Very good - hoping for even better 4/5
By The CheezWhiz
Generally I'm quite happy with this mobile app and what it does, it does well. Here's my wish list for improvements.
Please develop a web-based version so ALL my mobile devices can access the same info and schedules without the current device logging out the previous one. Another advantage to web-based is it would be SO much easier to enter drug names, Rx numbers and doctor info with a "real" keyboard. (Think grocery app ie: OurGroceries.)
There needs to be a logging method for "as needed" pills that are not REQUIRED on a regular schedule. For example, I can take a pain med every 3 hours. I can enter the drug in the list but there's no way to note when I've taken one. That also means there's no way to know when I could NEXT take one. Being able to log "as needed" would also update the pill counts and would properly generate re-order reminders.
For the record, this is the best app I've found for pill reminders. Keep up the improvements and I'll gladly give it a 5th star.
Not sure why android phones can set a different time to take meds m-f and weekends. iOS will only allow for meds time to be set Monday-Sunday! Would be nice to sleep in on a Saturday morning without an alarm waking me up.
Almost perfect except.... 4/5
I like this app a lot and would give it 5 stars if the following items were fixed.
1 - When I start the app I want to start on my profile NOT the guest profile. No option to change it.
2 - After you record a Medicine taken on the bottom of the screen a black box pops up and tells you that you have taken the medicine. Issue with this is it blocks the next set of medicines I want to enter for a few seconds. I tend to forget to enter them throughout the day so at night I’ll enter them all at once. I take medicine three times a day and I have auto list set up for them. Now this is a very minor annoyance and can be worked around if I enter the bottom list first and make my way to the top. I don’t need to be told with a pop up message that I took the medicine when I can clearly see the icons change to the medicine taken an icon.
The best app I used so far 5/5
The updates feature is very informative. And the reports are very good.
It cannot start 1/5
I use iOS 11.3. Every time I open it it collapsed.
April 21, I update it to the latest 5.9 version but the problem persist!
This app does what I need it to do 5/5
I like this app. I’m using the free version on a basic level just to remind me to take my meds. Before I installed this I was missing a lot of scheduled doses but with the reminders, (very easy to set up btw) I been staying around 90% in doses on time.
I would definitely recommend this app!
Awesome! Developers listen and respond wonderfully 5/5
I was using another pill tracker named Round. It had a simple efficient interface and a very capable alert system. I liked the simplicity of it and it did a phenomenal job of alerting me when to take my meds but the scheduling just wasn't robust enough. I have a medication that I must take every three weeks and I was unable to schedule it. I needed an alternative for that one medicine and found Medisafe. Medisafe was awesome in the beginning. I was finally able to schedule my meds any way I needed to. Also, instead of merely showing whether or not you took a pill, it actually shows a photo of the pill in the tracker so you know whether or not you took the correct pill. It also has information about the pills such as side effects and interactions. My only complaint initially was the alerting system but the developers have since fixed that and it alerts me sometimes to the point of annoyance but it’s exactly what I need at times when I’m really busy. It prevents me from dismissing an alert and forgetting about it altogether. I’d rather be annoyed than miss an important medication. However, it does have a cool snooze feature if unable to take the medication for up to 2 hours.

I love this app!!!! I have not missed my meds and now i’m 6 months seizure free. The one problem I have with this app is that it doesn’t notify your MediFriend when you take your meds. When you don’t take your meds within your set time frame, your MediFriend is sent a notification that says you didn’t take it. However, it doesn’t pop up on my MediFriends screen that i took it. Please make it do this!!!!!!
Apple Watch app has some bugs 3/5
By Curb Alert
I want to like this app. The iPhone app itself is fine but the communication and syncing between the iOS app and the Apple Watch app makes it difficult to rely on.
I will mark the medication as 'taken' on my Watch but if won't show as 'taken' in the iOS app. I end up having to go into the iOS app to mark the medication.
I may just go back to doing it the old-fashioned way and using my brain...
Great App... ...HUGE RIPOFF!!! 1/5
This app might be good, but it’s not worth the money. $4.99 a month, or $39.99 a year, is a huge ripoff.
The developer should be ashamed of the giant ripoff they created. It might be worth a onetime fee of a $1.99 - $4.99 at a maximum, but that’s it.
SHAME ON THEM, AND THE MORONS WHO BOUGHT THIS SPP!
Very Helpful. 5/5
I love this pill reminder app because it keeps track, not only of when you need to take your meds but also the exact does and lets you know when it is time to refill. I also love that you can customize the app pulses to look like your real ones and more.
