Not free 1/5
I really hate when an app says it’s free and then when you open it you’re told you have to have a subscription. That’s not free. That’s subscription based. Apps need to be upfront about this, otherwise you run the risk of being brought up on false advertising claims, and App Store could be held responsible as well!!

It’s given me three different answers to the same picture
Love it 5/5
This app identifies every tree and history you need to know. I’m always trying to figure out info on tree I would like to plant. This app is great!
Cool App educational as well as accurate 5/5
I use this to keep my child interested in nature. He spends a lot his time in NYC and so anytime I get the opportunity we take pictures. It serves to fill a void or at least slight void of growing up in a metropolitan environment giving him an interest in how plants grow and come to be.
Growing Green Thumb 5/5
By Growing Green Thumb
This is by far the best app I have ever used for anything! I have successfully identified every plant in my yard and many that were unmarked at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I only wish there were apps like this for other unknown items in life!
I glanced at some of the negative reviews. I have not experienced any of the issues they wrote about. As far as issues with canceling their subscriptions, I wouldn’t know because the thought to cancel hasn’t crossed my mind. If you are reading my review, I highly recommend this app.
Thumb up 5/5
I love it!
Excellent App 5/5
By Three Ravens
We live in a rural area and have 49 acres of land covered up with all kinds of trees, vines, and plant life. This app has helped us identify what’s living around us. Awesome!
Accuracy needs improvement 2/5
About 50% accurate
Downloaded the app and tried it on four plants I have including one common house plant, a variety of Ficus and two orchids. It got the common house plant right and was way off on the other three.
Total scam 1/5
Zero stars. Don’t pretend to be a free app with in app purchases, if no part of your app is free.
So i was pretty sure it was gonna be fake, but I’ve been scanning the flowers a whole day! It always finds the exact same flower and shows the name, not the best information but you can google it anyways♥️
Total crap! 1/5
I took pictures like 20 times and it did not match it once. Don’t waste your time.
What’s wrong 3/5
I want this app to tell me what’s wrong with my plant like the example showed the hydrangea needed water. It isn’t showing why my line tree isn’t producing limes!
How to cancel? 1/5
How do I cancel this before 7 days?
In three minutes I knew the names of three plants that I haven’t been able to hunt down by blind searching.
So far this app has an average of 25% accuracy.
This is the app I’ve been waiting for!!! 5/5
Excellent app and has been correct every time. LOVE IT!!
Doesn’t work 1/5
By disapointing frustrating
Doesn’t work and doesn’t let me cancel
I downloaded the app thinking it was free because there was no price. I used it once and it was not able to identify the plant I took a picture of, even after five tries/pictures. I went to delete the app and discovered it was a subscription based app, which I’ve never encountered before. I wrote to them to cancel the subscription but I was still charged for a year. I had the app for a week. Anyway, I’m surprised Apple allows this sort of sneaky behavior that requires you to take the time to figure out how to opt out. You have to dig into iPhone settings and it’s not easy to find. It should be opt in. Stay away from this app.
Great Free Version 4/5
By da tonkatough
This app is great for taking photos of plants and providing the important information about them. All this is FREE too.
Didn’t give it five stars because it is deceptive when you first open the app. It says you need a free trial for 7 days and then it will bill you but this is not so. Simply deny the free trial to actually use the core app. It also promotes the in app purchases a lot but that is to be expected with any good free app. Happy Planting!

This is simple. What a nice way to compile horticultural information.
Incapable of even identifying a picture as a mushroom. 1/5
Mushrooms are taking over my tomato planter. This program couldn’t even identify the picture as a mushroom. Suggested it was a brittlehead and the program didn’t know anything about these. Nice idea but useless to me.
Not sure how to rate. I am not going to try because I am afraid that I will be charged. I do not like the way the free trial is automatically enabled. I disabled and deleted. I hope that I do not get charged.
This is just what I was looking for !! 🌿💚
Does not diagnose plant problems 1/5
By Surfs Alot
On Instagram, this app is advertised as one of the diagnoses problems with plants based on photos that you upload. I cannot find any function in this app that does such a thing. Plus, I cannot find how to cancel my account.
Not as advertised 1/5
You cannot take a picture and identify it later from the gallery. So you always have to have cell coverage.
Can not figure out how to cancel this
Almost Perfect 5/5
By Kelebek Bb
This app was recommended by a great reviewer. Thanks to this app, I’ve been able to learn so much about the plant life on my property and my community as a whole. Quick identification and care instructions. My only gripe is that the sound doesn’t work for the pronunciation feature.
Enjoyable app 5/5

