Despite a massive catalog of plants, it is almost always wrong.
Nah . . . 1/5
Total waste of money. The only accurate identification was poison ivy. Everything else is a lot of guesswork.
Better ID 4/5
Looking forward to better ability for PlantSnap to identify plants. Sometimes it is off
Very handy 5/5
By Live Oak Hippie
I have moved to a new area. I am not as familiar with the plants here. Plant Snap helps a lot.
Doh! Doh! Doh! Doh! Yay! 4/5
If you use this app to recognize a plant that is hard to identify you will have to take 4 or 5 photos. Each time it will recognize the plant incorrectly. Eventually it makes you shrug you shoulders and think to yourself, “I guess I really don’t want to know the name of that plant.” Then if you point the app at a plant that is easy to identify it will instantly recognize the plant. This app would be fun for people who don't know the names of any of the common garden plants. It fun to use, when it works. I gave it four stars because i think it is freaking amazing that it works at all.
Love this app
Wild flowers 5/5
I enjoy this app as I’m learning more about flowers I’m finding in the north Georgia mountains!
Uploads bad, iPad crashes. 1/5
How can I get my money back?
By Mr Beau
This app is so amazing. It increases my already vast knowledge base into the genius zone.
Mostly accurate 5/5
I really enjoy this app... and it’s accurate about 80% of the time.
I find the plant names every time. 5/5
I wasn’t getting an accurate name until I made the photo smaller by zooming in.
It’s OK, does not identify plants very well.
ftrs suny 5/5

Wrong again 1/5
They have yet to identify one plant correct not worth the money.
Saved my Life 4/5
By Sensible Eater
Identified a plant that was growing in our front lawn as poisonous. It resembles dandelion but is actually “something vulgaris” or “old man in the spring”. Said to cause cause irreversible liver damage. I was about to throw it into a salad.
so far I am not confident ... 1/5
I have not felt that plant identification has been accurate. I could probably do just as well looking up in a book. I will continue to use and see if I things improve with practice.
I love the concept but I am struggling with the execution.
Plant snap 5/5
This is a fantastic application. I’ve only had a few that couldn’t be identified out of the tons that were. Thank you for you information!
Just okay, but annoying. 1/5
Tried it several times and got such wide, incorrect results on almost everything. Also uninstalled after being annoyed by pointless notifications in the middle of the night...
Plant identification 3/5
Many fruits and plants that I have submitted have never been identified by PlantSnap. Please update your database.
Plant Lovers Dream App 5/5
This app is a favorite of mine. We often travel and see plants around the world that I would love to have at home, if only for the summer. This lets you snap a picture and it will immediately give you the plants name and also if it is a available for you to purchase. It is a flower or plant lovers dream.
Love love love! 5/5
Best app ever! It’s always improving. Lately, it’s been 100% accurate.
Plants and such 5/5
I am impressed with this app since I am able to identify a plant that is growing in my back yard. Today 1-14-20 mushrooms after a warm up we’re growing. The ability of life to grow in all conditions is very amazing.
Fails at central function. 2/5
This app is terrible at recognizing Florida plants. It could not even identify a sable palm, the most common native palm in Florida.
Wonderful App 5/5
As a student of agriculture I appreciate this app so much. It helped me with some classes already and is good for just getting to know the flora around us. It’s not 100 percent accurate all the time and that’s alright me. But it gives me a solid starting point to begin identifying those rare plants.
Awesome, easy to use plant ID app! 5/5

A truly easy and fun way to identify plants that you are curious about! WHEREVER you go the app really works well!
Okay, but 4/5

I really want to enjoy this app and I did up until a couple of weeks ago. They could not identify a plant I sent them a picture of and said it was being processed but like I said that was about two weeks ago and I’m still waiting. Also I believe there is a paid version of this app but I can’t seem to find it.
Always wrong 1/5
By CA Tina
After showing it photos of 5 plants I know, it has come up with 0 of them right. I’ll be deleting this useless app.

Laredo Texas deplorable loving this app. Jeffry Epstein didn’t kill him self
Not always accurate 3/5
I am in a new area of the US and I am trying to learn about the new plants and flowers here. I snap and post and sometimes the identification On this app is incorrect.

Love this app because it works well for me!💗👍
Review on use of Plantsnap 5/5
By Master Gardener Nancy
I just started using Plantsnap today and found the three plants to be identified were identified correctly. I could not find the icon to pull pictures of plants which I took on our trip to Alaska this summer off my recorded pictures already on my phone. Should that icon be at the bottom line where it would be easily seen? I know this app will be very helpful in future use.
What am I paying the app?
Not recommended 2/5
By poppy seed guy
Not accurate at all! I’ve tried it several times but the results the app shows are never correct.
Am I missing something?? 1/5
I never write reviews but somehow this app in my experience is worse than a blind persons guess. They have never even come close to getting it right. I have a small ripple leafed plant in the back yard with black currant looking berries on it. I was wanting to know if it’s poisonous for my son. The results came back as a wide leafed shrub that couldn’t have looked more different. I get these results all the time. What app do the 5 star reviews have cause it ain’t this one
Poor identification 2/5
I’ve snapped several of plants i know and it can’t identify it’s proper name. Very disappointed
I was hopeful of this app for when I’m out and about and didn’t know the name of a plant I cone across only to be disappointed
Works pretty well most of the time. Was excellent in Italy.
Can’t identity much 1/5
Sent numerous photos and they still could not identify plant. Their requirements are too exacting. Anyway in the trash it goes.
Great app BUT 3/5
You lost me when you force me to login with a personal account. Gooooooosbyyyyeeeee!!!
Can’t do fall leafs 1/5
Just finished a fall walk and PlantSnap failed to identify 9 out of 10 leafs.
Thought my pin oak leaf was a mushroom for instance.
I tried it on several different species of Oak and maple it got them all wrong, wasn’t even close.
Great on a hike. 5/5
This is a good app to learn about indigenous plants.

This app keeps getting better with time.
Amazing app been waiting for this! 5/5
Love being able to take a picture of a plant and see what it is and if it would grow in my region!
Likely choices 3/5
Mostly good but sometimes frustrating when I can tell the ID is wrong. Like the alternative possibilities. Very educational for amateur botanist.
Easy and accurate 5/5
An invaluable tool for creating a garden plant wish list.
Does not identify plants reliably 1/5
I have tried this app multiple times on both N iPhone 8 and iPhone 11 pro carefully following the directions. It has a low rate of correct identification for plants in our area of Tennessee. I would suggest to the developer to use location info to adjust its suggested identification.
I get inquisitive sometimes and this helps scratch the itch
Dream app 5/5
This app is kind of a dream come true. I know something like this has been around for a while but it’s working really well now.