Good despite missing features 4/5
This app works well for me but not for my wife. It needs a few key features to earn 5 stars:
1) no iPad version, it works as a 2x version of phone app, portrait mode only.
2) lacks multi device support, “med friend” feature isn’t adequate substitute.
3) can’t set reminders at intervals, only specific times.
4) no warning if you exceed max daily dose
Great app !!! 5/5
Totally recommended Today’s Meds is awesome in Watch
Always with me 5/5
The “pesky” alarm will not stop until you tell it you took your meds. When you are asked what meds you are on, you have your list and dosage. I had a transplant and there are times I dismissed my IPhone alarm only to take my meds late. With this app, I have to make an effort to make it stop. Great!!! Plus the tracking of weight, blood pressure etc. makes my whole regime easy and fun.
The Best 5/5
This is the best and most reliable of all the apps that I have. It never fails me and can be counted on to function as set up every time, every day. Thanks. BT
Love it! 5/5

This is a very good and intuitive app. It takes a little bit of time to get meds entered into it and get things setup but it’s totally necessary in order to properly serve the user.
If you’re like me and have way too many pills with too many different times to keep track in your head, this app is what you need.
Almost but not quite 3/5
The app states why am I not giving the Rx to my cat, yet I am. I missed only once but gave it when noticed. I go into the app to read that I keep missing doses, not true. It was nice to try out, but it’s not helping. I am unable to chart it immediately at times, but it is charted as soon as I can. I like the app but it’s insisting I miss doses when I do not.
Would be ideal but it’s adding doses 2/5
By POTS & PANS 2
The concept is great and was really hoping this was the answer for more accurate medication adherence but the med cabinet and doses isn’t being reflected properly on to the daily pill box that is divided into morning noon evening and night . It would have me take extra doses which could happen if not paying attention . Have tried deleting it but then I look the next day or one after and it’s popped up again . Disappointing as everything else seemed great .
Love It! 5/5
I’ve tried many apps to track my medications. I currently take 7 medications at three times a day. I don’t use the app to remind myself to take my meds but more to keep track of what I’m taking and make sure I’ve taken them.
What I love:
1. The pictures of the pills. I’m a very visual person and being able to see everything helps me make sure I’m taking the right things at the right time.
2. Being able to mark that you’ve taken medications after the fact. I don’t take my medications at specific times. I take one set with lunch, another with dinner and the last before bed. Because of this I could take my lunch meds at 11 one day and 1:30 the next. I can go in and say that I’ve taken them ‘on time‘ at any time.
3. The built in interaction checker. I started using this app a week into starting a new medication. After inputting all my meds, the app alerted me to the fact that there was a major interaction between a medication I’ve been on for four years and the new medication. When the two are paired, it raises your heart rate. My normal heart rate is between 75-90bpm and I had noticed that my heart rate had been hanging around at 130-140bpm for the past few days. I had just brushed it off but the app made me realize that it was actually due to the two medications interacting. I called my Dr and he said that I’m lucky I caught it and had been resting for those few days.
What I would change:
1. This is only my grasping at straws but I would love to see a side effect checker. Something that you could put in a side effect (like increased heart rate) and it will say which medications you’re taking have that listed as a possible side effect.
Overall I love love love this app. I’ve never actually reviewed an app before but I’m just so grateful to have this one I couldn’t not review!
This is the best medicine tracking app I have tried 5/5
By DC in AR
This is the best medicine tracking app I have tried. Over the years I have probably tried 10 or apps. I don’t use all the features of Medisafe but since I take 16 meds a day, including pain meds. Keeping track what take and when to take it if very important and would be difficult without an app like Medisafe. I does a great job of reminding when I should take my medicine and what meds to take.
It is easy to setup and use with information grouped together so that it is clear and informative. I have recommended this app to many of my friends. I have recommended this to several nurses and others in the medical profession and they have all liked what they saw.
This is a great app and if you have not tried it yet, you should download it and start using it today.
I switched from Android to iPhone and I am not too pleased with this app. I had this app NOT to remind me to refill my medicines but every night at midnight, I get notifications reminding me to refill. Please fix.
Medifriend getting aggravated! 2/5
By want to be a better friend!
I take my pills, click “taken”... all good.
Then 30 minutes later it “notifies my medifriend I haven’t taken my pills” WHICH I DID TAKE AND LOGGED AS TAKEN!!!!
This is every day and getting to the point I want to throw my phone!!!