Running round the garden finding out everything!!! LOL
This app is a no! 1/5
Took 4 pictures of the same plant. Each time it generated a different name for it.

I clicked the button by mistake, and it can't be canceled and refund sucessfully. So sad.
Why start charging 3/5
Not sure why you started to charge us on a yearly basis. I would have paid a one time fee and that should have been fine. Especially for non aficionados. To bad.
I got this app about a month ago and have checked out about 50 different plants. So far it only misidentified one. Pretty nice little pocket guide
App fail. Save your money. 1/5
By Jared McSharry
Continues to fail at recognizing the flower/plant. And I was charged $20 after asking them to terminate the subscription before the 7 days free trial was up.
This app is very helpful! Love It !!!
Couldn’t identify basic plants 2/5
This app could be really cool if it was accurate. I tried the one week free trial and tested it out on some basic plants in my yard and it didn’t identify any of them correctly...even a standard azalea bush!
I’m amazed! 5/5
This app is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve been given so many plants and haven’t know what they were or how to truly take care of them. It’s app is on point, I just take a picture and it tells me what it is and the history and how to take care of it, etc. I’m doing the 7 day free trial, but I’m super Bummed I have to pay for this after that.... so not sure about that. But so far I love it!
Not what I thought it was... 1/5
I am still in the 1st week trial and I don’t want to criticize the company... but it’s not quite what I thought it would be based on the ads. Now I can’t figure out how to cancel the program! I really don’t want to get charged either, but I can’t find anywhere that it says to discontinue the program. I wish it were more clear. (I figured it would be somewhere under the app settings or my profile and there isn’t anything there 🙁) I did write the company... hopefully they respond in
an appropriate time frame and I don’t get charged.
20 dollars a YEAR?! PlantSnap is free and better. 1/5
I was super excited about this app. My 6 year old son and I were looking forward to going through the yard and researching different plants. So, standing in my yard, I downloaded this and opened it- and you have to subscribe to pay 20 dollars- a year! For real? I get that the developers have to make money. But 20 dollars a year is absurd. Personally I wouldn’t even pay a one-time fee of $20 (plenty of high-quality apps cost 5-10 dollars) but I could still understand it....
But 20 bucks a year is just ridiculous. So I downloaded PlantSnap- it is FREE, it’s accurate and it’s incredibly easy to use. There’s no reason to pay 20 dollars a year when there are equally good apps for free.
Incorrect Labeling 1/5
The first three pictures I took were labeled incorrectly of cacti.
J J 5/5
Took pictures of flowers while on vacation and so loving this app to be able to identify these lovely plants.
Great App! 5/5
We gather herbs and plants in the woods and often it is so hard to differentiate the plants. This app makes things so easy. One quick snap and boom: identification, care information, anything you need to know. After the free week trial, I’m gladly going to pay the $19.99 for a year of easier identifications. Fantastic!!
Amazing app. 5/5
My wife loves flower but she only know the names of few and could not learn how to take care of them. With this app, she can boast with her friend that how knowledgeable she is and knows how to care for them properly.
Incredible tool 5/5
By Karl Wenner
I was completely blown away by the efficacy of this program and I love it. It has demonstrated 90 to 95% accuracy rate and it’s errors have just been between two very closely related plants It has made a ramble in the woods even more enjoyable and I have used it on my farm with tremendous benefit in terms of identifying weeds. As far as I am concerned this app has magical properties
Doesn’t work 1/5
I’ve had 100% success with this app! 5/5
I love this app. I have a lot of plants and trees around my house, and so far I’ve been able to identify them all!
