced players 2/5
I want to start by saying that I used yousician to learn the Ukulele and really appreciated it! I was new to the Ukulele and am a much more confident player now. However, I have been playing piano for several years and just wanted an app that would help me expand my skills. This is not the one. Does the free version no longer exist? I couldn’t do anything but play the first song. Also, I couldn’t find a way to skip levels, so I was stuck playing Twinkle Twinkle on one hand, when I can play level 3-4 performance pieces. I’ll keep yousician for ukulele but won’t be using it for piano.
We don’t have to pay 2/5
By pinky girl 0712
We don’t have to pay there are some kids who want to play a lot of songs they know but you but something that we have to pay so please take that off
A little stressful but also super helpful.
Great app 5/5
I am an adult re-learner of the piano. I have moved from basics to level 6 in about a year. There are some songs that I hate (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - way too slow) songs that have grown on me (Call for the Spring but I'm still not fond of the vocal) The Duck Walk is challenging and fun.
I made myself an Excel chart to track my "workout" progress. My goal is to develop reading fluency so this is helpful for charting my progress.
Fun until it wasn’t 1/5
By The twillins
It was fun, I learned stuff for free, then it makes me pay for lessons. I knew there was a catch. The only thing I could do for free was watch videos. Like seriously at least let me do some lessons. Don’t download this game it’s a waste of storage you can use on a good game.
Latest update forces upgrade of iOS on my old iPad 1/5
I did not pay money to be told halfway that I need to buy new iPad (it is quite old). Please show respect to your users.
It’s really good! 5/5
Ok so I have been looking for a app to learn piano and I found this, I downloaded and it quickly taught me, I had a lot of fun using it and it was completely free, I can play as much as I wanted with this app without paying, this app is amazing
I love this app and would have given it five stars but sadly after a little bit you have to pay money for the courses. It is really good though. I have made a lot of improvements that I haven’t made with other apps. Would highly suggest but, keep in mind after a little bit it does ask for money.
The ball is the bane of my existence. 2/5
I was going to subscribe. I wanted to subscribe, but that ball! That stupid little moving ball!!! I cannot stress this enough. I HATE that stupid moving ball. HATE IT! I have played piano for years. I play by ear and can really play anything, Beethoven, Chopin, literally any melody, you name it, but I can’t read notes so I got this app in hopes to learn. Two hours told me it was never going to work. Considering that I play by ear, I am obviously a sound learner and not a sight learner, so it is altogether too much for me to concentrate on moving sheet music, colors, notes, the piano your playing, the piano on the screen, and that stupid, confusing, little, moving ball. It doesn’t even do what it’s supposed to do because I can’t even tell when it’s time to play the note from it. Every time I’ve got the rhythm down (by ear, not by the ball), that ball throws me all the way off! If there were any option to get rid of that ball, or any of the other elements, I would have subscribed in a heartbeat, but I will not subject myself to the torture of concentrating on that many moving things. Please create an option to edit what you see on the screen. Please!
I don’t want this app. I can find everything on their site but a way to cancel it. 1/5
I want to get rid of this app. They have no “cancel” on their site. Please help me cancel. I don’t want this app. This is me being nice. Thank you for any assstance.
Glitchy during songs 4/5
Often the app with glitch during a song and not read the notes you play.
It works well and I am actually learning... 5/5
Exactly what the title says, nothing but your devices microphone and a silent room is needed. I tried out Yousician cause of the utterly garbage SimplyPiano Ads that made me wish my cells would undergo death.
What I think about this app 5/5
This app has been so helpful for me and I wanted to learn how to play piano so much. Now I’m so close
Great App Overall! 5/5
For the past couple years, I have been trying to learn piano with these YouTube videos. I could technically play music, but I couldn’t read sheet music because these YouTube videos taught me a different way. I’m so glad this app is free! (Unlike simply piano) I can still play some of the songs I love, but unfortunately you would have to pay for the premium to play pop songs like Adele and music like that. But that doesn’t prevent me from giving this app 5 stars. I recommend to anyone of any age!
THE BEST PIANO MUSIC APP EVER 5/5
I’m finally learning to play with this incredible piano music app. You will be a pro in no time.
Thank you 5/5