1. Figure out a way to mark drugs as taken other than placing a check mark 5 times (if taking 5 drugs). Allow an entire weeks meds to be checked off. I use drug tracker to know when to reorder. I regularly rennet to take a drug.
2. Provide security that you will not not not sell health information to. Drug manufacturer, health care org, goverment And it will bé Secure I will not use additional features until such guarantees
Too buggy 1/5
Works beautifully for awhile, then - POOF!
You are unable to access the app and your medication list!
Which for me is a MUST, since my med list happens to be an extensive one and whenever I go to see my Dr's the ALWAYS want to see what medications I am taking.
Also it is a MUST for me to keep track of when I have to refill each one of my medications as well.
Now since I am unable to access the app, it makes it impossible to do so.
How is it that just by touching the app button you are unable to access the app? I have NO Other APP on my iPhone that has this problem.
I have done ALL the necessary trouble-shooting to find the problem, yet I'm still unable to access the app. No matter how hard I touch the app button, it refuses to open the app or give ANY option (like the other apps do, on the iPhone 6s+)
I'm really beginning to wonder if this app is as "wonderful" as all the so-called news sites and magazines claim that it is.
Love this app 5/5
I would never remember my meds if it weren’t for this app! Wish we had more free sounds like we used to.
Generally works well just not with Apple Watch 3/5
Anytime I snooze or press “taken” on my Apple Watch it never registers with the app on my phone. It would be nice for this functionality to work since I don’t always have my phone on me.
رائع جداً 5/5
رائع جداً ومفيد
Really simple and easy to use. Great for post surgery.
Nice. I haven’t checked into any of the others as this seems to fit all my needs. I like the pill box and the form and color of the meds to keep it all straight in my head. With the Apple Watch it has made remembering to take, and what to take a non issue.
Not a great reminder 1/5
Doesn’t really give adequate alerts.
Broke my ankle and this app helped me remember to take my pain killers every 4 hours. Very simple and easy to use!
Useless for some cases 2/5
I'm not on daily meds, but after an operation I was prescribed certain meds ie: 1 ever 12 hours and another every 6 hours but there are only option for days! Really useless for this case!
Love this app!! Works well and easy to use.
Great app 5/5
By Sharon P.
I like that I can mark take medication on time or snooze it. Other apps are cumbersome in these areas. I like that the pictures look like my pills. Easy to use, helpful.
Close but not usable for me 3/5
This app is so close to being exactly what I need but not close enough. I love the pill box interface but I don’t take pills four times a day, I take them six times a day (with breakfast, mid morning, with lunch, mid afternoon, with dinner and at bedtime). As it is now this app forces you to organize your pills into four predefined boxes. It needs to allow the user to set the number of boxes, define/name them and also to set a time range for each one vs a set time. I don’t eat lunch at exactly the same time every day so a reminder going off at exactly 12pm -hit snooze- go off again, etc. would get very annoying really quick. Users also need the option of making a pill “skipable” when they set it up. Not every supplement I take needs to be taken daily.
My background: I have a rare autoimmune disease that I am trying to reverse naturally, using numerous supplements as part of my healing protocol. Some must be taken on an empty stomach, some with food, some once a day, others multiple times. The app as it is now is unusable for me. I am currently using Pills Ping because it is the closest to what I need though I do like the look and pill box interface of this app much better. If the above changes are ever made I will definitely switch.
Lifesaver for me! 4/5
Love this program. Have had to start taking multiple medications over the last couple years and this is helped me keep track of them and my usage. One suggestion, I would love to see is the ability to add notes to a medication. There are many that I’ve had to stop due to side effects and I would love to be able to note that in the system to help me keep track of why I stopped the medication.
I really like but ....you have some problems to fix!!! 2/5
Really like using this APP and find it meets my needs. I like being able to look back & see when I had doctor/dentist appointments.
I use the diary section a lot. However, when typing in information you keep adding info but it only scrolls down so far so you're typing blindly below the keyboard. If that could be fixed it would be a big improvement.
Still like having it and use it a lot on my iPAD but the keyboard still covers if you type very much in diary & contact info for Dr's you can't see the address your typing in until done. Really would improve the APP if this could be fixed.
You need to fix the app so when used on the iPad as stated above you still cannot see what your typing once the keyboard appears. If you add a doctor and want to add the address you can’t see what your typing. I don’t understand why this cannot be fixed.
Also when you type in the diary ....if you list too much info you can’t see what you are typing there. I have never experienced this type of thing with any other APPS I have used.
Under address you should have it so Street, City, State, ZIP
HIV & Bipolar: A Critical Tool 5/5
I am diagnosed Bipolar II and HIV+, and this app is a complete lifesaver! My medications can get complex, are highly time dependent and need monitoring by my doctor, so your standard alert app really falls short. While the initial setup for your routine takes a minute or two, the flexibility and ease of use makes it worth it! I can’t recommend this highly enough!
Super Great for Forgetful People, There’s a Bug 4/5
I have memory problems, and it’s really nice to have something to remind me that I have meds to take. I’m experiencing a bug though where I click take all on a medication and it’ll pull up the “why aren’t you taking this med” pop up. It may also be nice to have a report bug feature.
Just started and already noticed a few glitches. I have to take meds every 6hrs so I placed under 4x a day. Automatically it sets it to 8am 12pm 4pm and 8pm. Or something like that. When i tried to edit the times it wouldnt register under the pill box times when reviewing the times. I then deleted the med and started from scratch this time setting the med Right from the beginning to 6am 12pm 6pm and 12am. It then deleted my 12am visit instead of placing it in night time med box. I had to delete the medication again and start from scratch this time putting 5:59 AM 11:59 AM 5:59 PM and 11:59 PM so that it would register correctly. 😓
Best app 5/5
I looked at over a half dozen apps and this one is the most aesthetic and visually pleasing app that I’ve seen. The graphic user interface showing the pillboxes at different times of the day cannot be beat. One tap on one pill box and you will be able to administer the dose all at once.
The library of medications makes it easy to search and choose the right medication for you instead of having to enter all of your medications manually.
Only one drawback that I see with this app: you can only put the medication down and track for for one person without having to upgrade with this prescription fee. I observe a couple of other medication trackers that allows this feature.
If you only tracking medications for yourself and have no desire to upgrade this will be the best application for you.
Multi device 3/5
App is great but the updates between devices 9s t working very well. While at home I mostly use my iPad and while I am out I use iPhone. Would be nice to see them properly sync
Works good on phone not Apple Watch 4/5
If I go into app on phone and mark taken I’m done till next time. If I mark taken on I watch series 2 in 10 minuets it’s tell me to take again.after updates it works about 1/2 the time on the watch.
Great but... 3/5
By Boo doesn't work
Overall I like this app and it's very helpful. BUT I'm having a big problem with the medfriend feature. It sends my friend a notice almost every night that I may have forgotten my meds when they've already been checked off, on time. I've tried removing and adding the med back, no luck. Only at night, not morning.
No option for NOT sharing your personal info 2/5
This just wasn’t the app for me. There is no way to prevent your personal information from being shared with the developer. HIPPA compliance or not, I don’t want or need my information shared with anyone.
I’ll just set up periodic reminders in the calendar app I guess.
Be sure to read the privacy statement before you download.
Simple but needs one thing 3/5
I like this app a lot. My only complaint is that if you accidentally clear the notification to record taking your medication there is no way to go in and update taking it. It just shows up as missed and you can’t edit it. That is not helpful because you no longer have a current record and can’t even update. A bit frustrating.
Yep, one that works! 5/5
Got this thing 18 months after transplant. Before that -Missed at least 3-4 doses per month. Using alarms and whatnot. After getting this app have not Moses a dose. Good stuff.
New update 2/5
By Marci Bullen
So not sure if it’s the user (me) or what this last update totally messed up my pillbox. It doubled everything including meds I have take in years. Previously I loved the app and used it happily. I feel overwhelmed and have to have my kids try and fix it.
Feb 25th Update Breaks Notification 3/5
1st... I can't find a single feedback path in the app... why are you making it so hard to provide feedback or bug reports.
Last update breaks the ability to "Take" medications from the notifications panel on the today screen. Swiping the notification to get to "view" is OK, but tapping view does nothing. It is a nuisance to have to open the app to mark medications taken.
Love it. 5/5
I’m pretty good at managing my meds, but the second I’m put on a new one, no matter how temporary, I put it into Medisafe.
I’m taking several meds daily that need to be well timed to avoid interaction and this keeps me on track and makes me feel safe (plus informed with extra videos and info on my meds).
I love that it’s persistent in reminding me because though it can be annoying to be prodded, it really is necessary.
My only gripe is the sound of the alert. Had to turn that off right away because it drives me nuts, scares me half to death, and wakes up the dog. I could do with an option to change that, but I do enough on my phone that I notice my alerts when they come without any sound.
